Invoking WLI 9.2 Process as a web service

Hello All,
Does someone know how to publish WLI Process as a web service and invoke it through command line?
If yes, then please comment with the necessary information.
Thanks & Regards,
Anand K Singh

I dont think what is the issue that you have here. Now there are multiple ways to expose a WLI process as a webservice.
1. The WLI workshop allows you to direcly expose a .jpd file (process file) as a WSDL.
2. In case you want you Web service to have multiple methods for different processes, create a process control from the .jpd file and then create a Weblogic Webservice using these controls.
Hope this helps.

    i will be happy if i could get help..
    thanks in advance

    can you initate the process from the bpel console successfully?
    if so can you use obtunnel from the installation to trace the soap message (that goes over the wire), my best guess in this case is a problem with a header (holding the wsa information) ..
    after starting obtunnel it will liesten to a custom port, and will forward the request to the engine, so you need to point your client to this new port..

  • BPM Process As a Web-Service Username and Password

    Hi all,
    We have exposed a Process as a Web-Service WSDL to another system . We use Username Token Profile to enter the username and password to connect to the Web-Service..
    Now what we do is we have a role in our project and we create a dummy Web-Service user and add the role to that user and then use its password and username to call the Web-Service.
    Can we change this?
    Can we have a dummy username and password not associated with any role in BPM used in our Web-Service?

    Did you use PAPI code inside your web service or did u just use PAPI Web Services ( like did u just pressed the button Launch PAPI Web Services ) and it created the WSDL for you and u used it to create the client?
    I am using the latest version of OBPM..
    Oracle 10.3.10
    Can you let me know what do u mean by PAPI interface.. Is it the PAPI code of is the PAPI Web Service which is built by BPM automatically and could be used?

    To invoke the web service, we are just using the JavaScript code that has been generated by BPEL Process Manager. The call looks like:
    function invokeSync (url, xmlDoc) {
    var req = null; if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
    req = new XMLHttpRequest();
    } else if (window.ActiveXObject) {
    req = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
    if (req) {
    req.open("POST", url, false);
    req.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "text/xml");
    req.send(xmlDoc);
    return req.responseXML;
    I have been able to invoke other web services using exactly the same function. They all seem fine.
    I am even able to use an AXIS type client to invoke the BPEL web service from Eclipse.
    Advice??? This definitely appears to be some sort of bug?
    Thanks,
    BradW

    check out 102.InvokingProcess/ws tutorial .. which uses axis .. or generate the client based on the wsdl that you can retrieve from the bpel console / click on the process/ and then wsdl tab ..

  • Business Process Integration using Web Services

    Hi!
    I'm interested to know if there are any products available today that can help a
    Java developer integrate loosely coupled components into a business process. I thought
    of doing this using existing Java APIs but I don't want to build all the infrastructure
    myself, like translating from Java to XML and back, dealing with persistence of the
    process context, correlating messages, etc.
    I looked at BEA Workshop but realized it is mainly good for creating asynchronous
    web services with a callback pattern but they don't address long-lived multi-step
    business processes.
    I've also posted my question on TheServerSide.com and was referred to Collaxa's Web
    Service Orchestration Server which I'm going to evaluate shortly (http://www.theserverside.com/discussion/thread.jsp
    thread_id=13413)
    Thanx! Jill.

    Jill,
    Collaxa offers indeed a solution that reduces the complexity of integrating multiple
    synchronous and asynchronous web services into a long-lived multi-step business process.
    It relies on an innovative JSP-like abstraction (called ScenarioBeans).
    You can download the product and kick the tires at http://www.collaxa.com
    Tibco and Web Methods also offer solutions in that space.
    Finally you might be able to tweak WLI using XML events to support asynchronous Cajun
    style web services.
    Best,
    Edwin

  • Unable to wire BPEL process to external Web Service

    Hi ,
    I am working on calling Web service from BPEL Process(I am trying to invoke currency converter service from BPEL process).I added Curreny Converter webservice component in "External references" Swimlane in SOA(Jdeveloper) composite editor by using WSDL that I got for that service..I also built the BPEL Process (BPEL Currency Process-which has bpelcurrenyprocess_client service in 'Exposed Services' swimlane).Then I wired BPEL Process to "CurrencyConverter" service.When U click on BPEL process,We have to get the that(Currency Converter" service) in right side partner link in BPEL Process( .bpel editor) editor.But I am not getting that in partner link.
    I hope some of you guys are already worked on BPEL process which calls "CurrencyConverter" Service.Can anybody help me in this issue?
    I am giving service details through which u can track about the issue that I am talking about:
    WSDL : CurrencyConvertor.asmx.wsdl
    example application is :bpel-106-CallingWebServices.jpr
    Note : I want to siimulate above application in my application
    Edited by: 899283 on May 14, 2012 4:48 AM

    if you are not getting the partner link even after adding in the composite view, you may just perform the following steps.
    Right click on the right swimlane in your BPEL View, create a partner link, and you would see 4 buttons just above the Text box for WSDL URL. Select the 3rd button there. That is the service wizard. Once you click on that, you would need to repeat the set of steps that you did on the "Composite View" earlier.
    And there, you have it in your BPEL View!
    Hope this helps!

  • How to call BPEL process from Java Web Service?

    Any example/sample/tutorial on this?
    TIA.

    I've done something similar a few times, specifically using a standalone Java application to invoke a BPEL process (so that it can be called from a cron job, for instance).
    The thing to remember is that a BPEL process presents itself to the outside world as a Web service. If your Java Web service can communicate with other Web services (by sending a message of the appropriate format to the URL of the other Web service), then exactly the same technique can be used to call the BPEL process. You know what the input message has to look like, and you know where the process is located on your network, so set up the Java Web service to send the message to that address.

  • Problem on ADF binding with BPEL process composed as web service

    I have an ADF page which has its own EO, AM and VO (view1), after I created a web service data control for an existing BPEL process and a command button for it, I found in the binding section, the view1 doesn't contain all its table column attributes, all it has is some attributes such as attributeDef, currentRow, error etc. Can you please let me know what is missing here? What I'm trying to do is bind table attributes to BPEL input variables and call the BPEL process.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    if you deployed this to OC4J, open EM
    http://server:port/em
    and get to the Web service. You can execute it from here to see if generally this is working, or if you have a proxy problem only

  • System processes needed for web service call

    Hi experts,
    one theoretical question: how about the system processes needed for a web service call? If have created a test service that does nothing except to wait for 10 seconds. When I call it from outside, no extra process is busy (as seen in trx SM50). Is it possible that one web service call (from outside -> SAP machine) does not need a DIA or BTC process on SAP machine?
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Kind regards, Matthias

    Hi,
    Of course a web service needs a dialog workprocess to run.
    But if you used the "wait" abap instruction, it may be that this instruction frees the work process ?

  • Use web service to invoke a new process execution

    Hello,
    I'm using BPM 10g3, and i'm trying to invoke a fully automated process via a web service
    I've setup my web service http://<host>:<port>/albpmServices/<engine name>/ws/<process name>ServiceListener?wsdl
    I've accessed it from a C# application i wrote and visual studio did identify my functions and such.
    I can successfully start a new session (startSession(string password ,string username) and i get a sessionID back) with the web process.
    but when im trying to invoke my own function (which is defined in the Process web service as a Process Execution on my beginIn parameters) I get a response with a FaultException with no visible error code.
    In the BPM log I can see the folloowing lines:
    1) Invoking service with id:<Process Name>ServiceListener
    2) Executing item: IMMEDIATE Inst [-1, -1,-1] Act [No activity] Proc [No Process] Due 1318860646000000]
    3) TransactionAction: Rollback!
    while the TransactionAction: Rollback! means that something bad happened, i cant see the reason.
    any idea's?

    OK i've got it working.
    I did all the things you suggested before but when you said i need to see that the right activity is being started i understood what's wrong
    The chosen activity must be in a lane with the same role as the user login in to the session.
    So i added a role on Begin and created a participent for that role, logged in with it and now it works =)
    Edit: I'm the same guy that opened the threqad, just needed to make a new user for enterprise support (didn't get to use that though)

  • How to invoke a short lived process using web service start point?

    I have a custom short-lived process that does not take any input parameter. I am able to successfully invoke the process from LiveCycle Workbench ES2. I want this process to be invoked by a java client through a web service call. Apart from the web service URL of my process (which looks like
    http://<server>:<portno>/soap/services/MyApplication/MyProcess?wsdl&lc_version=9.0.0&versi on=1.0) do the java client know anything else? Any authentication is required?
