Inverted line in digital I/O

In digital I/O configuration , there is choice for whether each line is inverted , what is the meaning? Does it meaning that when I write the binary bit 1 in labview program, the logic state is 0 at digital port.
Thanks

  • How can I use 4 DIO lines as digital input in a E series-SC 2050-ER8 set up ?

I have a DAQ system with an E series DAQ card that is connected to SC-2050 and ER8. I want to use 4 DIO lines (out of 8) for digital input. How can I do this?

    Hello Suresh,
There are a variety of ways to accomplish this. If you are using LabVIEW, you will use the DIO Port Config VI and the DIO Port Read VI. You will use the line direction map input of the DIO Port Config VI to setup which 4 lines you want to be the input lines. The LabVIEW shipping example entitled 'Dig Multi-line Direction (E) VI' shows how to use the lines of the digital port on an E-Series device for input and output.
If you are using NI-DAQ function calls, you can use the Dig_Line_Config and Dig_In_Line calls to configure a digital line for input and then read from that line.
    I hope this helps.

  • Audigy LS line in digital out no so

I have an Audigy LS card. I have my Playstation 2 running into my line in. RCA to 3.5mm connector. I have digital output turned out to make my speakers work. My speakers work fine when playing and audio on my pc. However the audio from the ps2 does not come out of the speakers. If i turn digital output off, the ps2 audio plays fine out of my headphones. Is there any solution to make the ps2 audio come out of my regular speakers ? or would i need to purchase either a card with a digital in, or speakers that are not digital ? Help is much appreciated I'm about to smash things.....

Then, as has been said already, it appears it's a hardware defect. This might be a workaround, if you're up to it, and if that part of the input circuit isn't damaged. That last is a big if, so if it were me, I'd jumper a connection and try it before going to a lot of trouble. There's also an AUX input on the card, although I don't know what the input specs are for that. It's meant to connect to the analog output of a CD-ROM, so it won't work for a mic directly connected, but it might take line-level from an external device.

This problem occurrs with both the line in and mic and yes, the 20db is selected. I can playback from all sources on the computer, although I am unable to hear any sound from the microphone source and line in, as well as being unable to record from it. The speaker test works fine, I only have a 2. setup, and Digital output is disabled. I have tried many different sources of microphones, amplified mics and tv and keyboard outputs into both the line in and microphone in the card and have got nothing from all these outputs on both inputs using various leads! I have also turned off EAX although this had made no difference.

  • PO formed from SO has inverted line items compared to SO line items

    Dear Friends,
We have certain cases in EKKN table where the SO line items dont match with PO line items.
    Let me give an example.
SO  item no   |    item  |                PO item no        |     PO item
    10                 |    A      |                  40                   |    D
    20                 |    B      |                  30                   |    C
    30                 |    C      |                  20                   |    B
    40                 |    D      |                  10                   |    A
But this does not happen always, there are only certain such cases.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Hi Raghuram,
I found a very important SAP Note 103051, details are below.
An IDoc processed by function module IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MM (of category INVOIC01) must not refer to the same purchase order item in several invoice items. This is also valid if for a goods receipt-related invoice verification several delivery notes belong to the same purchase order item.
Depending on the system settings and the situation, various error messages can occur (for example, FD240 'Order item ... selected more than once' or M8050 'Balance not zero: & debits: & credits: &').
In this situation module IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM generates error message M8321 'Document contains same order item more than once'.
For example, this situation occurs if you work with individual batch valuation and the SD billing document executes a batch split for different batches which belong to the same purchase order item and delivery.
    Other terms
    INVOIC, SAPLIEDI,  M8047, M8, 321
    Reason and Prerequisites
This is because of the program design.
    Solution
There is no solution for IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MM.
Module IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM (only as of Release 4.0) for the logistics invoice verification can distinguish different goods receipts by means of the delivery note number. For this purpose, GR-related invoice verification must be active.
Owing to this symptom, billing documents for single batch valuation with batch split cannot be settled in MM-EDI inbound processing. The settlement generates exactly the situation described (several invoice items for the same purchase order item). In this case, the only solution is to deactivate the billing of the batch sub-items in SD Customizing and to calculate the main item only.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can i trigger analog card using RTSI line from digital card

I want to synchronize a PCI-DIO-32HS with a PCI-6713 and IMAQ1409 via RTSI lines and using the 32HS clock. I also need to trigger these devices from the 32HS.

    Greetings,
Yes, both your PCI-DIO-32HS and PCI-6713 boards are able to send and receive clock and trigger signals through the RTSI Bus. Thus, you could trigger and clock your 6713 with your 32HS. I would suggest that you take a look at the examples installed with LabVIEW or NI-DAQ, and you should also search the examples available on the NI's web site -- HERE. I see that there are a number of examples designed to synchronize a 32HS with an E-Series device. These would not require a great deal of modification to substitute your 6713 for the E-Series board.
    Good luck with your application.

  • Rippled lines in digital photos with 100 to 105% grow and 8 frame cross dis

I shoot swim competitions for a local team. I put aproximately 1200 shots onto the timeline with a 2 second duration and 8 frame dissolve. I grow each photo 5% from 100 to 105 with a timeline setting for SD 720 x 486 with a DV NTSC codec. The final output is to SD DVD. When I view in the view window I get this very strong, tightly knit, horizontal rippling across the screen. When I double click on any clip and send it back into preview window and make any adjustments to the keyframes the still will clear up but once I render again I get this look again of enhanced interlacing. If I leave the photos still with no movement everything looks fine but if I attempt to make them grow the shots look horrible.
I import photos into a bin, drag and drop them over 'Overwrite with transition' I take one shot and keyframe it with the 5% grow, copy the clip, then paste the attributes to the rest of the shots on the timeline. Note that the ripple grows with the shot and does not change position. Any help would be appreciated.

One problem solved. You were right on the money. I selected none for field dominance and it worked brilliantly. One more question regarding the timeline sequence. Does clearing this problem up in the timeline, clear the problem for when I export to SD DVD? If not, what would your advice be to have this play properly on SD DVD. What would be your advice for best output settings in Compressor? You made my day! Thank you for your prior advice.

    Hi
In reference to my previous post, you can just leave the inner for-loop, but you have to extract the 4 channels.
Just have a look at the picture.

  • Inverting and outputing a finite pulse train

I am using a PCI-6602 card and labview to generate 4 digital finite pulse trains (2MHz to 6MHz range) to be sent to a amplifiing circuit that will drive transducers.  I have a VI based on a finite pulse train sample VI I found, but the driver requires both the signal, and the inverted version of the signal.  I tired using XOR gates to do this before, but because of rise and fall times, the signals end up overlapping a slight bit, which causes a short between +V and -V supplied to the amplifier.  Is there a easy way to have Labview invert my signals while having no overlap?  I have access to another PCI-6602 if needed.
I tagged a jpeg of what my VI looks like at the bottom.  Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.
     Thanks

You could write out the same signals to the 4 more lines and invert the logic on those lines using a channel property node»digital output»invert lines.

  • Possible to use both optical out AND regular line out at the same time?

I currently have my computer speakers (logitech z560) hooked up to the mac pro via regular stereo jack in the back. I have an extra receiver that I would love to hook in to supply me with some needed sound for movie watching and what-not.. Is there a way to enable both line out - digital and line out at the same time?

You can set DVD Player's "Audio output" to "Digital Out" in its "Disc Setup" preference, while other applications use Line Out.
You could use a splitter on Line Out to feed your current speakers, and analog Line In on your receiver. When you want sound to both systems, set the receiver to Line In. When you want to watch DVDs, set it to Digital In. This will give you surround sound if the DVD has multichannel sound, and the receiver supports more than two channels.
If you really want the same output on the Mac Pro Line Out, and Digital Out, you can use the "Auxiliary Device Output" effect in Audio Hijack Pro
    <http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/>
It will not support more than two-channel audio.

  • How do I get line-in to a new iMac?

    Hi all
So I am new to this forum and have a somewhat convulted and probaly unusual problem. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help.
I have a new iMac and although I quite like it there are a couple of aspects that annoy me:
    1. The sound quality is poor. I accept that a machine of these dimensions will struggle, but it is a little too form over function for my tastes.
    2. Where is the line in input? Nowhere is the quick answer.
So I have had to spend money to sort this out. For the first problem I have purchased a "BassJump 2" USB subwoofer by Twelve South. It was quite cheap (£40) and improves the iMac sound quality dramatically, looks the part and fits perfectly on the shelf underneath it on my desk. Result.
For the second problem things start to get a bit complicated and this is where I need some advice. To give a little background:
I have a multi-room audio system called "Squeezebox" by Logitech. This is a media server and hardware system which is great and I love, but is also now discontiued. Anyway, the media server software is operated by the iMac and it works a treat. What I want the IMac to do is to also opeate as a "Squeezebox" player. This is possible through either one of two third party apps known as "squeezeplay" and "squeezelite". Unfortunately as free 3rd party apps they do not seem to be totally reliable and amongst other issues, the killer is that both produce a distorted sound through the BassJump sub. Removing the sub fixes this and allows the iMac to play fine, but with it's inherent sonic limitations it is not really worth listening to.
So as a workaround it occurred to me that I could attach a "Squeezebox" hardware device (probably a "Squeezebox Receiver" to the line in of the iMac and it should sound fine. This is when I discovered that there is no line in on the current (2013) model iMac. Also as the Squeezebox receiver can output digitally (via spdif or coaxial), then an input device that will allow a digital signal to feed in to the iMac for the iMac's own DAC to convert and output would be ideal.
So my question is what devices are available which would allow a simple stereo line in to the iMac, such that the iMac can then operate as essentially an amplifier and loudspeaker, when it is driven by an attached line (or digital) input? I have googled extensively and found the Griffin imic and the Behringer UCA202 which might achieve this inexpensively, but I would welcome other suggestions.
I would also like to know how these device affect the normal operation of the iMac audio output. Specifically, would it still output other sounds when, for example, the imic was plugged in but not providing any signal to the iMac? Such that if I played something on youtube, would the iMac output the sound or would the imic being attached (via usb) somehow override this? If I had to access system preferences every time I wanted to listen to something on the web or via line/digital in then I would not be interested!
Hope this makes sense as a question.
    thx, Ant8519

    Hi
thx for your reply. Had a look in midi settings and all seems normal. Had another look at the setup and removed and reinstalled the BassJump software and what do you know, it is distorted full stop. Doesn't matter if the sound comes through itunes, youtube or squeezeplayer. I must not have listened properly when I first installed it (or possibly I had had a few sherbets and didn't really listen to it properly!) Anyway I have had a look on TwelveSouth's website and it appears to be an issue where it is not compatible with the iMac...
So back to square one with the iMac sound problem and no closer getting it running as a squeezeplayer!
I might end up looking to another solution entirely...

  • There is a line on the camera! help please!

so i have my iphone4 (white one) just last month (8/31)
well, the camera works fine until few days ago when i take pictures, the screen suddenly has a blue line on it, the line is like a really tiny blue line thats stay vertically, and its 1cm away from the right side. but when i zoom it, that line was gone. but when i take videos or using the interior camera, the screen doesn't have that line on there. so i go to update the software and restore my iphone as a new device. sadly, it doesn't work!!! what should i do now? why does this happen when i didn't even drop my phone at all.. =(

Thank you, this is a beginning step.  I am running Lion on a MacPro, when in FaceTime, I did as you suggested, going to Video on top of the menu bar, when I click on Video, there is no "internal mic" only:
Microphone: Line-In; Digital-Out; Logitech camera. "Mute" is grayed out.
It does appear that my computer microphone is working.  I am using an external camera, so possibly I need to select that in the microphone preference.

i've been trying all the solutions found around the web:
    Reset the PRAM
    make an SMC reset
pull in and out the headphones jack
delete the plist file of the MIDI configuration
    but none of them worked.
is there an handmade hardware solution for this issue?!
    Thank you all!

  • Basic questions about digital representation

    if i have bitstream
where 0's and 1's are represented as below
and after representing them on a graph i want to apply a raised cosine filter and make them look ike this
soo is there anyway i can do that...please help

Eldokch, your screenshot is impossible to read!!
However it looks like your generation of a bitstream differs from mine in that you generate eight lines of digital output (at least thats what is showing on your graph) but I generate a single line. But that should be beside the point, since I have no idea what format your actual real world bitstream takes (and that is what you should be using - mine was just an example of one way it could be done using dummy data).
The point is I have shown you a principle that you should be able to understand, extrapolate, and make your own. Take each digital bit, make it into a stream of analog samples (in this case, 30 samples of 0.0 or 1.0), and then apply your filter to the analog waveform. If you don't understand how to do this then you need to start studying LabVIEW - I'm not going to debug it for you unless I get your salary too!!
