Invoice to convert in PDF and send by E-Mail
I would like to Convert the OutPut of Invoice to PDF format and send it through E-Mail.
Is there any SAP standard programme available to this or what is the process?
This is OK, but kindly let me know the what paramter I have to enter, I entered some parameter and some parameter I cant understand, marked as '?'.

I have created a custom PO SAP scirpt for the tcode ME23N and configured the same in tcode NACE Application 'EF' , output type 'NEU'
But the client requirement is to send this SAP Scipt PO converted to pdf & then send thru email to the user who created PO (ME23N)?
How do u get this functionality please let me know?

that is easy, you only need to keep the steps to do in mind:
1) find a suitable point to place in your code to do all this for you
2) create a FM that will convert your form into PDF (search a little, this has been done like zillion times here)
3) create a FM that will send the PDF stream (hex data which is accepted by the BCS class as the attachment data)
4) check the email customizing in your system
5) run and enjoy
All the parts has been done here many times, shouldn´t be a problem.

I found out in internet that the smartform 'HR_ESS_PAYSLIP_TO_PDF' will convert to PDF and then i can send email to PERNRS.Hi Experts,

I have smartform whihc i have to conver into pdf and send by mail. nay inputs is higghly appreciatedHi,
You call the smartform-function module from within your printprogram.
That smartform-function module has some standard import en export
parameters(tables).
One of the parameters (OTF) you have to mark (X).
Than after the processing of the smartform(-function module) you get your
otf back in an internal table.
You have to convert this table to pdf with FM convert_to_pdf (or something
like that).
The output of this FM can be downloaded to the presentation server (pc) (FM
gui_download) or written to the application server (SAP server) (transfer
statement).

ive dev the smart for me21n. its working fine. Standard programme is SAPLMEGUI.
now new requirement is , convert the smart form to pdf and then sending the pdf through email to customer.
Can any plz tell me is there any stadard programme or else need to custmise the print programme?

I'm using the below coding for converting the output of the program to pdf and then mail it to the recepient.The coding works for background processsing only can i do the same for online.In the write statement i'm using the sy-repid my program name and when i get the pdf mail i'm getting the name of the program but instead i need to get the output of my program.Can any one help me in correcting the coding to get the output in pdf format.I know where i'm going wrong but this is the first time i'm working with this so new to this....It would be better if i could run the program and get the convertions into pdf through mail instead of background processing.....Please change the coding below to get the same.....

Generating a PDF from a OTF (imported from CLOSE_FORM) and send it by mail.
Hello!
I have a problem.
I'll try to explain it toy you.
I have a SapScript that the user has the option to send it to the printer or have a Print Preview. I need to send it by mail in PDF format.
If the user select PRINT, a spool id is created, I can get the OTF, generate the PDF and send it by mail. Everything OK with that.
The problem is if the user select PRINT PREVIEW I don't get a spool id. So, what I did is to get the OTF from the CLOSE_FORM MF and generate de PDF from there. I tried several FM to generate the PDF but for sure I'm doing something wrong, because or the PDF is corrupted or I have a problem with the parameters in the SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 FM.
So, what I need it: Generate a PDF from a OTF imported from CLOSE_FORM FM and send it by mail.
Examples or the FM I can use are welcome.
I tried to do search here, but I couldn't find anything that may help me..
So, please... Show me the light!!!

Convert spool to PDF and send as email attachment
When i try to convert SAP spool to PDF and send it as email attachment, size of PDF document becomes large as compared to size of the PDF cocument i download using the same spool.
I am using following FMs.
CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF to convert spool to PDF
and
SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email with attchment.
some times size of attchment exceeds 2MB and email results in error in SAP connect (SOST).
Any idea on how to compress the PDF attchment??
