Invalid serial number error when reinstalling Acrobat 9

I am retiring an old PC that had Acrobat 9 Standard installed on it. I retrieved the serial number using JellyBean keyfinder. When I try to install Acrobat 9 Standard on the replacement PC and enter the serial number I get an error that the serial number is invalid. As you would expect, Adobe support will not help. So is there anything I can do?
The first four digits of the serial # are: 1016

My principal has ordered a copy of Adobe Acrobat XI for a school computer. The disc came with a serial number for a Mac installation, which he is hoping to install on his macbook air. I am using Remote Disc to install it.
However, the serial number that comes both on the invoice and on the back of the CD sleeve is only 23 digits long and when entered gives an Invalid Serial Number error. I would love it if somebody from Adobe could contact me and get a replacement serial number that would be valid for the installation.
I'm not going to post the serial number here because of reasons.

Have lightroom 5 hard copy and just got a mac. downloaded the trial version of LR5 from the web, but it will not take my serial number. gives me an invalid serial number error

i have had lightroom 5 for some time now, and have used on my pc. I just got a mac (no disc drive) so I downloaded the trial version of LR5 from the adobe site. Once installed, i tried to key in my serial number.
I get an invalid serial number error.

Old computer died, can't activate Lightroom on new computer. Invalid serial number error.

My old computer fried. Obviously, didn't deactivate Lightroom. Installed Lightroom on new computer but can't activate... getting invalid serial number error. Trying to get thru to Adobe is a joke. Help.

Most likely, you downloaded the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom which will not accept your serial number. You need to uninstall it, reboot, then download the standalone version of Lightroom and install that.

Invalid serial number error message when installing Acrobat 7

I have my original software CD and serial number but understand that I need to use the downloaded program because Adobe no longer supports the activation code required for installing from the disc. I was under the impression that I was to use the original serial number. This is what I used when reinstalling my CS2 Photoshop in the same circumstances.
I downloaded 22001904.exe and ran it but when it gets to the serial number I receive invalid serial number message no matter how I enter the number. I even tried cutting and pasting from my Adobe profile, since I have registered the program w/ Adobe previously along with other Adobe programs.
Can you advise me how to proceed?

no, use the serial number listed on the page where you downloaded acrobat 7, not your acrobat serial number

Pam, Thank you! the problem is not finding the serial number. I have that by looking up my registration. The problem I am having is when running set up for the program you get to the serial number screen. I enter the serial number as emailed and verified by my account, then proceed with the 'next" button. That is when I receive the message, invalid serial number not a valid serial number go back and reenter. I try to reenter and still the same message.
Any other suggestions or do you know how to actually speak to a representative? If not it is time to scrap my new Adobe purchase and go back to Nuance's programs.

I purchased Acrobat 8 a few years ago. Hard disk crashed. Now trying to download/install on new hd. Picked the only option on "Other Downloads" screen. After download it ran. I copy/pasted my SN from "My Products" screen when prompted so no typos are possible:
Serial: [removed by moderator - never share publicly](as shown on My Products screen!)
InstallShield installer says "Invalid serial number". I tried many times, with and without dashes. I don't remember if I bought "Pro" version or not because "My Products" doesn't show that information. I think it's trying to install "Pro" and maybe thats the problem? But there is no option to download a "non-Pro" version! It only shows:

You should to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues. In this case they may at least be able to tell you if it is a version issue. I changed the LCD screen for Compaq 610 laptop but it now displays "invalid serial number" & cant see HDD & CDROm. When I go into bios, only the tag and not serial input is showing. I put back the old screen but its behaving the same. What should I do?

I can see that you have upgrade version of Acrobat pro 11, it is asking for previous qualifying serial number, a case has been assigned regarding this 0212208202.
I am going to mail you the serial number required & which is registered under your email ID. Please enter that serial number & let me know if it worked.

Fresh install of cs 2, invalid serial number error

My version of CS wont register anymore. I was directed to install version CS2 from the website download section. I uninstalled CS from windows 7 and installed CS2 using the supplied installer. I used the supplied serial number only to get a inavlid name, company, or serial number error, and the program shuts down. Online help was of no help other than walking me through another fresh install of the program ending up with the same results.
Is the problem in the registry? and if so how do I clean it without disrupting other programs?

"Invalid Serial Number" alert when registering Time Capsule

Hi,
Today I tried to register a few Apple products through my Express Lane account. I succeeded in registering an iMac, an iPhone 4 and a MacBook, but when I tried to register my Time Capsule I get the following error:
"We're sorry, but that is not a valid serial number. Please try again."
I checked that the serial number printed in the bottom of the Time Capsule was the same as the one that appears in the Airport Utility, and it is.
I copied and pasted it, as well as typing it myself.
I don't really know what else to do, I tried to get support on the product through Express Lane but I'm required to enter the serial number, and so I get the same error.
Is there any solution besides calling Apple Support? I don't live in the US and there is no official Apple support here, so I'd have to make an international call but they're quite expensive.

AppleCare provides support for the AirPort or Time Capsule generally only if they are purchased at the same time with an Apple desktop or laptop computer. Thus you should not have to enter a serial number for these devices when doing so. However, if you bought your Time Capsule independently, you still may be covered. I would check with your local Apple Store for their specific support policy on this.
