IOS 4.3 Bluetooth Headset Problem

Does anyone have this similar problem?
My bluetooth headset (handsfree) disconnects intermittently every few minutes (and auto reconnects in 10 to 20 secs). The "Personal Hotspot" option was disabled as I thought it was interferring with the bluetooh connection.
But after some trial and error, I disabled the Wi-Fi option, and it solved the bluetooth disconnection problem.
Prior to IOS 4.2, I have never encountered this problem. Does anyone know how I can downgrade back to IOS4.2?

After upgrading to iOS 4.3, within a few days later my Jabra WAVE encountered problems with its Bluetooth connectivity. I had no problems pairing with both my iPhone4 and my MacBook (aluminium uni-body model). Unfortunately, I can't control my Jabra WAVE's volume control any more which was clearly shown on my iPhone4. Worse of all, I can hear the caller's voice but not vice versa.
I thought my Jabra WAVE was faulty, and I tested it on Skype via my MacBook. To my surprise it worked flawlessly. I've a hunch that iOS 4.3 is still very buggy, and Apple iOS engineers haven't rectified lots of these bugs since the last version.
This is a terrible pain for everyone who's upgraded to iOS 4.3. Bummer

  • New iOS 7 and Bluetooth Headsets

    Hi,
I intaslled the new iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S last night and today none of the button functions on my bluetooth headset (pause, next track, last track, random play, etc.) are working.  They worked under iOS 6 no problem - Any ideas why they aren't working now?  How do I get them back?
The headset pairs okay and I hear the music through the earpieces though I now only seem to be able to control the music directly from the music app screen - which is not convenient to use whilst I am riding my motorcycle.
    Many Thanks.
    S

    Hi there,
Have you tried deleting your headset from the list of devices? Go to Settings>Bluetooth>(your headset name)> the information "i">forget this device. Then re-pair. This worked for my Jaybird BluebudX headset. Annoyingly the battery health meter for the headset's battery does not show with IOS 7.
    Good luck!

  • E72 bluetooth headset problems

    Hi guys
I just got my E72 2 days, so far so good for me except for this weird bluetooth problem.
When using bluetooth headset for calls, the connection with the headset will be dropped but the call will remain online. I had to switch over the handset. The headset will indicate that the connection had been dropped but the phone will still show that it is connected to the headset. Previously i had the similiar problem with E71 but the E71 will drop the headset connection after a while. Once in a while, all i need to do is to toggle the bluetooth setting off and on to recover the bluetooth connectivity. E72 keep showing that the headset connection is active even if i toggle the bluetooth connection off.
The error setting can only be solved by restarting the phone. does anyone have a solution for this? maybe new firmware from nokia to address such problem? or am i the only one with this problem

I just talket to Nokia's helpdesk. They say that the E72 har microsoft bluetooth stack, and Plantronics uses toshiba bluetooth stack. They therefore do not guarantee compability.
So Nokia and Plantronics Voyager Pro does not work together.
I am having this problem even with Nokia BH-904 headset, not only with another brand (Jabra JX10 Series II in my case). So this theory does not hold.
However, it seems my E72 had re-adjusted itslef somehow. I still get the headset disconnected, but I do not have to power-cycle the phone anymore. I just have to turn off and back on the bluetooth headset and it will re-connect with the phone, even during conversation. It takes a a few seconds, but I do not have to end the conversation anymore, just keep talking on the handset while I power off and back on the headset. If course it is difficult when driving :-)

  • Speaker and Bluetooth Headset Problem on Lenovo P70

Hello All, I have purchased Lenovo P70 one month ago. This phone is pretty nice for day to day use. But I am facing some peculiar problem as follows: While using any VOIP application like Skype, Viber, Whatsapp, imo (or whatever); if i try to go from earphone to speaker or bluetooth headset mode, I can't hear any sound. The sound nither plays on earphone or on the speaker or bluetooth headset. Even the other party can't here. Even my cheaper Lenovo A329 has no problem doing so. I'm sure this is a software glitch which needs to be fixed. For your information, my build number is P70-A_S129_150320_16g_ROW Kindly let me know if there's any solution.

Hey JameZ, Thanks for your reply. To be honest with you, I haven't tried the headset which came in box. but surely the speaker mode dosen't work properly in any VOIP application. the sound hangs for about 30-40 seconds and even after the sound comes, it goes again. As for BT headset, kindly see the screenshot below to get better idea. Since the BT headset works fine in normal calls, I'm pretty sure, the problem lies in the OS.  If you have the device around, I would urge you to check for yourself for the problem. I have tried the similar things with my friends P70, the problem remains same. Kindly do the needful

  • Z2 Bluetooth headset problem

    Hello.
Today while listening to a podcast the sound to my headset suddenly stopped working, my first thought was that the headset for some reason had broke down - however i've tried it on 2 different units now and it's still working fine.
The thing is i can still use my bluetooth headset to make calls and i can hear phone sounds, I just can't hear media sounds (i've tried trough walkman, spotify and podcast addict)
I've got android version 4.4.4 installed on the mobile.
While it stopped working I had been listening without even touching the phone for about 20 minutes when it suddenly just quit on me. I've tried restarting the phone but no sucess. When i try to google my problem to find answers i can only find people with problems on previous versions of android.
The headset i use is Xqisit LZ380
Anyone else had this problem before, if so how did you fix it?
Excuse my grammar, english is not my main language.

Going tot ry a system reset today, hopefully it will work but would've been great to know what caused the problem

  • Bluetooth Headset problems - the first time Apple reminds me of Windows

I have spent hours over the last several days, attempting to get my BT headset -- Plantronics 590a -- to work w/my PPC Mac Mini and PowerBook G4 which were purchased June 2005. Both machines have internal BT modules which according to System Profiler were made by Cambridge Silicon Radio - CSR. The Mini had firmware v5.x and the PowerBook v3.x. Despite following directions to download/apply the BT firmware updater approx. 30+ times, the PowerBook won't take the firmware update. However after approx. 15x the MacMini took the firmware update, which regressed its reported firmware version to 2.x.
In any event, whenever I attempt to use my BT headset, I get the error that the BT device wasn't found or whatever, and at least 2 programs lock up. Typically two or more of Skype, iTunes, System Preferences (Audio).
I lived with years of this sort of BS when I was a MS Windows user. I can't believe that Apple doesn't have a solution more recent than a 2+ year old firmware update, to a problem that -- according to these very message boards -- affects many, many Apple users.
For the love of God Apple, please don't make me yearn for my days in Windows purgatory. Act like a professional company that strives for high user satisfaction, and deliver a remedy such that industry standard bluetooth headsets can "just work" together with your latest and greatest products.
Any suggestions are welcome EXCEPT for those describing how to reset the PMU, PRAM, and/or to download and install the firmware update. I have read every variation of these directions, and faithfully excecuted same, with no productive result (other than regressing the firmware version of my MacMini internal BT module).
PowerBook G4 (Titanium)(PPC), MacMini (PPC) Mac OS X (10.4.6) PowerPC

OK, I have found a solution that works reliably, although I am hesitant to recommend it to anyone else...
I have only tried this w/Skype and my Plantronics BT headset. I am running OSX 10.4.6 fully updated as of several days ago. I have Skype setup to launch on login/startup.
Skype > Preferences, set audio in/out to internal speakers or whatever, just not the headset.
    Quit Skype.
Open Preferences > Bluetooth. Delete the headset profile (if it exists). Add a new device = "Headset". While BT Assistant is searching power on headset and make it searchable (I think just turning the headset on will do this). When the BT Assistant recognizes the headset click 'Continue'; after it gathers more information click 'Continue' again. Enter the pairing code -- I think usually 0000 -- when prompted.
NOW STOP when you see the dialogue saying the device has been successfully configured. DO NOT click the 'Quit' button to dismiss this dialogue!
Now -- with the BT Assistant dialogue box still open -- open Skype and log in. Then, in Skype > Preferences change the Audio input/output to your headset.
Now you should be able to use the BT headset w/Skype w/out problems.
I find that I have to repeat this exact procedure every single time that I want to use Skype to make a call (several calls in a row are fine, but if any significant time elapses I have to do this procedure again).
    Seems to work for me.
    Good luck!

  • 6210 and Bluetooth headset problems

    Hi,
I have 6210 Navigator with SW version 4.13.
When I use Bluetooth headset (BH-602 or BH-604), the connection works just fine for the first time.
But if I turn off the Bluetooth headset and for example turn it on again next day (without turning off the phone in between), the connection between the phone and headset just does not work anymore.
I have noticed, that I have to go to the phones Bluetooth menu, turn the bluetooth OFF and then back ON. After these steps when the headset is turned on again the connection between headset and phone works.
This is rather annoying "feature" in the 6210 Navigator and I would like to ask what could be the problem ?

    Hi Chris,
It would appear that a later firmware at V 4.0623 would increase stability in long running bluetooth connections.
I'm not sure if this will apply to you, as I don't have the same problem to confirm that it's fixed. But I would think it'll be a good try to get the firmware updated.
    Let us know.
    Cheers. ^_^;

  • N96 - Bluetooth Headset problems

My new N96 doesnt pair with Parrot bluetooth headset, never found a phone that could before!! any ideas?
NB Not very impressed so far - Nokia Maps is a very poor app. that needs more work.
Message Edited by future1 on 02-Oct-2008 10:06 AM

    hi,
is the parrot HS been paired before with other phone or PC?
if so, try to delete the pairing in the parrot HS, or reset it (see the manual on how to do it), and then remove any pairing on the N96, and then try to pair the 2 again...

  • HS-500 Bluetooth Headset problem

Bought an HS-500 about a month ago.  During a call the headset stops working, the light turns blue and red, and after 5 or 10 seconds, it will reconnect.  By then, the caller usually figures it's a dropped call and hangs up.
Has anyone else had this problem?  Before you suggest it, I already deleted the device, turned my phone off, and turned it back on, paired it again, only to have it happen again.
Problem is the headset was a gift, from an ex, no receipt but I have the original box.  Would BB consider replacing it?  Also the phone I'm using is a Samsung Caliber, but that shouldn't matter since Bluetooth devices are universal, and my last wireless headset worked great until I lost it (different brand, not BB)
Thanks to all for your suggestions.
    Mad respect,
    James R.

I have not seen that happen on my HS-500 in the past. Usually the blue red flashing means pairing mode.

  • Lumia 625 windows bluetooth headset problems

Using a Plantronics voyager edge headset on a Lumia 625 with windows 8.1 often results in a audio stream that is interupted 3 or 4 times a second.
Already changed the phone, bought a higer bluetooth version headset (4.0 vs. 2.1 ) but still no solution.
Heard rumours that it is a known problem, and that a lumia 930 does not have this problem.
Plantronics and Nokia/Microsoft are apparently working on it, but no info on when it will be solved.
Anyone with the same experience, and anyone that knows a workaround?

the phone is updated up to the last release, so 8.1
Problem emerged as of starting to use the 625 with a plantronics Discovery 975.
Did all the things requested by nokia support, power cycle, factory reset, etc.
Phone was exchanged for a new one without result.
Bought the latest blutooth version headset from Plantonics, the voyager edge, problem happens slightly les frequent now but still remains.
    Im running out of options.

  • Jabra BT110 Bluetooth headset problems

I have a Jabra BT110 headset that I had trouble connecting at first, and then the moon and stars lined up, and I was able to get sound out of it.
Now I can connect the headset, and I can play a couple of sounds, then when the sound stops, the headset goes "bloink" like it's being disconnected, and sound no longer plays back through the headset. If I re-pair the device, it works again for a short time (the amount of time it takes to play a few sounds), then once the sound stops, "bloink", it disconnects, and won't reconnect until I re-pair the device. Yes, batteries are fresh.
Anyone have experience with this device on their MBPs? Any ideas how to make it work righ?
This same headset works fine with a ThinkPad with built-in BT and with a D-Link DBT-120 connected to various WinXP boxes. No, I haven't tried the DBT-120 with the MBP, nor do I plan to, since the MBP has Bluetooth built-in.
PS: shame on Apple for not offering MBP with a built-in modem, built-in s-video out, and built-in microphone jack.

Seems no one responded to your msg. I started experiencing this on my Plantronics 950 BT headset as well. It was working fine up until a couple weeks ago, where if I get disconnected, it wouldn't repair again automatically. I have to unpair and then it would work again. Same story with yours. Did you ever find a solution?

  • Bluetooth Headset Problems

Anyone familiar with connecting B&O headset Beoplay H8 with Bluetooth with SKYPE ?It is Toshiba laptop Satellite P70-B-10U model with OS Win7 ultimate.Any useful advice wiil be much appreciated !  Thank you

If you're using Skype make sure you update
to the latest version (Version: 1.4.0.35.
    Release date: January 10, 2006).
The versions before we not dealing properly
with disconnections of the BT audio device
and I got a lot of those "Bluetooth audio
    failed".
The current version, while not perfect, is
    manageable.
This is a fault of the application, not the OS.
Tha app should assume that BT audio devices
go to sleep or go out of coverage and must try
    to reconnect before failing.
    Hope this helps,
    Andrea

  • MSI 6967 bluetooth headset problem

I have recently bought a MSI 6967 as it supports the headset profile. MSI was installed with the 1.4.2.10 drivers. When i tried pairing my Jabra bt200 headset i was able to record normally on sound recorder however, i wan't able to use MSN yahoo etc... as the microphone would not pick up any sound.
Is there anybody out there that would be kind enough to help me sort out this problem. I have winxp sp1

  • C3-00 bluetooth headset problem

I updated my phone to v08.63 last night and since the update i can no longer connect to my jawbone headset. The phone was previously set to auto-connect but no longer recognises the headset although it shows the headset symbol on the main screen. Anybody have a similar problem?

Solved. Jawbones support only gave info on a slight reset, but managed to get info on full reset.

  • Bluetooth headset problems in Boot Camp

I have a mid 2011 iMac dual booting Lion and Windows 7 64 bit using Boot Camp.
When booted into Windows my bluetooth keyboard and mice work fine, but when I attempt to connect a headset (I have tried 2 different ones from different manufacturers) I get errors about could not load the driver.
I have attempted to reinstall the driver using the update driver method for both the headset and I have reloaded the Boot Camp drivers replacing the entire bluetooth radio drivers in the process.
I have also attempted to download and install the Broadcom drivers from Broadcom's site and the installer hangs on the Detecting Device step and never progresses even after an hour.
Anyone have any luck getting a decent Bluetooth stack loaded in Windows on the new iMacs? If so what did you do? What drivers did you use and where did you get them?

Well I found a temporary workaround for this issue. The pros: most bluetooth deveices will connect smoothly, the cons: apple magic mouse will loose its "magic scrolling" (known issue with bluesoleil fix ongoing)
The workaround consists in installing bluesoleil V8.0xxx altough the suit doesnt recognize the BT in MBA 2011 by default you can force it. Here the steps:
Ensure that the apple Bluetooth drivers ARE INSTALLED and working (should be the case after bootcamp installation). This should be the only stack installed if you tried broadcom or other uninstall them first.
    Install Bluesoleil v8.0
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil -> Find the “bttl.inf” file and open it with a text editor.
Look at the third line: NUM=492.  Add +1. Then should be NUM=493
Locate in the text the following lines:
    ID=USB\VID_05AC&PID_ffff
    Manufacture=Apple
Add after the last [HWXXX] entry the VID-PID of the MBA’s 2011:
    [HW493]
    ID=USB\VID_05AC&PID_821F
    Manufacture=APPLE DFU
    Save this file.
    Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\driver\usb
    Find the text:
    %Apple.DeviceDesc%=Btusb_DDI,  USB\Vid_05ac&Pid_ffff
    Add after this text:
    %Apple.DeviceDesc%=Btusb_DDI, USB\VID_05AC&PID_821F
    Now should look:
    %Apple.DeviceDesc%=Btusb_DDI,  USB\Vid_05ac&Pid_ffff
    %Apple.DeviceDesc%=Btusb_DDI, USB\VID_05AC&PID_821F
Note this text should appear twice in the file and BOTH needs to be edited
    Save this text.
    Restart
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager and look for the Apple Built-in Bluetooth Device
Right Click > Update driver > use browse my computer > have a disk > point the edited btcusb.inf file.
Let install the drivers. You will get a warning because is not a signed driver (you edited it).
Enjoy a fully functional Bluetooth profile .
