Investment order field is missing in origin tab of asset master (AuC)

Dear Experts,
While creating an asset master (AuC), the Investment Order field is not shown for the input, in the Origin Tab. Whereas for Asset master for the other Asset classes are showing this field for the input.
Please advice how can I get this field in the asset master under AuC asset class.

Hi,
First check the asset Scr.layout rule for asset class by using path -
Spro>Financial Accounting>Asset Accounting>Organizational Structures>Asset Classes-->Define Asset Classes
Select your asset class and check - asset Scr.layout rule .
Then go to -
Spro>Financial Accounting>Asset Accounting>Master Data>Screen Layout-->Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data
Click on - Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data
Select your Screen layout which you got earlier. In Logical Field group select 'Inv. account assignment'. and double click on field group rule.Then make required changes in 'Investment Order' as required - Required, optional, display.
Then check asset master data in AS02.

Adding Investment Order Field in Asset Master

Hi,
I went to the following path:
Spro --> Financial Accounting --> Asset Accounting -->Master data --> Define Screen layout for master data
In all the logical field groups, I cannot find field 08 - Investment Order which I want to set to optional.
Anybody knows how I can add the field?
All the fields 01 - 07 and 09 to 19 are in the list. I wonder why 08 is missing.
Do I need to activate it somehow?

Note: You are no longer NEWBIRD, since from 2006 you are here....:)
To have Investment Order field in Asset master, first you need to activate it thru below path.
IMG->FA->AA-> Integration with GL->Additional Account Assignment Objects->Activate Accoount Assignment Object...
Here you need to activate INVESTMENT ORDER field to enable the inputs in asset master. Without doing this you will not be able to find the field in the screen layout definition for asset master data.

Automatic population of Order field in the Account Assignment tab in VA01

Hi Experts,
May i ask if the Order field in the Account Assignment tab in creating Sales Order ( VA01) will automatically populated when the Alt. Int. Ord field in the Additional Data B tab do have values?
If YES, what are the needed configurations to meet this kind of functionality?

Please through some more light on that.
As per my under standing you want to populate the Value from one field to another field.
If is it so you can do that with the help of good ABAPer who can populate the value from one Location to another Z-Location.

Add custom tab in Asset Master

Dear Experts,
I would like to add a custom tab in asset master (AS01, AS02, AS03).
I have read through the documentation for enhancement AIST0002, but still don't know how to do it.

If you have create a proj in CMOD and activated the screen the new tab should be avaliable if it is not it might need some customizing try like below:
Transaction AOLK>>Select your Asset class click on General Assignment of Layout
Go to transaction AOLA. Copy the tab layout u2018SAPu2019 to create another layout, say, ZSAP.
System will copy all the settings and will inform you about that.
Select your newly created layout and double-click on the folder u2018Tab page titlesu2019.
You want to put your custom fields in the tab page u201CGeneralu201D. So, select this tab page entry and double-click on the folder "Position of Groups".
Here, all the field groups currently residing in the tab-page u201CGeneralu201D are shown. Add an entry for your newly created fields.
Select the group box from the list. An entry will come with u201CUu201D padded with the custom subscreen prepared by you.
Then, save and come out.
Now, go to tcode AOLK and assign tab layout ZSAP. for asset class 1000.
check now.

Blank in depreciation area tab in asset master record

Hi,
While creating the asset master record, by mistake have ticked the deactivation check box in Depreciation Area tab of Asset master through transaction code AS01.
Later when I displayed the asset master record through transaction code AS03, I found that depreciation area tab is full of blank (No information).
Please help how to bring back that screen. (I have tried all screen layouts, but could not success)

AW01N - Comparisons tab on Asset Master

Hi,
In ECC 6.0 version, I could able to see 2-3 years of data under comparisons tab on the asset master, even though the asset is having a life of say 40 years.
Am I missing any configuration step?

Insurance tab in asset master

What does the manual update field on the insurance tab in the asset master used for? When I tried to close the year in asset accounting, if that field is not ticked, it is giving an error. I was planning to run a CATT to tick that field for all the assets and also make it a required field. Let me know if that going to give us any issue in future.

Custom fields to the sales area tab of customer master data

Hi Guys,
i have one requirement, where i need to add Zfields to the Sales tab in sales area data of customer master. Can somebody give me steps how to do it? do we need to do screen programming or just appending KNVV so that functional consultants can do configuration based on account group?

Hi,
.First in IMG - Enterprice Structure - Definition
Create the Organisational Units you want to use
2.Then In Enterprise structure - assignment
Setup the sales areas you want to use in SD
Then go to XD01/ VD01 and create a new customer to whom you want to sell goods & service thr a particular sales area which you have already set up in IMG.
YOu can create a customer master for only those sales areas which you have created in Step 2 above.
Then create a sales document type VOV8 and then assign sales document type to sales area in which you want to use.
IMG-Sales & distributin-sales-sales document-sales doc header
Do all other assignments like item category determination, schedule line category, pricing procedure determination etc
and then you can cretae a sales document using the particular sales area.

Field WBS element is not modifiable in asset master data

Hi Friends
In case of one of my asset classes, i am not able to modify WBS element. It is greyed out.
I checked in screen layout rule assigned for that asset class, the fiield status is modifiable.
Please inform whether i need to check any other thing also.

Currently no WBS is assigned in the asset. I want to assign one WBS .
Currently one internal order & 1 cost center are assigned.
I tried insering qa new time interval also , but the field is grayed out & i cant do any changes in the field WBS element.
I have already checked the field status of this field in screen layout rule , its modifiable.

WBS on Time-Dependent Tab of Asset Master

OK, so my client wants to make this field changeable. Its currently populted with a WBS element, but greyed-out.
In configuration at the screen-layout rule, this field is required and maintenance levels are checked for both main and sub and copy is also checked. There seems to be no box for asset class at the maitenance level, so this should not be controlling if the field is changeable or not.
Can someone please help? also, other weird point, if i create a new asset and save it, I can change it. But I cannot change an old asset. I ownder if that's because it was already posted to???

Hey! I actually already checked that. It wasn't the problem. The problem was actually the account assignment was set so that if an item was already capitalized, we couldn't change it .... so i unchecked that box.

What is Investment order in Asset Master

hi,
my client wants to have investment order in Origin Tab of asset master. is it just an internal order which will be settled against this asset, I noticed some settings in plant maintenance for investment orders, does this have any relevance to this investment order field.

Settled investment orders

Dear All,
How to see the settle Investment orders. We are posted 1 G.L. Transaction through FB50 which the account is linked with Investment order. When ever we settle the order through KO88. The order has been settled but the values are not changing in S_ALR_87013019. But transaction values are impacted in the (FS10N) GL account.
Why it is happening can any body help in this regards.

You are referring to S_ALR_87013019. This is Budget/Actual/Commitment.
when you settle this report will not have any impact as you are settling from one Investment order to AUC.
When you have posted the Values usign FB50 there is a change in Budget/Actual/Commitment. AT this stage there will be a change in values if you run this report.
When you settle this the same investment order is getting credited and teh amounts are transferred to AUC.
When you did the settlement, the credit also happened and hence there is no change in the values of the report.

I am explain the problem :
At the time of asset master creation i can found it only 4 tabs i.e general,time-dependent,Allication,Depreciation areas.
But i want some more tabs like Origin,Insurance,Networth tax. in Asset master records.
As per my knowledge i am maintained the one layout and in that layout cantains the all the tabs in asset accounting. That layout has been assign to respective asset class.
Eventhough i am not gettting the all the tabs in asset master. So i do for the my issue.

Costing Issue-Previous Price changes in Accounting 1 tab in Material Master

Hi SAP Experts,
Our Client has an issue with "previous price" field under the "Accounting 1" tab in Mateial master .The issue is that client never did costing to this material XXXXXXwith plant XXXX. But system is showing value in the "previous price" field. We have checked whether previious cost estimate exists. There was no previous cost estimate and still the system updated "previous price" field.
Can anyone let me know in which cases the system updates "Previous Price" field in Material Master ?

May be this material was created with reference to the same material in other plant or with ref to some other material or may be costing run was deleted from CKR1

How to make Location as mandatory field in Asset Master

Hi All,
My client wants Location field to be mandatory in the Asset master. I ddefined it in
Enterprise Structure>Definition>Logistic-general > Define Location.
Also i made this field mandatory in 'Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data'>Time-dependent data...in configuration.
But when i go to create New Asset and when i select Location which i defined earlier , i am getting this error " Entry -
does not exist in T499S (check entry)
Though i have defined this location in Ent. Struct.

I think note 109602 could be relevant to this problem.
Perhaps you attempt to enter a location without first entering a a
plant. (A location will not be accepted unless you have first
specified the plant.)
