Invalid text
Hi
Can we pull invalid character while extracting material text in BW ?
Regards
Hi Akshay,
Below is some more clarity on above response:--
No small letters are permitted for characteristic values (in the InfoObject maintenance). It depends, however, on the language being used as to whether a character is capitalized.
It is guaranteed that the characters ' !"%&''()*+,-./:;<=> 0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ' are capitalized in all languages. Thus these characters are permitted for characteristic values.
Example
The bit combination, that stands for an 'Ö' in German, displays a small 'sch' in the Russian character set. In this way, a German 'Ö' is not capitalized in Russian.
In the German character set, the bit combination shows a "pictured reflected P" for the Russian capitals "SCH". The conversion of small letters into capitals is, therefore, language-dependent.
Procedure
If you have a system, that delivers you permitted characters other than ' !"%&''()*+,-./:;<=>?_0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', you can enter these characters here. The system the checks whether these characters are capitalized in all of the installed languages in your system . If this is the case, then these characters are also accepted in characteristic values.
You should only add additional characters to the permitted characters, if you have already installed all the languages that you wish to use later. All languages that you install subsequently are not checked.
It is possible that the validity of these additional characters is then not guaranteed, and the selectability of the entire master data is, therefore, put at risk.
Hope this clears your doubts ...

"Invalid text value" error when calling a web service from a workflow in SharePoint Online
I'm trying to create a workflow that loops through a list in SharePoint Online using a REST web service call. However, I'm having
some trouble trying to pass the authentication token as described in the following article.
http://www.fabiangwilliams.com/2013/09/03/more-on-sharepoint-2013-r...
Basically, the workflow stops right at the "Call web service" action, and the only error it tells me is the following.
Invalid text value.
A text field contains invalid data. Please check the value and try again
Has anyone had success with web service calls to SharePoint Online?

ORA-19112: error raised during evaluation: ... Invalid text
Hi!
I'm using Oracle 10g version 10.2.0.2.0.
If I an element is defined in a XSD file as:
<xs:element name="cEAN">
<xs:annotation>
<xs:documentation>GTIN</xs:documentation>
</xs:annotation>
<xs:simpleType>
<xs:restriction base="xs:string">
<xs:whiteSpace value="preserve"/>
<xs:pattern value="[0-9]{0}|[0-9]{8}|[0-9]{12,14}"/>
</xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>
</xs:element>And I have a XML with:
<cEAN/>And other with:
<cEAN>7891515928001</cEAN>And I use a select like this:
SELECT vw.*
FROM tb_Carga tmp,
XMLTABLE(XMLNAMESPACES('http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe' AS "nfe"),
'/NFe/nfe:infNFe/nfe:det | /nfe:NFe/nfe:infNFe/nfe:det'
PASSING tmp.XMLArquivo
COLUMNS
cEANTrib VARCHAR2(14) PATH 'nfe:prod/nfe:cEANTrib') vwWhy the first XML returns ORA-19112: error raised during evaluation: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Invalid text '' in element: 'cEAN'?
Is any thing wrong in the XSD?
Thanks,

[0-9]{8} matches 8 digits, or
[0-9]{12,14} matches from 12 up to 14 digits

Two Mail Error Msgs: Message Can't Be Saved/Drafts & Invalid Text Encoding
My Mail was working fine until just recently. Now when I am replying or composing emails, out of the blue, in the middle of typing my message, I will get this error message first: "This message can't be saved to the Drafts mailbox."
After closing that error box which had nothing to do with my typing, I will then get this second error message: "Invalid Text Encoding....converted to the "Japanese (Shift JIS)" text encoding...."
I then close that message and try to finish typing my message. I've checked to see that my text encoding is set where it belongs, and it is never set to Japanese. Does anybody know what is going on here? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you, DianeThe following test might be helpful in deciding what to try next: Create a New User Account, and as that New User try to set up one account -- since you have a POP set to leave messages on the server after download. If not familiar with setting up a New User Account, see:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html
This will be a useful test to now check this behavior in another User Account, and of course is not meant to suggest a permanent switch to the New User Account, but rather a test of the Mail application outside of your normal User Account and its existing setup data.

Hi,
In source file for amount fields there are some invalid text. As the amount fields refers to currency. How to delete the invalid text in amount fields. Example- Amount field is having "qwerr" text and the currency referencing unit is INR. Instead Amount field should contain some amount value like 7000 which refers to referencing unit INR. How to delete the invalid text which is coming in the source file.

Invalid text value. A text field contains invalid data. Check the value and try again
Hello,
I am having a problem with the error mentioned in the title. I see alot of others have experienced the same problem, but I have quite a twist to it.
I see the problem when I try to edit a list item, and then try to save the changes.
Here what I see in the ULS log:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Invalid text value. A text field contains invalid data. Check the value and try again

I have 3 front end servers(fx wfe1, wfe2, wfe3). And here is the twist.
If I access the library directly through wfe1 and wfe2, I get the error. If I access the library via wfe3 if works just fine.
So because of this, I think it is safe to assume that is has nothing to do with the character limit of 255. Nor does it have anything to do with the field type, since it is already set to mulitible lines of text.
So. Any ideas?

Michael

To work around this issue, limit the length of the personal message in the invitation to 256 characters or less.
This is a known issue. Microsoft is working to resolve this issue.
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7bb16e51-e7cc-439e-a8b3-755683ccac1a/max-length-on-custom-field-types
To solve the problem you may have to change the field's parent type to "note". To do that you have to open your fldtypes... file under Templates/xml and change the line to:
"<Field Name="ParentType">Note</Field>" from "<Field Name="ParentType">Text</Field>"
You might also have to add a sql type if your text needs to be longer than 255 characters
<Field Name=”SQLType”>ntext</Field>
and inherit from SPFieldMultiLineText instead of SPFieldText

how to check for invalid text name returning from the function ????
Thanks for yur time.hi
use the select query from STXH to c if the text exists and pass the same value as what u r doing to read_text and if the sy-subrc = 0...then only use the FM ...hope it helps..

Oracle Text, ctxsys.context problem with number column
Hi,
DB 11.2.0.3
Is there any solution to create ctxsys.context index on number column ? Or I have to create other index type ?
When I try do that (create ctxsys.context index), I get
09:01:18 ORA-29855: wystąpił błąd przy wykonywaniu podprogramu ODCIINDEXCREATE (An error has occurred in the performance of the subprogram)
09:01:18 ORA-20000: Oracle Text - błąd: (- error:)

09:01:18 ORA-06512: przy "CTXSYS.DRUE", linia 160
09:01:18 ORA-06512: przy "CTXSYS.TEXTINDEXMETHODS", linia 366Btw, is there possible to search like "*LIKE %123%*" clause any of index (in contains) ?
Edited by: Ndejo on 2012-11-21 00:53The multi_column_datastore says that the text to be indexed should be fetched from the supplied COLUMNS list rather than from the actual column the index is created on.
So in this case we're fetching the contents of "theNumber" column, converting it to text, and indexing it.
You don't necessarily need a dummy column, if "a_title" is a varchar column you could create the index on that instead.
For example:
SQL> create table mytab( a_id number, a_code number, a_title varchar2(80), a_subtitle varchar2(80), a_info clob );
Table created.
SQL> insert into mytab values ( 12, 9812376, 'foo is the title',
2 'foobar is the subtitle', 'the info column will not be indexed' );
1 row created.
SQL> exec ctx_ddl.drop_preference( 'myds' )
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> exec ctx_ddl.create_preference( 'myds', 'MULTI_COLUMN_DATASTORE' )
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> exec ctx_ddl.set_attribute( 'myds', 'COLUMNS', 'a_code, a_title, a_subtitle' )
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> create index myindex on mytab (a_title) indextype is ctxsys.context
2 parameters ('datastore myds');
Index created.
SQL> select a_id from mytab where contains (a_title, '%123%') > 0;
A_ID
12
SQL> select a_id from mytab where contains (a_title, 'foo') > 0;
A_ID
12If you want to be able to search within a particular column, then add "section group CTXSYS.AUTO_SECTION_GROUP" to the parameters clause, and you can then do:
SQL> select a_id from mytab where contains (a_title, 'foobar WITHIN a_subtitle') > 0;
A_ID

this means that you really saved long text into table STXH and STXL, however the key you used does not match with the key of your master data, hence this text is not displayed. e.g. you may have missed leading zeros for material number.
Unfortunatly it is unclear why you constantly mention info record while you want load PO text into material master.
you can get the key easily when you go into a master that has a long text, open the long text with the SAP Editor (there is an icon or just double cllick the long text), in the Editor choose from menu GOTO > Header
Here you see all key fields and how they should be filled.
Now use SE16 and lookup table STXH, and find your record, and find this record, then compare where the difference is. -
"Invalid Personalization Info" - What's that???
Hi. I have already used my Adobe CS2 in two computers. Now I have a third, new computer and I couldn't activate the software, because I've done it 2x already. So I consulted Chat to see if I could obtain permission for additional activations, and they said it's not possible, but they gave me a link to a website where I could download CS2 with a new serial number. I did, but couldn't install it. A message appeared saying, "Missing or Invalid Personalization Information. Missing resource library." I don't even know what this means. Can anyone advise me? Should I try downloading an older version of CS? Thanks.

Moving files in Content and Structure View hangs on Long Running Operation Status window
Hello,
I have the following issue in a site collection: when I go to site content and structure and browse to a document library, and I select multiple documents, click actions --> move and give the target destination, the screen keeps hanging in LongRunningOperationProgress.aspx
with the message "starting" and the running circle. The files do get moved, but the screen does not come back.
In other site collections this works as normal, and when the LongRunningOperationProgress.aspx page is open, it also states (n of N files moved) or something similar. This status is missing in the faulty site collection.
When I open https:\\<site collection url>\Long%20Running%20Operation%20Status\AllItems.aspx I see that an entry is created here with title "(no title)" and Status "NotStarted".
I have included the ULS log, filtered on the thread ID. I am sure there are some clues there (like Invalid text value. A text field contains invalid data. Please check the value and try again.<nativehr>0x81020018</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>),
but I can't figure out where to start solving this problem. The Windows event logs don't give any errors. This issue exists on both web front ends (tested locally). The farm is using 14.0.6106.5002.

PM, itemCount - 14Hi,
From your error message, this occurs when the value you supplied for a text field is larger than 255 characters. To address the problem, store less text in the field
or change the field type from text to note.
