The app store is the only legitimate place to get any apps at all for iOS. You can look, but most developers dropped support for iOS 3 and the original iPhone quite some time ago.

I have an iPhone 4. I connect it to a car audio system (JVC) which has A2DP support. This morning, I tried to play music from the spotify client to the car audio, but the music kept playing on the iPhone instead. I tried looking for the AirPlay button but it was nowhere to be found, even though the system was connected to a A2DP-capable system. I went to Music, and to other apps, and none of those showed the AirPlay button even though the Bluetooth icon was on (connected).
Yesterday I was able to play music through the car audio bluetooth system, so there is definitely something wrong going on with iOS5. I will try deleting the pairing and re-pairing, and see if that fixes the issue, but I think there's something else going on.

I would like to know what exactly does that mean?
What are the enhancements I can leverage and how can I do it?
Does it apply only for building Native Extensions?

You are right. For the most part, it applies to Native Extensions. However, it may apply to some other use cases, e.g. you can now create apps which can use the high resolution display for the new iPad, without having to use the platformsdk switch.

Adding IOS Device on My Support, serial number is registered to another Apple ID

I bought a second iPhone and it is unlocked and i can upgrade IOS. iCloud is connected. How can i add this iPhone to My Support. I get this Message:
According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID? Find out.

I had the same issue. The phone is still registered to the previous owner under his/her Apple ID account at "https://supportprofile.apple.com/" Your will need to contact him/her to get it un-registered.

IOS-XRv and HSRP: Supported?

I'm building a virtual lab within a KVM hypervisor, and it includes 2 XRv images tied together across a VM switch image (Arista vEOS, but that's unimportant). The L2 connectivity is clearly there between the two routers:

So after all of that: should I expect HSRP to be fully supported with XRv? Or, like the L2 interfaces that are fully configurable, is it something that isn't supported? Did I, perhaps, forget to enable some bit within the XRv's config?

In order to get redundancy to run between two SLB switches, you need to configure HSRP between the two VLAN interfaces and then associate the standby name with the Cisco IOS SLB Virtual Server (Vserver). When using IOS SLB in an HSRP environment ensure that the active HSRP router (also active for IOS SLB) is receiving the return traffic for the IOS SLB connections.

I can see many versions of IOS that can support MPLS/L2TP/LNS for 7206.
But which is the latest recommended?
I am eyeing the following:

or
12.2.33 SRE6
c7200p-advipservicesk9-mz.122-33.SRE6.bin
Both released March2012.
Or should I go up to 15.1?

I would recommened moving to 15.1. Multiple bug fixes + lot of code changes are present between 124 - SRE and 15.1, particularly CEF, Multicast and QoS.

Search by feature and choose MPLS, and then choose Cisco 2801 as the platform, you'll get a list of the IOSs that support MPLS on your platform, and please always check the required DRAM and Flash.

IOS 7 older app support

i want to upgrade to ios 7, but there is an app that i really want (i haven't bought it yet) that does not currently support ios 7. can i still use the app on ios 7, or will it not work at all? i cannot find any help on this issue.

What does the app's description page in the store say ? Unless the app explicitly says that it doesn't work on iOS 7 then it should do so (I haven't had any problems using any of my apps on iOS 7, including those that haven't had an update since iOS 7 came out), though you could check to see if there are any recent reviews for the app in the store that mention any problems and/or try contacting the developer

Ios podcast utility that supports video out through composite cable.

Hi everyone,
I'm watching some video podcasts (you're right - MacBreak Weekly!) in my car while staying in traffic jams. And I use original Apple composite video cable to send video to the in-dash screen of my Nissan.
There have been some podcasts downloaders in App Store, like Instacast, Downcast, Podcaster. But none of them are able to send video out of iPhone.
If anybody seen one that is able to do that, I'd appreciate a link dropped over here.

As per the datasheet WCCP is not supported in 12.2(25)SG which is the latest available code for 4500.

TS1398 Does IOS 6.1.1 support WPA2-Enterprise?

Does IOS 6.1.1 on iPhone 4s support WPA2-Enterprise? If I choose other under Wi-Fi I can enter domain credentials and password, but as soon as the phone goes to sleep it no longer can connect to Wireless APs with WPA2-Enterprise authentication.

There is no plugin nor hack. You will need iTunes 10.2 and that requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Sorry, but unless you can upgrade your system to 10.5, you will not be able to upgrade to iOS 4.3.
