Invite to join the ADF Enterprise Methdology Group

You can easily tell when a tool has matured to being a productive environment. Software developers move from playing and learning features, to supporting production systems and discussing best practices and development methodologies to ensure the success of their next project.
The ADF Enterprise Methodology Group is such a place for community discussions based around JDeveloper best practices and methodologies for ADF Enterprise development. On a day by day bases ADF "experts" (that's anyone that knows what ADF stands for ;-) chat about high level ADF concepts, beyond the how-do-I-get-it-to-work posts on the OTN JDeveloper Forums.
If you'd like to discuss best practices, steps and processes for a successful ADF project, please join us at:
http://groups.google.com/group/adf-methodology?hl=en
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Cheers,
CM.

Yet another blatant boing, to remind new people on the forum about the ADF Enterprise Methodology Group.

  • Please join us at the ADF Enterprise Methodology Group at OOW09

Once again the ADF Enterprise Methodology Group is meeting at Oracle Open World to discuss JDeveloper and ADF, and we invite you to join us. This year Simon Haslam has taken the reins and delivered not 1 but 3 sessions at OOW which is an impressive effort. You can find more details here: http://wiki.oracle.com/page/ADF+EMG+Sessions
Of particular interest to me is the "Show me yours!" session where ADF experts will be showing their production level ADF applications, essentially JDeveloper applications in the wild! We encourage you to join us, if not to show and tell, to just hear discussions among ADF experts on what challenges and solutions they're working with each day in the ADF market.
We hope to see you there.
    Cheers,
    CM.

Blatant boing to keep post at head of list.

    Hello folks.
I want to extend and invitation to join the project SwingML.
This is an open source effort available under GPL to create a markup language to render Swing based guis in an a web browser through an Renderer applet. Its goal it is to release the power of Swing by providing an alternative to replace COMPLETELY the use of HTML in the development of web based applications.

I'd like more detail on this council please.
It would probably be better to use this URL (leaving off the application server specific "28"):

When you says "Customers are Invited" do you mean "one executive per SAP Customer company" or do you mean "any SAP customer" can join?  I hope this initiative doesn't go the way of the SAP "Green IT" community which was announced with great fanfare and hardly heard from since.

  • An invite to join the SOA-BPM EMG

You're invited to join a new branch of the Enterprise Methodology Group (EMG), the SOA-BPM EMG.
    What is the SOA-BPM EMG?:
    >
This group is a place to discuss best practices and methodologies for SOA and BPM Enterprise (Oracle) development, including effort by "experts" in SOA (that’s anyone that knows what SOA stands for ;-) to discuss high level issues than those discussed on the OTN SOA Forums. This effort is an overall part of getting SOA and BPM experts, advocates and programmers to start collaborating at user group events and OOW to get SOA and BPM out there
    >
I encourage anyone interested to join the SOA-BPM EMG today, by visiting: http://groups.google.com/group/soa-emg

Is this group still around ? I couldn't locate the email group.
    Thanks

  • Building the ADF 11g project with ANT or MAVEN

I want to automate the build process of my project using ant or maven. Is there already some build scripts for ant / maven. which can compile and package it using the structure which JDeveloper follows?

    Anthony,
You probably can. However, since I wrote the original article, I have changed my way of thinking on this; at the time I wrote the article, ojdeploy was not working - now it is. Installing JDev on a build machine takes a bit of space, but it's not a big deal; it doesn't require a license or anything. If I were doing this today, there is no way I would consider anything but ojdeploy for doing the build - it guarantees that what I set up in JDev is what gets built. The one thing that could make me change my mind is if and when JDeveloper gets fully-baked Maven support, including keeping a POM in synch with any libraries added to a project, but that's neither here today nor a certainty, since Oracle hasn't made any specific announcements that I am aware of about the direction of Maven support in JDev.
We did have a discussion about this on the [url http://groups.google.com/group/adf-methodology/browse_thread/thread/52f7aab00d201b4c/bec6e076a7c82520?lnk=gst&q=ojdeploy#bec6e076a7c82520]ADF Enterprise Methodology Group a while back, and I recall quite a discussion in the forums as well about ojdeploy vs ANT/Maven. I used to be more of a "purist" mindset (i.e. don't make me install an IDE on the build server), but if you like, don't think of it as an IDE in this function - it doesn't require a user to operate it, it's just another build tool that you'd install on the server. That build tool can be integrated with ANT using the ojdeploy tasks.

  • TS3989 I keep getting this error when I click on the link inviting me to join a Photo Stream: "An error occurred while joining the Photo Stream. Please try again later. "

I keep getting this error when I click on the link inviting me to join a Photo Stream: "An error occurred while joining the Photo Stream. Please try again later."
I was the one who set up the Photo Stream and sent the link to myself. I called Apple and they said I did everything right and the server must be temporarily down, but it has been the same for the better part of a day.

None of the fixes above worked for me.  Continued getting the "try again" error message.
Tryed a bunch of things, such as going directly to icloud on Safari to open the mail message, no luck.
    Tryed the following;
Went to iCloud and logged in via Safari, clicked on my account name in top right corner, selected "Advanced" on drop down menu, and selected "Reset Photo Stream".
Turned off Photo Stream on all devices and iPhoto.
Turned on Shared Photo Stream option on Mac iCloud preferences.
Tried the "Join This Photo Stream" button in my Mac Mail app .me account again.
    Still got the error message.
Forwarded the original mail message to a yahoo account, selected "Join this Photo Stream" in the yahoo account mail (still in my Mac Mail app), and lo and behold, iPhoto opened and displayed the photos.
Could be this would have worked right from the start.
Oh yea, still get the "try again" message if I click on the Photo Stream button in my .me account.
