Inventory DSO using 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF

Hi experts,
We are planning to have a DSO with cumulative key figures using the datasources 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF. DSO will have stock initialization data and material movements data. it should reflect current stock status(as of data load time) including material movements.
Any thought on this item is appreciated.

Hi all,
We have initilaised 2LIS_03_BX on 9th mar 2006. And then we have loaded historical stock data from 1st apr 2004 till 9th mar 2006 ie. around two years into stock cube. But the R/3 system has data since it is started i.e from 2000. I have doubt that would this affect the historical as on stock data for any historical date.
ie. for eg if I check as on stock in BW as on 31st jan 2006, isnt it that I should get exact data in report because I do have all historical stock movements data from 9th mar 2006 to 31 jan 2006 in my stock cube. Or since I have taken historical data in BW only from
1st apr 2004 though my R/3 system has it since 2000, I may get wrong stock data as on 31st jan 06?
Is that would get exact data from 9th mar onwards, but prior to 9th mar stock figures might not be correct?
Its very critical issue since I am facing problem in production system. Please help, I do have lots of hope from all the experts on SDN.

Hi Wrushali
In my opinion if the stock & material movement data in R/3 is present from 2000 then you should have loaded the opening balance as on 2000 instead of 2004. Since stock calculations are cumulative of material movements this might impact the stock values as on a particular date.
However can you please share issue in particular where you are getting wrong values in BW as compared to R/3.

Can someone tell me whether I can run background Job to fill setup table of 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF at the same time?
By the way, whether I can run background job by different sever using different filters(site range A, B, C) to filling setup table of 2LIS_03_BX?

Hi Rajesh,
All three data source have setup table concept.
LO extraction means you should fill the setup tables.
2LIS_03_BX (Stock Initialization for Inventory Management)
2LIS_03_BF (Goods Movements from Inventory Management)
2LIS_03_UM (Revaluations) - captures revaluation data.

Stock using AFS (2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF)

Hi,
I have enhanced 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM extractors with AFS-specific fields, according to note 458676.
But the note do not enhance 2LIS_03_BX with AFS-specific fields.

Can I use 2LIS_03_BX to do opening stock balance to enhanced BF extractor?
(must I enhance BX? )

You must check if the new fields are required for the initial inventory....try toload and check....

Reg Inventory DS - 2LIS_03_BX AND 2LIS_03_BF

Hi,
I have done all the necessary settings that are required for Inventory in BI as well as in R/3.
I am trying to load the data for the first time and when I load the data from 2LIS_03_BX I am getting both, added and transferred records, but when I try to load 2LIS_03_BF DS, the load is successful but I can only see the transferred records, the added records are 0.
Can anyone explain me about this...

Please try checking the extractor checker in R/3 for 2LIS_03_BF.
As the load is not fetching any records to BW, it seems that the set up required for material movements might not have been run.
If RSA3 results in records then, obvisuoly even an info package from BW should do the same.

I have to create an inventory report for which i would have to use 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_bx for last consumption date and valuated stock value respectively. But when i am looking into rsa3 for these Datasource, i am finding nothing there.
Please suggest how would i get data from there.

How to synchronize 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF

Dear Experts,
I have read how-to-guides which title: How ToHandle Inventory Management Scenarios in BW
Now on page 6, which has a red print out saying:
"restrictions for posting date or the material document number you only select those material documents that have created the opening stock (step 1)."
We have some constraints with R3 productions, they are:
1. R3 production is 24/7 so posting block is not allowed
2. MCNB to fill setup table for 2LIS_03_BX runs for 4 hours.
It has run from April, 16th 09:00 AM till April 16th lunch time (Approximately 13:00 PM).
Then I have to run OLI1BW which is to populate 2LIS_03_BF. Here lies the problem:
How can I know which posting date / material number documents are already contained in the current stock (Step 1) ?

Concept of Process 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF

Hi all,
I tried to load the data from R/3 for initialization and material movement with the following steps :
1. I run the infopackage to load the data for initialization stock from R/3. Let say I config the setup table on 24 Nov 2005. When I check to my PSA data, I saw the data on 24 Nov 2005.
2. Then I tried to load material movement data from R/3 and I saw the data with document date before 24 Nov 2005.
3. After that I can see the result in my infocube 0IC_C03.
My questions are :
1. What is initialization for ? because If I'm not wrong the one that impact to the infocube table is only the material movement.
let say if I have material A
 Firstly the stock is 15,
 a. Good receipt on 20 Nov 05 --> 10
 b. Good issued on 21 Nov 05 --> 12
 c. Good receipt on 26 Nov 05 --> 8
Previously, i thought I can have initialization on 24 Nov 05 --> 15 because this is starting balance of the material ....
but I was wrong, I will get the initialization on 24 Nov 05 --> 13 I just wondering why this is not impact to the infocube and what this is for ?
b. If I want to run my material movement on 26 nov to get good receipt (8), should I re-run the setup program to fill config table on R/3 ? so it means that i should delete the config table first right ?
c. does anyboy have the material document related to this question ?

Hi,
Those 2 senteces are not contradictory.
Not compressing the requests for
the opening balance and for the historical movements leads to false results in
reporting.
It means
The data uploading from 2LIS_03_BX
The Initial uploading of 2LIS_03_BF
Compression is optional where no historical data has been
transferred into the BW, though it is recommended for performance reasons.
The data uploaded by delta uploading of 2LIS_03_BF

Hi, i am enhancing 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF
as i added to the cube 0MAT_PLANT.
In order to get the value i update the UPDR (3.x)
with formula: RIGHT( 11, 0Material )
which is correct.
So far is fine.
The UPDR get activated.
And if i load the cube gets fine.
But i face an issue when transporting it to QAS as, despite the Transport going fine and the UPDR being fine, when i load data using BX or BF it does not add records.
I already set up all necessary stuff in RC, MCNB, LBW, OLI1Bw...
I tested it with and without such little enhancement and without enhancement works perfect.
With enhancement described here does not add records.
Did any face a similar situation ?

Though here is the case:
alright.
is all a bit weird.
The scenario is as follows. having a cube copy
from 0IC_C03 fed from 2LIS_03_Bx and 2LIS_03_BF.
I enhanced the cube with 0DISMM and 0MAT_PLANT
on UPDR from 2LIS_03_BX I included
0DISMM is updated with a small rotine
0MAT_PLANt updated with brief formula
I saved + activated.
Was working on DEV.
But once transported to QAS all was fine (activated and so on).
All preliminary steps were done on ECC side (tnx BF11,... LBWG, then mCNB,load...)
But when loading data was transfering records but not adding them
I went through all the custo on R3 side.
Loaded and delted several times from cube and loaded again.
I finally tried to undo the changes in DEV thus leaving the flow to its original status.
Then loading again -in DEV.
All went fine but in DEV even with the changes all was fine.
I decided to move the flow that put it to its original status to QAS.
Loaded BX => went fine
added records to cube.
So basically i removed the changes (a formula plus a little routine)
Transported to QAS.
Then added the changes again.
Transported including changes to QAS.
All is working fine now.
Just lost few days going through the entire pieces Stocks is entailed of.
Hope this weird solution comes to someone´s mind if in a similar scenario as a last resort.

These three datasources are related to inventory. BF is for opening stock, BX is for material movements and UM is valuations. Before loading this data into BW you need to maintain some settings in R/3 side.
According to SAP NOTE:315880.T-code BF11.Activate the flag NDI will reflect in table "TBE11" For the entry "NDI".
2. set the application indicator 'BW' to active using Transaction 'BF11' . which will make tick mark(x) for the field AKTIV for the APPLK ='BW' in table TBE11.
3. Activate the PROCESSKEY under "Maintain Industry Sector"
4. Generated "STOCK INITIALIZATION" for 2LIS_03_BX.
5. Filled setup tables for "INVENTORY CONTROLLING"
6. Scheduled the InfoPackage for 2LIS_03_BX with update mode "GENERATE INITIAL STATUS.
then load BF and UM
There is a PDF available how to load inventory..just search for it in SDN.

Inventory load using 561 movt type and auto confirm TO in MB1C using 561 movt type

Hello All,
I am doing the inventory load using 561 movt type in MB1C. Then the material is in 998 storage type and bin "AUFNAHME". my requirement is that i want to confirm the TO, when i do the MB1C itself for the 561 movt type. Is there a way in the SAP, where i can trigger the TO confirmation in the background automatically, when i use 561 movt type in MB1C.
Right now my thought processing is that as below,
i create the inventory load using 561 movt type in MB1C and use the LT10 and move the stock to a different bin and confirm the TO.
In the above step, i am using LT10 as a extra step for confirming the TO, which i am trying to decreasing my configuring in such as way for the movt type 561, so that it will automatically confirm the TO in the background, while doing the MB1C.
My 2nd question is, when i have 5000 different materials, which are inventory loaded using 561 movt type and MB1C. I am trying to auto confirm the TO in the background, when doing the MB1C for 561 movt type itself.Secondly, if it doesn't work, then i can goto LL01 and pick the unconfirmed TOs and mass confirm the TO's.
On the whole, my questions are is there any std config in SAP to auto confirm the TO for movt type 561 in MB1C. If it is not possible, then i need the best way to mass confirm the TO's in SAP.

Let me explain the process step by step
Assumption/mandatory criteria- The process is applicable only in case you do not have storage unit management active This process is warehouse transfer w/o WM transaction. This method is based on principle of MB1A- 711/712 movement type.
(1) Use OMJJ and create new movement type by coping 561 for ex- "Z61". In field selection (flield selection from 201) double click on WM and make the entry "WM storage bin and storage type as required entry from suppress.
(2) Now use MB1C with above customised movement type. At the end of this transaction,system will take you to the screen to make an entry in storage type and storage bin. Post the entry.
That's it. Your stock would be in warehouse as well as IM stock would be in sync. There is no TR/TO. You can create LSMW to upload the data by this method. If you have SUT defined then you can follow the same process as above. But after that do not forget to update LQUA-LETYP field with respective SUT. However, you can not use this method in case you have SU management active.
My view with this upload process- Please use other data uploading method which are not at all time consuming. In more than 90% of most of the business scenarios, storage unit type is used. Hence you will have to perform additional activity of updating LQUA-LETYP-storage unit type field. If this is the case, then why cant you use other uploading method?.

Inventory Report for actuals and projected?

Hi,
currently i am doing APO-BI Project. I have a requirement to extract the Opening stock from ECC and Projected(Forecasted) Opening stock from APO.
both are 2 different key figures 1 is from ECC and another one is from APO. I need to display in Bex report in
say for example, if we have 53 weeks in a year. if i run the report in week 25, in the bex report it has to display the Opening stock values from ECC up to week 25 and remaining weeks till 53 weeks it has to display Projected Opening stock values in the same line.
plz provide me the logic to achieve this report.

Create Two Cubes one is for APO and another is 0IC_C03 for Inventory. then build a MP on both and create reports.
Use 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM to 0IC_C03 Cube and design the report.
Use :See the steps how to load the data to 0IC_C03.
Treatment of historical full loads with Inventory cube

If it is BI 7 then for BX in in DTP in Extraction Tab you need to select Extacrion mode = NON-Cumulative option.

0CALMONTH      " For Month and restrict with less then or equalto option variable (single value, user input) .
In the same way build for Value and other Keyfigures on 0IC_C03.
And
Drag & drop
0MATERAIL
0PLANT " Give some Input Variable.

Using 2lis_03_BX periodically to monitor stock

Hi,
I'm currently working on a report that periodically compares stock between two systems( syst x. and SAP). I want to use the datasource 2LIS_03_BX to get the actual stock each week. This data is loaded into a infocube and is identified by two extra fields added in the transformation: "stock timestamp" and "source system"(sap/syst. X).
Unfortunately 2LIS_03_BX seems to be ment for initialization only. It seems to only give the latest stock when I "initialize stock" in SBIW on the source(ecc) side. Does anyone know if i can use the datasource the way i want it so i can get the latest stock each time i run the infopackage?
I'm not very experienced with LIS datasources so hopefully there is an easy answer .

Hi,
2LIS_03_BX is for initialization only. You need to use data sources 2LIS_03_BF for your query. This loads all the material movements that occur.
From these material movements you can calculate different values of stock, like consignment, goods issues and receipts etc. You can then calculate the current value of stock. Since there is a date field present you will be able to get the weekly stock values as you desire.
