Invoke Activity with updateTask

Hi, In 10.1.3.3, we are trying to update the payload and various task information(title, assignee) for an active task. We are trying to do this with an Invoke Activity using a Partner Link of TaskService and an Operation of updateTask, but no luck. Has anyone successfully used updateTask in 10.1.3.3 and, if so, how? Perhaps are Assign Activitiy is not initializing the Input Variable correctly? Maybe this isn't the way to go to update an active task?
Thank you,
Mike

can you please explain Partner Link of TaskService and an Operation of updateTask...????

  • How to pass parameter into a source variable of a invoke activity

I'm an new BPELer, I created a invoke activity to submit Oracle Appplications concurrent program, but I don't know how to pass parameter into source variable.
BTW, I have created the mapper file (.xsl) file.
could anyone tell me how to do that?
    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi.
How you start application? I think you send message to webservice(BPEL process is webservice too). So construct message with variable and value.
But I created only processes where input value doesn't matter. I haven't use mapper yet too.

  • Generating Midway Receive Activity with Service Constructor in AIA 11g

    Hi all,
We are trying to generate a midway receive activity in ABCS (to handle callback) using service constructor. However when I am using the callback option and selecting a target service it is generating an invoke activity only. However this thing worked with Artifact Generator in AIA 2.5 FP.
Has anybody achieved this scenario of generating midway receive activity using service constructor?
    Thnks & Rgds,
    Mandrita

    Hi,
Yes. You give it the abstract WSDL and operation for the callback.
The service constructor merely provides a starting point and not a complete composite. You have to do a lot of ‘finishing’ off yourself.
I should point out that we are now through our testing phase of our integration. Although midway receives in our ABCS’ do work they greatly increase the maintenance load on the system, the admins and support staff. If I were to re-work this I would have designed the ABCS’ to be transient and I would highly recommend you look at re-working the solution so that wherever possible every single BPEL you create is truly transient and short lived. (Have a look here http://blog.thisisahmed.com/2009/05/transient-vs-durable-bpel-processes.html)
Where we had a requirement for a mid-way receive to send the response back to the correct place I would have instead used two one way integrations and program the target system to hold and re-transmit any data required by the return path.

  • Process behaviour invoke activity / partnerLink

    Hi,
i wanted to know which behaviour / model is implemented by the oracle bpel process manager regarding the invocation of subprocesses or services defined by a partnerLink.
partnerLinks could be pointing to external web services or to other modelled bpel processes, which are deployed in the same bpel engine. Also there could be a synchronous and asynchronous invocation. What happens in all these cases, if the caller or callee will abort or malfunction, e.g. if we have 2 bpel processes deployed in the oracle bpel process manager, process A calling process B with a synchronous invoke activity. What happens if process A aborts or malfunctions? What happens if process B aborts or malfunctions? What if it would be a asynchronous call? What if process B would be a external web service? Is the called service defined in a partnerLink always an autonomous process or which dependency is modelled by the bpel process manager between main process and called subprocess/partnerLink. Or should a subprocess be modelled differently, e.g. in a scope, and not by a independent bpel process model, to achieve more process dependency?
Currently i´m using Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2.
    Thanks in advance
    Peter

Has anyone an idea how this behaviour would be like? Is there a dependency just in BPEL scopes and full autonomy in BPEL partnerLinks?

  • Record is not displayed in Historical Reports-Activity with no Customer

    Hi All,
We have an issue in Historical Reports for Activity.we are using Book of Business also.
Now the issue is under Activity History as subject area, when an activity doesn't have any Customer it should come as Unspecified in the report.
Like if it doesn't have account assosiated to it then it is shown as Unspecified in the report.
But for activity with no customer assosiated to it, it is not showing the entire record (Acitivity) in the report.
When the Customer field is removed from the displayed columns then we are able to see those activities in the report.
    Note:
But when the Book of Business is not there previously, it was working fine
    An response is appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
Yes we have a workaround for this.
Since the Primary Customer is not exposed as an Activity filed.
Copy the value of the Primary Customer and display it in a filed of activity using workflows.
Then replace the customer filed with this filed.
Then u will get the activity without customer also cause the customer filed is a normal activity field.
    Hope this helps.

  • Creation of Activity with campaign

    hi guys,
Can anybody help for the below scenario.
I am creating an activity with an 'CAMPAGIN ID'. Once the Campagin id is populated in the activity transaction and click on save button it will become as a preceding document for the activity.
I am using the function module(BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI) to create an preceding document as marketing campaign for the activity. But it was not working.
can anyone guide how to approach to the above mention scenario. If possible post sample code.
    Thanks
    Viswa

    Hi Viswa
    Try this.
    Create a Marketing Campaign first.
On save create activity using actions.

  • Re-executing Activities in a Scope Activity with the Replay Activity

    Hello All,
Our destination DB can go down and may take 2 -3 hrs to come back. We would want to catch a fault and then would want to replay the Invoke activity every 15 = 30 minutes hoping the DB has come UP and so records would get inserted. Understand that SOA works as a instance so this REPLAY would keep trying in that instance and next instances would automatically get queued and execute serially when that DB comes UP. Is this correct ?
Meaning when DB comes up then ......... instance 345678 gets inserted, followed by replay of instance 345679 gets inserted , followed by instance 3455680 gets inserted automatically without human intervention. is this correct?
and what is cost on performance / memory resources standpoint on using such REPLAY ? is it a memory Hogger activity ? OR there is no performance impact.
    thxx
    brazil

Is there a dependency that these instances get processed as soon as the DB comes back up? If an invoke happens on a down DB I would fault the instance using fault policies and do manual intervention when you know the DB is back up. Unless there is a good reason I wouldn't use a replay activity, but I would need to know more about the use case.
    Regards.

    Hi, uttam_june15.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I am not sure if you are unable to activate iMessage or that your phone number is not registering with iMessage.  However, here are the troubleshooting articles that cover both scenarios.

    Hi Sabih,
For a Nexus 1010 pair to form HA redundancy, the communicate with each other via the Control VLAN. You would have specified this during your installation.
Can you verify that they are both utilizing the same Control VLAN.
    n1010# show svs domain
Furthermore, ensure that this vlan is defined and forwarding, on the relevant ports, on the upstream 6509s.
    Thanks,
    Michael

  • Design panel not active with php file?

I have DW CS5 on two computers.  One one the design panel is active with a PHP file. On the other, it is not active.
I must have a setting wrong on the one computer. What do I need to do to make the design panel active?  The code panel is fine on both.
It is very hard to work on a PHP file when I can't see the design panel.
    Regards,
    Bill Schaepe

The problem is that I have a number of PHP files that I need to modify the words in a form and it is hard to see what I am doing.
You can't do this in Code view?
On both computers, I just generate a new PHP file.  On the one computer the design panel is active and I can click design tab on it to see the design.  On the other one, I  can't click on the design panel tab to see the design.
Both the same version revision level of DW?  Both on the same platform?  Do you have an option to click on "Design" under View on the main menu?

It is a feature to discourage the theft of iPhones by making them useless if resold. It's not going anywhere. It's simple: just don't buy a phone until you make sure that the activation lock has been disabled.

  • Noob Q - Overriding SOAP header in invoke activity

I am attempting to invoke a web service via a partner link. Unfortunately, values being placed in the SOAP header are causing a SOAP fault from the server when the invoke activity is reached. Is there a way to change or remove parts or all of the SOAP envelope header? Ideally, it would look like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:contract="http://webservices.docucorp.com/ewps/schema/2005-12-01" xmlns:ns="http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime">
    <soap:Header/>
    <soap:Body> ... </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
Being able to set the header values would also be helpful as I could possible "fix" the one causing the error.
    Thanks,
    Gene

I've discovered that the "Invoke" activity has a tab for setting header properties. Unfortunately, my settings aren't actually being made. Has anyone used this feature and, if so, is there something extra I need to do to activate these changes. I've also discovered the header node causing the failure - <wsa:Action>http://webservices.docucorp.com/ewps/service/2005-12-01/EWPSDocumentServicesInterface/doCallAPIRequest</wsa:Action> it should be <wsa:Action>http://webservices.docucorp.com/ewps/service/2005-12-01:doCallAPI</wsa:Action>.
