Inventory of Queries from Infocube based on DSO fields

Hi,
I have a requirement to find out the Inventory of queries used by 15 Info providers build on 2 DSO's.
One of the DSO have more than 7 yr old data and to restrict the same with 3 yr data, we want to do impact analysis on all the queries using the DSO in the respective Info cubes.
Question: Can someone help me out to find the solution to identify the queries especially using the fields populated from the DSO, as there are more than 1 thousand reports existing in the data base from the above 15 Info providers.
Fields-Infoprovider-Queries --> Depending on the DSO

I'm really new to this so pardon my ignorance on the following.
At my company, we have developed a web site using Oracle
Application Server using PL*SQL cartridge, i.e. all the
rendering of forms and processing of data are done using PL*Sql
commands.

database using a value specified by a user in another field.
Example:

When user selects a state, I'd like to be able to dynamically

for the first time when the page loads i want the trailing list to be empty ....
so in the processRequest itself i call invokeMethod and append the whereclause in the voImpl .....if a do a System.out.println("Trailing List VO ::ROW COUNT IS : "+getRowCount()); immediately after executeQuery it returns 0 ...
but some how on the page i get to see some records in the list....
Let me know if anyother info is required ...

Errors while copying queries from Infoset to DSO in BI 7.0. Why

Hi All,
I am trying to copy queries from Infoset to DSO in BI 7.0.
Message displayed after entering the data target names in Source Infocube (Infoset) & Target Infocube (DSO).
: Errors when reading InfoObjects for InfoCube (Infoset).
My Infoset has 2 queries.
I need to copy only one query to the DSO which is part of the infoset. How can we achieve this.

who said the target is different.
The target is different in the sense, source is an Infoset & Target is an DSO.
This DSO is a part of the above Infoset.
RSZC works here but its giving errors as mentioned above.
Regenerate in the sense, u mean i need to create the same again on DSO.
Is there any other way.
If providing some solution, let it be clear.

U have to do RRI (Report-Report Interface)...use tcode RSBBS...
for example.. u have totals report on cube and line items report on DSO..
using RRI, u can drill down from cube report to DSO report... pls check help.sap.com for details

Delete data from infocube which is older than 7 days.

Hi Gurus,
I have a Cube with the time dimension characteristic as 0CALDAY. This cube gets data from a DSO ,which has 0calday as one of its key fields, in Delta mode. I am in a need to delete the data with calday in the previous week. i.e SY-DATUM - 0CALDAY >= 7 in the infocube.
I just tried to create a transformation such that both the data target and the source is the above mentioned DSO and used the technical rule group to set the record mode as "D" for the older records and it works fine with the DSO.
But the Cube still has the data. Just the keyfigure becomes zero. But i want to completely delete the data. I do not want to use "DELETE-FACTS" or the FM "rsdrd_sel_deletion."
Please help me get out of this problem.

Not sure if I understood the problem correctly, but what I understood is you need to keep only last 7 days data in the cube and anything else got loaded earlier should need to be deleted.
If this is correct then can you delete the whole cube content and load only last 7 days data from DSO to cube via DTP filter ( or some start routine).
In this case first time delta ( or full) will never read from change log table but it will read from active table of DSO only

Copy Query Variants from InfoCube to MultiProvider

Hi,
Is it possible to copy query variants from an infocube to a multiprovider?
Basically, we used RSZC to copy the queries from the infocube to the multiprovider, but it doesn't look like the variants were copied over. Is there an ABAP program or some other workaround that can expedite/facilitate in recreating the variants on the multiprovider queries?

It is possible to copy but the only requirement is your target cube structure should match with the source cube structure.

Problems with delete overlapping requests from InfoCube in PC

Hi guys,
Iu2019m using delete overlapping requests from InfoCube in Process Chains, but Iu2019m not being able to adjust it to my specific requirement.
For example:
I execute DTP to load InfoCube XPTO with Fiscal Year 2008 and 2009. After this I have to load again, but only for 2009.
In this specific example I want my process chain to delete the 2009 data from my first load, because it is overlapped, and leave 2008 data.
Is this possible? If yes how?

It will not work that way.
It will look if the selections are same then it wil delete if not then it will not do that activity.
Overlapping settings which you might chosen is based on the delete overlapping for the same selections..
So in this case the selections are different and hence its not possible.

Inventory cube datamart from one BW system to other BW system

Hi experts,
I have a requirement wherin I have to load the data from Inventory Cube 0IC_C03 from my old BW system to new BW system along with the markers & historical data.
So I have generated the Export datasource of 0IC_C03 and mapped with transformations to my new cube.
As per the 'Note 375098 - Data mart extraction from non-cumulative InfoCubes' , I have extracted using infopackage from the source infocube using the 0RECORDTP = 1 but I am not getting the option in DTP as 'Initial Non-Cumulative for Non-Cumulative values'.Since my datasource is not having the check box 'Opening balance'.
If I try running it as normal update then the DTP load is failing with the error as unlimited time characteristic as the 0calday is having the date 31.12.9999 for all marker records.
After the Full load (0RCEORDTP=1) to PSA,I also tried making the datasource to have 'Opening balance' marked using the ROOSOURCE table STCKUPD field and then tried using the option 'Initial Non-Cumulative for Non-Cumulative values' but still it's extracting zero records to Target cube from PSA.
Please guide me how to proceed with this without extracting the BX initialisation from R/3 system.

Inventory Management Queries

As of BI 3.2, does anyone know which infoprovider provides these queries as they are not part of 0IC_C03, Material Stocks/movement?
1.     Q0002 Inventory Days of Supply - Quantity
2.     Q0003 Inventory Days of Supply - Value
3.     Q0004 Finished Goods Inventory Days of Supply - Quantity
4.     Q0005- Finished Goods Inventory Days of Supply - Value
5.     Q0012 Material Consumption

you are right !
0IC_01 is obsolete because feeded by the old LIS datasources....so, you have to use the new cube with the new datasources from LBWE...the problem is that your queries still remain (on business content standard level) dependent from the old cube with no copy-query for the new one !!! And, in addition, you have no possibility to copy the queries from the std tool because the cubes are completely different !!!
If you want, you can use the workarounds mentioned in a previous thread on the BW forums (how can I copy query and bla bla bla..).
That's all is in my knowledge (strange situation, my dear..)

Queries from business content

Hi,
When we install the out of the box business content queries from business content where are we able to see those queries. ( Like when we install infocube and dataflow before and we will be able to see it all in modeling area, same way where can we see the queries).
Also when we install the queries will the objects like structures,variables, restricted key figures and calculated figures will also get installed.?

Well the queries will always be attached to an InfoProvider, so you can easily see a list of queries under each InfoProvider. You can see this in the Open Dialog in Bex, or in the BW system you can do this in RSRT. Just F4 on the query text box and lookup up the queries by InfoArea. You can get a whole list of the queries, but then that would mean going to tables and deciphering the query GUIDS.
Another way is to go to the Metadata Repository and looked at queries within the Local Objects (Activated objects).

Creating Queries from Cubes and ODS

Dear Gurus:
I'd like to learn how to make queries from ODS and CUBES. can any Guru out there prescribe a particular infocube / ods project for me to make report on in both 3.5 and BI 7? I can send daily reports on my progress. I think this is the only way I will learn.. I may even have to seek help to create a simple architecture from Source DataSourc to Target Data Source to transfer Rules to InforSource to ODS to Cube and then fuill it with practice data just so that I can design a query / queries... Can any kind BW Guru offer me his/her assistance please... I may run out of a job if I dont learn soon...

Where can we access BW queries and Infocubes?

Hi All,
We are able to build universe over an Infocube from SAP BW. Right now we are able to access the BW queries from Infoview by creating an olap intelligence connection. Is it the only way to access BW queries or Is it possible to access BW queries from universe designer and build a universe on BWquery?
In short what are the different ways to access a BW query for reporting purpose in BO?

Error reading data from infocube using RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ

I am trying to write a Function module to read data from an Infocube.
This is a remote enabled Function module and is working fine if I make a few minor changes and customize it to read data from a case of a DSO.
However, for cube, code is showing no syntax errors, but on execution is not returning any data also.
I have tried defining E_T_data as E/F/V tables of the cube, but still not getting any output.
Probably this is related to structure of E_T_data only. . . .
Can anyone please guide me on this.

Hello,
E_T_DATA needs to defined as an internal table with all the fields you need as an O/P from the infocube you are trying to fetch data from. Just make sure, you keep the name of the fields same as Name of the infoobjects in the Cube. So just define e_t_data Standard internal table with all fields you want to fetch from Infocube (name of fields same as infoobject name).
Also fill in the g_th_sfc, g_th_sfk internal tables with the list of characteristics and Keyfigues you wanna o/p with chanm/kyfnm field populated with exact name of infoobject and chaalias/kyfalias same as defined in g_t_data (good to keep both same).

Load from Infocube to an ODS.

Hi All,
I needed some information on the logic when you are loading from an Infocube to the ODS.
I have 2 requests with 100,000 records each in an Infocube.All the keys(dimensions-chars) in the infocube match. The keyfigures in both the requests are different.When i execute Full load to load the ODS i see only 100,000 records loaded into
the ODS and the keyfigures have been aggregated.
Verified the update rules for the keyfigure and the "Update Type" is Overwrite.
Please help me understand if this is the way its supposed to be workign when loading from an infocube to an ODS.

As your saying this is how it works"records are aggregated when data is extracted from cube even before DSO update rules comes into act".
So in this case,i will never be able to overwrite the kefy figures even though i have the update type as "Overwrite".
Ex- I have 2 reqs in the cube
             Mat        Plant       KF1
Req1     1000        07           10
Req2     1000        07             5
Loaded this into the ODS .
Then i have another request in the cube
Req3      1000      07        1
Layter when i load this Req3 into the ODS,how would it show up in.If its aggregated int he cube before its loaded intot he cube,then it will never use the overwrite functionality i ahve selected for the update rules.
Please help me understand.

DTP can Not extract data of date field from PSA to Target DSO

Hi everyone.
I enhanced several fields in datasource "2LIS_12_VCITM". that is date field "BLDAT" and another date type fields.
The data of date type fields are extracted very well from datasource to PSA.
But only field "BLDAT" among them are NOT extracted from PSA to target DSO.
Another date type fields is good. but only "BLDAT" field is empty.
I added "BLDAT" later than another date fields.
Is that the reason??
I don't know why.
Let me know the solution. pls~~~~

Try deleting and recreating the DTP and loading again.
This solution refers to note 925941 and should be solved in SPS10.
