IO6 upgrade app difficulties - Germany vs. US update location

I bought my Ipad in the US but installed the IO6 software while living at my current home in Germany.  Now when I go to the app store to download updates to the apps I get a german message saying something to the effect that I can't download the apps in the German app store and have to go the American store.  But I have no idea how to do this.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I really hate "updates" sometimes.

I'm in Kuwait and my account also has valid Kuwait address still I get the error. This morning I got error saying m not allowed to use Saudi store. I have emailed apple support seems like they do not hv any solution for this. Even spoke to them she said the problem is in the device which cannot b as all 4 Apple product I have have this issue. Even few of my friends r havin same issue.

  • Yosemite UPGRADE, Apps that I try to update fail with the message that connection to App Store failed, then i get a message that the updates were purchased by another user ID or purchase cancelled. All five updates have this error

AFTER I UPGRADED TO YOSEMITE, I TRIED TO UPDATE THE FIVE APPS THAT I WAS BEING NOTIFIED NEEDED UPGRADING (IMOVIE, IPHOTO ETC). I TRIED TO UPDATE VIA THE APP STORE BUT GOT A MESSAGE "UPGRADE NOT POSSIBLE WITH THIS APPLE ID BECAUSE IT WAS EITHER BOUGHT BY A DIFFERENT USER OR THE ITEM WAS REFUNDED OR CANCELLED." I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM SIGNING ON TO ICLOUD OR ANY OF THE OTHER SERVICES USING MY APPLE ID, I ALSO CHANGED THE PASSWORD AT THE PROMPTING. SO I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT MEANS. WHAT CAN I DO TO UPDATE MY APPLICATIONS?

Please test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes. Keep in mind that no one here represents Apple or can help with customer-service issues.
    Step 1
A purchased app can only be updated by signing in to the App Store with the same Apple ID that was originally used to buy it. There's no way around that limitation, which also applies to free apps. If you can't sign in with the buyer's ID, delete the app and reinstall it. You'll have to pay for it again, if applicable.
    Step 2
If you get the alert when trying to update a bundled iLife app, select the Purchases page in the App Store and locate the app in your purchase history. If there's a button marked ACCEPT on the right, click it.
If you have a used Mac, the bundled apps were linked to the original owner's Apple ID and can't be transferred to you. Reportedly, customer service has issued redemption codes to some second owners who asked, but it's not guaranteed.
    Step 3
If you're trying to update iLife or iWork apps that were installed from a purchased DVD, or if you have a refurbished Mac bought directly from Apple, contact App Store customer service for a redemption code. You may be asked for the part number of the DVD.
    Step 4
From the App Store menu bar, select
              Store ▹ View My Account
Enter your Apple ID password at the prompt. At the lower right corner of the window that opens, click the Reset button. Close the window.
    Step 5
According to a report, the error can result from changing the language setting of your Apple ID account. I can't confirm.

  • IPad 1 cannot upgrade to io6, but apps want me to upgrade to make them compatible with 6 - should I refuse the updates?

iPad 1 cannot upgrade to io6, but apps want me to upgrade to make them compatible and streamlinedwith 6 - should I refuse the updates?  They don't say if they'll still run in an ios5 platform and I can't afford a new iPad if these upgrades make the iPad apps unusable on this machine. Thanks for any assistance!

Having the same issue here. I unfortunately purchased a book on iTunes, then went to download iBooks, but can't due to their recent update/upgrade.  My kids iTouchs are all 6.1.5 , So I'm guessing that if you did not have iBooks previously purchased that you are now S.O.L. if you want to read a book on your iPod??
I am rather frustrated that I spent money on a book that they can't read.
Is there another app that will let them read it?

  • My iPhone3GS running iOS5 has recently been reluctant to upgrade Apps. The App store asks for my password and then marks all the Apps as being updated. Often only one or none actually update. Usually I get a message saying "Unable to download application"

My iPhone3GS running iOS5 has recently been reluctant to upgrade Apps. The App store asks for my password and then marks all the Apps as being updated. Often only one or none actually update. Usually I get a message saying "Unable to download application" and "<app> could not be downloaded at this time - Done or Retry".
It's not an iTunes login / password issue because sometimes one or two of the Apps will download and the others stall with the blank progress bar. The internet connection is working fine in all other respects.
Sometimes, many restarts later the downloads will complete. Is this a known bug? Is Apple working on it? Any fixes?

  • Apps will not install or update, after IOS6 upgrade

After upgrading to IOS6, whenever I try to install or update an App, it says "waiting..." underneath its icon and has a completely empty status bar.  And never moves.  I had 8 apps that have been stuck that way for hours - all trying to update when I did an "update all" from the app store the first time after upgrading.
So I tried powering off/on the phone.  I tried resetting the phone (holding home and power button together).  I deleted all the affected apps.  And now I am attempting to reinstall just one.  And it is stuck.  Help?

The solution that worked for me was to identify the apps that were stuck updating, and then find them on my iPhone.  (You can't search for them, you have to find their icon on your iPhone's desktop.)  Then I deleted those apps.  Then I went back to the App store, and they downloaded/updated like normal.  I did the same thing for the same problem on my iPad, and that also worked.
    Best of luck to everyone.

  • I have a 4th gen ipod touch.  Since I won't be able to upgrade to 7, should I not update apps?

I have a 4th gen iPod Touch.  Since I won't be able to upgrade to iOS7, should I avoid updating apps?  The app update notices I am receiving state the updates are to be compatible with iOS7.

The iPod will prevent you from install apps and app updates that require iOS7. Recently that have been problems with 4G iPod giving a bade indicating that update were available but when you went to the update section of the App Store app no updates were listed. That was due to an error on Apple's parts since the app updates were only compatible with iOS 7.

If the machine was upgraded to Lion 10.7.x by the original owner then you bought an illegal license of Lion and also of any other applications that the seller  said came pre-installed, this assumes the seller did not include original install media. In that case you need to contact the seller for the original install DVDs that came with the machine re-install up to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and then purchase Mountain Lion ($20) and the applications you want or need. If the seller cannot come up with the original install discs then you can buy them from a nominal cost from AppleCare..

I am an Aperture user and I am tired of managing my old iphoto library seperately. In order to use the new combined aperture/iphoto abilities i need a newer version of iphoto. Apple says that the new iphoto is free, however my iphoto (version 8.1.2) did not update. How do i update iphoto so that i can use the library with Aperture?

iPhoto, iMovie and Garageband are free. However, you must be running Mavericks in order to download and use them. Mavericks is free also.  Therefore your Mac must be capable of running Mavericks:
The following is from: Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mavericks.
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
iWork is not as it's an upgrade and not an update. Upgrades for iWork have always had to be purchased. However, the previous iWork apps will work fine with Mavericks.

  • TS3276 Just upgraded to Lion;Mail won't update to Lion

When opening Mail, it's asking me to wait while it sets up. The bar shows it updating but it never completes the update/set up. IdeaS?

If your iPhoto version was iPhoto 7 (08) before you upgraded to Yosemite then you need to download and run/apply the upgrade application to your iPhoto Library before iPhoto 9.6 can open it.  Had you run the upgrade app?

  • How to upgrade App World?

I have a Torch 9800 with BB 6. When I try to install an app through App World it says:
"To continue using BlackBerry App World, you must upgrade your current version. For more information, please visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/support"
There I found this article saying that
"You can download the BlackBerry App World storefront or manually update your existing version of the BlackBerry App World storefront by visiting www.mobile.blackberry.com from your device"
    http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/47218/1232110.jsp
If I visit that website, there's a link to download BlackBerry App World, but it takes me to
    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/
So, please, how can I upgrade the App World app?

That screen tells you nothing about the status of the Mobile Network radio being on or off...it merely tells you the state of what it "sees" and is configured to do. But that screen does not control the Mobile Network radio itself. Rather, there should be a tic box (or similar) on the Manage Connections screen itself, before you get into the detail screen that you quote here.
Sorry I can't give you precise instructions...I don't have an older device like yours, and as such have a newer OS and things are quite different.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Can't upgrade app from AIR 1 to AIR 2 because pubid is blank

We've upgraded our Flex SDK 3.1 + AIR 1 application to Flex SDK 4.1 + AIR 2, using the same build script that automates the use of ADT to build the AIRI/AIR files using the same PFX file.
The installer, however, does not attempt to upgrade the previous application but instead install a new application. From the installer logs, I can see the problem is that the pub id is blank for the AIR 2-generated installer.
    Original installer:
    [2010-08-02:11:19:51] app id <appid>
    [2010-08-02:11:19:51] pub id <GUID>.1
    Updated installer:
    [2010-08-02:11:21:46] app id <appid>
    [2010-08-02:11:21:46] pub id <BLANK>
Any idea why this might be happening? Does the pub id have to be specified explicitly as part of the AIR 2 SDK?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Richard

You do in fact need to specify your publisherID explicity when you update to 1.5.3 or higher
    http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/air/1_5_3/releasenotes_developers.html#newfe at
If you have an existing AIR application, then you should take the following steps to make this transition:
Determine your application's current publisher ID. In an installed application, this is found in the META-INF/AIR/publisherid file.
Add a <publisherID></publisherID> element in your descriptor, and copy your publisher ID into it.
Update your application's namespace to 1.5.3.
The value you want in the <publisherID> tag is what you describe as "<GUID>.1" from your logs (although it isn't actually a guid). You want the whole value including the ".1"; it should be 42 character long in total. Once you make that change the new app should be able to update the old one

  • What is "error code 1004" wen I try to upgrad apps my iPad?

What is "error code 1004" wen I try to upgrad apps my iPad?

This may help resolve that error 1004 issue.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear history, cookies and data. Restart the iPad. Hold the sleep button until the red slider bar appears and slide it to the right to shut down. Then hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears on the screen to start up.
Try to update your apps now.

  • Since IOS 7.1 upgrade, app crashes

Never had this problem before upgrading to IOS 7.1. I have an Iphone 5c.
Since upgrade, when I open my match.com app, and choose the button for 'More' information, the app totally shuts down and goes back to home screen.
    Can anyone address this?

That's because the app has not released an update for iOS 7.1
Once the app maker releases an update, it will work fine.
