Inventory SnapShot Cube and Daily Load Cube
Our requirement from the snapshot cube is to provide queries which show end of month balances similar to as what is shown if I run queries from the Standard daily cube (0IC_C03).
The scenario is as follows:
Query requirements are to show ending balances for the period:
Details are as follows
1) I create a query based on the 0IC_C03 cube, the characteristics are say for example plant and fiscal period and the key figure is Quantity Stock
The results will display the balance at the end of each period so for example
The Key Figure in this cube is non cumulative and is 0TOTALSTCK
Period: 01 Quantity: 0
Period: 02 Quantity: 5
Period: 03 Quantity: 8
Period: 04 Quantity: 2
Period: 05 Quantity: 2
Period: 06 Quantity: 2
Period: 07 Quantity: 2
2) I create the same query off a version of the SnapShot cube as defined in the How to Inventory guide
The results displayed are the movements (changes)
Period 02 Quantity: 5
Period 03 Quantity: 3
Period 04 Quantity: -6
Has anyone got a solution so that I can have the same result set for example 2 than what I get in example 1?
At the moment the approach I plan to take is to datamart 0IC_C03 and work with the cumulative key figures which are used in 0TOTALSTCK. I would like thoughts on this approach and solutions otherwise. Thanks
hi
You have to compare the exception aggregation set for every key figure and the defined time charecterist

MultiProvider Created from #.5 cube and 7.0 Cube
I have one global cube created with update rules and transfer rules and everything, the way we create in BW 3.5 (Delivery)
I have another newly created cube using BI 7.0 (History Delivery data) with Transformation and the DTP.
I have created one Multiprovider combining this 2 cube. The 1st cube contains all the data for Delivery with Material, Plant, 0MAT_PLANT and Delivery quantity and dates and other things as per the requirement. This is a cube to be used going forward.
The 2nd cube contains only Delivery data from legacy system loaded in to this History cube from Flat file. This cube only has 0Material, 0Plant, 0MAT_plant, Delivery Qunatity and the requested date.
Now the Multiprovider has common chars and KFs from these 2 cubes.
When I run the query on this MultoProvider to see results of past 12 months (Requested Date) excluding current month with quantity. I get only the results from the 1st cube. I have created test query on both the cubes individually and I get results on both those queries but when it comes to MP it just gives from the 1st cube which is created in BW 3,5.
Now My questions are
1) Does it make any difference for MP if one of the cube is in 3,5 and other in 7.0 ??
2) If No then what else could be the problem. I have checked the Data both of them look identicle and correct as far as I think unless I have made some basic error??
Please help. Will provide points. Is it required that I have to select the particular InfoProviders under the DataPackage under Characteristics for the QUERY??
If you wish to see the data in the query that is stored in a particulat cube that form part of the multi, then you could.
Was I creating query the wrong way? I want to know the reason, It did work but I want to know the logic though.
No. it is wrong. But, if the query does not read data from more than one cube, but if you create it to run from multi cubes, then query response time may suffer.

Difference between CP-PWR-CUBE and CP-PWR-CUBE-3 for 7941G
Hi
Anybody know if an older CP-PWR-CUBE will fit and work with a 7941G ?
Cisco recommends the CP-PWR-CUBE-3 in the user guide but the specs seem to be exactly the same.
I just want to know whether I can just buy the cheaper CP-PWR-CUBE for my 7941G and I won't have any issues using it.
ThanksHi Alan,
The plug is a little longer because on the newer IP Phone models like the 7941G there is an additional piece of plastic (in a semi circle) around the power plug input on the base of the phone. This can be easily trimmed with a pair of side-cutters and you are good to go :) It depends on how much $$ you will be saving, if you want to go this direction. A 30 second trim job and "Bob's your Uncle"!
Hope this helps! Cheers!

How to add FISCAL YEAR, Period and Day to cube.
hi,
I am using SD EXTRACTORS (2LIS_11_VAITM, 2LIS_11_VAKON, 2LIS_12_VCITM and 2LIS_13_VDITM) and directly updating each corresponding ODS and cube.
All the extractors only have FISCAL VARIANT has the time characteristic. So, all my ODS contains only one time char - fiscal variant and other dates (liek document created date etc. (not a time char)).
Now, I want to use fiscal period, fiscal year and fiscal day in my cube. I have added these time char in my cube.
My question:
1. how to get FISCAL YEAR, FISCAL PERIOD and FISCAL DAY get updated. Do I need to map to document created date in update rules or Do I need to use some functional module.
Pls note I am bringing only FISCAL VARIANT from R/3 into ODS and then to CUBE.
PLS REPLY.thanks sundar..i got your point..but I have one question
All the cubes (sales, sales condition and billing) have the sales order number (VBUK-VBELN) and item number (POSNR-VBUK). But info objects used for these fields in sales cube and sales condition cube are same but for billing it is not same.
Can I combine all cubes (sales order, sales condition, billing) in muliti provider.
1. Sales order cube (from VAITM)
Sales order number (VBUK-VBELN) -- (0DOC_NUMBER)
Sales Item (VBUK-POSNR) -- (0S_ORD_ITEM)
Date : Document created date (VBAK-AUDAT) -- 0DOC_DATE
2. Sales Condition cube (from VAKON)
Sales order number (VBUK-VBELN) -- (0DOC_NUMBER)
Sales Item (VBUK-POSNR) -- (0S_ORD_ITEM)
Date: Document created date (VBAK-AUDAT) -- 0DOC_DATE
Key field: Netprice (VBAP-NETWR) -- 0NET_VALUE
3. Delivery Cube (from VCITM)
Sales order number (VBUK-VBELN) -- (0DELIV_NUMB)
Item (VBUK-POSNR) -- (0DELIV_ITEM)
Date: Delivery Date :LIKP-WADAT_IST -- 0ACT_GI_DTE
4. Billing Cube (from VDITM)
Sales order number (VBUK-VBELN) -- (0BILL_NUM)
Sales Item (VBUK-POSNR) -- (0BILL_ITEM)
Date: Billing Date: (VBRK-FKDAT) -- (0BILL_DATE)
Key field: Net price (VBRP-NETWR) -- 0NETVAL_INV
I want to combine above cubes. If I combine, Will I get correct data??????
Points will be assigned to every useful answer -
Unable to place call on calls on hold - SIP Trunk from CUCM to CUBE and from CUBE to ISTP
Hi Cisco Community,
I have a SIP Trunk setup between the CUCM and CUBE and another SIP Dial Peers from the CUBE to the ITSP. All incoming/outgoing calls, DTMF-Relay works well except one thing which is the ability to hold the call.
On the SIP Trunk from the CUCM to the CUBE, I did not select “MTP” because when I do so, I am forced to select my preferred MTP codec which when selected G.729/G.729a, all my outgoing calls goes out using G.729r8. This codec works well for most of the calls until the ITSP replies back with G.729br8. When this condition occur, my call simply fails (this is very intermittent and only some random numbers).
That said, I have some issues with DTMF Relay when I select MTP on the SIP Trunk. DTMF Relay only works if the call is G.729r8 all the way from the CUCM to the ITSP. If the ITSP replies back with G.729br8, the call might established but will simply be “voice-only”.
The current setup is no MTP is selected and everything is working perfectly. I am happy with that until I place a call on hold, which when I do so, the call immediately terminate. Could you please help me understand why?
I have all media resources configured such as G.729r8 MTP, G.729br8 MTP, G.711u MTP, Transcoding with all codecs, etc. All MRG and MRGL are configured on all devices and SIP Trunks.
Below is an example of a call that is connected with the current setup:

PM-HO-VG-01#Hi Manish,
Again, excellent feedback. Much appreciated.
I will try the commands suggested above and see if I can get DTMF to work correctly while interworking H.323 and SIP.
But my ultimate goal is to have SIP all way from the CUCM to the CUBE and from the CUBE to the ITSP.
If I enable SIP Early Offer with MTP on the CUCM going to the CUBE, all SIP Invite sent from the CUCM to the CUBE uses G.729r8 as the codec and once the call is established using G.729r8 should the ITSP reply with that codec, the call succeed and I am able to see an active MTP session using G.729 when I issue the command # show sccp connections.
One thing that I saw is that my ITSP love so much sending G.729br8 most of the times, so even if using SIP EO with MTP on the SIP Trunk to the CUBE, when I sent my INVITE out from the CUCM to the CUBE using G.729r8, specially on call center numbers such as 0800 numbers, you will see that the call established but the codec being negotiated is G.729br8 which is voice only (missing DTMF).
I will be doing some intensive test again later on this week and will send the logs.
Here is my question to both of you:
Which is the best way of having a proper SIP to SIP setup all the way that will not pose any problem?
Do I have to enable Early Offer on the SIP Profile used by the CUBE SIP Trunk or should I use the normal Standard SIP Profile? Do I need to enable MTP on my CUBE SIP Trunk or not?
From the CUBE point of view, I have a voice class codec that support G.729r8 or G.729br8 and the DTMF Relay method supported by the ITSP is RFC 2833.
I will send more logs for each scenario. I think that we are getting close to the resolution of this problem.
Thanks again for your support fellows. -
Remodeling the cube and adding sales document number
HI guys
I have a requirement of sales order number in the sales over view cube ( 0sd_c03 ) so i am planing to remodel the cube to add sales order number and item
as i can not create a new dimension i have to add these two charecteritics to a old dimension
so whether it will give any perfomance issues later on as the sales document number will increase the
records in that dimesion or can i go ahead to do it or i have to delete the data in cube and change the cube adding a new diemension ( line item dimension)
please suggest..
Regards
AmiyaHi Amiya,
Regarding ur case ..
In my opinion, it should be separated into different dimension ..
Because it will make that old table dimension become have huge data,
it will make slow in fetching the data.
To make it.
1. Edit Info-Cube using t-code RSA1
2. Create new dimension, and insert dummy characteristic, then save, and activate it.
3. In the remodeling, t-code: RSMRT, you can add those 2 characteristics there, you also can initilize the value for those characteristic.
4. Then, in the remodeling, you delete the dummy characteristic.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.
Best regards,
Niel. -
Loading to Inventory Management Snapshot ODS and Cube
I am trying to develop an Inventory data model and have already created and loaded to the Inventory Management (0IC_C03) cube.
I have now created a Snap Shot ODS and Snap Shot cube, is there a way that I can load to these objects without having to do a re-init? ThanksHello Niten,
There is no need to do re-init, you can load the data into non-cumulative and snapshot targets in parallel. Through sam infopackage with which you are loading to 0IC_C03, load to snapshot targets also.

Inventory data load from Inventory Cube to another Copy Cube
Hello Experts,
I am trying to load Inventory data from the Inventory cube(say YCINV) to a copy cube say YCOPY_CINV(copy of Inventory cube), but the results appear inconsistant when I compare the reports on these 2 cubes. I am trying to populate a fiield in copy cube so that I can populate the same data back to the original cube with the new field in it, I am doing this reload back and forth for historical data purpose only.
I have seen lot of posts as how to run the setups for Inventory data, but my case does not need to perform set up runs.
Does the note 1426533 solve the issue of loading from one cube to another ? we are on SAP BI 7.01 with SP 06 ,but the note specifies SP 07 ?
I have tried note 375098 to see if it works, but I do not see the options as mentioned from step "Using DTP (BW 7.x)" in BI to perform this note
Please advise on whether to go with implementing note 1426533 or is there any other way to load inventory data from one cube to other.
Regards,
JBHi Luis,
Thanks for your reply,
I do not see any setting like Intial stock in DTP except "initial non-cumulative for non- cumulative". I did try using the option "initial non-cumulative for non- cumulative" ,but the results still do not match with the inventory cube data.I do not see the check box for marker in the copy cube (under roll up tab). Please let me know if we can really implement this solution ,i.e. copying from inventory cube to copy cube and then re-loading it back to inventory cube for historical data. Currenlty, I am comparing the queries on these 2 cubes, if the data matches then I can go ahead and implement it in Production, other wise it would not be wise to do so .

How to add fields to already loaded cube or dso and how to fill records in
how to add fields to already loaded cube or dso and how to fill it.can any one tell me the critical issues in data loading process..?
This is sensitive task with regards to large volumes of data in infoproviders.
The issue is to reload of data in case of adjusted structures of infoproviders.
Indeed there are some tricks. See following:

EIS 7 and EIS 9 Cube Load Issue-Urgent
Hi,
I am loading a cube which takes 25 mins in thru EIS 7 but it takes 2 hours+ in if the cube is loaded from EIS 9.
Is it hardware confiugration problem.
Please suggest something.
TIAYou have two different installations, one with EIS 7 and one with EIS 9... are these completely identical models, metaoutlines, servers, applications, and databases that have such dramatically different performance? At first guess I would think any thing that is different between the load with EIS7 and the load with EIS9 would be a candidate for explaining the performance difference.

How to empty the cube and re-intialize the data load.
Dear All,
I've the following data flow in my BW7 env.
From Oracle DB, a full load into a BW ODS and then a delta load into BW CUBE.
The full load from Oracle DB to ODS contains weekly data (sort of delta filtering put in place at the source)
Coz of some biz reason, i needed to delete the last few delta request from cube and the corresponding load requests from ODS.
Instead of marking the delta request red and then delete. I deleted the delta request while green thus disturbing my delta load from cube.
Now as i understand, I need to empty the cube, reset the initialization from ODS to cube and then start the delta.
While trying to empy the cube, the system goes into hang mode and data is not deleted (even after 2 hrs)
Even deletion of a single request is not worklng.
I'm not sure whether my above actions of deleting the request (when green) has resulted in some locks at system level.
How do i find this.
The Basis guy says, things are normal with no unnecessary locks.
How do i delete the data.
The ODS has around 7m records.
Regards,
Nagendra.Dear All,
Thanks for the responses, have awarded appropriate points. However, the problem still continues...
I was able to delete the data from the cube. But when i try to re-load the data from ODS to CUBE (intialization or full load), the data is loaded into PSA but after 30% of data into cube (added records), the request turns to red.
The BWCCMS screen for tablespace shows.
PSAPSR3 95% used
PSAPSR3700 92% used
Could someone give some literature on the various table usage.
Where all can i have a look for the above pbm.

Nagendra. -
Loaded data amount into cube and data monitor amount
Hi,
when I load data into the cube the inserted data amount in the administrator section shows 650000 data sets. The monitor of that request shows a lot of data packages. When I sum the data packages, the sum is about 700000 data sets.
Where is the difference coming from?
Thanks!Hi ,
If it is a full load to the cube , all the records are updated in it since in a cube data can be overwritten.
If it is a delta load and u want to see why the difference occurs between the records transferred and added in cube ,
u can go to the manage tab in dso , go to the contents tab ,there click change log button at the below , check the number of entries in that table , the number of entries are the added records in cube since only these records are the new records other records with the same key are already present in the cube. -
Cube for Inventory values, prices and quantity
Hi,
Does anybody knows some standard InfoCube that delivers Inventory values, prices and quantity?
I need something like R/3 transaction CKM3 (Material Prices Analysis CO-ML). This transaction agregates inventory quantity, value ( material price) per material/plant, you could drill-down to material moviments level.
I found a InfoCube named 0IC_C03 (Material Movements - see help link), but i can't figure out how this cube works.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fb/64073c52619459e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Regards,
EduardoHi Eduardo,
Now, I am developing a new query, exactly in CKM3 format, but where you can see more than one material at once.
I am using the infocube 0COPC_C07 (Actual Costing/Material Ledger), where I can see the same information as in CKM3 transaction.
I hope this helps,

ODS, Inventory cube, and WM- Trying to run a report but not working! Help
Hi Gurus,
Hope somebody can help me here....
I have an Inventory Cube and an ODS on Material Plant and another on Warehouse Management. For my reports I need fields from three of them so I created a Multi Provider by using these. But I have only Material and Plant as common in three of them, which is used in defining the Multi Provider. Along with these I have used some more characteristics which are not common. So now when I run a query on this MP, I am getting a display wherein the common characteristics get the values that are correct but for uncommon chars the values for the kfs from other data targets become blank and an additional row comes too.
For example, I have kfs like Blocked stock in the cube and in one of the ODS I have kfs like standard price. So, in the query for the char material group which comes from the ODS there are no values for Blocked stock, I mean I can see a row wherein there is a value for Blocked stock and a blank for Standard Price, in the additional row there is a blank for Blocked stock and a value for Standard price. This is the case with all the other kfs of different info providers.
Is it because they are not common in all the info providers? Is there anyway to solve this? RRI will not work as I need the KFs from both the info providers.
I am stuck now with this problem, so any guidence would be a BIG help.
ThanksIs it because they are not common in all the info providers?
-->Yes
Is there anyway to solve this?
--> Yes and no. If there is a join condition between the ODSs that you can use to get the fields on the same row, you can do an infoset.
--> To achieve something like an outer join, you can create RKF for your base KFs, and restrict them on uncommon chars with 'constant selection'. This may not work in all cases. Search for a blog by Prakash Darzi on 'Constant selection' to understand this.
If logically there doesn't exist a relation (try to visualise how you will derive your output row if you were given these two in a file or spreadsheet - is there a logical link to connect the two sets of data?) you cannot expect the results that you look for. -
Delta and Full Load question for cube and ODS
Hi all,
I need to push full load from Delta ODS.
I have process chain.... in which the steps are like below,
1. R/3 extractor for ODS1 (delta)
2. ODS1 to ODS2 (delta)
3. ODS2 to Cube ---> needs to be full load
Now when i run process chain by further processing automatically ODS2 does init/delta for Cube.
How can i make it possible for full load ??
can any one guide anything in this ?
Thanks,
KSHi,
1. R/3 extractor for ODS1 (delta) : This is OK, normally you can put the Delta InfoPack in Process Chian
2. ODS1 to ODS2 (delta): It automatically flow from ODS1 to ODS2 (you need to select Update Data automaticall in the Targets at the time of ODS creation)
3. ODS2 to Cube ---> needs to be full load :
This you create a Update rules from ODS1 to Cube then Create InfoPackage in between ODS2 and Cube then do full loads. You can delete the data in the CUbe before the load ann dthen do Full load to Cube.
Note: In ODS2 don't select Upadate Data autmaticlly to Data Targets
Thanks
