Inviting people to photo stream?

Hi,
has anyone here invited people to a photo stream from inside Aperture? I have tried it multiple times form different devices but I keep getting an error message. The invitation email gets sent out but after clicking on the "join photo stream" link, it says "An error occurred, please try again later." I'm trying for months now but I think iCloud is broken.
I've tried all the usual trouble shooting. Any help appreciated.

My friend sent me an invite to join a shared photo stream. When I clink on the invite it opens up a page that tells me the steps to ensure I have all the requirements for photo stream. I've triple checked and I do. But it is the same response every time I clink on the invite. Any ideas as to what I"m doing wrong?

• Trouble accepting invitation to a photo stream on iCloud for PC

My father used to have an iPhone so he has a valid Apple ID already. He still wants to be able to be a part of the photo streams my family is creating and showing nowadays. We downloaded iCloud Control Panel for his Windows 8 laptop and all of the photo streams he was previously subscribed to show up. However, when I sent him an invite to the newest photo stream we can't figure out how to join it. When we click the "subscribe" button in the email he receives it pulls up a new page that says "To subscribe to...photo stream on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, open your invitation in the Mail app, and click the Subscribe button in the message.", nothing about how to subscribe on PC. We could really use some help! We need to know how to subscribe to a photo stream on iCloud for a Windows 8 PC.
Thanks!

• HT201077 trouble inviting to view photo stream

Hello,
I set up a Shared Photo Stream album but a new iPhone 5 user from my contacts does not appear as a valid option?

Do your have their email address in your contacts?  If not, you can't select them as a subscriber.

• How do I stop other people's photos from appearing in my photo stream?

A couple of days ago I noticed a ton of pictures in my photo stream on my phone that weren't mine, of people I don't even know. I deleted them all, checked the iCloud settings and turned off sharing streams. But since then, pictures that aren't mine keep popping up, even after I turned off the sharing on my phone, and on the iCloud control panel on my PC (and deleting all the pictures from my computer!). What am I doing wrong here?
Note: I haven't accepted an invite to a photo stream from anyone, I didn't even know shared photo streams were a thing until I saw the pictures. I had to delete pictures all over again after updating to the iOS7 today. I have an iPhone 4S and I have Windows 7.
Thanks!

I had my phone replaced by Apple on the 8th February at the Apple centre in Trafford Centre. They asked me if I wanted to download my information from iCloud which I had last saved on the 6th February. The photos that were download were not my photographs. Some of them were of a highly explicit nature of persons (male/female) whom I do not know. The couple in question would be mortified to know I have received their intimate photographs off iCloud. All the photos were deleted and I was told an iCloud representative would get in touch with in a couple of days, which they did not. Since then I have been on to Apple again about a differed matter and they tried to get my original photos back on my phone but again these initiate explicit photos were downloaded to my iPhone. My 13 year old niece has been staying and has used my phone but thankfully did not look at the photos.  I have complained to Apple and had no satisfaction and I found their representative Alex de Matos rude and condescending, He also told me this had never happened before, he needs to read this website. I am now going to get in touch with the Trading Standards agency and the Data Protection agency as Apple have violated principle 5.

• Unable to access Photo Stream from email invite

I have been invited to a photo stream by a friend via an email to my Gmail account. When I click the 'Join this photo stream' link it takes me to a page telling me that I need OSX 10.8.2, iPhoto 9.4, be logged in to iCloud and press the 'Join this photo stream' link again. I have fulfilled all of this however it just keeps returning me to this page instead of allowing me to join the photo stream. Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks.

Did you get this in the email?
If so try the link at the bottom of the email.

• Does anyone who has icloud account my photo stream I have shared...?

I want to know about icloud privacy. when I share a photo stream on my ios device does any one who has icloud see that photo or I can limit it to certain people?

Only people you invite to shared photo stream will be able to see your photos.  Even if you share it as a public website, only the people you send the link to will be able to access it.

• Can't join others photo streams

My family is sending me invites to their photo streams. Okay, I'd like to be able to see their photos. I don't own an iDevice, but I do have a Macbook running 10.7.5; should be fine. So I turn on iCloud, discover I need to update iPhoto (not in system update, hrm, try downloading manually from the website, installer doesn't work, turns out I need to use the App Store, what?), update iPhoto, discover that photo streams aren't available in iCloud, install some system updates, now they show up, okay, so I should be good to go right? But when I click the "join this photo stream" button in the invite email I still get sent to a "how to set up iCloud" page!
And now, mysteriously, the "how to set up" page is claiming I need OSX 10.8! What the heck? It's moving the goalposts on me! Before I did those system updates it said that 10.7.4 would be sufficient!
I've spent over an hour troubleshooting and installing updates for things that I really don't need, just so I can see some photos that really don't require all this faffing about. I get that photostreams are automagic and amazing if you have an iPhone or iPad but the user experience here on a Macbook is complete tripe.
TL;DR if there's a way to get the things working on my current computer then great, but I don't see it. And I'm not about to give Apple more money for an OS upgrade (even if it's only $20 or whatever 10.8 costs) when 10.7 has been more than adequate for every other use case I've put it to. This just smacks of artificial limitations to get people to pay for upgrades.

Shared Photo Streams require iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4, and OS X v 10.8.2 or later.
See http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ for complete instructions
If you do not want the new enhanced capabilities of the newer software there is no need to upgrade - if you do want the new, enhanceed capabilities then you will have to upgrade - exactly like any other product you purchase - it has certain capabilities and as new features are released in new versions you have to purchase the newer versions to have the new capabilities

• Shared photo streams in iPhoto and Apple TV

Why is this proving so difficult for Apple to get right?
All I want to do is create private albums that I can share with family and have them sync back to my Mac so that all I need to do is organise my photos ONCE (i.e. on iPhone or iPad) and see these albums in iPhoto where they are also backed up locally.
I've created a shared photo stream album, shared it with my wife... she can see it on her phone... great.
I look in my iPhoto and there is no sign whatsoever that I've ever created a shared album. Just the main photo stream mess as usual.
Also, I go to my Apple TV and the same thing, just the same "every photo ever" mess.
I've recently taken to using Vimeo because this provides exactly what I need for home video. Create edited video in iMovie for iPad or Mac, then upload it to Vimeo, and share it only with family. I can then view them back on Mac, Apple TV, iPad etc.

AppleTV3,1_5.1_10A406e_Restore.ipsw

Shared Photo Streams — Accept invitations for Shared Photo Streams, browse photos and comments, and receive notifications of new content.
AirPlay — Send audio content from Apple TV to AirPlay-enabled speakers and devices (including AirPort Express and other Apple TVs). Also includes the ability to require an onscreen code to use AirPlay with your Apple TV.
iTunes account switching — Save multiple iTunes accounts and switch quickly between them.
Trailers — Search movie trailers. In the United States, see show times for local theaters.
Screen savers — New Cascade, Shrinking Tiles, and Sliding Panels screen savers.
Main menu— Reorder icons on the second page by holding down the select button on the remote.
Subtitles — SDH support for the deaf and hard-of-hearing as well as improvements to viewing and selecting subtitles.
Network configuration — Support for setting up advanced network options using configuration profiles.
Stability and performance — Includes general performance and stability improvements.

• Wrong name displayed in Shared Photo Stream on iPhone/iOS 6

I invited my wife to a shared photostream and MY name shows up when she comments on a photo.  It might be that she's using what used to be MY phone.  Here's what we did in our upgrade to iOS 6 and the iPhone 5.
I got the new iPhone 5 and passed the old 4S to my wife.
1) I backed up her old iPhone 4,
2) I reset the 4S (iOS 6) and restored from her old 4's backup.
3) Sent her an invitation to the photo stream, she accepts, posts, and it displays MY name.
4) Discovered on her phone that "My Info" under Settings-->Mail...-->Contacts was pointed to MY contact on her phone, not her own.  Fixed that.
5) Removed her from the photo stream, re-invited, still shows my name.
Could Apple be associating a Device ID with a name at the server level?  How do I fix this?

Hi all, after a view hours trying to resolve this I have found the answer to photo stream sender name issues.
iPhoto will display the name associated with your apple ID.
I logged onto "manage my apple ID" and found my wife's apple ID was registered to me and not her
It took 5 seconds to resolve - simple really

• Photo Stream address change?

I was invited to a photo stream today and they sender was only able to send to my email address after it failed to go to my mobile number.  Any way to change this or have it go to a mobile number or an email address?

Thanks, i was able to see it, however it does not show the email address I am seeing on my iphone.
Here is my situation. A friend of mine using Photo Stream shared an al album, I accepted.  Now when I go to the album he has been constantly adding members, I can see the full list and it shows name and emails. The email listed under my name is the one I want to change but I can't, mainly becuse that is a persona private email I use with my wife and I do not want the whole of the photo stream album to have it.
Any suggestiong please share...
