I am from UK & trying to call the USA Mobile Number but each time i get an error saying Invalid phone number ?
I have called this number many times before & had no problem then suddenly it has stopped working.

I send an email from my Iphone to a friend. My friend receives it on her Iphone, but as text message. She replies and it goes back to my daughter's phone, a completely different email and phone number. Why?

I send an email from my Iphone to a friend. My friend receives it on her Iphone, but as text message. She replies and it goes back to my daughter's phone, a completely different email and phone number. Why?

We went through my friend's phone and my daughter's email and phone number are not in it. I have never given my daughter's iphone number to my friend. Is it something to do with gmail or my apple id? My daughter (14) has been using my computer as her "base" for HER Iphone.
My friend does use her iphone number as an email address as well.
For instance: her phone number might look like this: (493) 305-3958
and her email address would look like this: [email protected]
If I Iphone/email my friend, she receives it as a text message. Then if she replies to that text message, it goes to my daughter's phone and not mine. It's completely crazy! We searched her phone contacts and did not find my daughter's phone number anywhere or attached anywhere to mine. Since when does Iphone emailing wind up in the text messaging area?

Call ended - invalid phone number

Skype keeps telling me I am entering an invalid phone number. I have tried several time without success. I have credit in my account that I cannot use. I am talking of a landline in Chile here not even a cell phone.
The message "call ended - invalid phone number" appears every time I try to call a number that I have called regularly for the past year. Don't know why it stopped working or how to remedy it. I have tried dialing from my contacts list as well as dialing directly.
Sometimes (not always) other numbers in the same city seem to work making it a selective issue.
I can't figure out what's wrong.
This matter has been popping up since last year and no one in the bloody company of Skype has been able to supply a proper response in the community area or at least an instruction to fix it for ever more.
If any of these seems familiar to you it's because I cut and paste messages of different people having the same problem although with no solution at hand

I am having the same issue. I have checked for updates, but it says I have the most up-to-date version, I have checked my subscription, no problems there, I even have almost $15 in credit in addition to an unlimited monthly subscription. I think the problem started when Microsoft started messing with Skype. I am going to be asking for a refund on my credit and the past several months of my subscription if this issue can't be resolved. It won't work from either of my laptops, PS3, iPhone or iPad... Thier billing still seems to be working though, they charge me every month even though I can't use the service. I have sent messages to thier support as well but have not heard a word back. Any suggestions? Have already uninstalled and re-installed a few times...

Hungary - invalid phone number

I'm from Hungary and I have bought recentyl an unlimited world subscription. I tried to call some ordinary inland wired phone numbers, but I'have always received an "invalid phone number" error message. I can call only 2-3 numbers.
I did not miss the country prefix, so no idea what the problem is.
Can anybody help?

VideoHead, I just discovered the "Leave Feedback" screen in Skype, and I have sent in a feedback message, but I am not hopeful. Microsoft implies this form is just for requests for additional program features or for comments about audio or video quality.
I suppose asking for Skype to work in the first place is a type of feature request, but that's probably not what Microsoft is interested in.
If I should hear anything useful from Skype, I promise to post it here for you (and for others).

How do I get Verizon to move on my old phone number message

It has been over a week, 2 hours on the phone with verizon (yes 2 hours) and many promises to put the proper, "... the new number is ..." rather than the incorrect "... this line is no longer in service or disconnected". I stayed with verizon rather than go to a local carrier so that mistakes like this would not happen, but I am continuing to get the run around and being passed from one phone number to another. Does anyone know who I can contact at verizon to make the message correct as requested when we moved? The 877, 800 service, repair and customer service verizon numbers all seem to generate the same confusion and continual passing from one phone number to the next.

I get an invalid serial number message

Crashed my hard drive. Went to my Adobe account and pulled up my Products list. Downloaded CS5 and input the serial number in my Products list. Everything went fine. Downloaded Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and input the serial number in my Products list. Got "invalid serial number" message.
What's the story? What do I do now?
PC system running Windows 7 Ultimate.

N73 - error "internet : invalid phone number"

i try to make a program use J2ME. this program is only add "*11" before the phonenumber. the format is like this :
example : 081805135895 (phone number)
*11081805136895 (after add "*11")
if this number send to provider, it make user can use a fiture from this provider.
I have "textfield.phonenumber" to get the phone number from user. when i fill this textfield with searching from phonebook, my program can work well. But, when this combination number send to the provider, N73 show error "internet : invalid phone number". in fact this program can run at nokia 6600, and some phone from Sony Ericsson.
i hope somebody can help me ... plizz....

Its not something that SKYPE doesn't know about. This same problem has been going on intermittently since 2011. (There are posts that date back to January 2011)
This seems to be a problem that Skype is unwilling to solve or fix.
Perhaps if people called the Better Buisness Bureau and other authorities like the FCC, perhaps after a few million in fines they'll be willing to actually fix the problem.
IF their company is not in the US, then they can be banned from operating in the US. This would create a problem for them as all countries would follow suit...except china.
This problem might be considered a fraudulent service as you are paying for a service you can not use or promised services are not available as stated.
So all the "moderators" that try to regurgitate the "make sure..." manifesto don't really have a clue. Its also not possible to hold moderators responsible for "placating" people with BS solutions as their usually not part of the company nor are they being paid to "moderate" forums.
The only thing you can truly do is cancel your sub for Skype or just not renew it when it ends, this is what I plan to do. I can get vonage and pay a bit more and get problems solved. Perhaps when they lose a few million "PAYING" customers they'll acvtually get a proper support service and start acting like they have a service to render.
Thats my advice, like it or lump it you know I'm right. So go get vonage for VOIP and drop Skype until they get a clue as to what their doing.

When installing CS5 Design Stanard I get an "invalid serial number" message. How do I check to see if the SN

This is very frustrating! I can't get my program (CS5 Design standard) to load. I had a computer crash, and I get an "Invalid Serial Number" message every time. I'm using the same serial number that came with the program. What do I do next? I get sent into a loop of Q & A's whenever I ask a question. I have never seen a website with so many links before. Someone said to debug the SN#, but I can't find the link to debug. HELP!!!

I've been told that Web Chat is handled from the US time zones so if you're in a different part of the world, you may have to accommodate that.
Serial number issues cannot be handled in a forum because (obviously), you're communicating a serial number which would be broadcast to the entire internet. Also, few Adobe employees are on most of the forums. There are NO Adobe employees on this forum.

"Not a valid phone number" message....

I'm trying to set up my keychain, which I had to reset because I had misplaced/forgotten my code.
When it comes to entering my phone number to receive an sms for verification, the message "+xxx xxxxxxxx is not a valid phone number" comes up. When I enter a landline number, it accepts it - I cannot accept sms's via a landline. I live in Botswana. I have checked the Apple website and Botswana is listed as one of the countries with this service. I had used the number previously - before the reset - and it worked fine.
Why, now, does it give this message? Anyone out there with a solution?

There are other people that have had the same problem with this version I will look into it.

MEID number and invalid phone number

I’m having trouble with over-the-air programming for my Palm Pixi Plus. I bought the phone new, then had it sent to HP Palm to be repaired. The phone was activated when I bought it, but after it was repaired it no longer works. I called *228 and it says programming successful after a few seconds, but when I dial out, I get a Verizon prompt saying the phone number is invalid.
I was told that HP sometime changes the MEID # after repairs, but I don’t know how to check it on the phone itself. I’ve tried the bypass tool but it won’t run – it doesn’t do anything. The file I downloaded is devicetool.jar and it is in the main c: drive. The command prompt line I was using is java –jar devicetool.jar
I’ve also downloaded webOS doctor and reset my phone, but it still didn’t work.
Any other suggestions? Should I trust that the MEID number on the CDMA Test Data Sheet is the same as what the phone is programmed as?

The MEID is a hard-coded number and is not controlled by the software. However, if you would like to check, you can go to the Device Info application and tap the More Info button to see all kinds of information, including the MEID of the phone.
Your best bet is to call Verizon and let them know what's going on. If you can go through the activation ok, then it's probably the network that is blocking you call. They should be able to identify the problem and remove it.

Acrobat 8 3D "invalid serial number" message

I'm getting the message, "You have entered an invalid serial number. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat 8 professional and enter in a valid serial number when asked."
However, the fixes on the Adobe forums for this problem state that it occurs due to Creative Suite 3 (CS3) installations, but I haven't had the CS3 installed on this Windows XP SP2 machine.
I only have standalone InDesign CS3 installed, not the suite. I had the beta standalone IDCS3 installed, and uninstalled it before installing the shipping version.
I had the shipping version of FrameMaker 8 standalone installed. I uninstalled it before installing the beta Technical Communications Suite (TCS). I uninstalled it, restarted Windows XP SP2, then installed the shipping version of TCS, registered it, and authorized it.
With the exception of Acrobat 8 3D, the TCS applications run fine.
I've tried repairing the Acrobat 8 3D component of TCS, and also tried updating to 8.1.1, but no change in the message.
I've only found solutions for the invalid license error that relate to CS3, not TCS.
Before I uninstall TCS, which takes over an hour, and then run the CS3 cleanup script at level 2 - the Adobe knowledgebase recommendation, I'd like to know if this procedure has been successful for anyone who has had the problem, but hadn't installed CS3. I don't want to find out that running the CS3 cleanup script level 2 causes damage because the suite isn't and wasn't installed.
Has anyone done this?

If only the bug lists would honor these brave souls by naming the bug discovery after them, as well as identifying them with prosaic bug-database numbers<G>. Your solution was very helpful. Here are some notes that may be helpful to others. I'm also reporting this to the beta program. * Removing TCS with Add/Remove Programs didn't fix it. In addition, somehow, although TCS was removed from the application list in A/R, it seemed to be on my system, even after restarting the computer and Windows! I could launch some of the applications, but because it seemed so uncertain, I didn't want to stop at this point and pray nothing would go wrong later. * I ran Microsoft Install Repair Utility, which seemed not to do much. * I rebooted and reinstalled TCS, but had the same problem with Acrobat 3D, so I figured the cleaning wasn't complete. So I uninstalled it, then ran Microsoft Install Repair again, after which... * I copied a bunch of settings files and third-party scripts and plug-ins from Programs/Application Support/Adobe, and my User/Application Support/Adobe folders for the installed ID CS3, and also zipped the whole installation to preserve any information I might need to recover or information about where things need to go in the directory tree, before uninstalling InDesign CS3 and InCopy CS3. Then I ran the Adobe clean-up script level 2, which ran the Microsoft utility. Just to be "extra careful," I ran the Microsoft utility separately; This time it proposed to remove itself! Must be something to do with having nothing left to clean up? Removing it results in the Adobe cleanup script level 2 reporting that the utility isn't installed, needs to be, and quits. Circles within circles - confusing in its helpful way, or helpful in its confusing way. * I ran the Adobe CS3 Clean Up Script level 2, in the preview mode, to see what it planned to do. It proposed to remove InDesign and InCopy CS3 directories, so I removed them before proceeding. * Finally, ran the CS3 clean up script level 2 for real, rebooted, installed TCS, gave the serial number, and was back in business...almost. - Applications launched OK, including Acrobat 8 3D, but, attempting to save a FM document as PDF displayed an error that Distiller couldn't run because Acrobat 8 3D wasn't activated (even though the TCS activation was working for all apps in the suite). While I was doing another slow burn because this was a reprise of one of the problems that sent me on this Odyssey hours and days earlier, Lo! and Behold!, Distiller launched, then Acrobat opened to display the PDF. I'm guessing that Acrobat 8 wasn't *running* at the time I did Save As PDF, so the error was an error in detecting Acrobat. Man! * I was going to leave out the part where I mistakenly entered the beta-test serial number when launching the new TCS installation, which was accepted and worked up to the point that the validator closed the application! The only solution was to uninstall, run MS utility for good luck, pray, and reinstall, which was successful. I provided the correct serial number, and am back in business. This is pilot error, but it reveals a bug that should be fixed - the application should not give a green check mark (valid serial) indicator to a timed-out serial number. The serial should be invalid if it is invalid. Another bug is that the option to activate the suite by checking an application in the final screen should not provide check boxes for the three applications - the check boxes should be radio buttons. Checking multiple applications opens each checked application and prompts for validation. Very confusing!!! Hoping that this helps others stay out of trouble, or that this helps them find solutions. Invalid phone number

I have been a skype user in the UK since 2009 and have a subscription to call Canadian mobiles and landlines, where I have been calling the same numbers from my skype contacts with no problems until now. When I dial, it does not connect anymore and says invalid number, and from my iphone 5 it says "That isn't a valid skype name or phone number. I have tried deleting the contact and re-adding, or dialing manullay but I get the same error. I have also tried rebooting both devices and logging back onto skype but no luck.
Please help

I'm using Version 6.3.0.602 OSX and 4.6.306 on iOS I am using the correct format of dialing the number as I have been for the past few years. As I mentioned before, the numbers saved in my contacts have not been changed. I have also tried deleting the contacts and re-adding a new contact... On Friday I was having this problem, and it went away. And tonight I was in the middle of a call to a Canadian landline and the muted during the call. I then tried again and the number now is apparently invalid. This is quite frustrating as I am not only trying to contact family back home but also paying for a service in which I am not recieving.

IMessage only recognize Apple ID / Email but not phone number. Why?

I have a small problem with the iMessage. My phone only recognize and auto detect the apple ID but not the phone number who are available for iMessage. Does anyone experienced the same problem?
These print screen below is 2 examples from my contact who actually available for the iMessage with their phone number.

i think i have found a fix for this its worked for me so its worth a try. You will need the other persons phone to do this.
1) Delete the contact from your phone.
2) On your phone go to Settings > Messages then tap receive at, it it has your Apple ID e-mail address at the top tap that and sign out this will remove your e-mail address from iMessage leaving just your phone number.
3) Go back to Message settings turn off iMessage.
4) Turn off your phone and back on.
5) Go back to Settings > Messages and turn back on iMessage it will then reactivate iMessage
Now for your friends phone
1) Go to yourself on your friends contact list and remove your e-mail address if they have it saved.
2) Go to Settings > Messages then tap receive at, if it has their Apple ID e-mail address at the top tap that and sign out removing their e-mail address.
3) Go back to Message settings turn off iMessage.
4) Turn off their phone and turn it back on
5) Go back to Settings > Messages and turn back on iMessage
once reactivated on both phones follow these steps.
1) Send a message from your friends phone to yours
2) On your phone the message should come through and will have your friends mobile number at the top
3) Reply to your friends message.
4) Save your friends phone number as a contact again leaving the the country code (i.e UK country code +44)
5) Delete the message between you and your friend on your phone then compose a new message and and select your friends number and it should automatically send as a iMessage send the message then go back to your contacts remove the Country code from the number and from there on then the iMessage will detect that persons phone number as a iMessage compatible device.
This has worked for me and 3 other of my friends who where having the same problem with a number of their contacts, it seems the error is more to do with your friends phone, when activating iMessage for the first time it automatically defaults to the Apple ID and in some cases causing the phone number not to register correctly with the Apple servers this step by step removes the e-mail and reactivates nothing but the phone number with the iMessage servers.
