IOS 5.0.1 upgrade produced more problems to my Iphone 4 and can't make/accept calls/messages

My iPhone 4with iOS5.0.1 was working fine till a few days ago.I can't hear ringing tonewhen I call somebody(even voicemail)or the person answering the phone. And whenI want to disconnect the call I'm making-'cause I'm not hearing anything, thescreen just freezes saying "ending"(call).I have to restart the phoneto end the call. Nobody can make calls to me either. They can hear the ringingtone but my phone is not ringing!
How can I resolve this?

What solved it is to turn on or Enable 3G and set Cellular Data to ON.  While this worked to solve the problem.  Apple still needs to correct the bug for 5.0.1 because there should be no problem even if the 3G and Cellular Data is turned OFF.
