Invisible menus in firefox drop-down menus e right-click menus

When I do a right click at the address bar, the menu doesn't appear, he stay invisible, and I don't see the options. The same occurs with firefox menu (print menu) and in the options (drop-down menus).

Thanks a bunch! This worked for me, unlike the other solution I've seen floating around which is to disable context menus in your advanced Javascript settings.

Automate in Drop Down Menu on right click?

Greetings all.
I am just stepping into automator and hope that it can really help with all of the repetitive actions that I do throughout the week. (aside from making me breakfast). I have been surprised at the amazingly small amount of documentation on automator.
How are people effectively applying automator actions? When I right click on a file or a folder I see near the bottom of the drop-down menu a list item for "automator." Currently it only houses a list item called "create workflow." is it possible to save my actions somewhere so that they show up in the drop-down menu? I want to simply right click on an item and scroll to automator > do my action.
Is this possible?
Any other workflow placement techniques or places where I can point to the effective use of workflow would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks all!

To save the workflow in the contextual menu, save it as a Finder plugin.
File>Save As Plug-In...>Plugin for Finder.
Most of the other places or ways that you can use the workflow are in that same Save As Plug-in window.
ie. a Folder Action- will run the workflow on any files added to the folder the workflow is applied to as they are added.
iCal Alarms- get added to the list of alarm options for iCal events.
Script Menu- will add the workflow to the script menu on the main menu bar

How do I get out of "full screen" view. When I put my crusor at the top of the screen I get SOME menus showing, but nothe the "firefox" drop-down where I selected full screed (I was just trying to zoom out, actually)

I think the question pretty well summed it up. I selected full screen mode from the "firefox" drop-down box at the top left, but once in full screen mode, the drop-down box is not available. How do I get back to the standard view??

Press the F11 key to toggle into and out of full screen mode.
Or, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen and right-click the "+" (new tab) button, or in a blank area of the tab bar, or in a blank area after the address box, and exit full screen mode from the context menu.

How can I restore my bookmarks, and the Firefox drop-down in the top left?

I cannot use Firefox as I always used to.
It has lost all of my Bookmarks Bar, so I cannot go to, for example, my email link.
It goes straight to a full screen display of my (Google) homepage and won't let me see the old Firefox drop-down in the top left corner.

you can easily move the Bookmark icon to left using the Customize feature from the Menu [[Image:New Fx menu]] button on the Right top corner.

My Firefox drop down box located in the upper left hand corner is no longer there. How do I get it back

The only thing that appears above is the URL and the tabs that have been open. I have no other bars across the top of the screen. I especially need the Firefox Box in the left hand corner which includes commands to print, commands to bookmark a page, commands to clear History.

I was trying to figure out how to stop my pinned apps from disappearing after I've shut-down my computer during storms. In the process of trying things I lost the Orange Firefox drop down box in the upper left corner. How do I get it back?

Question 1 - How do I restore the Orange Firefox drop-down box that was originally at the top of the screen.

Question 3 - How do I prevent my pinned apps from disappearing. I have about 10 loaded and it's a pain to have to reload those several days a week. Seems to only happen if I shut down the computer.

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden.
*View > Toolbars > Customize
*Right-click a toolbar).
*Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

On the Firefox drop down menu for Firefox 4, the tab for cut, copy and paste is not highlighted. Is there another way for me to include this on the Firefox start page?

I have Firefox 4. In the Firefox drop down menu, there is an option to cut, copy and paste but it is not highlighted. Please tell me how to highlight this link. Or is there a way to have a cut copy and paste tab?

Those links in the Edit menu are only highlighted if there is something to do:<br />
Paste should be enabled if the clipboard has data placed on it by a previous Copy or Cut and you have set focus on a text area or field that allows to paste that data.
Copy works if some text is selected.

How do I put my tabs back up beside the orange firefox drop down menu?

I have an Acer Mini. In order to optimize screen space, I closed most of the toolbars down, leaving the navigation bar and the tabs on top. They appeared in the blue space beside the orange "firefox" drop down menu. I turned away from the laptop to tend to my baby and when I turned back, my 2 yr old was mashing keys. I don't know what he did, but now I can't get the tabs back up there.

Mobile drop down menu won't disappear once I have clicked one of the links in the drop down to take me to an anchor further down the page. I want the drop down to disappear upon clicking and scroll at the same time.

Basically I have a drop down menu, which i have tried to create numerous times with different widgets available in muse or as freebies on the net.
The menu within the drop down is a manual menu and each button links to an anchor on the page, so that when clicked the page scrolls to that anchor.
My problems is that once I have clicked one of the links to go to the anchor further down the page the drop down remains. For the purpose of User Experience and fluidity across the mobile design i would like the drop down to disappear on click of the anchor link. Is this possible?

Safari won't provide a drop down menu when I click on paper clip in outlook email. Any help on this would be great.

I am using Microsoft Outlook for work email and Safari won't display a drop down menu when I click on the paper clip for attachments. The IT person at work says the browser isn't working or Safari isn't updated and I should try a different browser. My other Comcast email is fine. I can attach anything. Any help would be great.

You could try enabling the Develop menu and try using IE but no guarantees. Not surprising that (Microsoft) Outlook isn't compatible with Apples' Safari.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Prerferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the Safari menu bar top of your screen click Develop > User Agent
Try IE 7, 8, or 9.

I have an IPOD Touch 3rd Gen. The volume while playing music will drop down and then right back up on some songs, all intemittenly. What causes this?

I have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen. There is a problem with the volume dropping down and then right back up, intermittenly on various songs. If you rewind past that spot, it will not do it again. It is not always the same songs. What can I do to correct this issue? I have tried a hard reboot on the iPod and the problem is still there.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings

How do you add artwork in itunes 11.0.4.4?It was easy on previous versions by either drop and drag or right clicking the song and pasting the artwork in the box...Is there an easy solution?

I recentlydownloaded Itunes version 11.0.4.4 and am having difficulty adding artwork to any new folders of music i add to my ipod classic.In prior versions you could either drop and drag or right click on the song,go to "get info" and paste and image into the artwork tab.Can't do either of these now.How do you add artwork in the latest version of Itunes?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem and i came up with a very simple solution that worked for me.
Step 1 Look for the folder where your mp3 is stored. (example My Music Folder)
Step 2 Right Click on the music file and select properties
Step 3 On the General tab UNCHECK read only and click OK or Apply
Step 4 Go to itunes and rightclick the music title
Step 5 Select Get info and paste or drag your Album artwork at the Artwork Tab.

Update to 6.01 has resulted in extreme slow down when I right click for context menus? Tried usual fixes (new profile, cleaned cache).

After updating to latest version for Osx, I noticed that when right clicking for context menus, enormous lag occurs. It has made it almost impossible to be productive. Any ideas?

Today I tested the Linux-64 version (Firefox 33) from the link you suggested. There weren't any install instructions or a README, but based on the file-system layout I guess it just needs to be extracted. I downloaded and extracted to my Downloads directory and ran the executable via command-line as my user (not root).
Firefox popped up right away, but it was not usable for at least 30s. It asked to import from Chrome which I did (no errors). Every click on the top bar (address bar search, buttons to the right of search, bookmarks toolbar) resulted in a dimming un-dimming sequence of @7s, after which nothing (couldn't focus in the address bar, occasionally the bookmark menu would appear, but was not functional). Basically, it's un-usable.
As I mentioned in an earlier reply, I am having similar problems with Komodo which is apparently also Mozilla based.
Are there any logs I could tail and post that might help track this down?
Not sure what to do at this point.

Firefox drop down disconnects when using multi-screen.

I'm not sure if this is a new issue w/ Snow Leopard or if it's an old one. It's a new one for me.
I opened Firefox on my laptop screen which is also connected to the 23" Apple Cinema display. I moved the browser window to the Cinema display and now the drop down boxes are redrawing on the laptop screen instead of the Cinema display. Just thought I'd report this. Can anyone else reproduce this

I never found a solution to this but Firefox has upgraded since this question was posted and I haven't noticed this issue recurring in over 2 years.
