Invalid SAP Sourcing 7.0 Home Directory

Hi All,
We are installing SAP Sourcing 7.0 on Windows 2003 x64. As a pre-requisite we installed NW CE 7.1 EHP1 on Oracle 11g.
We have successfully Installed the SAP Sourcing 7.0 by executing the setup.exe and files got created.
Configuration wizard also come up automatically.
Now here, at the very initial screen when i click on Next I am getting the below error,
Invalid SAP Sourcing 7.0 Home Directory
The configure utility is not located in a valid SAP sourcing 7.0 home directory.
Make sure that your configure executable is in the SAP Sorurcing 7.0 <home directory>/bin folder.
We have provided installation directory inside usr\sap\SID.
Kindly help us in resolving the issue. Do we need to set any environment variable or parameter.
Regards,
Siva.

Hi Siva,
Do you still have this problem..?
We even had the similar problem and we resolved it by adding the system variable as below...
FCI_HOME  =  f:\esourcing7\bin
JAVA_HOME =  F:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\jvm\NTAMD64\sapjvm_5.1.070\sapjvm_5\jre
and also  add the JAVA home path to the PATH system variable.
After this logoff and reinisiate the instal.
Cheerz,
Satish

  • FileSync Failure On Mobile Account Home Directory

    Hardware
    Server
    Mac Mini Mid-2012, OS X 10.9.5, Server 3.1.2, OpenDirectory ON, HomeDirectory: /Volumes/HomeFolders/Users
    Client
    iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2012, OS X 10.9.5, MobileAccount
    Network
    Server exists on a foreign subnet. Client binds to OD Replica on local network. Authentication works without issue. SSH connections to Server work flawlessly. SCP can be used to move files across the network without issue.
    Situation
    User account automatically creates a mobile profile on any system used. This is set in Workgroup Manager for all users of this User's type.
    The local machine has successfully created a Mobile Account for the user, and User is able to use the machine without complication, except that User complains none of his personal files are present.
    Home Sync reports last sync as being "Incomplete".
    Attempted Corrections
    The log file had indicated that the synchronization process was being cancelled by the next synchronization which started automatically after 20 minutes. To correct this problem, I changed the HomeSync settings to start only on "Manual" requests.
    After this change, I observed that the log file that a file was missing.  I ran SCP to duplicate the home folder on the local machine, replacing the home folder that had been already created.  I no longer find the missing file issue.
    I found an article suggesting that deleting the .FileSync folder from the local and remote home folders would force the system to re-evaluate the status of the sync.  I deleted these folders in order to allow the system to recreate them.  The system continues to have Incomplete home sync processes.
    Help Required
    I am unable to interpret the remaining EXCEPTION lines in the log file.  I appreciate any help deciphering the next steps in fixing the Home Sync process.  I appreciate any tips or advice on what causes Home Sync to fail in these situations, and if any person has information on how to create a local mirror that would be referenced for the HomeSync rather than the main server, that information would be greatly appreciated.

    Some of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock those files and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
    If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
    Enter the following command in the Terminal window (triple-click, copy, and paste):
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
    The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
    Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
    Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
    from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
    Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
    Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
    Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
    Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
    Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • SAP Sourcing 7.0 integration with SAP ERP - issue with SAP PI

    Hi All,
    We are integrating SAP Sourcing 7.0 with SAP ERP 6.0 with SAP PI 7.1 in middle. So the Sourcing will talk to PI and this intern will talk to ERP. Sourcing is on oracle 11g where as PI and ERP are on SQL 2008. All these 3 are on windows 2003 x64.
    We are following the "Configuration Guide Integration of SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing 7.0" provided by SAP.
    We have successfully configured Sourcing and PI systems as pe the document. In Sourcing, by using background jobs we are able to successfully generate files in "export" folder which is part of FTP directory.
    However the issue is with PI, we configured the "configuration scenerio" in Integration builder and point all channels to the FTP folder in Sourcing. But PI is not picking up these files.
    Is there any way to trigger this in PI system. Or do we need to do anything in sourcing itself.
    Regards,
    Siva.

    Hello Siva,
    I am thinking that you may need to deploy FTP adapter in PI to get this process work fine but not sure.
    Let's see what other experts suggest.
    Thanks,
    Siva Kumar

  • "Home Directory Full" message "fix doesn't work for me

    Often (no, not always, it's not consistent), I get the dreaded "Home Directory full" message when I launch mail. Mail then quits when I click OK. Normally, if I launch it again right away, it works.
    I tried to use the standard fix (e.g., removing the "Envelope Index" file to the desktop and launching Mail). This did cause a dialog to pup up informing me that I needed to re-index my mail file. I did that, and the process stopped with the progress indicator about two thirds through. I quit Mail and replaced the Mail folder in Library with the backup I had made before getting started.
    Next, I tried the Hoover method (running the vacuum command from the Terminal. My machine grinded away for some time. I don't know how far it got (there is no progress indicator nor any other feedback of any kind), but since nothing happened for a good half hour (with no more disk activity for a long time), I quit that process, too. Get info revealed that the "Envelope Index" file had not been modified at all by this. Again, just to be on the safe side, I replaced the Mail file again with the backup copy.
    Because the re-indexing in my first attempt had stopped while processing my sent items folder, I suspected that this one was the culprit. I therefore attempted to rebuild it (via the menu command in Mail). Much to my surprise, the process actually finished without an error message. However, my sent items folder now contained some 5,200 emails as opposed to the 7,00 or so it should have.
    Then I saved my Mail preferences file to the desktop, made a backup copy of my Mail backup file, and launched Mail. This made the application believe that it was being launched for the first time. I used the Import command and imported only the contents of the Sent Items mailbox, specifying "Other" as the type. This imported 5,225 items; at that point, the progress indicator was showed a fully completed process, even though the "messages" folder contained 7,900 items. Checking things, I found that there was a discrepancy of 9 items (i.e., the last item that showed as having been imported was not the 5,225th item in the "messages" folder, but rather the 5,216th). I thus moved the first 5,216 items from the messages folder into a different folder and tried to import the rest. Much to my surprise, Mail imported the same 5,216 items all over again. This is when I noticed that it does not import from the "messages" folder but rather from the file called "mbox".
    And this is where things stand. I still get the "Home Directory Full" message about once out of two launches of Mail (but never once Mail is up and running). I desperately need to get this fixed as I fear I'm on the brink of a disaster with my mail file.
    One more clue: I cannot be 100% sure, but it seems to me that the problem began when I added a second dot mac email account to my Mail setup (we have a family pack; I always managed the main account and have more recently added one of the sub-accounts to my configuration). I also noticed that sometimes, this second dot Mac account shows up in my list of mailboxes on the left side of the screen, and sometimes it doesn't. Both these accounts are configured to be checked automatically. In addition to these IMAP accounts, I have a half dozen POP3 accounts and some 40 or 50 local mailboxes configured.
    Does anyone know of a utility I can use to rebuild my entire email file instead of just the index? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can manually fix things? I did do the usual stuff already (using disk utility to check the disk, fixing permissions, and so on) without detecting any problems.
    Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
    Daniel

    You’re welcome.
    When I removed the preference file (com.apple.mail.plist), I also removed
    the folder "Mail" so as to start from scratch completely.
    Well, that’s not what you said in your first post...
    I only use "Other" because I read in one of Apple's notes that one should
    try "Other" in the event that the OS X Mail import failed (which it did).
    This is wrong in the case of Mail 2.x. That has to be an old article. Could you please be more specific as to where exactly did you find it?
    there is a way to actually export the contents of a mailbox as individual
    items that can then be reimported.
    Selected messages can be exported in standard mbox format by doing File > Save As in Mail and choosing Raw Message Source from the Format popup menu. Standard mbox files can be imported into most mail clients. In particular, they can be imported back into Mail doing File > Import Mailboxes and choosing Other as the data format. Using this format, however, would cause some status flags to be lost (e.g. whether a message has been replied to).
    Locally stored mailboxes can be copied to the Desktop or anywhere else by just dragging them there from Mail itself (for server-stored IMAP mailboxes, copy the messages to locally stored “On My Mac” mailboxes in Mail first). These, however, are .mbox folders (not standard mbox files), where messages are stored in individual .emlx files that other mail clients don’t know or care about. They can be imported back into Mail doing File > Import Mailboxes and choosing Mail for Mac OS X as the data format.
    It also explains why the import only brought in 5,200 items instead of the 7,900.
    The question is: where are the others?
    In the Messages folder.
    as I mentioned above, I used disk utility to check the disk and fix permissions, so I did
    not just do the permissions stuff. In my experience, if checking the disk gives you an
    OK result, then there is no point in booting from another disk to perform a repair disk.
    Right. I missed that part of your first post. Sorry.
    if the mbox files are no longer needed, can they be removed?
    Yes. The only items within a mailbox (i.e. within an .mbox or an .imapmbox folder) used by Mail 2.x are Info.plist and the Messages folder. Any other files you may see there are almost certainly Mail 1.x files that Mail 2.x leaves there after the conversion. This is poorly explained in Mac OS X 10.4 Mail: Some mailbox files used by Mac OS X 10.3 are not deleted after importing. The article only talks about mailboxes in ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/, but the same can also be said about mailboxes in “POP-”, “IMAP-”, or “Mac-” account folders.
    As long as you keep a backup copy of the old files for a while (at least, until you’re sure everything was converted properly), they can safely be removed from the Mail folder. OnyX has a Cleaning > Misc > Temporary and obsolete items option for getting rid of all those files.
    Note that if you see strangely-named Messages-T0x... folders, these aren’t old files from previous versions of Mail, but rather an indication that there is something amiss. More specifically, these are temporary folders created by Mail 2.x during an import or a reindexing process (e.g. rebuilding a mailbox) that Mail should have deleted when done. Their presence is a clear indication that something didn’t work as expected.
    <hr>
    Here’s the procedure I usually suggest to set up Mail again from scratch:
    1. If you have a .Mac account and .Mac synchronization of Mail data is enabled either in Mail > Preferences > General or in System Preferences > .Mac, disable it before proceeding.
    2. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    3. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/. Move (not copy) the entire Mail folder out of there, to the Desktop.
    4. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Preferences/. Locate com.apple.mail.plist and move it to the Desktop.
    5. Open Mail and set it up again from scratch. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don’t. Just enter the account information and check that everything works fine.
    6. You’ll have to re-configure all your settings in Mail > Preferences. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
    7. If Mail works fine now and you had any messages stored in local mailboxes, do File > Import Mailboxes, choose Mail for Mac OS X as the data format, and follow the instructions to import your mail from the old Mail folder that’s now on the Desktop. Import the Mailboxes folder first, then each of the POP-username@mailserver account folders, if any.
    8. If .Mac synchronization of Mail data was enabled at the beginning, enable it again, go to System Preferences > .Mac > Advanced, click Reset Sync Data, and choose the appropriate options to reset the Mail data stored on the .Mac server with the data locally stored on the computer, i.e. sync data must flow from the computer to the .Mac server.
    As a result of doing the above, some messages may be duplicated. Andreas Amann’s Mail Scripts has a Remove Duplicates script that you may find useful.
    If all is well and you don’t miss anything, the files on the Desktop can be deleted, although you may want to keep them for a while, just in case.
    Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

  • Mount Home Directory when logged in locally

    I want an application that would ask for the users name and then mount and open their home directory. This will be used when a user is logged on locally and not via OD/AD. Can automator do this or should i stick to apple script. Right now my apple script looks like this.
    to getusername()
    display dialog "Enter your username:" default answer ""
    set username to text returned of result
    return {username}
    end getusername
    to getuserpwd()
    display dialog "Enter your password:" default answer "" with hidden answer
    set userpwd to text returned of result
    return {userpwd}
    end getuserpwd
    set username to getusername()
    set userpass to getuserpwd()
    tell application "Finder"
    if (username > 161000 and username < 169999) then
    open location "afp://" & username & ":" & userpass & "@wwrsdod2.wwrsd.org/HomeDirs/GY2016/" & username
    else
    open location "afp://" & username & ":" & userpass & "@wwrsdod2.wwrsd.org/HomeDirs/GY2015/" & username
    end if
    end tell
    But the finder opens up to the top level of the share and not the user's folder. Anyone help me out.
    Thanks

    Hi Tejas,
    usually when you see the server invalid (by the Yellow triangle on each repositories) means that your MDM server and MDM Clients have different version. Please, checks the version and be sure these are the same, or server version is more recent of the clients one.
    Take a look to this, may be it help:

  • Desktop icons are no longer trusted, custom home directory [solved]

    I have my home directory on a raid, and have noticed that after switching it the desktop icons no longer work properly (icons are missing/default blank as well and labeled <filename>.desktop. Even if I create a new launcher on the desktop it still won't work.
    For example, I click chromium.desktop, and I get the follow message:
    Untrusted application launcher
    The application launcher "chromium.desktop" has not been marked as trusted. If you do not know the source of this file, launching it may be unsafe.
    Marking it as safe does nothing, launching anyway will work. However, the annoyance of no icons and a <filename>.desktop is rather annoying. If I switch back to my original /home/user$ it works fine again. I even tried binding the raid location to /home/user$ and it still has a problem unless I go back to the original home directory path.
    Any thoughts?

    Removing "user" from the fstab line of the raid fixed this.

  • Can't delete folder I created in Home directory

    I created a music folder as an alternate to iTunes in my Home directory.  Recently it started acting funny: wouldn't open in finder, wouldn't allow me to rename it, and now won't let me move or delete it.  I tried unlocking it and checked that I have read and write priveleges.  Any suggestions?

    I'm guessing that Finder keeps .trash open to know wether or not files have been added to it and update the Dock icon, right?No.
    The visible 'Trash' you see in the finder is the union of all your trash folders. Each volume (potentially) contains a /.Trashes/ folder at its root level. Within that there are folders with UIDs as their name, 501 being the first 'normal user' and 0 being root. Your "/.Trashes/502" means you were booted from another volume at some time. However, that trash folder is empty, as you correctly deduced.
    Your "123 bytes .. /Users/name/.Trash" is not empty, however, because of the size. "123" is not a valid size, either (must be a multiple of 34). So you have directory problems on your hard disk—you need to fix that with Disk Repair, from Disk Utility while booted from your Install disk: see Using Disk Utility and fsck to resolve startup issues or perform disk maintenance.
    You will probably see an "Invalid Link Count" message, hopefully this is not so serious that Disk Utility can't repair it, but let us know.

  • IMovie temporary files; importing fails on network home directory

    Hi all,
    I work in a laboratory and manage a bunch of Macs. We have a 2x2.5GHZ G5 with 4G of memory and iMovie 6. The mac has two 300 GB disks that are in a concatenated raid group, so the system has about 450GB of free disk.
    The mac is bound to an Open Directory server and users have network home directories. (The network file system happens to be AFS, which is probably unusual)
    The problem I am having is that whenever I am importing a clip from any external source (in this case I have tried a Sony GL-2 and an external DV deck), after about 13 minutes of importing, imovie stops importing, and iMovie displays the blue screen that you get when a video source is connected but not playing... but, the camera is clearly still playing, if I look in the viewfinder. this failure mode is completely reproducible, and always fails at the exact same place. (but works fine on another mac, see below)
    I have tried saving the iMovie project onto both local disk and into the networked home directory, with the same results in either case.
    I've tried the same setup on an identical mac that is not using networked home directories (local only), which works fine. I suspect that the problem has to do with the way the network file system caches/buffers, but I have no idea where iMovie keeps its housekeeping/temporary files. I was under the impression that it is all kept in the project directory, wherever you happen to create it. Are there some files that get written to the home directory no matter where you save the project?

    iMovie doesn't have temporary files. All files are kept in the project folder (or "package").

  • Create home directory using powershell

    Hi Experts -
    Currently AD 11.1.1.5 is deployed. The home directory is been prepopulated at the time of creation of AD account, and there is a custom task called updatehomedir which gets triggered on success response of create user.
    The problem is, the customer has 40 domain controllers and if I use the OOTB process tasks, it fails to find the user and gives me an invalid structure error, meaning it is not able to find the user. So when the first request goes for creating the user, it picks up a random domain controller and if the home directory parameter is been sent in the creation request it fails. so, the post user creation task works fine.
    The Ad connector creates the home directory with the full permissions to the user on that folder, and also it clears out all the existing permissions. By that, it does not inherits the container permissions. SR said, that it is an ER.
    How do I implement it.
    The approach that looks feasible is
    1. Change the provision attribute mapping for homeDirectory to say customHomeDirectory
    2. Disable the home directory update task
    3. Call a powershell after creation action
    4. In that powershell get the process form value, and run the creation of home directory with appropirate permissions.
    And I cannot test it, as the only environment where i have folders is production...
    -Thanks
    Kunal Jain

    After some decompilation I found this
    DirectorySecurity dirSecurity = new DirectorySecurity();
    PropertyValueCollection pvc = directoryEntry.Properties[ActiveDirectoryConnector.ATT_OBJECT_SID];
    SecurityIdentifier sid = new SecurityIdentifier((byte[])pvc[0], 0);
    dirSecurity.AddAccessRule(new FileSystemAccessRule(sid, FileSystemRights.FullControl, InheritanceFlags.ContainerInherit | InheritanceFlags.ObjectInherit, PropagationFlags.None, AccessControlType.Allow));
    Directory.CreateDirectory(directoryName, dirSecurity);
    Does this strip of the permissions of the file admins on the container. that is inheriting is not done????

  • No temporal directory for packing is provided. SDM home directory will be u

    Hi,
    We are trying to take CI export in a distributed XI landscape.  Our application is up and running as per MMC. But during CI export we are facing problem with below error "No temporal directory for packing is provided. SDM home directory will be used.Info: Pack directory exists".
    Can some one tell us how we can resolve this error.
    Regards
    Suresh

    Hey
    I am not fully sure, but at this step the SDM filesystem will be packed together. It locks like an error occured and left a half packed file.
    Please have a look for something like /usr/sap/SID/<instname>/SDM/program/pack/packedRoot.jar
    <instname> is probably DVEBMGS00
    Look at the timestamps, it may help to move the pack directory away and resume. Otherwise have a look into the callSdmViaSapinst.log in your sapinst dir.
    Best regards, Michael

  • Moving user home directory to another partition on same hard drive

    I would like to find a way to move the user home directory off the OS partition and over to a new partition on the same hard drive. I then would want to create a time machine to back up the new partition containing the user home directory to a 3rd partition called "backup". I have partitioned the hard drive as follows 1. OS, 2. DATA, 3. Backup. I copied the user home directory to the DATA partition but do not have access\permission to the files\folders now on DATA partition. After getting this permission issue resolved, I would like to create a time machine using the DATA partition as the source that needs to be backed up to "backup". How can this be done? I have 20 of these MacBook Pro's that I need to do the same config for. My company will not allow external drive for time machine\data storage. In a real bind. Appreciate any help.

    That's possible, with some moderately low-level hacking of your system, and some people do it, but IMHO it is an extremely bad idea. It increases complexity with no positive benefits, which is never a good thing. Leave the user folder where it is.

    You could call it "trout" instead. 'Cause it's just as much a trout as it is a backup! If you store the backup on the same physical device as the original, it's not a backup. What happens if the drive fails? Both are gone. What happens if the machine is stolen? What happens if there's a fire? A power surge? Someone spills coffee in it? You get the idea.
    See my [Mac Backup Guide|http://www.reedcorner.net/thomas/guides/backups> for some help figuring out a decent backup strategy.
    My company will not allow external drive for time machine\data storage.
    Your company is managed by fools, then. Sorry to be so blunt, but if they are prohibiting you from backing up company data, it's the unvarnished truth. Feel free to tell them I said so.
    Sooner or later, someone will lose data because of something as simple as a hard drive failure... and who do you think will take the bullet for that? The guy who denied you resources for backups, or the guy who set up the machines (ie, you)? You really don't want to be left holding that bag. Go on record saying that backups are needed. If they are denied, document it and then go over his head.
    If you've got 20 company machines, all containing company data, then there needs to be a centralized backup scheme... probably a tape drive and something like Retrospect to coordinate and maintain backups across all machines through the network. Nearly two decades ago I set up a system like that to keep about 50 Macs backed up... it wasn't cheap, but nobody lost data on my watch!

  • Help please..how to specify Oracle Home directory for create AS connection

    I have linux based application server 10g having IP 121.100.115.2 and name as10g.ourdomain.com (/home/oracle/OraHome_2 is AS directory)
    I have developed a simple jsp page using JDeveloper10g. In order to deploy this project, I am trying to create Application Server Connection using wizard.
    step1:
    connection name: as10g
    connection type:oracle application server 10g
    step2:
    user name: ias_admin
    password: mypassord
    step3:
    enterprise manager OC4J host name: 121.100.115.2
    enterprise manager OC4J http port: 1156
    Remote Server's Oracle home directory: /oracle/OraHome_2
    step4
    RMI Server URL: ormi://121.100.115.2:23791
    RMI username: admin
    RMI password: {blank}
    step5
    When I click on test button I get this error:
    Test failed (-2). Invalid Oracle Home directory

    When you create the stand alone, in options you can actually set the temp directory and default directory. You can change it there OR in goto options and check for libraries/directories. You can change it there too.
    Kudos always welcome for helpful posts
