Invalid XML Error

Hello,
I'm trying to add a podcast for more than a week without having any luck.
I've checked my feed with multiple validators, and all of them say that the feed is fine
http://podcasts.edmpeople.ru/moreisenough/?feed=podcast - here's the feed itself
Here's the error:
Please help me out!
Dan

Please start your own thread when you have a question.
The problem with posting links appears to be a bug in the forum software - I had this myself earlier today but quitting Safari and reopening it and logging back in cured it. However if you get this again, just leave the http:// off - that should cause no problems and the URL can be pasted.
As you say your link doesn't work, so it looks as if your podcast has been removed from the Store. The reason you can still see it when subscribing is that subscribers connect directly to the feed and the Store is not involved.
As you haven't posted the feed URL I can't comment on the feed. Podcast can be removed for unacceptable content or breach of copyright, as well as technical problems with the feed, though the first two seem unlikely given the title of your podcast. It's not unknown, though unusual, for a podcast to be removed accidentally.
You could try emailing support at podcasts 'at' apple.com, though I have to say you are quite likely to get a form answer telling you how to submit a podcast.

    Hi I am trying t post a new podcast via iTunes but get an error
    Error parsing feed: invalid XML: Error Line 1: Content is not allowed in prolog
    this is my URL
    http://www.rolandjyoung.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/podcast/dripodepisode1.mp3
    any ideas?

    That's not a feed, it's a web page. Your feed is at
    http://www.blogtalkradio.com/bluespot.rss
    and this can be subscribed to successfully in iTunes.

  • OSB 10.31 - Invalid xml error

    Hello,
    after updating a jar file containing a few java callouts I get the following error on a proxy service (shown in OSB console in Conflicts):
    Invalid xml: Expected element 'stage@http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/pipeline/config' instead of 'stage@http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/stages/config' here in element pipeline@http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/pipeline/config
    I tried exporting the proxy service and reading it's XML config. It seems ok - all stages in the pipeline have the same namespace prefixes and definitions. Also, when I compare the XML before and after JAR file update, it's identical.
    This proxy service does not do any java callouts, just calls another proxy service that does. It has XOP/MTOM Support enabled (by value).

    I have this error too.
    There was no indication as to which part of the message flow was causing the error.
    So I deleted bits until the error went away.
    I tracked it down to a Log stage in the Service Error Handler. No idea what was wrong. I deleted it, Saved/Activated, then re-created it, Saved/Activated.
    There was nothing wrong with the stage (validated and tested ok), and I re-created it to be identical to the stage I deleted.
    But the problem went away....

    Please when you have a query post the URL of your feed, not its contents.  Is this your feed? -
    http://kpssctoxicology.org/Podcast/kptoxcast_test_rss_092711.xml
    You have a number of cases of a string of spaces in titles: you also have one in a URL which will render that link invalid.
    But what is rendering the whole feed unreadable is your category link:
    <category>Science & Medicine</category>
    The presence of an ampersand ('&') by itself indicates the start of a code sequence, and in the absence of one, and its closing character, invalidates everything which follows, and thus the entire feed. You must replace the ampersand with the code
    &amp;
    Additionally, your opening lines should read thus:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0">
    (with the 'purl.org' line if you like).
    If you are going to submit a feed to iTunes you might want to reconsider have 'test' in the filename: apart from the Store having a tendency to reject obvious test podcasts which may not reflect the finished version, you will be stuck with this URL and though you can change the feed URL it's an additional hassle.

  • Invalid xml error for raising events thro EM console

    Hi,
    I am using soa-suite 11g and was trying chapter 17 (EDN) from the book "Getting Started with Oracle SOA Suite 11g R1 – A Hands-On Tutorial".
    I created an event and trying to consume it through a mediator and writing it to a file. I read that there is a provision to raise event through EM console. I tried that option and gave a sample xml payload. But it always errors out saying incorrect xml format.
    I pasting below the xsd definition and the input payload. Can someone pls let me know if raising events thro em console works ?

    what should I change?
    Mark

    This isn't a feed, it's an MP3 file. A podcast is defined by the feed, which is a plain text file in a very specific format called XML: when iTunes sees the feed it can read from it the name of the podcast, the various descriptions, and the details of the media file foe each episode.
    Please have a look at this page, which explains how to construct a podcast and includes a sample basic feed:
    http://www.wilmut.org.uk/pc

  • XML Error Message when uploading

    I've updated my blog to a podcast like the instructions said, my
    Google Reader picks up the mp3 I put in it, but when I put my url into
    iTunes so it will add it as a podcast it gives me this error:
    "Error parsing feed: Invalid XML: Error on line 4: The entity name
    must immediately follow ‘&’ in the entity sentence."
    Have I done anything wrong? Can anyone help, please?

    It's not possible to comment unless you would like to post the URL of your feed: please include the http://

    I defined the link like this so I do  not understand:
    <link>http://www.fccetown.com</link>
    I also tested the feed by Subscribing to the podcast and when I click on the link to the podcast from our web page I get the following but the proper feed is displayed:

    The Item You Requested is not available in the US Store.
    I set the language tag like this so I do not understand:

    Please let me know how to proceed.
    Thanks,

    You give two feed URLs: in neither case is there a file present on the server. You say you changed the feed: did you place the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag in the old feed to redirect iTunes? In any case since there is no file present in either case the Store would be unable to read the feed and your podcast appears to have been removed from the Store as a consequence.
    You will now need to start again from scratch: once you have a working feed you will have to submit it as an entirely new podcast. You will need to change the title slightly or you will be told it has already been submitted.
    Before submitting you should check that your feed works by subscribing to it manually in iTunes, from the File menu in v11 or the Advanced menu in earlier versions.

  • XML Publisher Report ends with Warning -- Invalid Character Error in XML

    Hi,
    I have migrated the standard report 'Invoice Print Selected Invoices' from Reports 6i to XML Publisher. It has to print a Euro(€) in the report. It does not even generate the XML File fully. It gives the below error in the XML File. When i remove the special character, it works fine.
    Please let me know the settings to ensure that XML file also accepts the special characters. How do i get the Euro symbol printed in XML File with out giving Invalid Character Error?

    Hi Tim,
    Thanks for your adhoc response.
    I have gone thru the Document 222663.1 and it says that the Developer 6.0.8.23 is required to handle this problem. We are using almost the updated Developer version i.e., Developer 6.0.8.25. So, this should be handled automatically, but it still errors out. Please suggest.
    Thanks,

    Please throw some light on the issue any help is highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Praveen Reddy

    Hi Praveen,
                       you need a HEX editor. Please download one from this link
    http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm
    Here in the editor search for the HEX value 0X16 and see the corrosponding charcater in payload.
    Try getting rid of the character before it reaches Integrtaion engine possibly with java mapping.

  • XML errors message (Product key not found/Invalid) in SNC5.1

    Hi,
    I am working on SNC project which includes POC scenario.I have completed all the required configuration in R/3 4.6c and SNC5.1 system. The master data (mat, plant,vendor and Info records) are CIFed from R/3 to SNC, BP and MoT created in SNC. All the MD BAdIs are implemented in SNC. I am trying to post a PO from R/3 to SNC, IDOCS are successfully generated, PI has converted the IDOCS into XML messages, but i am getting XML error in SNC system (sxmb_moni) which states-
    1) Product key 000000000123456 (category ID) not found
    2) Item 00001: Product is missing or invalid
    3) Order, item 00001: Product 000000000123456 does not exist
    4) BOL processing failed. XML-message inbound processing has been terminated.
    I am able to post the PO successfully in SNC Web UI which has alpha numeric product number (eg- 1120-110), but products with numerical value leading zeroes (eg- 000000012345) do not get posted. These product IDs give error in SNC sxmb_moni.
    I have set up the output format of product number with 40.
    Appreciate your help.
    Is there any kind of configuration required for leading zeroes in any of the systems (R/3,PI or SNC)
    Appreciate your help.

    Hi Bharath,
    Were you able to over come the error for products in the XML message? I have same issue, can you please briefly point me in right direction?
    I am facing the error message " Product key 0000000000xxxxxxx (category ID) not found". can you please briefly mention how did you resolve?
    In my case, the XML message had product number '000000000070000598' and I tried to implement BAdI to make the product number appear as '70000598' and still it failed.
    Thank you in advance
    Best regards

  • WHAT IS THE FIX TO THIS ERROR:  XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4)

    Hello, looking to see if there's anyone out there who knows how to resolve this error from popping up when I open a previously saved adobe file with data populated inside (tax form).
    The error states:
    XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 16028, column 2 of file.
    So when I go to open this file, THAT ERROR appears.  But then allows me to view the content inside the PDF (tax form) - however it will not allow further editing - this is an issue.
    This began after working and populating certain files, then transferring to a hosting site.  Now when I open any PDF file from the hosting site, the error appears.  Could just be coincidental however throwing that out there in case it's useful.
    What causes this error & what is the fix?
    Cheers!

    Unfortunately No.  This was a tax form downloaded from IRS.gov.  The PDF file has been populated and saved off.  I believe the file has somehow become corrupt.  Curious how to cleanse the file so it opens without issue (that error message).
    Thanks for your response

  • Mapping error: Character reference "&# 00" is an invalid XML character

    Hi All,
      Iam performing the RFC(R/3) -> PI(7.1) -> SOAP (third party software) ; Synchronous scenario.
    The messages are reaching the PI server , but the a mapping errors is occurring due to dummy characters ""& #00" been sent to the XI system.
    Is this due to the R/3 sending the invalid characters or these been generated in PI system. Would you suggest any notes,patches to resolve the issue?

    Hi,
    If you go through this link last page and last para, which says..
    "The only solution is to use a Java mapping before the actual mapping to perform the escaping."

  • Invalid InputSource Error using XML Parser V2

    I'm using the following code to read xml from
    a clob field in an Oracle database.
    try
    // Parse xsl and xml documents
    parser = new DOMParser();
    parser.setPreserveWhitespace(true);
    Statement sqlSel=conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet xmlDet=sqlSel.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM USER_XML WHERE IHC_USER_ID='123456789'");
    if (xmlDet.next())
    CLOB xmlCLOB= ((OracleResultSet)xmlDet).getCLOB(2);
    int index=0;
    Reader clobStream=xmlCLOB.getCharacterStream();
    parser.parse(clobStream);
    Everything seems to work fine, and I can
    create a String from the stream which contains the entire XML document. However, if I try to do the above and parse the Stream, or alternatively parse the String resulting from the stream, I get the following Error:
    nvalid InputSource.
    void oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLError.flushErrors()
    void oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLError.error(int, int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, int, java.lang.Exception, int, boolean)
    void oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLError.error(oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLReader, java.lang.String, int, java.lang.Exception, int, boolean)
    void oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLReader.pushXMLReader(org.xml.sax.InputSource)
    void oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParser.parse(java.lang.String)
    void xmlquerydb.testParse()
    void xmlquerydb.main(java.lang.String[])
    Any ideas what could cause this?

    I'm quite sure the xml documents are valid.
    At present, I'm just using booklist.xml,
    which comes as an example with the XML SQL
    utility. The problem is not really with the
    parsing (If I convert the xml into a url then it parses fine).
    My real problem is pulling the document out
    of a CLOB field. Regardless of what I pass to the parser( a string or a stream), or which xml its parsing, I still get the Invalid inputsource error.
