Billing and Invoice is one and same but we treat it as different in the transactions .
Billing is sap internal reference number which is maintained in VF01 and tables
VBRK VBRP gets updated .
Billing in terms means that i have a reference with so and so details that this is the amount charged to the customer for the purchase .
But when i produce this document in paper-work then it is called INVOICE
which is handed over to the customer and the paper work is a legal document that holds details of price and etc...
This is the difference between Billing and invoice in usage .
There will be terms called as INVOICE , First commercial invoice and second commercial invoice but never they can be called as First Billing and second Billing etc.
I hope u got the point.

  • Excise Invoice and RG Registers

    Hi SD Guru's
My client is into Electrical installation services , I would like to know whether Excise invoices and the RG registers are need to be updated.
The nature of business of the company is procuring trading material from the vendors and do the installation, testing and commissioning and raise the invoice. so for some of the material which they procure have Excise Duty and where as the output taxes are VAT and CST only.
I would like to know whether I have to configure CIN details and what are  the registers to be updated.
Thanking you all for your kind help.
    Rgds

    Dear Friend,
I am also with a client whose business is Electricial, Mechinical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting Installation services.
The business process is exact same as the process explaned to you.
Here we dont not update any Excise registers because we dont claim the Excise duty paid in Purchased goods.
The only Taxes applicable here are CST, VAT & Service Tax.
When we Purchase goods, the Excise Amount is shown seperately in PO Conditions but the value is updated in Material Cost. Only the Purchase / Sales taxes are posted in seperate GL accounts & VAT returned is claimed.
Thus in your case too I feel no Excise Registers updation is required.
    Hope this helps...

  • Excise invoice and domestic invoice sharing same number range

Hi,gurus,my question is addresed to the sap cin gurus
Scenario:-- Normally sap has provided provisions that the domestic invoice and the excise for the export will have different number range object
Transaction-snum or snro(As per the rule the no range has to be approved by excise authorities)
Requirement:--The present requirement of the client is that as per their requirement they will be using the same excise number range both for domestic and the export(They have got the approval from the excise department as per the amendment, that specifies the same)
so i request you to pls guide me as how can it be done in sap that two different business process will share the same number range.
as per my knowledge local excise number range is-J_1IEXCLOC
and for exports is-J_1IEXCEXPand the both will use the same number range and, suppose 1 local invoice is created and say if the no is 1,then if the export excise invoice is created the number will be 2,pls guide me how is it possible that the same number range should be used.
    Thanks in advance---Anshuman chakraborty

Dear sir,Thanks for attention towards the issue, but still i need to clarify some details-
the number range forJ_1IEXCLOC are already configured .It is not the case like i have to configure it for the first time however ,so the issue remains how shall i proceed in this case
Sir,i have already checked the transaction j1iin,it does not give any such box to check the-use local no range
infact the error message which the system was throwing to the user that-number range object not assigned for Object: J_1IEXCEXP.
The question remains from my side is what are the complete configuration steps I need to do ,to make the check box appear so as to select-use local number range, and is there any thing to be conveyed to my developer,so that the same appears,
or is it the case like the anything should earlier have been done before the number range for J_1IEXCLOC was created.i would request u to pls guide me giving the complete details of the step to be followed.
    Thanks in advance

  • A/R and A/P invoices and credit memo realized currency gain/loss report

    Hi,
We need some help in getting a report from SBO.
We would like to analyze their realized currency gain and loss account. We are lookiing into a report that shows the individual invoice/ credit memo foreign and local currency amount against the incoming / outgoing payment foreign and local currency amount.
Sometimes we  would do direct offset invoices in the incoming / outgoing payment, and sometimes it would be thru internal reconciliation. We have look thru the tables for the past 2 days but could not find any link between the invoices and payments especially so when reconciliation is performed.
Can this report be done either in XL Reporter or in SQL? If yes, which tables are these information store?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Whay Peng

    Hi Jimmy,
There is no need to run the exchange rate differences, when invoices that was offset during the incoming and outgoing payment. The realized currency gain/ loss account will be generated when the incoming and outgoing payment is made.
During reconcilation, yes we did run the exhange rate differences to get the realized currency gain / loss.
Could it be the two tables that you mentioned are storing information on the unrealised currency rate differences? We did not run exchange rates differences to provide for any unrealized gain/loss for the period, therefore the tables on our end is empty.

  • Link between A/R Invoice and the A/R credit memo

    dear all
how do we find the link between A/R invoice and it's credit memo from the database level.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kanishka Wickrama

    Hi
You can link AR Invoice and AR Credit memo through internal reconciliation for that customer.
Go to banking --> bank reconciliation --> Automatic Reconciliation --> internal reconciliation.

    Hi,
Have any samples for create A/R invoice and incoming payment by SDK?
    Which related tables are used?
    Thanks!
    Regards,

    On,
If you look at the SDK Help Documentation, specifically at the Documents, Document_Lines and Payments Objects for the DI API, the help discusses the tables involved as well as gives samples of common documents.

  • Reg: A/R Invoice and Credit Memo

    Hi Experts,
While I'm trying to copy an A/R Invoice to credit memo, which status is open-printed, the 'Copy To' field of A/R Invoice is unavailable. Also it was possible for me to create A/R credit memo for that same A/R Invoice, using 'Copy From' option of Credit Memo....! What may be the reason? I'm using SAP BOne 2005B Version.

If the Copy from worked and the Copy to did not, it seems like a product issue.
Check to see if this is the case with all the Invoices and the frequency of its occurance.
You might perhaps need to check if you are on the latest patch and if not has this issue been reporteed and fixed in any later pataches

  • Create A/R Invoice and Its Incoming Payment using DI Server

    Dear Hugo Moreno,
You could use the GetNewObjectCode Method of the Company Object to retrieves the key of the last added record.
Please refer to SDK DI API help for this method.

When printing an A/R Invoice, a print options box appears allowing you to select:
    () Invoice Only

I select the last option and I get the A/R Invoice and a Payment Receipt. I am trying to edit the payment receipt which is system generated. It their away to edit this? I can edit the A/R Invoice with not problem, but I can not find the Payment Receipt to edit it.

Thank you for your reply, but I was asking if their is away to edit to payment receipt? I know how to find, locate and edit the A/R Invoice templates, but I can not find the Payment Receipt that is generated along with the A/R Invoice.

  • A/R invoice and A/R downpayment invoice numbering

    Dear Expert
My client would like the numbering of A/R down payment invoice and A/R invoice fall into the same sequence to fulfill business needs. i.e. After issued of an A/R down payment invoice (e.g. no. 30), then when issue an A/R Invoice, the document number of the A/R Invoice would be no. 31. After that, if another A/R down payment invoice or A/R Invoice is issued, the document number would be 32.
Is it possible? If not, are there any workarounds available?
    Thank you
    Regards
    Elton

    Problem solved.
After activated 'Permit more than One Document Type per Series' under Company Details -> Basic Initialisation, go to System Initialization => Document Numbering => Relate Series to Document double click the grey box next to Document type and a window of the Series for that particular document type appears. Click New and Numbering Series  - Set up window pops up. Right click to add a row for new series, enter name, required First No. and Next No. for the series. Also, rememeber to define a new Period Ind. for the Primary Series and click Update. On the window of Series, uncheck the box for Primary Series and check the box for the newly created series, click on the number next to the newly created series name to highlight the row and click Set as Default. Finally, click update to confirm the changes and now the document will follow the newly created series.

  • AP Invoice and AP Credit Memo Reconciliation

    HI Expert,
I just want to ask if there's a way to automate reconciliation of AP Invoice and AP Credit Memo related to each other?
What I did was just open the AP invoice and i copied to AP Credit Memo. I assumed that this was automatically reconciled but when I check the GL affected, it remains unreconciled.
    Thanks,
    Arlmi2000

    Hi Arlmi,
Weird... Are you sure? Which version and PL you used? Try this query as well
    SELECT T1.TransId,T1.LineMemo,T1.MthDate FROM JDT1 T1
INNER JOIN OJDT T0 ON T1.TransId=T0.TransId
    WHERE((T0.TransType=18 AND T0.BaseRef=@param1)OR(T0.TransType=19 AND T0.BaseRef=@param2))AND ShortName='@VendorCode'
Replace @param1 with your A/P Invoice document number.
Replace @param2 with your A/P Credit Memo document number
Replace @VendorCode with your vendor code
Run the query, the result should be 2 rows. What is the value of MthDate column?

  • SQL Query for full paid invoices and payed out credit notes

    Hi alltogether,
I have some problems with a sql query.
I want to export all closed (full paid) invoices and credit notes in a table with the paid date.
The problem is that I have several internal reconciliations for one invoice or credit note.
So with my current query I get all these dates in the result but only for invoices, not for credit notes.
I only need the last internal reconciliation date as payment date for all invoices and credit notes where the open amount is 0.
In SAP B1 the finance team has service invoices and credit notes imported out of an ERP system.
These documents are marked with an 'Y" in the coloumn "U_I_Imported" in the table "OINV" or "ORIN".
    SELECT
    OINV.DocTotal - OINV.PaidToDate as Offen, OINV.NumAtCard, OINV.U_I_Imported, ORCT.DocDate as 'Zahlungsdatum'
