IOS 5 and downloading podcasts directly to IPAD

I recently updated my IPAD Gen 1 to iOS5 and when I download a podcast i cannot find it in my Music App under podcasts. It show that it is downloading and looks to complete but when I go to the podcast section under Music I cannot find it. Any ideas...Bug??

Everything has worked well until about a month ago, up to date iOS 5 and itunes installed. Tried resetting numerous times, turned off all apps still no joy. Ipad was great but now feeling buying one was mistake. Also recent music purchase was useless and tunes would not play correctly.

Since this is happening on the iPad and the computer, it might be worth a try to reboot your router - unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
Quit iTunes on the PC, reboot it and the iPad as well
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons

Where are my recently downloaded podcasts in my iPad Air? I have the Podcast App; I went to the Music App. as one person suggested and the inquiring party was successful. I'm missing a step here.

If you downloaded them using the IOS Podcasts app they will be in there. Open Podcasts and then select "My Podcasts" found in the lower left part of the screen. You should now see them. Many other apps also download podcasts. For instance I download a lot of radio station podcasts using the radio app TuneIn Radio. The only way to play them back is to use TuneIn. The IOS app "Podcasts" has no idea they exist.

And I can get them in itunes no problem.
I am trying to figure out if it is itunes or my hosts problem.
Also it is like that on all iphones of the people in my church.

Your feed contains a number of errors, and when subscribing to it manually in iTunes it would not download any episodes. This is because your episode URLs have spaces in them. Spaces are not allowed in a URL: when using a browser it will replace the spaces with the code %20 and will locate the file: but iTunes does not do this. It sees the URL as ending at the first space. So you need to remove the spaces, or perhaps replace them with underscores, and amend the feed to suit.
The podcast is not searchable in the Store: this is because the 'title' tag, which should contain simply the title, encloses it within a 'CDATA' tag, which iTunes cannot read (this is assuming you have in fact sumbitted the podcast to the Store and had it accepted, something I cannot check).
The feed is lacking the 'itunes' declaration at the top, without which iTunes cannot read any of the 'itunes' tags (not in fact that you have any). The top of the feed should look like this:

You have no 'itunes:author', 'itunes:summary' or 'itunes:subtitle' tags which carry the information to be displayed on the Store.

As stevejobsfan said. But also if your profile is correct and you are running system 10.7 on your iMac, you will not have much portability between the two either. Think of them as 2 different programs that just happen to have the same name.
OS 10.9 Mavericks' version of Pages has greater compatibility with the app version of it. But there are a lot of consequences to moving to Mavericks which should not be done lightly. Read around a bit on it before making any decision to upgrade.

Your question is a little bit confusing to me. If you have music on the Mac that you want to transfer to the iPad, you have to import the music into iTunes first. You can read about that process here.

Then you have to sync the music to the iPad. You do not Internet connectivity to sync the iPad if you use the cable and connect the device to the Mac that way. You can read this for an overview about syncing.

I ALSO just updated my brand new iphone 6 to 8.0.2, and I ALSO had my cellular service BRICKED.
All I get on the signal meter is Verizon 1x. Every so often 3G would popup and you could send a text (no calls though) but it's gone in seconds. So I can't send texts or make phone calls.
This phone worked immediately before the update and stopped working immediately after the update.
My neighbor has a iphone 5S. He updated to 8.0.2 lat week and had no problems UNTIL just this morning, when his phone stopped working - no cellular voice or data. He downgraded back to ios 8.0 but his cellular service never came back.
Called verizon - was told there were no service outages and then I got transferred to tech team.
Tech team had do all the Apple troubleshooting steps but nothing more. So they said "take it back."
So this BRAND NEW iPhone 6 phone is BRICKED because of iOS 8.0.2.

One of my favorite things about developing for iOS using Xcode is the Simulator. It runs any of the iOS devices simulated right on your Mac. If you don't have a hardware device to test your application on, the Xcode simulator will surely be your best friend.
So to answer your question less vaguely, yes. You can own the iPhone 5s and develop for the 6. There is no real release information of the iPhone 6 at the time anyways, so I would not let it play too large of a factor in your decision.

You definitely do not need WiFi to watch a purchased movie once it has been downloaded to your iPad. I have several movies that I purchased for watching on flights and every one of them worked fine without WiFi.
You should also be able to rent a movie and watch it without WiFi as long as the movie has fully downloaded properly. I have read about users having mixed results with this and that is why I said that you should be able to do it.

If I rent a movie and download it to my iPad. Can I still watch it if wifi is no longer available?

Normally once a rental has completely downloaded, you no longer need a connection to the iTunes Store to play the movie. Some people have, however, tried to play a rental and been instructed to connect to the iTunes Store. I have not been able to spot any pattern in when it works and when it doesn't, so all I can say is that it should work but may not. I know that's not a good answer, but it's the best I can provide. Perhaps someone else here will have better insight into the issue.

Haha, thanks for the tip! I was just curious if anyone had this problem at all. I just found it odd that before iOS 6, I had version 5.1 (which came standard with my iPad at the time) and there was no delay. You click on/off button for Airplane Mode or WiFi and the function would turn on or off instantly... Just annoying have to wait several seconds for a response. Thanks for the input though.

I've read elsewhere that you can't directly subscribe to a podcast on a iPad, that you have to subscribe to a podcast in iTunes on a Mac or PC and then new episodes will be transferred to your iPad when you sync it. Is that true?

OK, I've now had a look at the feed's coding. I'm surprised it works at all as you have no 'iTunes Declaration' in the second line, and no 'enclosure' tag containing the URL of the media file. The nearest you have is a link reading

I wouldn't have expected iTunes to read this, but it appears to be doing so; the same for the Store within iTunes. However given this it doesn't surprise me that the Podcasts app isn't playing nice with it. You would have been better off with the Feedburner feed, which does have the 'enclosure' tag, albeit as I said linking to the dubious Feedproxy URL. However you submitted the Blogger feed to iTunes and you are stuck with it as it won't be easy to change it (though not completely impossible).
More to the point, Blogger is capable of making iTunes-compliant feeds; I can't advise on specifics but there is presumably a setting to do this. If you can do this and re-upload the feed the problem should sort itself out.
Incidentally the 'length' attribute at the end of the enclosure should not be zero, but the file length in bytes - I don't know whether this will have any effect on the Podcasts app - iTunes on a Mac ignores it.
