IOS 5 bluetooth glitch or messed up Brailliant 24 brailler?

Hello,
I have a friend who is DeafBlind and wants to buy an iphone from Sprint.
Her brailliant 24 brailler will not connect to the iphone, but will connect to a samsung, but she would really like to buy an Iphone.
I think it is a glitch, but I am not sure. Is anyone else having issues with IOS 5?
Is ther anyone that only has issues with using the brailler with it?
She is looking into getting an iphone 4. Her other phone is dead now.
IF it is a glitch how do we override it?
They have contacted everyone and they are stumped. any ideas anyone??

I've been finding this! I'm in the UK and while on wi-fi in the house it occasionally switched to 3G. Thought it was due to my router being out of range of my phone but then I thought 'Hold on, wifi was fine at this part of my house just a second ago and never dropped on my pre-iOS6 iPhone 4' - I'm on an iPhone 5 now with iOS6.
So I've turned off 3G and lo and behold a constant wifi signal and connection! Wonder if there is still some of the pre-release iOS6 beta feature of 'use 3G if wifi signal not strong enough' left in the public release of iOS6???

IOS 7 bluetooth not working properly ipad and iPhone

Since upgrading to iOS 7 Bluetooth is not working fully on either ipad or iphone.
What will work ....
BT turns on and off OK
Personal hotspot will work ok and when in use the two devices show each other as connected via BT
Apple keyboard is recognised and connects oK
What does not work,...
If BT is turned on the devices will not find one another, even though they are both showing they are discoverable. They spend for ever trying to discover ANY device and find nothing.
Tried with a device on iOS 6xx and still no discovery
Tried with the Phototransfer app that has always worked fine via BT - it will no longer connect over BT.

It certainly does work for myself and millions of others.
Has the basic troubleshooting of reset, restart, and restore been tried?
What about Settings > General > Bluetooth > select device > Forget this device?

You'll very likely need iTunes. But you might as well try a reset since you're out of town.
Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds. Hopefully you will see an Apple logo and then some progress.

On iOS 8 Apple added support for third-party keyboards. Try downloading one in place of the original keyboard.
I personally would recommend TouchPal.
Just a little warning though - the name of the keyboard contains a T.

New IOS (7) causes glitch when listening to music over bluetooth

Ever since I updated to IOS 7 (I currently have 7.0.3) every time I listen to music (on my car bluetooth or a blueparrot headset) I get this weird skip in my music EVERYTIME I hit an IPhone button.
If I lock the phone (skips)
If I unlock the phone (skips)
hit the home button (skips)
going into a different music catagory (artist/album/genre) (skips)
using any of the installed apps (facebook/twitter/etc) (skips)
It sounds just like the old CD players that use to skip when there was a bump.....
I have restarted the phone
hard reset the phone (holding home/lock until it shutsdown)
reset network connections
rematched bluetooth connections
updated from 7.0.1 to 7.0.3
nothing works... (7.0.3 actually semms to have gotten WORSE)

IOS 5 sound glitches on iPhone 3GS

Since I've upgraded to iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS, I've been having some sound glitches whene listening to music.
Sometimes, when the song starts, I get a glitch (some kind 1 sec skip) which is really annoying. Are the notifications hard to process?
I don't have anything running on the phone persay. No bluetooth, mail checks every 15 minutes but doesn't seem to be checking when this happens.
What I find weird is, that it didn't do that before. I even tried rebooting the device, I started a song and the glitch came right back.
Something came to my attention, can the artwork of that song be tobig so the iPhone has a hard time loading a particular long?

Yes I have the same issue. Just noticed it. It seems to happen with me after I have paused the track and the phone has locked it's self and then I go to restart the track and I get this glitch within the first 10-15secs of playback.
Pretty annoying and sure it did not do this before upgrading to iOS 5.

Ipad IOS 8 Bluetooth speakers no longer work

Upgraded Ipad 3 to IOS 8 and Boston Acoustics Bluetooth speakers no longer work. The speakers pair with the Ipad, but connection drops when opening any app that attempts to use the bluetooth connection. Seems like the updated IOS blutooth driver is the problem. I tested with Iphone 4, Iphone 5, ipad 2 running IOS 7
and all work fine. Tested with Iphone 6 plus, Ipad 3, Ipad 2 using IOS 8 and none of the IOS 8 devices work... Also did the IOS 8 patch and did not fix this issue.
The Boston Acoustics Speakers supports Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, A2DP v1.2
Seems like Apple can't get the wireless side right, IOS 6 had issues with Wifi and Bluetooth muting, that was corrected in IOS 7, now another wireless problem that makes these $350 speakers a boat anchor..... and not usable.
Perhaps they need to hire some RF / Wireless engineers and do a better job of regression testing... I am a wireless engineer and know that we never make hardware or software upgrades without extensive inter op testing and friendly user trials...

I have this same exact issue with my Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS Digital Cinema 2.1 system. Any other device can connect just fine including all of my previous iPhones and Android devices, but my new iPhone 6 will not keep the connection. Strange because the iPhone 6 will connect and work perfectly fine with my Plantronics Voyager Legend and my JBL Flip bluetooth. What happened guys, Mr. Jobs passed and you all forgot how to do proper QA? This type of foolishness is expected from Microsoft, not Apple.

Ios 8 Bluetooth Sync with My Ford Touch issues. Phone calls????

I own a Ford dealership and I just got the new iphone 6 yesterday and I try to hook it up with any of my Ford or Lincoln cars with My Ford touch with version 3.6 and all I can do it bluetooth audio. When I make a call It will not go through the car. Sometimes even freezes the screen on dash. I click on my phone where you can choose between SYNC, IPHONE, or SPEAKER and they seem dim gray color. Unlike the button below that says cancel that is bright white. Weird. Have anyone found anything out?

This won't help you fix the problem but may help narrow it down. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion that has been updated to version 3.6 and my iPhone works with it. I don't have an iPhone 6 to test it but it does work with an iPhone 5s which is running iOS 8.

IOS 5 Bluetooth Keyboard Bug

I have the Boxwave Keyboard Buddy Case and when I am in the Messages app, it seems to think the virtual keyboard is there, but really isn't.......I can't see the vKB....its just a blank space...this happens up to 5.1.1, but didn't happen before iOS 5.....if I start to scroll the mesages the all appear, but the little scroll bar on the right starts above where the vKB should be....this doesn't happen all the time....and it you scroll the missing keyboard away it goes back to normal and they start at the bottom. not top...but comes back after a while....normally when the spot to type is selected and it rotates to portrait, then back to landscape....and I send a message, the message I just sent goes to the top pushing all other messages out of view....thanks for your help...hope apple fixes it someday....not a big bug though...

No bluetooth detection at all, between my iPad, my iPhone 3GS, my iPhone 4S, and all other bluetooth devices !!!!
Apple do something quickly to fix that please, any other people can confirm this major bug ??

I'm having the same exact problem connecting my iPhone 6 Plus AND my iPad Air 2 to my Windows 7 PC ever since installing iOS 8.2. I am getting the same thing with the wheel by "Other devices" spinning continuously. I even get a pairing code from the PC, but I get a message on both the iPad and iPhone that they can't connect. Both devices can connect to a Bluetooth speaker and my iPhone is able to connect to my car, a Honda CR-V.

IOS 8 Bluetooth problem in '13 Honda Accord

Ever since upgrading to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5s, I am unable to speak on the phone through the Bluetooth system in my 2013 Honda. The phone will connect, but when I try to make a call, the call can not be heard through the Bluetooth unless I switch the call to “private” on my iPhone. When I receive a call, the Bluetooth system will alert me but when i answer I still can't hear anything through the speakers. I can play music and hear it well through the Bluetooth. But not calls. This might be an iOS 8 issue. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Others reported:
Delete network settings and the old pairing at both ends: iPhone and car.
After pairing new, it works for many.
If not: Delete all settings (back to manufactory settings) and delete pairing in the car memory.
After repairing it works for some other.
