Inx file from cs2 cant be saved on cs1

I have a file created from CS2 *.inx. File size is 2.5MB. I can open the file in cs1, but can save. It hangs there. CS2 in on powermac G5, 10.3 and cs1 in on emac G4 os 10.3.
I just started to supporting Mac. Im new in this area. Im more in to windows platform. One of my friends said there is s a pulgin which may have corrupted. I cant seem to find that pulgin.
Anyone can help me

Will CS re-export the file as .inx? If so, perhaps that's a path to getting a workable file.

Opening RAW File from Lightroom is automatically saving a PSD or TIFF. How to turn this off?

I recently upgraded to LightroomCC and Photoshop CC however now when I go to open my RAW files from lightroom it is automatically saving a PSD copy when the file is opened. I don't want it to do that because I don't need those files - for some of my stuff I just need to open the file, edit, and save a jpg when done. This was not a feature on the older version of Lightroom and I can't find any place to turn this off.

Transferring files from CS2 to 2.0.2

is this possible? I have 2.0.2 and someone sent me an inx file created by CS2 but it won't open.

Can't be done. InDesign 2 cannot open any file created by a later version.

I have InDesign CS3 and I need to get a file to someone with CS1. I can export as an interchange file that can be opened in CS2, but the problem is I don't have CS2. Can some kind person please take my CS3 INX file, open it in CS2 and then re-export it as an INX interchange file so that my collegue can open it in CS1?

Your collegue needs to make sure his copy of InDesign CS is updated to 3.0.1 or whatever is the latest version of CS.
I found this info online:
InDesign CS requires the InDesign CS 3.0.1 April 2005 (CS2 Compatibility Update) to open INX files created in InDesign CS2.
InDesign CS may crash if you open an INX file and the correct update isn't installed, or if the InDesign CS2 document that created the INX file contains missing links or problematic third party plug-in data.
InDesign CS may crash when links are broken and Color Management is enabled. If the links are active (that is, not broken) you should be able open INX files in InDesign CS with Color Management enabled.

No, Lightroom is not a Photoshop plugin. However, ACR3.7 will respect the Lightroom adjustments if you've saved them to XMP, so you'll get the same resulting effect.

Those PDFs are only accessible on the Mac.
They can not even be accessed by iOS.

Downloading image files from the server and saving them on local disk

You could also create a class that includes the event handler function and includes the code for loading the data. Then create a new instance of that class for each URL.

Can't open .inx files in CS3 that were created in CS2

I am presented with a message..
'Indesign.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
This happens when I open a .inx file from it's location by double clicking on it and also if I open CS2 and use the file>open route...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bear in mind that when you open a CS2 .inx with CS3 (assuming that it works), there is no information about the CS2 composition in the file, so CS3 composes everything. Thus, you might well see reflow that you won't see if you just open a CS2 file with CS3.
On the other hand, if you do open a CS2 .indd with CS3 with the intention of doing further work on it, be prepared for that reflow to suddenly happen the moment you start trying to edit any text.
This is actually a good argument for going the .inx route in the first place -- all surprises of layout and composition hit you in the face immediately rather than happening hapharzardly as you work with the document.
You could use the Document Reflow command (Ctrl + Alt + /) after opening the .indd to get the composition changes over with in one swell foop.

it is my understanding that to open an .inx file from CS3 in CS it must first be opened and exported as an .inx in CS2. Correct? If so, is there anyone out there with CS2 who would be willing to export a file for me? I greatly appreciate your help!

Correct. Downgrading a document is generally a bad idea -- you have no control over what gets converted and what gets to be left out. I, for one, have never ever used it, so for my part Adobe could have spared them the headache and left the entire function out.
(I did enjoy creating new documents from scratch, writing an INX and importing that. Sadly, IDML -- its Next Gen successor -- is too complicated for a quick-and-dirty job.)

Creating INDD file from INX and visa versa

My task is to create a inx file from indd file and that was easy. I just use

but my problem is that I now have a more that one INDD file and one INDB file and client ask me to make INX file from it.

I'm a designer not a developer, so I'm not sure I'll be helping but the normal behavior when opening an INX file is creates an untitled .indd file. This is is typical. I'm not sure how you would automatically rename back to what it was previously. Have you tried packaging the indd file BEFORE you make the INX file? Also InDesign has the ability to embed the images in the file or link them to external files. You might check to see if that is done, by checking the links pallet. Unfortunately I'm not following what you're starting goal and end goal is. I'll be helpless with the programming end, but any questions regarding how InDesign would typically do it, I'm happy to help with. Reading .CS2 files from Canon EOS 40D to Photoshop.CS Ver. 8.0

I have take pictures of a painting with a Canon EOS 40D for future printing onto canvas for resale.
I have Photoshop.CS version 8.0 which is not able to read the .cs2 files ("Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document")
I downloaded Camera_RAW_3.7.zip (Camera Raw.8bi - Jan. 30,2007) from Adobe and put it in the c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\File Formats directory
I tried accessing the .cs2 files with the same results. (Note: there was also an old Camera Raw.8BI (Oct. 13,2003) file in the c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\File Formats directory which I removed to another directory)
I then downloaded, installed an Adobe DNG Converer 9.0 and converted the images files from .cs2 to .dns.
I tried accessing the .dns files with Photoshop.CS version 8 with no success: ("Could not complete your request because this version of Photoshop does not supply the services required by this plug-in module")
Any other ideas?
We need to prepare this image soon with Photoshop.CS to have it printed on canvas for sale to a customer.

First of all, photoshop cs can only use up to camera raw 2.4, so you need to remove all the other camera raw 8bi plugins and install the camera raw 2.4 plugin for photoshop cs.
(you can only have one Camera Raw.8bi plugin in the photoshop plugins folder or photoshop doesn't know which one to use)
Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows : Camera Raw 2.4 update
The Camera Raw.8bi should go in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\File Formats (64 bit windows system)
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\File Formats (32 bit windows system)
Then you can use the dngs you converted using adobe dng converter 9.0 in photoshop cs.
It's possible you may have to set the compatibility in the dng converter Preferences to Camera Raw 2.4 and later when converting the canon 40d files to dng in order for photoshop cs to read them.

Format issue with transfer from Cs2 to Cs5.5

I transferred my InDesign files from CS2 to a new computer with CS5.5 and the formatting is all off when attempting to print. All the print settings appear to be the same on both computers but the image in Cs5.5 is way over to the left and top side of the paper. Yikes! Any suggestions?

Cant move files from previous saved CD to desktop or anyplace else

Help -- I cant move files from previous saved CD to desktop or anyplace else
I don't know when this started but it was two days ago I noticed this. I have changed all the permissions in info to allow me to have read write access to all my hardrives(2) which are both segmented. May have started when I put in the second HD and now I have three systems installed.
I did erase the com.apple.recentitems.plist -- which did not do anything.
I was able to send a copy of the file from my CD via iCHat with no problem.
Originally it would not allow me to move any files even on the harddrives. Not it seem related to the CD's

this was related to Leopard refusing to give me administrative rights
