Invalid Photoshop Document PLEASE HELP

Yesterday night I was painting a picture on Photoshop, and I saved then closed my laptop to go to bed. Today I tried to open the file again, but it said that Photoshop could not complete my request due to it being an invalid document. I am both shocked and sad by this event because I don't know how to fix it, It will not open with programs such as paint and I've checked the properties and everything seems fine. Someone please help! I don't know what to do :C

You may have saved the file with the wrong extension. (saved a PSD, but with a .tif extension for example.) If this is the case, you should just be able to rename the file with the extension of the format the file was actually saved as and it will open okay.

Downloaded the Trial version. It still says the serial number key is invalid. On the iWork page where I am suppose to enter the serial number key, the "Go Back" button is always BOLD, but the "Continue" button remains GREY all the time. The "Continue" button remains grey even after I have completed the key entry. I have to type the "Return" key on my keyboard to force enter the key. The message I get is still "Invalid key".
I have called Apple. The first person helped by asking me to delete certain items in some Folders and it still did not work. I was then connected to a senior person, but I heard over the recording that there were 15 persons waiting on the line. I had to end the call because the wait will take too long.

Invalid Number Error Please help Urgent

I am trying to create a report in discoverer where in I get an invalid number error for the statement
,DECODE(final.TYP,'Sales',to_char(final.future_supplpy),'B/O','B/O') sale_type.
We have the requirement that when TYP is Sales i need to display future supply and when the TYP is B/O i need to display B/O.
The query runs perfectly fine in TOAD but in Discoverer Desktop when i run the report i get an error message
invalid number.
Please help its urgent

Hi Ashwani
First of all, your statement appears to not be handling anything other than Sales or B/O. Is that deliberate? If not, you need a default, catch all value at the end like this:
DECODE(final.TYP,'Sales',NVL(final.future_supply,to_char(final.future_supply),'B/O','B/O', default_value) sale_type
You also might want to make sure there aren't any NULL values in future_supply or in TYP and if there are you might want to consider using an NVL for these, like this:
DECODE(final.TYP,'Sales',NVL(to_char(final.future_supply,NULL),'B/O','B/O', default_value) sale_type
Also, when using DECODE you don't always need to use TO_CHAR as the DECODE conversion to a string typically takes place automatically. CASE is different as it insists that all results are of the same data type.

I have been working on installing this software for weeks now and am at the end. The first time the organizer installed but the editor wouldn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and am ready to take this application back to the store. I have a Vista machine.

It still didn't work. I paid for Photoshop 12 at Costco. The organizer downloaded just fine but when I tried to use the editor, the screen appeared asking for my Adobe sign on, I signed on, and then the application just churned. I had to use task manager to stop it. Per your instruction, I downloaded Photoshop 13 from the site, it downloaded fine and then asked for my Adobe sign on and then just churned. I can now access Photoshop 13 organizer but still can't get editor.
This is ridiculous. Last night I did the msconfig.exe and followed the instructions on changing the start up menu and disabling everything.
I am furious about this. It looks like you want me to pay for Photoshop Elements 13 when I can't get 12 to work. This is a Vista machine.

Did you upgrade to Lion just before setting up iCloud? that's more likely to be the issue. PhotoShop CS2 is a PPC program and won't run on Lion - on Snow Leopard it requires Rosetta to emulate PPC, and this is not included in Lion. CS3 and lateer apparently work though with issues.
Click on the program's icon in the Finder and hit command-i. Near the top of the pane it will say 'Kind': if it says 'PowerPC' then this is the problem. It will not run on Lion and there is no workaround. You will need to revert to Snow Leopard (you could install this on an external disk and start up from that).

Im trying to open up a photoshop document but when I click on it it says "Its an invalid photoshop document". Is there anyway I can fix this?

This error is telling you that this file does not contain the information required of a PSD. There are basically one of two things going on here: 1) The file is not a PSD, but is instead a JPEG, TIFF, or some other image format, it simply has the wrong file extension. 2) The file is corrupt and is missing contents.
In the first case, you can try changing the file extension to different formats and retry opening until you find the right one. In the second case, you will have to get a new copy of the file (if someone supplied it to you or you downloaded it) or refer to a backup (if one is available). In the case of a corrupt file, if the file was downloaded originally, it may not have completed downloading. Same if you copied from a disk or from a network source. If this was a locally saved file, it suggests another application on the computer interfered with the file creation process and resulted in an incomplete file. Such applications that are known to cause this type of behavior are antivirus (and other security software), backup solutions, and encryption. Additionally, bad RAM or hard drives can also result in this behavior.

Kernel panic/invalid node structure; please help retrieving my files!!

Hi everyone, thank you for your time in advance... if anyone has ideas about how to solve it, I appreciate this very much!
OK, here is how it began: while I was working on the airplane using PowerPoint, the gray spinning wheel appeared after which PowerPoint stopped working. I pressed the power button to exit (all applications froze). (So much for trying to get more work done...)
Next, I powered up the computer but it would not boot up, with only gray spinning wheel showing.
Next, tried to boot up while pressing power button and holding shift key. After some time (10 minutes), an error message appears. Researching it on discussion forums, I found that it is called “kernel panic”. Here is beginning of the message:

Also, message “You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again” is shown transparently in the middle of the screen over the “panic” message output.
I turned on and off the Power button many times, but I get the same error message.
I also tried Apple Hardware Test but it did not work (it did not generate any messages).
Next, I tried to use the Disk Utility using the Installation Disk that came with the computer. After I clicked “Disk Repair”, here is the log:

I need to retrieve my recent files!! Please Help!! Argh!! I promise that I will promptly back up my files now! I did not use Time Machine, and only some of my files are backed up.
From what I read on the discussion forum, I will probably need to erase the disk and then do a fresh installation, but could someone please guide me with regard to how to back up the data / retrieve the files? I may have access to another mac so I’m thinking that the FireWire Target Disk Mode may work. I also have spare external harddrive (formatted for mac) (not partitioned). Also, how do I retrieve the files from the other computer if the FireWire transfer works?
Also, the second step is to do a new installation, but is there any reason why “Archive and Install” using Disk Utility won’t help? I have some additional programs installed (Illustrator, Photoshop) so this means if I do a new installation, I will need to re-install those as well?

Also, how do I investigate whether this problem is due to a failing hard drive or a natural file system corruption ? (so should I get a new harddrive or do a new install).

Of course not. You need ACR (Camera Raw) version 2.4. Version 2.0 does NOT support DNGs.

Nope. Point the DNG Converter to a folder containing RAW files, not to the raw files themselves. The DNG Converter works on Folders containing raw files, not on individual files.

But when I am trying to display the billing document by using T Code: VF01

ORDDoc - Loading Word Document - Please Help

I am trying to upload the word document (doc format) to the table i have in oracle database. The table has the column of type OrdDoc.
I am using Intermedia Java API to load the word file from my local system to the database. The upload is happening successfully but when i try to retreive the document i see that its empty and even the properties (mimetype, format) of the document are null.
I would appreciate if anyone of you could please tell me what am i doing wrong and how can i upload the file correctly.
Below is more information about table structure and also the java code.

Thanks for the reply.
In my example the reason i did not invoke setProperties() method is because the setProperties method exposed in OrdDoc class is not same as the setProperties method in OrdAudio or OrdImage.
In OrdDoc class setProperties(byte[][] ctx,boolean setComments) takes two arguments where as setProperties() in OrdAudio and OrdImage does not take any arguments.

When i tried to use setProperties(ctx,true) in OrdDoc i was getting an error.
Can you please tell if this is the correct way to invoke setProperties on OrdDoc in Java Program?
Regarding the list of format that Intermedia Understands, the Appendices A, B and C in Intermedia Refererence talks only about Audio, Image and Video. It doesnt have any details about Document (pdf, txt, doc) files. Can you please tell where can i look for the list of formats that intermedia understands for OrdDoc?
Since the dataType is OrdDoc in my table. How do i check the LOB length?
I tried it using Intermedia Java API by calling getContentLength method after retreiving the OrdDoc column from resultset but it has a value of '0'. So am not sure why the document is not getting loaded.
Please help me resolve this issue.
