IOS 4 did not fix AVRCP Bluetooth profile

Anyone with a bluetooth headset accessory will know that Apple's implementation of the AVCRP (Audio/Video Remote Control) profile is deficient. It does not support remote control functions such as fast-forward, fast-rewind, skip back, skip to next, etc. I was hoping that iOS4 would address this. Alas, it did not. I have a Sony BT-100CX BT headset, and it works no better with iOS 4.0 than it did with version 3.1. Remote stop/pause works, but nothing else.

I used the iPhone Feedback page to make this fair and very valid plea;
"I've noticed some of the subtle Bluetooth upgrades like a Volume slider when playing videos either on YouTube or iPod, and the fact that I can now hear the ringtone through the Bluetooth Headset, also cool was the fact that there isn't anymore out of sync audio when playing videos.
However, the most important feature is missing and that is full AVRCP support. I still can not skip, fast forward or Rewind a song through the Bluetooth headset. Again, I live in NYC and take the subway all the time, to pull out my iPhone to go to the next song, is a bit dangerous, especially in these times where certain people will do anything for a buck, like, mugging people for their devices much like the WWDC incident where a Journalist from Korea was mugged for his iPad.
The iPad, of course, was out in the open for the mugger to see, I don't want that to happen to me in a City where the odds of this happening is increased. I would like to safely skip a song, or replay a song, or even go to the previous song, not by taking my iPhone out of my pocket and exposing it to God knows who, instead, only using my Bluetooth Headset. This AVRCP feature can only be appreciated if it was supported 100%.
I beg of you iOS developers to put an end to this potentially dangerous scenario and allow for full, 100%, AVRCP support.

I am still unable to pair up my bluetooth stereo headphones with my iPhone 4. I originally had it paired up back when my iPhone 4 was running 4.0, but ever since iOS 4.2.1, I've been unable to pair up anything with my bluetooth. Actually, I would be very surprised to find out that Apple does not read these forums. A smart company would monitor discussion about their products, especially on a sight they sponsor, to gain insight on how to improve their product and or customer service. However, you should always file your complaint through the proper channels. I have had a few minor glitches between my iPhone 4 and my Jawbone Icon but things seem significantly better...so far. It just angers me that Apple has not admitted to any kind of bluetooth connectivity problem. This experience has completely tainted any kind of positive experiences from my iPhone 3G. I'm very likely to try a Droid or Blackberry when I upgrade again.

Well, the same problem exists with the Apple Bluetooth.
When I put the ear piece in the dual charger, it turns off the earpiece and does not charge.
All the problems caused by 1.1.3 are still prsent.
This is unacceptable. I am not a whiner and I love Apple.
I waited patiently for the update, but one has come and the issues are not resolved.

Billed for Premium Tech Support That Did Not Fix the Problem

i too was scammed last night by a premiun tech support rep...he assured me that the problem i was having with my pc
could be repaired and pursuaded   me to purchase the 10 month plan for $14.00 month also said if i canceled prior to the 10 mos i would be charged a $59.99 fee.......I told him I would sign up if he could assure me the pc problem would be resolved.
He also assusred me that if it could not be resolved to ask to be transfered to the billing department to cancel the the plan   I confirmed this with him at least 3 times and he assured me I would not have to pay and I could cancel with no monetary obligation if the problem on my pc could not be resolved....well it was not and my computer was left in worse condition than when the premium support tech began working on it...the support tech worked on my computer for 3 and 1/2 hoursI was on the phone with him until 3:30 am....he apologized and said he did not expect the outcome of what happened to my computer. well needless to say when i called billing i was told I was liable for the $59.00 early cancelation fee it did not matter that the tech did not repair the problem or that he left my computer in worse condition than when he  began working on it.........so technically what they are saying is that I have to pay for them creating problems on my pc that did not exist before I called them   I The sales rep I spoke to was "scott : he said he was in massachusetts..I spoke with Eric in BIlling and he said he would note on my account what I had told him and asked me to call after the charge appears on my phone bill to see if i could have it removed...i also called billing again today and spoke with another billing rep and she said she also would note my problem on my account and that hopefully the $59.00 fee would be removed..it is very disppointing to know that Verizon Hires people that lie to consumers.....all of their employee conversations to customers need to be recorded and monitored. I received a recorded message from verizon this am asking if i was satisfied with the service i received from tech suppoort with #1 being the least satisfed which of course described my experience with them. I was also billed on July 15, 2014 for tech support that did not fix my computer problem.
I was billed $99.99 to my credit card to a tech in the country of India.
I tried to get my money back but the number I was referred to would not answer.
I immediately went to my bank which took all of the info and changed my credit card number.
The bank also did their own investigation and said it seemed to be a scam. My money was redeposited into my account within 36 hours - not because of anything Verizon did, but my BANK!!   I was so grateful.
Such service from Verizon's tech department is unethical and inexcusable.
Verizon customers deserve better tech service than this. "Ma Bell" would turn over in her grave if she knew how far down the service of the original phone company has gone. It's a disgrace!! A SCAM perpetuated and sanctioned by Verizon.
I complained to the Verizon Customer Correspondance Claim Dept. Do you think they will straighten this mess out? I doubt it - I am a retiree with an excellent payment record.

I presume that you mean that the switches do not light up as appropriate when you select a Patch in MS?
If so, in Layout Mode, select each of the buttons in turn, and check that they are a) Assigned to the correct MIDI CC number etc, and b) that "Send Value to" has the correct Port selected.

You need to have a different Apple ID for each of the other devices.

Verizon ellipsys update did not fix the app memory problem!

The Verizon update for the ellipsys did not fix the original issue with the storage of apps on the device. The update gave you the capability to move apps to your tablet space; but, the device's pre installed apps cannot be moved. Those apps take up roughly 500mb of the allotted 1gb of space.
This tablet was meant for my parents to use and they can't be sitting here umistalling and disabling preinstalled apps just to use there tablet.
Please include in the next update a reallocation of memory for more app storage space. I have already moved all available apps over to the tablet space: I have 4 gigs open on their tablet and only 200mb for apps? Crazy sauce...

I called Verizon 2nd level tech support and they assured me there is NO ED06 update's said they haven't even finished rolling out ED05 yet. I think they just told you that to get you off the phone. I also have a Fascinate and have had problems and can't get them to replace my phone with a different device. I want the Droid Charge since it is the only other one that has the AMOLED screen that I originally chose the Fascinate for . They had a program that ended on July 28th the day that ED05 rolled out. They offered the Droidx, the Incredible 2, and the Droid Charge to replace the Fascinates that were having trouble. I had called to report my issues during this replacement program but was not told that it was going on and now they won't give me the Droid Charge because it has expired. I think since there are STILL issues-they need to bring this program back and allow us to get a different phone. I have been a customer of Verizon for 10 years and have 7 lines so I am REALLY disappointed that they can't work with me (or other customers ) especially since it is not something we did to the phone. It is a problem with either Verizon or Samsung. I don't know where to go from here but maybe if they hear enough from others that didn't have any success with ED05 they will start to replace them. I will probably go to a higher level to voice my concern. Let me know if anyone has any success getting a new device especially the Droid Charge.

I have been having the text tone issue as many others have. That problem being that when a text is recieved the phone will only vibrate. The 2.1 update did not fix the issue...imagine that.

I ask because I exchanged my phone twice already because after a certain number of texts, the audio alert for text messages stops and only vibrates. After installing VLC (64bit), my MBP only reads CDs and ejects DVDs. Uninstalling VLC did not fix the problem. What do I do?

I have recently installed VLC media player (64bit), played a movie file on a DVD+RW for 30 seconds, then decided to stop the movie. I poped the DVD out, and a minute later I reinserted the same DVD, it was ejected after 10 second. Now when ever I insert the DVD in my MBP it gets ejected. It reads my CDs but does not read my DVD. Uninstalling VLC did not fix it. I am not even sure at this if VLC caused the problem. What do I do?

iPhone warranty is not international. You will have to return your
iPhone to Saudi Arabia for repair/replacement. Either take it back
yourself or send to friend/relative for them to take to Apple. Apple
will not accept international shipments for repair nor will Apple
ship repaired/replaced iPhones out of the country where the repair
was done.
