Iomega i ScreenPlay Director doesn't connect to TV

I can connect the iomega to my macbook and use it well as a simple hard drive. The problem is I can't connect it to my TV and use it as a Screen Play, like it should do. What does it mean? It never worked before and I kind of let the time go by but now I really want to see it work.

What happens when you connect the ScreenPlay to your TV?
You may need to change the TV Standard setting for your location. Please try the following:
First, make sure that all connections are firmly in place from the ScreenPlay Director to your TV or receiver.
Second, point the remote control directly at the front of the ScreenPlay Director and press and release the TV SYS key.
Wait a few seconds for the television to adjust to the setting change.
Repeat until the ScreenPlay Director menu displays properly.
This will change the TV Standard, Video Output, and Resolution settings. Once you identify the settings you need, use the Setup menu to configure the correct settings.
TV Standard Settings:
NTSC-Used in the United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, etc.
PAL-Used in most European countries, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, and parts of Africa and the Middle East.
For the proper settings for Video Output and Resolution, consult the manual that came with your TV.

my exported HD movies (.mov or mp4) cannot be read by the Screenplay Director from Iomega. The driver of this SPD is a kind of Windows media player I guess. I tried already several formats, but or there is no sound, or there is no image, or the image is not HD.

I guess there is no solution for its compatibility.

Unfortunately the screenplay director update file does not function as a recovery utility. If you are not able to access the menu interface the update file will be useless.
I recommend checking further in the user forums here and other places online to see if there may be any way to load the firmware or alternate firmware to the unit.
Worst case, the unit can continue to be used but only as a external hard drive.

[SOLVED] NetworkManager doesn't connect Wifi at boot

Hi all,
I am again here with a new problem.
I setup my arch box to boot into console where i login and do startx to open DE.
The problem is, NetworkManager doesn't connect to WiFi on boot.
However it is working absolutely fine under DE (KDE). As soon as DE opens, KdeWallet ask for password and then WiFi connected.
But i want to connect to WiFi in console (without X). It is quite annoying to fire DE just to do a wget.
I checked, NetworkManager service is enabled and running.

Hi since no one else was able to help yet I will share this which I see from the Wiki:
Once the NetworkManager daemon is started, it will automatically connect to any available "system connections" that have already been configured. Any "user connections" or unconfigured connections will need nmcli or an applet to configure and connect.
Do you have system level connections defined with the necessary keys as opposed to just user connections? Sorry I don't have specifics as on my laptop I always just used the kde applet and my desktop is wired.
edit: to add if you have the authentication info stored in your wallet I don't think networkmanager has any way to get to it until you start KDE. I could be wrong. Look for another way to define it at the system level perhaps? Just a guess.

IPhone 5 doesn't connect to iTunes, although I just synchronized my iPhone 3.

I just bought an iPhone 5 and would like to sync with content from iPhone 3. When configurating the iPhone, I chose the option to connect to iTunes. However, it was impossible to click on File/ synchronize iPhone, as it was greyed out!
As I wanted to use it straight off, I had to chose the configuration option "use as new device" (or similar).
How do I sync with iTunes now? It still doesn't connect to my iTunes account.

Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

My Ipad doesn't connect to wifi while all other devices are connected.

My iPad doesn't connect to wifi anymore while all other devices in the same network are connected including iPod.
iPad was connected this morning, but quit connecting since this afternoon.
It tries to connect, but everytime connects, it disconnect within a second, and it keep doing the same thing.
This is the first time ever I see this problem since I started using this iPad.

Have you ever checked to see if there is an update for your router? If yes, then power off router. Then on iPhone go into settings and do a reset network settings. Power router back on, and try connecting phone to router.

My mac doesn't connect to my home network by default

My computer doesn't connect to my Airport basestation by default. The WiFi at the top bar is not connected, if I click on the WiFi symbol I see my connection and 2 of my neighbors, but none are connected by default. I always have to manually select my basestation. When I open Safari for the 1st time I get a "not connected to the Internet" type error. When I click diagnose and walk through the steps of selecting my location and basestation it connects without an issue.
I've gone into the System Preferences and tried to create a new location, but no luck. When I look in System Preferences and click into 'Advanced' my network is the only one listed in the Preferred Networks window. Why does it not connect by default. If I restart the computer I have to manually select my network again.

Have you tried deleting the SSID in the Preferred Networks section and then reentering it?

I'm having the same problem, my brand new Ipod shuffle isn't recognized by my pc, or Itunes. I have tried everything suggested in troubleshooting. Did I just waste $50 on something that doesn't work? I'm afraid if I send the Ipod back for another one I will have the same problem. Any suggestions ?

ITunes doesn't connect to the store (no error message, just blank page)

Hi everyone! I'm having troubles with my iTunes for windows XP. It doesn't connect to the music store, it doesn't display any error message and the loading bar stops to a half and then iTunes remains with the blank page, going no further. Google apps doesn't connect using exchange option in mail while on 3G

Hello,
I have been using google apps for over two years and it has been working perfectly on my iPhone. I set up my email using the exchange option and its been running without incident. I also have my gmail setup using exchange and it too has been working fine for years. About 2 months ago I had my iPhone 5 replaced by apple under warranty and on the new device I was no longer able to setup my gmail using exchange. I then read that google stopped supporting exchange for new iOS devices. However, my google apps account continued to work perfectly until a few days ago. It suddenly stopped connecting to my account. I did a few experiments and noticed that it works perfectly when connected via wifi or on Edge but not on 3G. It's strange that it just doesn't connect on 3G. To troubleshoot I deleted the account and added it again but that didn't solve the problem. I also restored the phone but that didn't help either. Finally I changed my SIM card and that didn't help too.
Does anyone have any idea why this is and how I can solve this issue?
