Invisible Sheild Rumor

I remember reading here a while ago that if you put an invisible sheild on your ipod touch and then later decide to take it off the screen becomes unresponsive. Is this true or just a rumor? Thanks.

If you worry about the effect of residue, check out the Power Support Crystal Film Set (or the Power Support Anti-Glare Film Set if you don't like glossy screens). They cover the back and front like Invisible Shield, but Power Support films stick via static cling. So if you need to peel them off, they come off and leave absolutely nothing behind. Yet when on, they stick solid.
I have the Crystal Film Set on my iPod Touch and it's virtually invisible to the sight and the touch. It's amazing. My Touch is protected yet I can't tell it has anything on it unless I look very carefully.

  • Is it save to apply invisible sheild screen protector with the provided liquid? I'm worried about water damage to my 4s

Is it safe to apply a invisible sheild screen protector with the liquid provided? I'm worried it will cause liquid damage to my 4s

Avoid the dock connector and the headphone port. That's where the water sensors are located. Just apply a very small amount of liquid for the InvisiShield or whatever it is.

  • I NEED HELP !! invisible sheild or bestskin ever ??

witch on is better for the ipod 30g (G5) video the invisible shield or the best skin ever ???? itch one is better for the ipod ??

I don't have the bestskinever but I do have the InvisibleShield and it is very good, I don't have to worry about scratches at all. It was easy to install too, because I dunked the shield in water so it was soaking wet. The only problem with it is that I tried running my nail across the shield to see how tough it is, and small scratches do show up. This is only if you intentionally scratch it though with force.

  • How do you put on the Invisible Sheild?

Ok, so pretty much what the title says. I just got mine today, and it didnt come with any instructions, so I thought "Ok, I'll just go look on their website." Didnt find a single thing. So, if you could help me out, that would be hot. Thanks.

Ok, well I did a little bit more digging, and I found a topic on here that answered my questions...

I have used this product with the iPhone:
I recieved a scratch on the sheild as I did on my last plastic screen cover. So as I did prior I removed the invisible shield. The invisible shield removed without a problem. I still have it on the back of my phone so my plastic or rubber cover does not scratch the back. I have to stress IMHO that I am sorry for you, but this is a isolated incident. I feel 100% comfortable with the invisible sheild product on my iPhone. And no I do not work for them.
If you have left the cover on the back then of course you are 100% comfortable with the shield. Did you even read my initial post? If you take the cover off the back, it will take the lettering with it. How you can possibly call this an isolated incident if you have not removed the back cover?????

  • Should I keep the Otterbox Defender screen protector for iPhone 4S

Hello everyone! I have a quick question. I own a Otterbox Defender for my iPhone 4S and was thinking about removing the built in screen protector and replacing it with a Invisible Sheild from Zagg. Do you guys think I should do this? Also do you think a full body Zagg can protect my iPhone without a case? Let me know your thoughts and opinions! Thank you!

I originally used the Otterbox Defender with my 4S, and I immediately removed the built-in screen protector. I didn't like the way it felt when using the touch screen. Instead, I applied a screen protector directly to the screen. (I can't remember the brand since it's been almost two years.) I didn't care about dust protection. I just cared about impact protection.
After a few months, I ditched the Defender because it was too bulky. I've used an Incipio case since then and my phone still looks like new.

  • Best screen protector for ipad 2?

I have an ipad 2 3G with ATT. I really want a screen protector but i dont know which one to get thats bubble free. Right now im leaning towards the zagg invisible sheild(Anyone with experience?) Also i want a front only because i have the speck pixelskin HD wrap.

I tried Zagg (it's all Best Buy sells) on my iPad2.  Actually, I tried two times.  The first time with the anti reflective screen protector.  Hated it.  It made pictures and words look like I was reading through something that slightly distorts the image.  The second one I had installed was the crystal clear Zagg film.  I didn't like it at all.  The tactile feel is well, tacky and the liquid under the screen (required to get it to seat correctly) gives the screen a not really smooth look.  So, I took it off and got my money back.
I currently don't have a screen protector on mine.  I'm not sure I will use one.  Instead, I have a full body case on mine that protects the front and back.  Like someone above said, the only thing that will touch my screen is my finger and I've noticed that I've developed an odd little tick before I touch either my iPhone 4 or my iPad2.  I tend to wipe my finger on either my shirt or pants to eliminate oil.  I wasn't even aware I was doing this until someone pointed it out to me.  It does help keep my screens very clean.....LOL
If I was going to put anything on my iPad2, it would from PowerSupport (www.powersupportusa.com).  I do have their film on my iPhone, which was sold to me at the Apple Store and applied by Apple.  It's static mount and after nearly a year of daily use, it looks as good as the day it was installed.  I also had their film on my iPhone 3G.

  • InvisibleSHIELD wetting agent?

Having read the first Rainy Day Magazine review of the Invisible Shield screen protector, I ordered one (knowing about the click wheel cutout) for my shiny black 60GB. Now, after reading numerous threads about these protectors I discovered another review by the same people of the iPod nano version with cutout click wheel.
While the first review used soapy water to activate the glue, the second referred to some "mystery wetting agent" that came with the protector.
Considering so many of you have happily bought and applied these protectors successfully, did anyone get this bottle of wetting agent with theirs? If so, can you comment on its effectiveness? If not, how easy did you find the soap solution? Was it easy to get dirt/dust on the sticky side when handling it?

I have the invisible Sheild for my ipod 5G 30GB. It does not come with the Mystery Wetting Agent that it talks about in that article. All it comes with is the two covers. Using the soapy water solution is not difficult at all and dirt/other stuff does not get stuck on the sticky side miraculosly. As soon as you peel the cover off the paper, you dip it in the soapy mixture. Then stuff really does not get stuck on it.
Just make sure you wash your hands really good, and it takes a few tries to put it on, but this is a great protector!
    Good Luck

  • Protection for your Ipod full body  under 5 bucks

No joke www.DecalGirl.com Has a Front and back cover with click wheel cut out for the Nano for $3.99 BUY IT, IT'S WAY BETTER THAN THE INVISIBLE SHEILD!!! AND IT'S WAY CHEAP!

YUP no goo AT ALL. This product is great. it keeps nice look of the Ipod I always wanted. Sadly it doesn't keep the glossy shine or smoothness, but it doesn't scratch and it still looks great AND IT'S ONLY 3.99! If you just want to protect the screen you can ,just buy a screen protecter and keep the glossy look.

  • Protective Coating for the Nano?

I was wondering if anyone has tried putting some sort of protectant or sealant on their ipod to prevent the scratching.
I read an article about colorwarepc which paints ipods for a fee. After they paint it, they spray on a clear protective coating.
Has anyone tried this at home using something like an acrylic sealant made for cars, etc? It seems to be a natural extension of Brasso.

I too would like peoples opinions on the best armband. i am looking at getting the invisble sheild as well so I would like to know what case with armband fits over the invisible sheild. • LEATHER CASE AND  CHEAPEST SCREEN PROTECTOR!

I bought an apple ipod video 30gb black and i kept the plastic screen on for a long time and i decided to find a case.
There were no cases available at the time in stores so i started looking for one on the web. No luck there, only pre-orders and such. I went to ebay and looked for one and found a good one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Leather-Case-for-iPod-5G-Video-30GB-60GB-Flip-White-v1_W0QQi temZ5830002084QQcategoryZ27966QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
This is leather case which fits the ipod nicely. And i bought one.
Luckily it is free shipping because i live in Toronto,Canada and i thought the shipping would be alot from Hong Kong.
My case arrived in 6 days and all postage stamps on the outside of the package came out to $27.40, and i only paid $27 for it.
I could finally take off the plastic tape that came with the ipod which was peeling on the sides and i put it into my case, VERY NICE!
Anyways i still did not want it to get scratched so i was looking for a screen protector (eg, invisible sheild) but then i realized that if i had it in a case the whole time then i could just use saran rap and used a little bit of tape on the back.
It works perfectely and only 0.00001 cents per inch.
Cheapest way to protect your screen!
GOOD IDEA FOR ALL YOU CHEAP PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH A CASE!

    @MissyO
If you put you GNx in you purse or have it in a good Case you should be fine I looked on CORNING's web site to see if it had Gorilla Glass it did'nt show that the GNx. did but you can call them an ask to see if it's got it installed or not.
Here's the Link to there Website:
    http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/samsung
But what i use for my droids when i dont have them in there leather cases is a Oakly Glasses Bag there are two things it's good for 1. If your storing it in your purse with it being in the glass bag it will keep stuff off the phone. An the bag won't limit the sound's from your phone it'll stay the same. 2 The bag not only protects it's contents that are inside you can clean you phones screen with the bag as well just flip the bag inside out. Then you can clean the screen when finised reverse the bag.  Give em a try as they don't cost that much. you can get one for one Around $7.00 B33

  • The need for a screen protector?

Hi everyone, I just purchased my first ever iPhone, 3gs 16gb the other day and was wondering on the need or importance for having a screen protector. I have a case on my iphone already, but am a bit worried about the screen, but I know that its glass and coated aswell. I bought a zagg invisible sheild and it was rubbish so I removed it straight away. Any ideas/solutions?

Note that the iPhone 3GS has an oleophobic coating on the screen, and using a screen protector will mean you don't get the benefit. I would say, unless you carry the phone in a pocket with sharp objects then you don't need one. A case is a good idea, because the back of the phone is easily scratched. Going for a pouch would be an even better idea, as you can use it to protect both sides of your phone when in your pocket/bag but take it out when at the office or home, and make the most of the screen (I find the phone feels better to use when not in a case also)
