IO discontinued when one of the storage was down, anybody know what's wrong?
I encountered this issues using the Max OS X with the ATTO HBA cards and multipath.
We used two port of the HBA which was connected to one controller of the storage. And we mapped serveral LUNS to the Mac server.That means there were two active paths between the server and the storage.
Yesterday , one of storage controller which had IO on it was down accidently. And the IO on the volume can't continue until the controller was up.
Why did this happen? We had multipath, we want to know why the IO didn't switch to another path.

Make sure all apps are fully closed:
- double tap your home button
- hold your finger on an app
- when the apps start to wiggle press the red "-" button on all the apps
Now do a hard reset:
- hold the home button and the sleeps/wake button down at the same time
- the phone will shut off then when the apple logo ppears release both buttons
If by then your contacts have not been restored you would need to try and retreive them from a back up on itunes/icloud that was made when the contacts were on the phone. You could even stream them from the cloud if they were synced to the cloud. The link beow will show you how to restore from an itunes/icloud back up:

does anybody know what is wrong with the ipod when error 1437 is reportedduring the restore cycle?
Double check the connections on each end to make sure they are nice and snug. If possible, plug the Nano into another existing USB 2.0 port.
Also, with the iPod still connected, try resetting it. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons (or the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons on the 6G Nano) long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Then try restoring the iPod again.

I have been trying to create a multicam clip from two camera's. They sync properly when using the sync feature but not when I use the multicam feature does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?
Probably best if you could post screen shots of the Inspecror window in extended view with a couple of the clips you using for the 2 angles.
If you have audio from both cameras and have identified them separately, the sync is usually pretty reliable.

Behavior when one of the instance is down

We have a reporting server(IBM Cognos BI) using Oracle RAC as the data warehouse. Cognos uses OCI to communicate with Oracle database(Oracle client is installed with the cognos server machine). Cognos only issues SELECT statements to the database.
This is our tnsnames.ora file looks like

As to TYPE=SELECT, it is said that if the instance on which the select statement is being executed is down, one of the available oracle instances will take over as nothing has happened. The failover is transparent to the application(Cognos). http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_oramag_rac_taf.htm
But when we manually shutdown an instance , we did not see the result as expected while get the following:
ORA-25402: transaction must roll back
Cause: A failure occured while a transaction was active on this connection.
Action: The client must roll back.
So, it looks like if application wants to take the advantage of this functionality, the application must be modified to do something related to transaction termination, Right? If so, like a product as Cognos, not a project, it could not do things specific to a particular database.
Any suggestion is welcome.

FAST CONNECTION FAILOVER
Fast Connection Failover (FCF) is a packaged implementation of FAN included in Oracle Application Server 10g. In the event of a failure, it will act on the FAN event, clean up stale connections, and pass the notification to the application as a SQL exception. The application can then retry the connection and replay the transaction. It works with JDBC connection pools, and is not dependent on OCI or TAF. Thus, you can use FCF with both the thin JDBC driver as well as the thick (OCI) JDBC driver. Oracle does not recommend the use of both TAF and FCF with the same application. -
My ipod got a little wet but it wasnt that bad. none of the inside was wet really and the red dot hasnt appeared.........i was wondering if there is something else wrong with it because it keeps pausing when i dont do anything to it
As a precaution I would dry the iPod by:

After it is dry I would try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
For a nano the drying still applies

I have an iPhone 5S, I charged it this morning and after that I noticed that it had two problems:
1- It detects and connects to wi-fi but has no internet connection (it´s not a problem with the Wi-Fi because it works OK)
2- The bottom and the sides of the screen started twinkling, it lookes like the distortions that appear when you touch a plasma screen.

For the past two days I cannot access my kindle books on my ipad. I might be able to get one page of a book to appear but then it freezes and I can't turn the page. I tried turning my ipad completely off and then on again. Any ideas to fix this?

Help! My iPhone 5 has recently started to "die" at about 20 or 30% battery depending on where I am or how cold it is (i.e.it doesnt seem to die as fast with Wifi in my apartment but will drain so quickly and die at 40% battery life when i am at work. So today, my battery died at 56% YES 56%!!! GRRRRR. I have tried everything online articles tell you to do in order to conserve battery life. Also, our chargers have all gone caput this past week. I believe it is the adaptor as when the cord plugs into the computer it will charge. WT? All our apple products have gone berzurk this last week and I beg for an answer!! The phone is over one year old, along with one charger. But the other TWO chargers were purchased recently and they all stopped this week. Any guidance or help with fixing this the most cost effective way would be much appreciated!
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
Everything that cames in the box is included in the 1year warranty, unfortunately you're just outside of that warranty. Regardless, if the above troubleshooting does not resolve, take the device to Apple and they can determine if the issue is the device, the charger(s) or something else. -
Where has the find duplicates function gone in the new iTunes? It use to be in a drop down task bar menu in the old versions but i can't find it in the latest.

Try resetting the iPad first. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Let go when you see the Apple logo and let the iPad restart.

attempted to mail an email with a large attachment file. One of the addresses was bad. When my Outlook is running, the Mac tries to send it and shows the progress. However, when I look in my Outbox the files are not there. It does show up in the Outbox progress section but I can not delete it when it is there.
Where do these files reside?
