IOS 4.2.1 have performance problem?
I use iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 4. While many background applications run, my iPhone4 is very slowly. I think iOS4.2.1 have performance problem. So, Apple should release maintenance release for iOS 4.2.

Yes, I do not try it but I guess so. If I stop background applications, I can get confirmable iPhone life.
According to apple, "task manager" must be unnecessary for iPhone. Memory control for iOS4.2 have is not good.

I did my upgrade to 7.02 from 7.0 today. It didn't take very long but I learnt a long time ago that a "watched kettle never boils".
So make sure you do an icloud back-up at least andthen go ahead with the 7.02..and go do something else for awhile.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

When i interact with the OS en move windows around of playing videos, I see this lag in graphics. I upgraded the ram to 8GB a few weeks the problem is solved, but now its back again. what can i do?
The problem accurs always even when the mac cpu is idle, more than 7GB of ram is free.
One thing i need to mention is that i have only 3GB left on mu SSD, but that can't be the problem. (I Think)

I created report using tables like bsis,t001 etc,( tax report).
I have performance problem in this report.

I use the Code Inspector to search for
a) All the select statements which are present within the loop
b) Nested Loops
c) Select query without providing criteria for primary keys, depending upon situation
d) Can the search be narrowed with extra conditions
e) Using READ .. BINARY SEARCH if internal table has lots of records.
The list is actually endless, but this is something to start with.
You can actually have a checklist, and depending upon it, go through your code. The more you adhere to checklist, you will find that, the performance would dramatically improve.
Also use <b>ST05</b> transaction, for SQL Trace and find out which select query is taking the maximum time for response.

But some times requirement itself may be in that way. We may not be knowing all the primary keys to given them in WHER conditon. If you know the values, then provide them without fail.
2. Yes. It's better to always follow the sequence in WHERE condition and even in the fields being fetched.
One important point is, whenever you use FOR ALL ENTRIES IN, please make sure that the itab IS NOT INITIAL i.e. the itab must have been filled in. So, place the same conditin before both the SELECT queries like:

IOS 8.1 and Skype online problem
In all my iDevices with IOS 8.1 they have a problem to stay online. After the lid of iPad Air is closed the Skype will go to offline status within some seconds. Same problem with iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPhone 4S. Only iPhone 4 with IOS 7 is working normaly.
Is there some setting which I have change to get Skype to stay online all the time, when it is loaded on background?To resolve this issue, on your Apple device, go to Settings, General, Background App Refresh. Make sure the refresh is turned ON and Skype app in the same screen below is set to ON. If you have the main refresh switch OFF or the Skype app set to OFF, the app will go offline as it cannot synch your profile (status) to the server in real time.
You can control and set other apps to automatic refresh or turn them off individually in the same screen.

Airport multicast performance problems in u-verse IPTV bridge.
I have a bunch of airport hardware, two n expresses, a draft n extreme, and a 5th generation extreme. I've recently moved to a new house and have AT&T's u-verse multicast IPTV installed. I want to put my TV somewhere without wiring and was going to just do it using a dedicated 802.11n bridge formed from either the two expresses, or the draft n extreme (at the multicast source side) and an express as a receiver.
This seems to work from a functionality perspective, I get the multicast stream into the AT&T set-top box and can watch all of the channels for extended periods of time. The problem that I run into is that I have performance problems that result in the video stuttering, pixelating, and freezing for seconds to minutes at a time. I don't understand why this is the case. The HD stream is less than 9Mbps which should be easily handled by a 5Ghz, n-only link. The source and destination expresses are within 5 feet of each other with clear line-of-sight.
Does anyone have any experience with multicast streaming on aiport hardware? Is there some limitation in the airport implementation where multicast (UDP) packets trigger some sort of slowpath packet processing, so that packets are being dropped? Is there some reporting feature within airport utility that where I can look for diagnostics related to dropped or (extremely) delayed packets? Is there something about AT&T's use of multicast IPTV that is just incompatible with airport hardware?
Note that the u-verse gateway handles all of the IGMP in this situation, and that nothing else is on the network. Well, the 5th gen router is on the network and everything else I own is behind it on a different wifi network. The gateway is smart enough to filter out the multicast traffic so that the router doesn't see it.Found a solution. Switching from Apple's built-in "create a wireless network" and "join a wireless network+allow ethernet clients" to a WDS network with a main and a remote solves all of the problems. It's not a great option because the WDS network forces me to select a fixed, 2.4Ghz channel, but the IPTV stream is only 8-ish Mbps which seems to be doable, even with all of the wireless networks floating around my house. I guess that it could be a bigger problem during peak wifi usage around here, but we'll cross that bridge when it happens.

Sravan.you should analyse your problem more carefully before asking:
+ you can have performance problems related to the execution of function modules.
+ you can also have memory related performance problems by loading huge function groups (non standard).
The fix for the second are smaller and welldefined function groups.
The solutions for the second are constantly discussed here.

each time we need it.
We developed some servlets and jsp pages, also compiled using jdk1.2.2.
The problem we have is that there is one query that when we execute it,
results in a time out error after 3 minutes. The keepalivesecs are set to
more than 6000 secs. It is according to me not a problem of neither the
database nor the jdbc driver, since I tested the same code without using
weblogic and the servlet. Then the query performs fine. After 10 secs I get
the disered result.(run on a client machine).
I have looked at the performance tuning document but there is not much
information about how to handle this. Even if there is only 1 (one) user
connected performance is terrible.

We have a similiar setup and also have performance problems.
We are using Weblogic 4.5.1 towards a Sybase database.
We are using JSP (pages) and it doesn't seem to be the actual
application that needs tuning(?). It more looks like it is some
weserver/application server setup somewhere.
