Inventory Value other Than Functional Currency

How can we keep Inventory Valuation in Non - Functional Currency ?
Scenario
Ledger Currency = KES, Majority of the business for the client is from Exports, as the procurement happens in USD the can we retain the cost of the product in USD ?

Hi Kiran
Thanks for your reply
I am required Little more help on this, please find the bellow example
Example
Ledger/functional Currency is INR
bank currency is USD
Currency conversion rate has been defined for the currency
invoice is created in GBP, payment need to be make in GBP currency from USD account, because USD$ use for the GBD conversion, now my concern is bank is in USD currency that is other than functional currency, hence multi currency check box can not be enabled, since functional currency is INR so all transaction should be convert to INR for accounting and as multiple currency not allowed at bank therefore enable to make payment from same bank.
Thanks

  • Payment in other than functional currency and bank currency

    Hi
    I am working in a implementation project, i am facing one issue related to multiple currency transaction.
    client is maintaining one bank account(USD) in other than functional currency(INR), that account they are using for making a payment in USD or other than USD(third) currency, so in case of payment held in third currency, conversion will happen between USD to third currency, hence there is no functional currency is coming in conversion and at bank account level multiple currency check box can not be enabled due to bank account currency is other than functional currency.
    Could you please help me out on this issue.

  • On and iPad how to Allow User To Enter Custom Text  (Dropdown only) Enables users to enter a value other than the ones in the list.

    On an iPad, how do I :
    Allow User To Enter Custom Text
    (Dropdown only) Enables users to enter a value other than the ones in the list.'?

    Are you using the built-in Currency option under the Format tab? If so,
    what you're describing should not happen.

  • Pass values other than string to applet

    Can you pass values other than strings via the <param> tag to an applet?

    I guess I didn't make my question clear enough. I know that you can pass integers and floats and what not because you can always call parsing functions. What i meant was can you pass java objects like Image objects, or session objects, things that cannot be parsed from strings

  • Report showing GL Accounts with  document posted in currency other than local currency

    We need a report that shows all the GL Accounts that had a document posted in currency other than local currency during the month. The purpose of such a report is that we should not miss any Foreign Currency Gain or Loss at the end of the month.
    Is there such a report already in Standard SAP ? Please let me know. Points guaranteed.

    Hi Ajay sir,
    It's never be a bad idea. But I think Rajeev might be looking for a stright report than work around, which is not available.

  • The document contains no posting lines with value other than zero

    Hi!
    We are having problems posting a invoice in MIRO. When entering the PO number we receive the error message "The document contains no posting lines with value other than zero".
    What could be the problem?
    /Anders

    Hi!
    The GR_BASEDIV is set in the PO. The PO is replicated from SRM where this flag has been set for no reason. Only GR and IV are set and we have implemented a note 1155266 so that Confirmation-Related IV will not be set.
    How come it is set anyway?
    Sincerely
    Anders

  • LC other than national currency

    Hi All,
    I have a customer who's national currency is SGD,but the according to the IRAS(Inland revenue authority of singaopre),
    if 60% of the customer's transactions are other than the local currency(national currency) then the Local currency should be set as that Foreign currency(USD).
    So i have proposed the customer to set LC as SGD and SC as USD.
    Here GST reporting should be done in SGD.
    So when there is a supplier invoice in USD the supplier will send the equivalent SGD for GST purpose.
    But in SAP if we consider LC as USD and the corresponding SGD can be recorded only on the exchange rate table,where as the SGD rate will be varying according to the individual supplier invoice.
    Is there any workaround available to record the SGD equivalent value in order to generate the GST report accordingly even the document currency is same as the local currency(USD is considered as LC)
    Note:Customer is aware that if they maintain LC as USD they will not be able to revaluate USD curreny.
    Kindly share you precious inputs on the above scenario
    Regards,
    Raja

    Hi Gordan,
    Now USD as configured as LC and SGD as SC.
    When there are AP Invoices the exchange rate given by the supplier will vary ie.,AP invoice will be in USD and the exchange rate for SGD will also be provided for GST purpose.
    But for USD the equivalent SGD will be taken from the exchange rate table,which we can not change as per the individual document for corresponding GST tax calculation in SGD.
    Now as per your suggestion if it has to be manually adjusted then the Tax report also need to be customized accordingly if i am correct.

    Raja

  • SUB-Group consol. in different currency i.e. other than group currency

    HI Friends,
    Consolidation Group currency is "USD". In the consolidation hierarchy, i have one sub group where all the companies are in AUD.
    Now the requirement is that australian sub group requires sub consolidation in AUD.
    Currently we are doing sun consolidation and the results are as expected, but they are in group currenmcy "USD".
    Is there any option to get the sub groupconsolidation report in AUD i.e. different than group currency.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Richard

    Hi ,
    Yes it is possible.
    Direct in UCMON and change your group currency, but you must do again full proces consoidation in this group currenct,  or in  your query (query designer) you create a new report and use transaltion currency direct in report.

  • Why is it when I zoom at any value other than 25%, 50% or 100% my photoshop image looks pixelated?

    This is really bugging me and I can't get any work done...but I've had Photoshop for years so I know that if you zoom at any value other that 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% etc then the image loses some of it's quality, but up until today the image looked a little blurry when at a different zoom value, but now it looks really pixelated which makes the image looks really ugly and is making it hard to actually do anything. I have no idea what I did to change it to this, but now I can't change it back and I've tried everything I can think of.

    I've been using Photoshop for a decade and a half and have never, ever seen what you describe.

  • Currency Translation for Key Figures with Value More Than One Currency

    Hi...
    I have query which display key figure GL Account Balance. The currency that used for this key figure is USD and IDR. How we want display value based on selection screen? So if we input currency USD, all value that use currency IDR translated to USD and all value that use currency USD not changed. Otherwise if we input IDR, all value that use currency USD translated to IDR and all value that use currency IDR not changed.
    How we do this in query designer? Thank you.
    I have use currency translation :
    1. (Right Click Key Figures >> Properties >> Currency Conversion Key)
    2. Target Currency Using Variables Entry
    but seems the result is not correct. Can anyone help me ?
    Regards,
    Satria

    Hi all,
    Thanks for your help, but still I have problem. I have create one currency conversion type, ZXXX. This currency conversion type is using exchange rate type = "M",source curr from Data Rec, sel of targ currency with translation,
    and fixed time ref = "Current Date".
    Problem:
    1. With this setting, i create currency translation in BEx, but the result is not same, it's like the exchange rate not using the same setting with data in ECC (I compare data with transaction fs10N). Is my setting for exchange rate not correct?
    2. When I try to display GL Account Balance --> Calculated Key Figure (Total Debet - Total Credit) for period 0, the translation not working. Example if the value is IDR 1234 then the value in USD still USD 1234. Why this happen?
    Thank you

  • How do I get a drop down menu to auto default to option selected a value other than the default written in the javascript?

    I use web based software where I have to select from a drop down menu a particular option. However, I only ever use 1 option. Sometimes as much as 100 times a day. Is there anyway to get Firefox to auto select the same option every time? I don't have access to the source code so I cant change <option selected="selected" value="">.

    A possibility would be a Greasemonkey script to do this automatically or a JavaScript bookmarklet to do it manually.
    You would need to remove the selected="selected" from the currently selected option and set that attribute for the wanted option.
    You can test the bookmarklet here:
    *https://developer.mozilla.org/en/HTML/Element/select
    <pre><nowiki>javascript:(function(){var d=document,s=d.getElementsByTagName('SELECT')[0],o=s.getElementsByTagName('OPTION'),S='selected',v='value1',i;for(i=0;O=o[i];i++){if(O.value==v){O.setAttribute(S,S);O.selected=true}else{O.removeAttribute(S);O.selected=false;}}})();</nowiki></pre>
    If there are more 'selects' then you need to adjust the element number [0] and you also need to adjust the value of the wanted option.

  • Vendor Payment In Currency Other Than Document Currency

    Hi Everyone,
    We have a scenario where a vendor submits an invoice to our company in GBP but wants to be paid in Euros.  The company code/local currency is USD.  Performing a wire transfer through F110, I can't see how we can choose what currency to pay the vendor in.  I'm not sure if this is even possible but I thought I would see if anyone would be able to assist.
    My first thought would be that the vendor should submit a Euro invoice if they want to be paid in EUR but it seems this has been the practice for some time now and they will not submit a EUR invoice.
    Any thoughts?
    Pete

    the vendor provided its bank account number, where you have to transfer the money, right? What is the currency of that bank account? If it is EUR, than the vendor will get his money in EUR. The real problem is the exchange rate here, you transfer some EUR (for the invoice in GBP) and the vendor tells he expected more (because just counted with another exchange rate). What happens than?
    It was mentioned already (by Wendy) that one option is to make manual payment. Another would be to repost the invoice (manually, again) in EUR and let it pay with the payment program. Again, it raises the exchange rate difference problem as above.
    On the other side paying a GBP invoice in GBP is 100% legal in my opinion, if the vendor wants that in EUR is just wishful thinking...

  • Validate lookup field - require value other than first item

    I thought I would share something, and if there is a better way, please share. I have a list with a few Lookups that I wasn't able to require (since requiring them inserts the first option), and I was also not able to validate them (since they are Lookup
    columns). Nevertheless, I needed a way to ensure a value was entered with some amount of thought.
    The solution for me was to insert a Script Editor Web Part into the Default New Form and inserting a javascript snippet. On the list, on the ribbon List tab there is a Form Web Parts drop-down where the Default New Form can be found. Once you are there,
    Adding a Web Part is pretty straight forward. The Script Editor Web Part can be found in Media and Content and you will insert your code after clicking on Edit Snippet.
    The code, for me, needed to check a couple different Lookups for the Default "(None)" value when not set as a required field and block the Save and alert the user. In order to reference the correct Lookup fields I needed to use the IE Developer
    tools (click on the cog, choose "F12 Developer Tools"), on the "DOM Explorer" tab select the left-most icon for the "Select element" tool and click on the Lookup field you need to reference.
    Here is the code that worked for me:
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    function PreSaveAction()
    var e = document.getElementById('_x002e_034_x002d_Company_e721cbe9-05ee-41cd-8227-9fc32c09e8fc_$LookupField');
    var strClient = e.options[e.selectedIndex].text;
    var g = document.getElementById('_x002E_037_x002d_Contacts_ddad3e65-bd8a-4dec-9efc-fb9416a025b1_$LookupField');
    var strContact = g.options[g.selectedIndex].text;
    if(strClient=="(None)")
    alert("***Client Field Required***\nPlease select a Client from the list or enter a New Client.");
    return false;
    if(strContact=="(None)")
    alert("***Contact Field Required***\nPlease select a Contact from the list or enter a New Contact.");
    return false;
    return true;
    </script>
    I assume you can reference as many fields as you might require. Have fun with this, and I hope the solution is easily found for the next SharePoint Dev ;-).

    Invoice booked in foriegn currency i.e. document currency EUR 100 and converted to local currency 1000 (inr)

    But the problem is amount in the doc currency balances will show two difference amounts 1000 INR and 100 EUR.

    Regards,
