Inwarsd Inspection - Partial Acceptance

Hi all,
We are doing the Inwards Inspection at MIGO level with 103 movement. At UD I am accpeting only a Partial Quantity by 105 movement. Remaining is returned to Vendor by 124 movement. Both 105 and 124 happens at QA32 UD level. (Automatic).
My client is asking for the Excise Invoice that has to be sent to Vendor so that Vendor will get the Credit for the taxes he paid for the returned qty. ( He would have paid the taxes for the complete quantity and as we have returned partial qty, they should get back the credit from Gov).
To ensure that Vendor receives the Credit back, what are all the documents need to be sent and How?.
Note: As I am doing Inspection at 103 level, no stock is updated with the procurement qty. So in this case, I am returning the goods as if I haven't receive them.
Experts please guide me.
Best Regards
Sam

Thnx Mr.Neeraj.
I have few doubts in the same context. Why Account document should be generated and why Inventory should get updated before the Quality Inspection is over.
Why the reversal of Accounting Entries and reversal of Inventory and all other reversal should takes place unnecessarily, if we could reject the materials at Quality Inspection (103) itself.
Will this not simplify all the process that I have mentioned above.

Sam

  • Source inspection- partially accept

    Dear all,
How to partially accept the source inspection lot.  For example: my source inspection lot size 10 kg I want to accept only 5 kg.
Otherwise how to give the link to GR.(like  5 KG accepted qty)
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vairavan

    Hi Vairavan,
Please make a note that Source inspection is non stock relevant. It has no control over the stock posting. Moreover you'll do the inspection at Vendor premises.
Rather what you can do is accept only 5 kg out of 10 kg in the results recording screen and take UD (like accepted partially) and at the same time change the PO quantity to 5 kg, which will satify your requirement.

  • Source Inspection Partial Qty GR

    Hi Experts,
In Source Inspection Scenario there is a requirement, before GR quality wants to accept partial qty.
Ex: I st case: As per PO qty 10 PCs after inspection 6 accepted and 4 rejected during GR system should allow accepted qty only.
IInd case: As per PO qty 10pcs he will inspect and accept 2 qty and system should allow only for 2 qty not for all 10 qty.
How it is possible kindly explain me
    Inadvance Thanx
    Shiva Patil

    Hi
Its not possible to have partial Qty GR for the source inspection as there is no stock posting screen in the souce inspection.
Either you have to accpet all or reject all

  • SeeBurger Message Splitter State accepted or partially accepted

    Hi,
The requirement is that if we receive an EDI interchange with multiple transaction sets and if some of them are rejected due to EDI data errors, only those transaction sets in error should be ignored for processing and the ones without errors should successfully come to the integration engine.  I suppose this can be achieved by having all our inbound Seeburger splitter configurations in u201CPartially acceptedu201D status.
currently we have set our configurations in accepted state.
Could you please confirm if we change state to partially accepted it wil solve our purpose?

We were using seeburger Adapter and could configure this.
    The scenario is :
When multiple EDI files is being processed in an inbound scenario using EDI separator Channel. ,  If any files fails due to Data /syntax error,
How to identify which file is been failed and how to send error ackn back to sender mentioning the files failed. .

  • Customer Acceptance Can't Process Partial accept/reject

Is the new R12 feature for customer acceptance really must accept or reject a sales order delivery line, and cannot process partial accept / reject?
If so, then this new feature won't matter much i'm afraid.
    Can anyone provide any explanation?
    Thanks,
    Gerry

At first, I imagined that it will have the functionality to accept or reject partial >shipment. The deviation will then be enterred as expected receipt (just as the >RMA receipt would). Upon receiving (querried with the Sales Order number), the >journal created will be Inventory Valuation (material account) against Deferred >COGS. The autoinvoice will pull those that the customer received only (pre-billing >explicit/implicit acceptance). The SO line quantity will be changed with the >quantity that the customer received, and a new line will be created with the >rejected quantity and the status of backordered.I think this logic has a flaw: When you have shipped 10, you have delviery detail for 10 and inventory transaction for 10 (sales order shipment). Hence the accounting is Cr Inventory 1000 (assuming cost is 100) and Dr Deferred COGS 1000. If customer accepts 10 then there is a logical material transaction created for the same and accounting is Cr Deferred COGS 1000 and Dr COGS 1000 and invoice is generated for the order line with whatever is the price of the line.
Instead if the customer accepts only 6?
    1. What happens to the orginial accounting entries? As you can see here, this orginal accounting entry has to be updated to match with the accepted quantity. YOu cannot just create logical entry here as quantity has to be received into inventory which will create entries for the same.
    Sales order shipment
    Cr Inventory 1000
    Dr Deferred COGS 1000
COGS Recognition for only 600 leaves 400 in the deferred COGS.
    Cr Defered COGS 600
    Dr COGS 600
    2. You have to update the trasansaction quantity from 10 to 6 as customer accepted only 6. You cannot just create a logical transaction 4 as there are a number of procedures to be followed when returning goods into invnetory (location, quality control and many other processes).
    3. You have to synch up the delivery details with the accepted quantity and order line quantities need to be synched up with delivery details. Hassel.
You were saying that there is no way to reverse the entry from deferred COGS to >inventory, but with current functionality, should the customer reject partial >shipment, we must create RMA for the whole line, create a new identical >order/line, ship the accepted quantity, and the rejected quantity will be treated >as backordered. Isn't it the same, but with longer manual steps?A lot is industry or company specific. If the customer accepts partial quantities, you will RMA for the partial quantities not the whole quantity and create a new ship line for the partial quantities again (if the customer wants it and rejected because of quality issues). THis all depends on company to company as we do not know why the customer is rejecting in the first place. Returning for quality reasons, returning for good or cannot accept at this time because they have space issues or simply demand is not there. I agree that it is a pain from the invoicing printing perspective (customer is expecting for only 6 but we send it for 10).
Moreover, with current workaround like that, will it impact the sales order history >report? Will it show double sales order, eventhough the revenue will only >recognize one? (no problem for custom report, but I haven't tested the standard >report). There is no double revenue here as you are squaring off original invoice with an RMA.
I am not defending the Oracle's functionality. This is the first step taken in right direction and I am sure there are lot more changes on the way in this area. So for now, this is what it is.

  • During Inprocess Inspection partial qty confirmation

    Hi Experts,
There is a requirement in Inprocess Inspection (for 03) find here the detail.
    Ex: Routing Operations
          010       Machining
          020       Milling
          030       Inspection
          040       Turning
          050       Inspection
          060       End Cut
    Challenges :
    1) Without confirmation of operation 020 system should not allow for result recording.
    2) If partial qty accepted system should allow on those qty for further operation 040 confirmation.
    3) How many operations inspected, accepted qty operation wise, can we get through std
    Kindly suggest
    Thanks
    Shiva Patil

    Go here:
SPRO > Production> Shop floor control> confirmation> define confirmation parameters
    Maintain
1)Operation sequence u2013 error when order sequence is not adhered to
    2) Over delivery u2013 Error when over delivery tolerance is exceeded
    3) Results Rec. (QM)- Error message if no Insp results exist
So what these setting helps is that
1)All operation has to be confirmed operation wise means 0010 has to be confirmed for confirming 0020 operation. SO production guys can only confirm 0040 operations only after 0030 operations is confirmed by quality personal.
2)Over delivery is not allowed means of in 0030 operation if only 50 quantity is confirmed in 0040 operation only 50 can be confirmed. Production people cannot confirm more than 50 quantities
    3) Also PP personal cannot confirm operation 0030 through C011N till the result recording of that operation is done through QA32.
    Hope this helps to start.
    Thanks!!!

  • Partial quality inspection & partial usage decision?

    Hello Friends
Inspection lot is created when GR is done against purchase order, in normal case result is recorded for whole lot and usage decision is made partially / fully.
Say business want to inspect (record result) only 50 pieces and want to do usage decision of 50 pieces immediately and again want to inspect (record result) another 50 pieces of same lot and want to do the usage decision u2026u2026u2026u2026how to do it?
As per my knowledge once inspection is done & usage decision is done system stops to inspect that lot again.
Looking for your valuable input as soon as possible.
    Thanks & Regards
    Swanad

    hi
inspect (record result) only 50 pieces and want to do usage decision of 50 pieces immediately and again want to inspect (record result) another 50 pieces of same lot and want to do the usage decision
For result recording to be done for  qunatity In control indicator of each char tick on long term Inspection.
This will allow you to do RR after UD has taken.
For UD to be done Partially means stock posting partially ...
You can create a UD code(AP) & in customization do not post it automatically.
Then You can only post 50 Qty initially with UD -AP
then for rest of the  qty in QA32 select those lots with UD & stock post rest of the items when you carry out RR for rest of 50 .
    This is the solution

  • QM in procurement - Inspect partial quantity

    Hello all,
In our incoming quality process we have the following requirement: when we do the GR we want only part of the lot to be put in quality stock. The rest should go to unrestricted use.
Samples don't seem to cover this requirement.
Do have any idea on how to solve this issue?
    Thanks!
    Isabelle

No.  There is not a standard way to do what you want to do.
If you want all the material to go to unrestricted inventory anyway, and you don't consume the material in testing, why does it matter if the sample qty shows in the QI stock anyway?  Your sampling procedure should indicate the amounts/numbers needed for testing and the sample drawing procedures can be printed out for reference. This information is also readily available in various screens so a tech can easily see the qtys required.
If you really want to get it to QI you can try to work the system in two ways.
First, specify that all material go to unrestricted inventory in the settings for the inspeciton type.  Then you can try one of these two.
    1) Create a sampling procedure such that you allocate x amount of product to destructive testing. (i.e control indicators on at least one test indicate destructive testing)
    2) Specify a qty for reserve samples.
I'm not sure exactly how the system will behave in these cases with the bulk of the material going directly to unrestricted as I have never had to try it!
In case one, the system will want to consume the material and might not allow you to post it on the stock posting screen. (Don't know if you'll even have this screen available since it all went to unrestricted, but it might since there is a chance you don't destroy all the sample)
In case two, again, I'm not sure if you'll have the stock posting screen or not.  If you do, you can maybe post the material to stock instead of reserves at this point.
Let us know how you make out.

  • Quality Inspection in EWM - Partly accepted scenario

    Hello Everyone
I need help regarding partially accepted scenario. For example out of 10 Cases/Item XYZ of qty 10, 4 are good and remaining 6 are not good. Business wants to accept only those 4 and return remaining 6. In this scenario, how do we configure the follow up actions? Do we get item/quantity wise updates form ECC? I have maintained quality score 50 against decision and assigned below PTWP action to it. Whenever that decision code was used in ECC, it is properly updating inspection document in EWM. But EWM, is making the 100% qty as Accepted with follow up action PTWP.
    1.      Do we need results recording in ECC for this scenario?
    2.      Do we need to implement any BADI to select which Case/Item can be accepted/rejected?
    3.      Is HU mandatory for performing QI in EWM?
In the EWM system, I could not configure more than 1 follow up action for a decision code.
    Thanks
    Sasidhar Gupta

    Hi Amit
check this thread Inspection lot is not getting created in ECC if you want to do inspection in ECC. or if you are planning to do inspection in EWM alone, just leave external system related configs.
    thanks

  • Based upon UD Code Inspection lot stock Posting will be done How?

    QM Experts,
While doing Quality confirmation at UD stock posting I have the following Reqirements.
    1. Accepted:  If UD Accepted then disable all field except Unrestricted Use.
    2. Rejected: If UD Rejected then disable the Unrestricted use and enable Scrap, Blocked and Return Delivery.
    3. Partially Accepted: All the Posting field can be enabled.
This is to ensure that no manual error occur while Stock posting.
I suggested to use User Exit QEVA0001 but ABAPer can't able to Break Point the User Exit. Is there any other solution to achieve this req.?. Will be greatful.
    Regards,
    Ramakrishnan.A

    Dear Ramakrishna,
As NehSap said, its better to stick to the business...
This is to ensure that no manual error occur while Stock posting.
Even if there are manual errors, you can correct and Re-post the stock later.
I suggest you to Use QA32 or customize new report, which will show you the UD, and stock.
so that quality department can check this report daily, they will check their Usage decisions and Stock postings.
if they found any Manual error, they can correct it
    I hope, this helps you.

    Amol

  • UD for partial lot in QM

    Dear QM masters,
We are having Partial lot for inprocess inspection lot. Can we have UD for each partial lot generated with Inspection Point? And if yes then how it can be done, what settings are required for this?
    Thanks in advance for help.
    Regards,
    Devang

    Hi,
To inspect partial lots, you must assign inspection characteristics to your operations in the master recipe or process order. You must then link the master inspection characteristics to general characteristics that you used to classify your material.
If your material is to be handled in batches, you can assign individual batch numbers to the partial lots when you record results in QM.

  • Quality Intergrtion with other Modules

    Dear Gurus,
I have activated quality inspection for all the incoming raw material.
GRN is carried out in two step i.e.103+105. At 105 inspections lot are generated.
    1.     When the Material is accepted what is effect on the MM+FI Module?
    2.     When the Material is rejected (Moved to Block stock) what is effect on the MM+FI or other module?
    3.     Can I block the payment to vendor due to Quality Reason?
    Regards
    Shoib

    Dear Gurus,
    Thank for the Replying.
    I am having small clarification.
    1. When the Material is accepted what is effect on the MM+FI Module?
*At 105 MM+FI Documents are getting updated,But when i accept move to Unrestricted Stock at the back end  321movt for this mvt type what is the Effect on MM+FI*
    2. When the Material is rejected (Moved to Block stock) what is effect on the MM+FI or other module?
When i Reject stock is moved to Block Stock 350 for the what is effect on MM+FI.
    3. Can I block the payment to vendor due to Quality Reason?
*Can i make Automatic Payment Block for 2 step Movement Type i,e at 105*
    4. Can i make the payment on the basis of Quantity accepted from Quality Department
    ( eg  When lot is partially accepted 100kg =60kg Accepted + 40Rejected )?
    A waiting for Reply...!

  • Quality Score in Vendor Rating

    Dear Sir/Mam
I want to know about quality score which comes in Usage decision,Now in our case when inspection lot is generated we have only one case if accepted the quality score is 100 and when rejected 1,but our requriment is we want different quality score,i maintained different score in selected set,my concern whether this quality score has impact on vendor evaluation score( for quality criteria),how it is calculated please guide.
    Regards
    Kunal
Edited by: kunal joshi on Mar 26, 2009 6:07 AM

    Dear Kunal
Quality  score are maintained for quantitative valuation of the quality of inspection lots against a vendor, material , customer
    1) They have to be first maintained in the client level setting
SPRO > QM> Maintain settings at client level> You need to maintain the highest quality score (100) and lowest quality score (1) system doesnt take 0. also Lower limit for good quality (90)
    2) it is maiinly used in the selected sets for usage decision
QS51/ 03 catalogs for each UD code you can give a Quality score. So while you are giving UD system picks up this score and update the same for inspection lot , material, vendor, customer as applicable.
You can give 100 as quality score for clean acceptance, 1 for complete rejection, may be 50 for partial acceptance etc.
for eg you can maintain your UD selected sets like this Code, Description and UD score
    001     Clean Acceptance     A Accepted (OK)     100
002     Accepted subject to Rework     R Rejected (not OK)     50
003     Accepted with deviation     R Rejected (not OK)     70
004     Accepted after segregation (Partial qty)     R Rejected (not OK)     60
    005     Rejected     R Rejected (not OK)     1
006     Accepted subject to functional test     A Accepted (OK)     100
007     UD Changed due to line rejection     R Rejected (not OK)     30
008     UD changed due to problem at Customer     R Rejected (not OK)     1
    009     Subcontract return - ABB     A Accepted (OK)     100
010     Auto UD for Skip Lot     A Accepted (OK)     100
