Invoice PDF outputs Displaying # instead of Russian Language in ECC system

Hi Folks,
In our ECC System ( EHP6 SP08) , Invoice output is being displayed in as # characters instead of Russian Language. Could any of suggest how we can proceed further

Did you checked for imported languages? SMLT transaction?
Also, please check if you have fixed the language at ADS configurations (RFC, JCO, etc...)

Hi!
1. Get the Russian language package for ECC 6.0
2. Run se38->RSCPINST (Note 42305 - RSCPINST (I18N configuration tool), add language RU and press Simulate
3. Check the log - whether or not Russian locale is installed on your server's operation system. If not - install and configure it
4. add/change required instance profile parameters (transaction RZ10). Language key for Russian is R.
5. Restart application server.
6. Run se38->RSCPINST and press Activate. Check the log.
7. Run transaction SMLT. Add RU language and choose supplemented language. Supplemented language can be selected once!
8. Run import of the RU language (follow the instructions from the help.sap.com)
9. Once the import is finished, check log, if everything is OK run Supplementation.
10. After importing of the RU language, you must also import the language data in the Support Packages it you installed them before language.
11. Use the Russian language by mention RU in a sapgui field when login

Invoice PDF output duplicated

Hi,
Some times the PDF output of the invoice is duplicated with that of previous invoice,where the invoices are created simultaneously via transaction VF04.
We use a custom program and Sapscript for this purpose.
But this doesn't happen all the time and only happens occasionally even with two invoices.
Not too sure if some buffering concept is invloved.
Could not find any relavant notes describing similar problem in the SAP service.
I have tried tracing the output of FM 'CONVER_OTF',but with no clue.
Can someone guide me in sorting this problem.

I don't think the problem is in the OTF conversion. It looks more like an error in the output processing program - either the invoice number gets "stuck" somewhere or something is getting called numerous times. I'm afraid you'll have to go through it with a fine comb, especially check for SELECT statements, any loops and subroutine calls.
It is less likely but the problem might be in the script as well.

PDF Output display change

Dear Team,
I want to change the output format of PDF file which is sent through broadcast in BI7. I have added logo in the 0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCAST_PDF Template. But it is not showing after changing and sending a mail. what may be the problem.

Printing in Russian Language - after ECC 6.0 unicode upgrade

Hello ,
Earlier users from russia are able to print in SAP 4.6C using SAPWIN Device type in russian language.
but after unicode conversion and ECC 6.0 EHP 4 upgrade, they are not able to print in russian using SAPWIN.
In print preview ,it is showing correclty, but not in output.
any help ?

Hi,
It should not be necessary to change to SAPWIN5. Device type SAPWIN5 only supports cyrillic fonts like COURCYR, HELVCYR or TIMECYR. Therefore, even if the erong font is used in the form, the device type converts it to a Russian font. If yuo use a correct font for Russian characters in the form, then SAPWIN should also work.
SWINCF should also work with the current form setting.

10.4 did not have Russian. Upgrade to 10.5, which does. Or contact http://www.apple.com/ru/ and see if they still have the Russian add-on they made for 10.4 several years ago.

Problem while importing Chinese traditional - ZF language in ECC system

I am in process of importing Chinese traditional language - ZF to one of our ECC system. For installing I am following below steps:
1. Executed SMLT
2. Classify --> Saved ZF - Chinese traditional language
3. Imported support package.
4. Then Select language u201CChinese trad.u201D And Goto Language --> Special Actions --> Import Support Packages
while i am doing 4th step and importing support packages, For some of the old support packages the status is "Not found" as they are not there at OS level. (Ex: The status "Not found" is there for SP SAPKH60001 - SP 01 for SAP_APPL 6.00. While our system is at SAP_APPL version 604).
While i am deselecting this component it's giving me following message:
You can only exclude files from the import at the end of the list.
The Support Package import is incomplete. Continue the import with the missing
files.
Can anyone please do let me know what has to be done to resolve this???

Unable to print AP Check with MICR on AIX. The PDF output displays the MICR

I have peculiar situation here and I would really appreciate any help I can get.
The issue:
The requirement here is to print an AP Check with the MICR. Using XML I have defined a template and when I preview the output in PDF, the MICR string displays fine. The same template also works fine from within Oracle Applications.
However, when I specify a printer and set the number of copies to 1, nothing is printed.
The issue that our DBA noticed was that the PDF to PS converter is dropping the MICR string and as a result nothing is getting printed. The client uses GhostScript for PDF2PS conversion and they have not been able to resolve this issue.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue? If so, what can be done to resolve this issue.

I think that means tool is either not installed or not in path:-
"The Xpdf language support packages include CMap files, text encodings, and various other configuration information necessary or useful for specific character sets. (They do not include any fonts.) Any or all of these can be installed by simply unpacking the tar file and adding a few lines to your xpdfrc configuration file (see the README file inside each package for details).
have you seen what needs to be changed in xpdfrc configuration file?

Problem in the header in the main window in russian language in script

We are using one custom script in Russian language for Contract form and print program is copy program of SAPFY06P.
The issue is, when the contract form is having more number of pages in its output, then some times Russian header text is not printing properly in the output, it prints as junk text instead of Russian language, and surprisingly it is happening only for some pages randomly.
I implemented protect and endprotect statements for the item text in the form, then also Russian text is not printing properly, rather the random printing is changing from one page to the other
In the custom program u2018ZCONPF02u2019 (copy program of u2018FY06PF02u2019), there is one perform u2018ausgabe_pos_uebu2019. In this perform, there is u2018WRITE_FORMu2019 function module with element u2018PROTECTu2019. There is no function module with element u2018ENDPROTECTu2019 in this

Hi Yamini,
I think this happens when you look at utf-8 in Windows wiith another character set. I've noticed that the XML file (and hence the PDF output) displays those characters when I preview reports on the BI desktop, but the output from the server is fine, so I don't worry about it.

Query about Email Address Format & PDF Output

I'm using XML Publisher and an RTF word template linked to an Oracle XML file to generate PDF Purchase Orders.
Part of the PDF output displays an email address.
If the email address is in this format:
[email protected]
then when the PDF output is generated, the address is outputted into a clickable hyperlink which sends an email to:
[email protected]
However, if the email address is set to:
[email protected]
then the resulting email hyperlink will only be sent to:
[email protected] (i.e. all to the right of the dot)...
Just wondered if there is any way to stop this from happening?

Just double checking again, to see if anyone is aware of a workaround for this email issue? Is there anything I can do in the XSL in the background to force a particular email hyperlink format?

Just to let you know: Oracle 10g ist out of general maintenance, you should consider ugprading to 11g.

The files are part of the normal DVD delivery.
You will need to
- create the language key RU using RSCPINST
- create the language including the substitution language in SMLT
- import the package from the DVD
- import the support package dependent parts from your installed support packages
- substitute the language
- fill your production clients

PO output medium as 'External Send' for Language BG giving '#' instead of character in PDF output

Hi Experts,
When we maintain the PO output medium as ‘External Send’ for Language ‘BG’, the PO pdf is showing # instead of character.
But, if the output medium is PRINT and language is ‘BG’, the PO pdf prints correctly in BG language.I have checked the output type
NEU and find that same smartform is maintained for both the case.
Also it is working fine in the Quality as well as in development server.. issue is coiming only in PRD.

we've a little trouble with the pdf converter in SAP 4.6C.
In the systeme there is a custom based soft font implemented (RSTXPDF2). The Forms work with SAPScript and use the global imported soft font , the direct printed output and local created pdf are fine.
But when i try to use the archive for this documents the output use the right font, some characters are different so that i can see that the creator use the font.
But the created and stored document in the archiv display all character in bold version, so that this isn't like the original.
I try to use the testreport RSTXPDFT4 from sap to create a pdf download from spool, which was created witht the printer that create the paper output as well.
The created pdf has the same problems, so that all is printed in a bold version of the style.
The form has a headline in bold and after this there are some normal characters parts and two parts with bold words.
It's seems that the data in the output send all, but the converter can't interpret the bold end information as in the paper output.
The target solution is to archive the pdf, but when the short spool isn't fine so i think that the archive printer isn't the problem. The printer was copied from the default, because the archivlink type can't use global softfonts.
The fonts are activated in the se73 for the archive printer type and e. g. sapwin.
Hint when i use the archive default which can't use softfonts the courier was used and the different areas will be display in bold and normal as defined.
Every hint is welcome to find out why the convertor makes all in bold.

Special characters to be displayed on the invoice PDF

Hi,
We have a requirement to display the name of the contact person of BTP in invoice PDF as "Stefan König". I have a doubt that if we translate the text field in the respective language whole name will be affected. As we need both english character, foreign character and special character in the same text.
Any pointers on this is well appreciated.

As your requirement is to display the name of the contact person in Invoice as Stefan Koing , then for your billing output type assign a smartform and PDF file formats also. In the smartform make sure that you are translating the name to Stefan Koing and ensure that it has to be displayed in the PDF form . Then your requirement will be fulfilled
