  • EDI Message Type for Credit Memo inbound message

    Hi Experts ,
    We have ECC6.04.
    We configured Incoming vendor invoice idoc ( Message Type - INVOIC, Basic type  - INVOIC02)  which is working fine. We also have Credir Memo incoming message ( Message Type - GSVERF , Basic type  - GSVERF03 , Processing code-  GSVE , FM-IDOC_INPUT_GSVERF_START and assigned this FM to Object Type-  BUS2094)
    I am using same IdoC in WE19 that of Invoice, which successfully posted and editing the BSART as CRME and entering the Messgae type GSVERF , but when I am posting it system is giving error
    No record exists in T661W for vendor 2000001 , plant , unloading pointMessage no. V4032
    Diagnosis
    The system could not determine a sold-to party as no record has been specified in Table T661W for the displayed supplier, plant, and unloading point values.
    System Response
    IDOCS processing is terminated.
    Procedure
    Please create a record in Table T661W for the above values and restart the IDOCS planning from electronic mail.
    and
    EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (segment cannot be identified)Message no. E0078
    Diagnosis
    The segment E1EDK04 does not occur at the current level of the basic type GSVERF03 (extension ).
    This error can have several reasons:
    The segment E1EDK04 is assigned to a group whose header segment does not occur.
    The segment E1EDK04 does not exist in the syntax description of the basic type GSVERF03 (extension ).
    The sequence of segments in the group in which the segment appears is incorrect.
    Previous errors ('mandatory' segment or group missing) may be due to this error.
    Procedure
    Please check the IDoc or the syntax description of the basic type GSVERF03 (extension ).
    Th table T661W  is for Vendor, partner decribtion, Sold to party, Unlaoding Point. So I am not getting whsy sold to part relevant table ssytem is asking to make entry ?
    Can anyone please suggest/help me what is the problem and solution on this ?
    Thanks

    Hi ,
    Currently we are using Message Type - GSVERF , Basic type - GSVERF03 , Processing code- GSVE , FM-IDOC_INPUT_GSVERF_START and assigned this FM to Object Type- BUS2094)..which is giving above error. I just found that process code GSVE is for Outbound message
    Can any one suggest /  confirm what should  be exact Message Type , Basis Type, Process code  and Funct. Module requiered  for processing EDI inbound message in MM - Logistics Inv Varification ?

  • IDOC question on Message type and Basic Type - Partner Profile

    Hi all,
    I am wonder if I can post any IDoc question in this right forum/module. If not please direct me to the right forum/module. I am a newbie in IDOC setup.
    My question is about the setup of Partner Profile creation (WE20).
    When creating a new partner, for example with partner type LI, I notice there is outbound parameter and inbound parameter.
    Questions:
    1 u2013 It makes sense to have only one message type record appear in EITHER one of these two tables.  I notice that some partner in my system has message type record exist on both the inbound and outbound parameters table, why system allows? What is the business rational?
    2 u2013 May I have a list of standard SAPu2019s Message Type object of its usage description, and its allowable Basic Type (ie. IDOC TYPE). Basically a website to describe their (i.e. Message type and its Basic Type) business usage.
    Thanks.
    tuff

    Tuff,
    Below are my thoughts,
    There is a partner sing partner type LI. This partner in the WE20, has one record (i.e. with Message Type ORDERS) exist in the Outbound Parameter table. This partner also has 4 records (i.w. with Message Type DESADV, INVOIC, MBGMCR, and ORDRSP) exist in the Inbound Parameter table. So my question is what is the business rational behind this kind of setup. Because I am confuse when come to create a partner profile, whether I need to create a message type in Inbound Parameter table or Outbound Parameter table, or I need both.
    OK, so looking at the above example, you have an orders message type(This is for creating an order) in the outbound, this means that you are sending out an IDOC(purchase order for ex) to this partner, so that this partner can create an SO in his system and fulfill your order.
    Now you also, mention that you have other four Message types for the same partner on the inbound, now let us look at the above scenario, you have asked your partner to fulfill the order, i guess you would like to get a confirmation from him/her if the order was created or not in his/her system and how and when is he/she going to fulfill your order requirement. This he/she does by sending an response to your order -  ORDRSP.
    And when the partner is ready to ship your order to you, he/she sends out a Advance Shipping Notice - ASN via the IDOC of message type DESADV.
    Finally and most importantly , he/she will send you the invoice - INVOIC for the order.
    In general, you interact with your partner via Business Docs - Order, Delivery, ASN, Invoice etc, so whatever document come from your partner - ORDRSP, INVOIC etc will be on the inbound profile of the partner. Whatever docs that you send ORDERS, ORDCHG etc etc will be on the outbound profile of the partner.
    2 - Bascially I would like a reference in any website that allow me to choose which message type is best use for my partner profile, so that I don't have to reinvent.
    Well, there is no choice of choosing/best message type for a given requirement - So for sending an Invoice the message type is INVOIC, ORDERS - For order creation, ORDCHG for order change etc. However the IDOC type, is some thing that you can choose, for Ex: ORDERS01 - ORDERS05, these are the IDOC types that are available, so if you are interacting with a partner who are running an old version of SAP and their system has only upto ORDERS02 in their version of SAP then you would use ORDERS02.

  • Synchronous FTP response message

    Hi,
    I am new to XI, so would welcome some advice.
    I have implemented an interface from ECC5 via abap proxy to XI FTP adapter to send files to a third party.
    I am using a synchronous interface to check the ftp has been successful.
    Because of it being synchronous, I must give a response message type.  But as this response is empty, the mapping back is failing.
    So, can I have a synchronous interface without a response, or can I fill the response from the FTP action, and if so, how ?
    Thanks
    Paul

    I am using a synchronous interface to check the ftp has been successful.
    1) FTP receiver cannot be used in a SYNC mode.
    2) If your intention is only to check if the connection was established successfully between PI and FTP and the file was transferred successfully then you can see that from status in Runtime Workbench --> Adapter Engine --> Channel MOnitoring.
    You dont need to do this manually (even though you can), you can set alerts which can raise an error message in case if anything goes wrong....this is a standard practice followed....no need to make the process SYNC.
    If your requirement is to check if the file has been processed successfully by the FTP server then you need to implement a process similar to the one explained by Holger.

    As it can be seen from the logs, the message type is being set to 1. However it should be 2 in case of response.
    The following header properties are being used in the AQ stub:-
    msgID = G20090303035936810.34565d:11fc706dc89:-7fbc@706519011
    from = COMSTOR
    to = BTGS
    doctypeName = Pip3A4PurchaseOrderConfirmation
    doctypeRevision = V02.03.00
    payload = Pip3A4_Response_POA10170020309.xml
    attachment =
    Can you please let us know the reason for the wrong message type being set?
    Regards,
    Ravi Shah

    Dheeraj,
    We have included msgType=2 as a part of the AQ header.
    The logs show that message type is getting set to 2 but still COMSTOR is Buyer and BTGS is Seller.
    Because of this, agreement look-up is getting failed.

  • Sharepoint error - Search Issue - The content type text/html; charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+msbin1).

    i see this error everywhere - In ULS logs, on site. On the site > Site settings > search keywords; I see this -

  • Error consuming Web service - content type text/xml;charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding

    Hi all,
    We are trying to interact with Documentum server through DFS exposed WCF which communicates through port 9443 and we are provided with documentum issued Public Key certificates. We have successfully imported the certificates in client machine and configured
    the bindings as below in our .Net web application config file.
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <wsHttpBinding>
    <binding
    name="ObjectServicePortBinding1">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="None"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    <binding
    name="QueryServicePortBinding">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="None"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    </wsHttpBinding>
    </bindings>
    Also, we set the message encoding as MTOM and the wcf client object initialization code snippet is as below,
    ObjectServicePortClient
    serviceClient = new
    ObjectServicePortClient(new
    WSHttpBinding("ObjectServicePortBinding1"),
    new
    EndpointAddress(UriUtil.ObjectServiceUri));
    if (serviceClient.Endpoint.Binding
    is
    WSHttpBinding)
       WSHttpBinding
    wsBinding = serviceClient.Endpoint.Binding as
    WSHttpBinding;
    wsBinding.MessageEncoding =
    "MTOM".Equals(transferMode) ?
    WSMessageEncoding.Mtom :
    WSMessageEncoding.Text;
    serviceClient.Endpoint.Behaviors.Add(new
    ServiceContextBehavior(Config.RepositoryName,
    Config.DocumentumUserName,
    Config.DocumentumPassword));
    When we execute the above code, we are getting error message as below,
    Exception: The content type text/xml;charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (multipart/related; type="application/xop+xml"). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported
    method is implemented properly. The first 407 bytes of the response were: '<?xml version="1.0" ?><S:Envelope xmlns:S="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><S:Body><S:Fault xmlns:ns4="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"><faultcode>S:VersionMismatch</faultcode><faultstring>Couldn't
    create SOAP message. Expecting Envelope in namespace http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/, but got http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope </faultstring></S:Fault></S:Body></S:Envelope>'
    Then, we changed the bindings as below
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <wsHttpBinding>
    <binding
    name="ObjectServicePortBinding1">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    <binding
    name="QueryServicePortBinding">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="
    Certificate"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    </wsHttpBinding>
    </bindings>
    We are getting another error message,
    Exception: The client certificate is not provided. Specify a client certificate in ClientCredentials.
    Any pointers on resolving this issue would be highly helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi Dhanasegaran,
      As per your case, the corresponding details which may guide you to resolve this issue:
    1. First of all, you can try to call the wcf service directly from the browser & check where it will point out the correct location.
    2. In config file ,Set IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults to true to enable exception information to flow to clients for debugging purposes .
    Set this to true only during development to troubleshoot a service like below :
    <serviceBehaviors>
      <behavior name="metadataAndDebugEnabled">
        <serviceDebug
          includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true"
    />
        <serviceMetadata
          httpGetEnabled="true"
          httpGetUrl=""
    />
      </behavior>
    </serviceBehaviors>
    3. I suggest you to change that <security mode ="TransportWithMessageCredential"> instead of <security mode ="Transport">

  • WCF returning "The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8)"

    I have a WCF service I am trying to run on a new installation of 64-bit Windows Server 2008 IIS. Although it runs fine on Windows 2003 IIS, it is throwing the error in the thread title, which appears to be a server config issue, but I am not sure. Googling and searching the MSDN forums did not turn up a solution. I tried running WCF Logging, but that didn't help either.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this probelm?

  • What is inbound XML message type and idoc type in Purchase Order response

    Hi ,
    We are on SRM 7 ECS , support pack SAPKIBKV08.
    We have a process in which vendor will send a Purchase Order response  which will be
    converted to XML format by a middleware. This XML message will come to
    SRM and post a POR. I want to do the EDI mapping for this XML message,
    but there is no message type and idoc type in SRM for Purchase Order
    response. How do I map my message type in SRM to the vendor sent fields
    in middleware .
    Please advise
    Rgds
    Sumendra

    Hi,
    You can process with XML without IDoc.
    Vendor->  (XML) -> PI -> (XML) -> SRM.
    Please check PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In in namespace "http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Procurement/Global".

  • Message type 'INVOICE'  for intercompany billing?

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement that i have to  create the invoice receipt for FI when the billing document is created in the same client?
    Please provide me the details for this
    such as output type and process code and other master data settings that have to fill?
    Thanks,
    Vamshi.

    Hi,
    For creating a intercompany invoice interface you need to do the following steps:-
    1. You need to maintain the Account at Customer in the customer master
    2. Ask your functional consultant to create an output type for you for this interface and let that output be triggered in the billing document.
    3. You need to create a partner profile for Customer and Partner Role as BP.  Message Type INVOIC, Message code FI and Process Code as SD08.
    4. You need to maitain the logical address to convert it to the vendor, this entry is maintained in the table EDILOGADR.
    5. Till now what ever you maintained is for the outbound interface.
    6. You need to create a partner profile for the vendor as Message Type INVOIC, Message Code FI & Process code INVF.
    7. The FI functional consultant has to enable that vendor as EDI and he has to make the necessary setting for the document to be posted successfully.
    If your functional consultant is not in a position to do them, you can ask me and i will help you to do those setting as well.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh.
