Invalid Serial Number for CS2??

in 2006 I purchased a cs2. I used it for a couple of years, got out of the industry and then changed my computer. So I am gradually getting back into things, and went to reinstall my cs2. Invalid Serial number. What!!!??? How does a serial number go from valid to invalid? What do I have to do to get things into working order?

Have the disk, can't remember where I bought it. Loading on a windows 7. Warning at activation was just an error code. Talked to Adobe, was told the serial number was invalid, that they could tell me nothing more.
Why would the serial number go from being good to not good? I thought a serial number was a serial number.

Serial Number for CS2

I had a copy of CS2 which would no longer activate. Asking speaking to Adobe support I was asked to download and install the product from Adobe - CS2 Downloads. I have down this, however the serial number supplied on that website (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-5551) does not work. I application accepts the serial number during the install, however when I go to use the application, I get an error message saying the serial number is incorrect then the application closes.
I need a valid serial number for CS2

I understand that you no longer will activate Acrobat 7.0 Pro...so I went to adobe.com\go\activation and downloaned the file for Acrobat 7.0 pro...which is file 22020134.exe and noted the serial number provided which is <removed by mod - kglad>..however I am getting the Invalid serial number error whether i try to use the serial number you provided or the serial number on the cd.

that is the correct serial number. recheck your downloaded file and recheck the number you used.

Invalid serial number for Acrobat Pro 6.0

I had to reinstall Acrobat Professional 6.0(from a downloaded copy purchased from Adobe.com). The install will not complete. It says "Invalid serial number. Please try again". The only option is to cancel, and then I get the Message: "Adobe Acrobat could not install correctly. Adobe Acrobat was unable to install a necessary component and must quit."
I have verified the number with Adobe Licensing. Adobe Support informs me that they do not support version 6 and the answer is hidden away in the knowledgebase. I have searched the forums and the knowledgebase - to no avail.
Can someone please help or point me to the Doc # (if there is one).
Please do not suggest that I download a pirated version. That is not an option for me.

I am trying to install a new sealed Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended product which I bought of ebay.com for a class I am taking with International Webmasters Association. The product was purchased new in a sealed box but I get the error for an invalid serial number when I try to activate. The PN: 65073432. PHSP CS5 Win RET. Please help me be able to take my course and activate the expensive program I purchased.

You not addressing Adobe here this is a user forum. You need to contact Adobe customer service via chat or Phone to find out if you sealed box was produced by Adobe or not. There are many scams out there.

Hi, I got Photoshop Elements 7.0 a while ago in the Wacom tablet bundle, and I installed it on my PC. But for some reason, my tablet stopped working on my PC and I wanted to install Photoshop on my laptop instead (which is Windows Vista). When I put in the serial number from the box, it says invalid serial number. I had already put in the serial number for my PC, so does that mean I cannot install it anywhere else? Please help.

The complete serial number is 24 digits. The last 4 digits are not displayed on the installed program's start-up screen.

I've recently got a new computer and decided to reinstall my old wacom bamboo drawing tablet that came Photoshop elements 8. Setting up the tablet was no problem but when i try do download the program it just says invalid serial number. I've tried the code on the back of the tablet multiple times but it never worked. Invalid serial number for free CS2 Illustrator

I downloaded the free version of Illustrator CS2, and when I used the serial provided on the download page it said it was invalid; I then proceeded to contact customer service, and was told they no longer support CS2, and to come here; So here I am.

The links Adobe provided for CS2 earlier this year did NOT include a serial number. In fact, the links to download were provided as "activation free" versions for those who already own a license and have a serial number.
If you downloaded CS2 and used some serial number you found on the web, you do not legally have access to the applications. The CS2 download links were only for existing license holders, they were NOT free for everyone.

I am trying to install Photoshop CS2 but it is telling me I don't have a valid serial number. I initially installed it via disc but in order to fully install it and have it after the free trial, I was told I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it via this link:

However, when I try to type in my serial number, it tells me that "This is not a valid serial number. Please go back and re-enter your serial number."
I really hope that this product isn't "too old." In the link above, it states: "Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products." I did legitimately purchase CS2 and do need to maintain my current use of the product so I would appreciate it if I could continue using it.
Just to be clear I am running this program on the same Windows PC as before.
Does anybody have any ideas? They would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I got the Photoshop CS2 Upgrade some years back and it has always worked fine. Whenever I needed to reinstall my operating system, it was a simple matter of deactivating the software and then activating it after reinstalling Windows.
However ths week, after reinstalling my Windows 7, I was informed that the Adobe CS2 activation server is no longer available, so I couldn't activate my CS2 that was installed from my CD. I read all about it on this website, and followed the instructions to download Photoshop CS2 directly from the website.
Now that I am installing the CS2 that I downloaded from here, I am being told that my serial number is "invalid". I have entered it correctly. It is very frustrating, the software on my CD has never given any problems in upgrading my Photoshop CS to CS2, but the one I downloaded is a pain. I would appreciate it if someone could help me resolve this problem.
