Some how I can't launch camera from Home after update to 5.1?????

Perhaps you shouldn't let people who take "any kind of questionable photos" (what does that mean?) use your phone. Cameras don't generally have passcodes on them. If you left your camera lying around unattended, people could use them to take pictures, too.

I don't like the new camera short cut always being there I think apple, you should make it optional I.e. you can set it to on or off

How to bring camera short cut on locked screen

My wife & I have iPhone 4S, recently we both set passcode on our iPhones, my phone shows camera short cut on locked screen whereas my wife's does not has camera short cut. Does any one know how to bring camera short cut on locked screen, thanks.

Yes, hers is updated to iOS 5.1, she can now bring up the camera short cut by tapping Home button twice suggested by anilsudhakaran dated Oct 11 2011 in the support communities. Thanks razmee209 & anilsudhakaran.

Camera button on home screen no longer opens camera ?

When I doube tap the home button to use the camera from the home screen, it sort of 'hops' up about 1/2 a cm, but then bounces back down without opening the camera app, this is only since the upgrade to 5.1. I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!) Is it just me or is anyone else having this issue ?
*edit* figured it out, its now a slide motion upwards.....

You should have seen all the questions when they first added the shortcut to the lock screen. No one could figure out how to use it as it required a double tap to make it visible.

You can install it on your iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) either by redownloading it directly on the device via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it, or by connecting the device to your computer's iTunes and syncing it to it.

As to how to then use the app, if the description on the app's description page in the store doesn't describe how to use it in enough detail, then is there a link to the developer's website on its description page, and does that have details ?

Hard Reset
Press and hold BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
if no result try to back up and restore via itunes on a computer.
if wont restore try this
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

I updated my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1, now the home button is not working

I have recently update my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1, now the home button is not working and the voice control keeps popping up.
I have restored a lot of times and i had calibrated my iphone a lot of times too.

I have heard from multiple friends who have Iphone 4 who have done this lastest update and have all had problems.
I think I will wait to update mine.

Make an appointment with the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. If they determine there is an issue with your iPad, it will be replaced.

I can't access to control center (Swipe up), notification center (swipe down) and camera on my home screen when i put my phone down

I Just bought my iphone 6 64GB iOS 8.1.2 few days ago , It can't access to control center , camera (swipe up) and notification center (swipe down) on home screen when i put my phone down (it also hardly to access assistive touch too ) . Is anyone having this situation too ?

Are you using a iphone case or otterbox? If so remove the case and see if you can swipe up.

Pictures taken with the instant camera short cut on the iPod touch 4G do not show up in the camera roll

My girlfriend has an iPod touch 4G. She recently installed iOS 5 and is now having problems with the camera. When she takes a picture after launching the camera from the lock screen, the photo never appears in her camera roll. The photo appears in camera roll preview, but not in the camera roll itself. Anyone else having this problem or know of any fixes?
UPDATE: My iPhone 3GS appears to do the same thing.

Try deleting the iPod Photo Cache folder. For is location see:

Camera icon on home screen

Whilst at a wedding today my icon for my camera vanished, the you tube one has appeared in its place. I can still access the camera if i type camera in to the search iphone box. Can anyone tell me how i can pin this icon backonto the page

Its not been deleted. More likely you have inadvertently moved the icon to another page. Check your other home screens.
