Invisible shield for 5G 30gb ipod in london or surrey?

Does anyone know a local store where I can buy this invisible shield? I'm currently in Surrey England and will be in another country by next week so I cannot order this item online. I'm giving this ipod as a present and I want it to be protected before giving this away.

Ken,
As far as I am aware you can only buy invisible
shield direct online. Why don't you email them and
see if they have agents anywhere just in case?
thanks for the advise, you're right, maybe I'll just give them an email.

  • I'd like to buy the "invisible shield" for my video iPod but ....

.... since I live in the Netherlands I have to pay an extra shipping & handling fee of almost $70,= !!! Which makes the total price almost 100 bucks for two pieces of plastic!
My question: Does anybody happen to know whether there is a local reseller in the netherlands for this protecting shield?
    Thx,
    Jan.

Thanks all for your help: I think the trick was "deselecting" the butten in front of the UPS shipping... I clicked on it once (it doesn't look like a clickable option) and noticed that "Shipping & handling" was set at $0.
I placed my order for $24. Now I just have to wait and hope I won't run into problems applying this shield to my iPod.
BTW: I just managed to succesfully convert one of my U2 dvd's to the correct iPod format: It looks/sounds great. It brought a big smile on my face, love this piece of art...

  • Invisible Shield for iPod touch: Don't Get!

    Worst product ever.
Do not get. If you are wondering how to protect your iPod the invisible shield is NOT the answer. I have used many of ShieldZone / Zaggs products before without problem but the Invisible shield for the iPod touch is terrible.
For whatever reason the back shield will nor adhere the he curvature of the Touch and the shield for the front of the touch was cut too large and will never fully adhere to the slight bevel around the perimeter of the screen.
    Be advised AVOID THIS PRODUCT!

I just finished the application process for my full body Invisible Shield. Overall, it went very well but there are a couple of bubbles and/or imperfections on the front shield that would compel me to ask the company for a replacement if they do not work themselves out over the next 2-3 days like the instructions say. So I'll reserve judgment for now, but here are my overall impressions:
    1) The material is fantastic. It doesn't show fingerprints when you touch it, it's very transparent, and it feels very nice to the touch. It does stink a little if you put your nose up to it, but I don't plan on sniffy my iPod too often. LOL.
    2) The back shield installation actually went better than the front. The back shield is virtually flawless and you can't even tell it's on. I didn't have any trouble getting the curved parts to adhere at all. However, I was slightly off in my centering and the top edge covered my Hold button just a tiny bit. Rather than completely remove and reapply, I took a small pair of scissors and just cut a tiny slit right where the shield was overlapping my Hold button a bit. Voila! The back shield is awesome and will seemingly protect that chrome for a long time. The shield material actually has a little more friction to the touch, which might help you prevent dropping the iPod.
    3) The front shield (which I applied first) didn't go quite so well (perhaps because it was my first time). When I first put it on, I was off a bit and had to pull it back off. When I reapplied, I got the centering pretty good but now there are several bubbles and a couple of lines going across the material that I can't seem to work out with the included rubber thingamabob. If they don't work themselves out, I might try removing the shield again and trying once more. Otherwise, I'm going to have to ask for a replacement because it is distracting.
More importantly, the front shield doesn't interfere with the "touch screen" at all and you can't really tell that it's on (except for the aforementioned bubbles/lines). I don't know how long it will last before you need a new one, but I would definitely recommend the product but just be very careful the first time you apply it.
I will report back in a day or two and let you guys know if the imperfections works themselves out.

  • Should I get "The Invisible Shield for PowerBook"?

Hi, has anyone bought the Invisible shield for PowerBooks? I wanted to get one to help protect my PowerBook palm rest area and clicker from pitting/scratches (my other PowerBook started to pit after about a year). Is it as invisible on the PowerBook as it is on an iPod? Would you'll recommend "The Invisible Shield" for PowerBooks? Thanks in advance for any help!

I use the Marware Protection Pack from http://www.marware.com
It has an adhesive wrist area protector that looks really slick and is comfortable to use. It also comes with a screen cloth and a keyboard cover to protect the screen from the keys. All for 20.00.

  • INVISIBLE SHIELD for the IPhone

Has anyone tried or installed the INVISIBLE SHIELD on their IPhone?
    http://www.invisibleshield.com/cell-phone/apple/iphone.php
It looks to be great for scratch protection but my concern is does it give you more security in handling the IPhone from slipping from your hands. I have come very close to dropping the IPhone more than once because of its very slick surface. Any input would be very much appreciated.

I have it on my iphone and I must say, it's probably the best purchase I have made for my iphone. Prevention against slipping, I would have to say it prevents this very little. I still had an instance where it slipped out of my hand (fell only on my bed thank god). But it is amazing against scratches. I was in FL 2 months ago and I had my gf put my iphone in her purse bc I did not have pockets on my shorts. Not be as casrful as I am, she put the face directly against her credit card and 2 hrs later, I had her credit card #s imprinted on my iphone. I was very upset but after about another hour, the imprints were completely gone and not one single scratch was left on the phone.

  • Invisible Shield for white iphone

I have heard that the invisible shield fluid that comes with the shield turns the white back on the iphone yellow. Does it? I could not find any pictures of a white iphone with the shield on.

    Dr Sly wrote:
    Invisible shield liquid: windex
iPhone material: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (some sort of plastic alloy)
together: may discolor, wear, faint over time
iPhone by itself: may discolor, wear, faint over time anyways (that's what acrylonitrile butadiene styrene does anyhoo)
the white iPhone is lose-lose situation over time (much like the white Macbook), unless put in a sleeve or case as often as possible (and cleaned from time to time)
I have made two attempts to put this shield on my while iPhone (the back side) with no success. I also have no discoloration from the attempted applications though. Perhaps because I cleaned it off right away...

  • Where do you get the invisible shield for 5G ipod?

where do you get it? do they even make it for the black 5G 60GB ipod? also any idea if there's gonna be the agent 18 clickshield for said ipod? thanks

I've tried several different screen protectors for ipod, psp, and cell phone, and these are absolutely the best in my opinion. they offer great protection with NO degradation to the video/graphics when viewed with it on...

  • For all the folks who pre-order the ZAGG invisible shield for the iPhone 3G

My shield did not fit properly, so I emailed ZAGG. Here is what I got back:

After having more time with the Apple iPhone 3G we have improved our design by making a slight change. This is really bad customer service. Because they had to guess on the iPhone 3G measurements, I need to pay out of pocket to get a replacement (shipping cost)??

EVERYONE... I pre-ordered also and got the original one on but it didn't look great so I called and got the new redesigned one sent to me.
IT IS TERRIBLE. The redesigned one is worse than the first one. The front screen wraps around the edges of the phone. If you haven't looked there is a seam that runs around the front glass piece. This causes major air bubbles and making it impossible to put the redesigned on on.
Also the back has its problems too.
    Best solutions.
    1. return it all and get your money back.
    2. get another one reshipped but make sure it is the original.
I got the original one shipped to me again and got it on correctly but after a few days it keeps fraying up. Whats next......

  • The Invisible Shield for Zen Vison

    http://www.shieldzone.com/form/index.html?preadd=action&key=CREZENVISM
Just wondering if anyone has this on there Vison: M at all? I did order it for my Zen and my PPC-6700, but would be nice to hear some user reviews on it. Here is a test on it with a video iPod
    http://www.untenohana.com/archi'ves/...d_scratch_test/

I have it. It definitely is strong and will prevent scratches.
Despite what the directions say, you should get the application right the first time. Once you start pulling it up it really starts looking bad. The overall look is like you vacuum seals your zen in plastic.

  • Should I get the Invisible Shield for the iphone 4?

I need to know for sure. I want my $300 investment pristine.

I have IS on my iPhone 4.
One of the major drawbacks is that they send you very little of the liquid. For the large front and back pieces, spray directly onto them, but for the smaller pieces, I suggest spraying the liquid onto another clean surface (I used the leftover part from the big pieces) and then slide the smaller piece against the clean surface that has been sprayed to pickup the liquid. As you apply the smaller pieces to the phone, you can just slide those pieces against the clean surface you sprayed to pick up the liquid. If you need more liquid, spray the surface again. It's just a waste to spray the smaller pieces directly. Remember, don't spray your phone directly.
It's hard to get the smaller pieces to line up "perfectly" because they slip and slide so much and because they do not cover the whole phone. For example, the parts that cover the steel rim do not cover the entire width of the rim, so you have to line up the strip in the "middle" of the rim so it looks nice, but it's hard to keep the IS strips straight.
The front and back pieces will not cover 100% of the glass, although they will cover 99.9% of it. The piece for the home button is not as large as the button itself, so it won't cover the whole button.
It will also have that orange peel effect, but only if you look at the phone at an angle. You should not notice the orange peel effect during normal usage.
The IS strips do not prevent the antenna problems that some people see (I can recreate the issue with the IS strips on).
Most importantly, when applying the IS do it in a room with minimal dust. I significantly sized piece of dust made it on to the adhesive side of my front IS and is visible while using the phone. I'm going to have to try to reapply the screen, but of course I used up all the liquid so I'll have to figure out what to do about that.
Anyone know what exactly that liquid they use is?

  • Invisible Shield for MBP?

  • Ipod in the car with invisible shield

I have Blitzsafe ipod adapter installed in the car and hook up my ipod with the bottom connector which plays through the car stereo and charges at the same time.
I had the invisible shield on but the ipod got very warm and froze. I took the shield off and so far the ipod is working fine. It still gets warm but did not shut down or freeze. Anyone have experience like this ?
Now I've the ipod in the Agent18 case and the ipod is fine so far in the car.

I use the Blitzsafe to charge my iPod and it never seems to overheat.
(As an aside: I don't use it for the audio because I found it to boost the bass unreasonably. Only one of my two Blitz units does this, so I imagine it's just a bad unit.)

  • Invisible Shield + Colour Screen- Does Anyone Have a Blurred Picture

I was looking to buy an invisible shield for my ipod video and noticed that in my local online store there was a note that said:
"due to a problem with the included screen protector blurring the the screen on colour iPod's and iPod Photo's we do not recommend purchasing the Podshield for use with any iPod's with a colour screen"
Does anyone have this problem or a way to get passed it? The Shield sounds great so I would really like to know any way I can get passed this.
    Thanx
    Ipod Video (30gb)

I bought an invisible shield by direct mail from the manufacturer in the USA and it arrived within 4-5 days. $25 sounds a lot for 2 bits of plastic but from what I've heard about how easy it is for Ipod to scratch up (I wouldn't know myself!), it is worth every penny. As long as you take your time to install it and follow the instructions properly, it provides superb protection and you can bearly notice it once its on. It is a FANTASTIC product and I would recommend it to anyone. In fact, it's the finish that Apple should have had on the Ipod from the start !

  • ITunes 7.3.1 *SLOW* sync on 30GB iPod

    Hi everyone,
Since upgrading to iTunes 7.3.1 my sync time for my 30GB iPod has gone from "quick" to "15 minutes or more." My library is rather small compared to others on this forum (only 25GB). I reloaded my iPod (OS and Data) and it is still slow. I can only assume something is weird with 7.3.1 or my install. Is anyone else experiencing this slow down?

So, I am definately a true blonde. I didn't notice the iPod screen was able to scroll DOWN...thus making it obvious you can select to "manage manually" and thus play iPod songs in your iTunes...yeah, took me calling the iPod support store and waiting about 20 minutes to get that one... oops. =)
