IOS 4 upgrade has broken all 3rd party GPS applications

since upgrading all my apps that used to use GPS perfectly fine now can not find a GPS signal, they can only get a fix based on cell towers.
This existed in ios 4.01 and now in the latest ios which i just upgraded too.
this is a common problem that needs to be fixed. i've tried everything! kind of ***** as i use it a lot

What did you upgrade from? I think if you remove CrashPlan and MacKeeper, you should be fine.

Just wanted to post in the event someone else had the same issue. I did a restore and reset. All third party apps went away (poof).
I had to manually re-install my apps from the app-store. Thank goodness iTunes tracks your previous purchases.

All 3rd party apps Crash - Already Restored FIVE Times to date - Apple fix?

Since the 2.0 update my apps have had constant crashing issues. Usually after opening 8 or so apps in a row (very easy to do when downloading and testing many apps) ... Powering down and powering back up usually helped/fixed the issue, if temporarily.
Now, since 2.0.1 I've had times when one app will crash to the home screen, and from that point on ALL 3rd party apps immediately crash. Powering down the iPod, and powering back up does not fix the problem. Resetting the ipod (Sleep and Home buttons held) does not help either. I've also tried just Syncing the ipod, but this, alas, does nothing to help.
When it's come to this in the past I've had to do a complete iPod restore, which if it weren't just for the time taken restoring, the time taken re-arranging the icons/screens puts the process into the realm of a major pain. But having a way to assign apps to a particular screen on the ipod/iphone within iTunes is a topic for another thread.
Is there a way around this (crashing issue) that I'm just not seeing?
I'm tired of being and eff-ing guinea pig; this is not why I'm an apple user, this is one of the reasons I make fun of Windows people and get them to switch TO apple.

I decided to do a Restore and use the last successful backup. It got to about the 95% mark on the restore and hung for 2 hours. The exact same place for 2 hours.
Not having the ability or patience to wait for my iPod to get done tying up my computer, I reset it. Now, all I've got is a $299.99 Paperweight that constantly displays a nice and shiny apple logo on it's screen.
An attempt to restore it to factory settings only gave me an error dialogue box:
The iPod "Kuhnaydeein's iPod" could not be restored.
An unknown error occurred (0xE8000035).
Now what am I supposed to do? I don't live near an Apple Store, the only place that sells apple merch is the store where I work, in the department I work. I know our policy on taking back/exchanging iPods.
What I've failed to mention is how I'm EVER going to sell one of these to someone if there's a chance they'll just be getting the same FAULTY Hardware/Software I'm now stuck with? Is Apple going to come to the rescue, read this post and replace my iPod? I sincerely hope they read this, because they don't give the slightest hint at any Direct Email addresses on the Apple.com website. (What's with that anyway?)
So what do I do now? RESTORING IS NOT AN OPTION.

4. launch InDesign, Verify pref settings.
5. Force Quit InDesign
6. Launch InDesign/Verfiy pref settings and they will not be there.

3rd Party Email Application for CF

I know there are 3rd party email applications for CF ... Can
anyone point me to them and/or let me know if they have worked
better. I'm looking for more power with email (tracking, sending,
routing, etc).

Yeah, that might be to much. Normally, CF will directly send
to your mailserver (usually IIS mail services) and if something
goes wrong your only options reside in looking at the CF logs if
you're logging mail. But I know there are some third party apps
that do more tracking/resending then send to your mail server (and
or better bulk mail processing). In your case you've just handled
it more complexly by using an Exchange Server. That will be
overkill for me plus a good amount of time learning and installing
(not to mention price tag).

10.9.4 Upgrade has crippled all of my macs

I upgraded my MacMini and a couple of MacPros to the new 10.9.4 and now I enjoy the performance of a Newton.
Rainbow spinning wheel. I've updated Dropbox and a couple of other pieces of software with little luck.

All my 3rd party plugins are gone after the new update from apple !! I am running lep and logic studio G5 dual 2.5 ppc 8 gigs of ram !!!! What happen ???? Can not get the AU manger to launch !!!!! Help dead in the water !!!!!!!

user/library/caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache
and
user*/library/caches/Logic/
Reboot, and try again...

All 3rd party apps are crashing on startup of the app even after a restore

My iPhone was working perfectly fine yesterday before I updated the weather.com application over wifi, ever since then none of my 3rd party apps will open on the iphone. The standard apple apps i.e. weather, email, calculator, etc. all open fine.
I have done a reset, a hard reset and a full restore from a backup and still it is not working properly. Any ideas on what to do from here?

2.1 Upgrade has Broken my iPhone! Help!

Hello All
I downloaded iTunes 8 today and tried to update my iPhone to the 2.1 firmware but things have gone dreadfully wrong. After I downloaded the 2.1 firmware it proceeded to install it, but during the "preparing to install" phase there was an error (which i forgot to take down) that said I could not continue with the installation.
So, I tried to restart the installation, to no luck. Then, I tried to reconnect the iPhone, which was still on the USB / iTunes screen. Despite restarting the iPhone a number of ways, it just goes back to this screen. I think I'll need to put it back to factory settings, but have no idea how to do this, as iTunes does not detect it.
Where to I go from here?
P.S if I uninstall iTunes, do i lose my iPhone backup too?

Yes, this seems to work. I deleted one of my existing apps from both my iPhone and itunes, then redownloaded the app and resynced. Now the app works. Thanks for the suggestion! But, of course, I lost all of my app data. Boes this mean that I need to delete ALL of my apps (along with their data) and redownload them all? Isn't there any way to solve this problem without losing all of my application data?
Update: Oh, this is interesting. I just tried one of the other apps (not the one I redownloaded). Now it works as well! So it looks like your suggestion of deleting and reinstalling just one of my apps has fixed all of my apps! Magic! Thanks!!!!!

Disabling all 3rd party plugins on an OSX user?

Hey there,
Long time no see. I'm rolling out a college motion graphics program and have hit a snag on our computer configuration. We have individual OSX user logins for each class and are using the CS5.5 Production bundle. We have a few 3rd party plugin packages installed (such as Trapcode Suite, Keying Suite, Magic Bullet Suite, etc.) and I would LOVE to disable/hide those on the account for the intro class.
Are there any straight-forward options that I'm not thinking of? I've done lots of searching but am not coming up with much.

Just for fun I moved my Trapcode plug-ins from the Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/MediaCore directory to a new folder under my Rick User account I called AdobePlugins.
I changed the premissions of this folder so that other users would not be able to see the folder by setting no access for everyone. I then created an alias for the Trapcode plug-ins and moved the alias back to the original location. I then switched users and it worked. No access to the trapcode plug-ins from the other user.
This was on a Mac OSX Lion 10.7. It's kind of a hack, and the uninstallers and installers won't like it much, but so far it seems to be working. I don't know if something like this would work for Windows, but I do know that Aliases work there too. Give it a shot at your own risk.

Unable to open files from 3rd party websites/applications

Hi all,
My new macbook arrived with QT 7.0.4, I used it perfectly for a week with no problem, but now after carrying out a 'software upgrade' via system preferences to QT 7.1.1 I now find that Quicktime will not open hardly anything!!!! Not bad considering Apples information at the download window states that 7.1.1 was implemented to fix bugs that prevented QT from opening files in 3rd party applications. Whats going on?.......
In the mean time I've had to carry out a system reboot to go back to QT 7.0.4 and now its back to how it should be. What version of Quicktime 7 am I going to have to wait for before this issue if rectified?

3rd party application like gmail, orkut or 160by2 which are java ME application cannot connect to internet in my Nokia 2700 classic, when connecting it only prompts "Application wants use Network. Allow?" like this, I press the allow button still it cannot connect to the internet, my Operamini and all other nokia apps are working correctly.. Please Help..

These apps might not be compatible with your 2700 even though it's installed.

AB AP (BDC) to launch 3rd party printing application

Hi all,
i intend to create a BDC program to generate PDF file.
Unfortunately, due to system constraint (4.6B), unable to convert SAP document directly to PDF in the system (using FM) so have to use a 3rd party software.
currently i have a 3rd party software for creating PDF from using print function. what i have in mind is to use the BDC program to print the SAP document through local printer, which will in turn launch the 3rd party software. this will pop-up a window promtping for name of PDF file to be created in local drive (eg, C:\)
I would like to seek advises from experts, how can i perform the BDC to launch the printing option (LPD) in SAP and enter the desired PDF file name in the pop-up window, and pass back the file name back to the BDC session.

If you are requirement is to print a document to the local printer, try generating a spool for the document.
Use the spool number for FM: 'RSPO_OUTPUT_SPOOL_REQUEST'
          CALL FUNCTION 'RSPO_OUTPUT_SPOOL_REQUEST'
            EXPORTING
              device           = <device name>
              spool_request_id = <spool number>.
