IOS 4 breaks A2DP on 3GS

Updated my 3GS to iOS4 and now a2dp is broken on audio streaming to my car stereo...tried reseting the Bluetooth connection but still no success...hands free calling works fine, just no audio streaming....anyone else have similar issues?

my 1st post! I'm having the same issue with my Pioneer FH-P8000BT and my 3GS on iOS4. When it turns on, it pairs fine on hands-free, but when I switch to BT-Audio, the A2DP icon on the head unit blinks like it is connecting, but fails to connect, with no error message. Phone calls work fine over hands-free.
Just to rule things out, I was able to connect an ipod touch running 3.1.2 to the A2DP profile on the head unit just fine (provided that my iPhone was not connected at all). The iPhone and iPod won't connect to the stereo over bluetooth at the same time, even with one going for the handsfree profile, and the other for the A2DP profile.
To further rule things out, my iphone syncs to a Motorola MOTOROKR EQ7 bluetooth speaker and plays music and makes phone calls just fine.
My Pioneer head unit says that it can update the bluetooth firmware, but I don't see any new firmware available for it on their website.
This ***** because I use the A2DP on the iPhone and car stereo everyday.

As they are 2 different versions ? More than anything I say because I have to pay for the instruments in the 2.0.1 version of the Iphone 4 ... ?

this puts on the AppStore but I have tried to restore as I wrote above, and does not work. There is nothing to restore.

I've been having the same problem. However, I believe my problem is due to the 3G issues I've been having. I don't have internet access even when the 3G symbol appears, so probably my iphone keeps trying to connect to the network and has its battery drained! Have you been having the same issue?

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

I am also facing the same issue.
four days back, my power buttton stopped working.
Then my sim card slot stopped reading like it was stuck at gsm/cdma band.
Even without simcard it said searching..
then I changed the power button and antenna strip myself as my iphone5 is uk ee and i live in india.
Everything was fine and I booted the phone.
The power button worked like a new device... but the searching problem still remained.
I hard resetted my phone but to no vail. even Find My phone was not turning off.
then I forced my phone to recovery mode and downloaded iphone5,2 7.0.2,11A501_restore.ipsw from web and flashed it.
At the start it recognised and everything was good until the "restoring iphone firmware" was stuck at the end point.
I tried every trick on net. Even tried to downgrade.. but it was blocked.
at the last it is either stuck at firmware or itunes unknown error (3)
Please somebody help me to recover this PAPERWEIGHT to a phone again...

IOS 5 Direct Download 3GS

I downloaded the iOS 5 from a direct download link to my computer. How do I make iTunes recognize it so I can update it? I use a 3GS.

Wow... talk about blowing things out of proportion.
I installed iOS 5 on my 3GS Saturday morning and have had no issues. Nothing was lost.
But then, unlike many that I have seen reporting issues, I sync my device daily, my contacts are synced to MobileMe (now converted to iCloud) and all my media exists in iTunes. I actually use the device the way Apple intended it to be used.
The majority of the posts I have seen complaining about issues are from users that rarely or never sync, did not let it complete a backup, or rely soley on the device for management of their contacts and calendars.
Again, mine like Reece brailey's is just one experience out of millions. It's ultimately a decision that every user must make for themselves, but do not let one person's drama discourage you.
To answer the OP's question, place the ipsw file in the iPhone software update folder, or simply download it via iTunes so that you ensure you have the correct ipsw file.

iCloud only syncs iCloud calendars.
If there is an app for viewing outlook calendars then maybe it needs installing everywhere.

I regularly stream audio to my Jawbone Era via A2DP. After upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0, and subsequently 5.0.1, my phone no longer streams via A2DP to my Jawbone Era. I am able to make calls with it, but no music stream. I have "forgotten" the device and added it back to my phone, checked the Jawbone myTalk website for updates, and scoured the Internet for suggestions without success.
Does anyone else have this issue?
