IOS 5 Cover Flow really slow on iPhone 4

Hi.
Since I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5, Cover Flow in Music app is terribly slow... Lag to see the covers. I've heard over there that iOS 5 doesn't reduce the size of the covers to a standard, so the iPhone has to resize them everytime you watch them.
And.. When device locked, playing music and you double tap to change the song, the cover also changes with a "long" lag..
Anyone having these problems?

Well, apparently the resizing thing is true.. If your cover is 1000x1000, the iPhone will resize to a lower resolution when it has to show the cover. Imagine doing this for loads of covers in "Cover Flow", the A4 is not that powerful.
Two possibilities, Apple does it on purpose so we buy the "extremely fast" iPhone 4S or it's a bug. Pretty sure about the second one. Everything else runs great with iOS 5. But Music app with Cover Flow and changing songs when locked really *****. Such a pity. Hope they fix this soon.

First Reset it: hold down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work Restore it from a backup in iTunes.
If that doesn't work Restore it as a new device and manually load your apps, music, etc.

Photo Stream moving really slow from Iphone. Took 12 hours for one photo to move from cameral roll to photo stream and then several hours for it to move to computer.

You can't automatically "push" the photo stream photos from your iPad photo stream folder back to your photo stream. You have to get copies of these photos to your iPad's camera roll as new photos for them to be uploaded to your photo stream. There are a couple of ways to do this:
Open the photos one at a time on your iPad and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream.
Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream.
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer full resolution copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Once on your computer you then have to delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll again. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)

Ios 4.3.5 update.Wifi has become really slow on iphone 4

Hi,
After updating to ios 4.3.5 the Wifi has become really slow...the same connection works like ligtning on my computer but it has started taking **** of time in iphone 4.
I haven't jailbroken ,neither I have unlocked my phone.
please help.

My phone's wifi has become pretty much unusable since I upgraded to 4.3.5 two days ago. The connection is intermittent and in addtion it will not reconnect once it has disconnected, I have to reboot the phone before it will reconnect to the wifi and that only works sometimes. Everything worked fine till I upgraded to 4.3.5.
I rely on wifi at the office for business purposes to save on carrier usage costs.
Thank you Apple for screwing it up again and letting me fit the bill for the carrier data overages I will be incurring till you fix this mess. I wish I had not bought this piece of junk. I am really angry and frustrated and I am sure I am not the only one. I was looking at iPads for my field service techs, definetly I will NOT be considering this any longer. I will nevery buy another Apple product ever again.
My reaction is not based only on this single incident. I had issues with wifi and blutooth in some previous versions of the iPhone software. I never had such problems with my Blackberry Bold 9000, the wifi and blutooth were rock solid. Seems Apple just cannot get it right.

Performance issues in iOS- Animations run really slow. (CS5.5/AS3)

I have created an app in CS5.5 for Android and iOS. I have tested on two Android devices and everyingthing works fine. However, on an iPad and iPhone the animations are really slow. Here are some more facts:
1) My project has many scenes and in the problems scene there are upwards of 1,200 frames. But even simple animations run slowly.
2) The frame rate is set for 24 fps.
3) I have created a universal app (iphone and ipad), publish resolution is standard at full screen.
4) Ironically, I have already tried caching as bitmap. That actually slowed my animations even more.
I am truely at the end of the line here and don't have any possible solutions.
I could use some help here. Any possible solutions would help.

Why ios 7 is very slow in iphone 4?

IOS 7 is too slow on iPhone 4

I have recently moved my iPhone 4 to iOs 7, but very disappointed with the performance.
1) Its taking time to load the application. Even the native app like phone, message, notes, contacts.
2) Scrolling(web page in safari, or contact list, etc) is no longer smooth as it was in iOS 6.
3) Typing is also slow, not smooth.
Overall I think its not the experiance apple is known for.
I wish future release of iOS 7 solves the issue. Or at least apple provides way to downgrade iphone 4 back to iOS 6.

Hi i am using apple 4s white color and i bought this phone before 3months ago. Before that time its performace was awesome but after upgrade ios8.02. Its work very slow and touch not perform as not as well before. Apart that apple 5 work good as i checked. apple service center person replied in apple 5 & 6 processor is fast as apple 4s. I am facing some problem last 2week. First one that in my phone upper side network bar, time and battery collom most of the the become hide. 2. Its quite hang when i typing. 3 when i open any application its takes time 3-4 second. In this regards no budy helping my problem even apple customer care and service center person. I have some screen shot as i am facing these problem. And most important thing is that when i checked other apple 4s, performace was same as i feel in my phone slow problem.

Really slow responsive iPhone 4S

So, in the last days, my 8 month old iPhone 4S started to react super slow! about 98 percent of the time. When I am at an appclication (Settings as an example) and want to get to the home screen by pressing the home button of course, and when i press the home button, I have to wait for several seconds... (3-10 seconds) And if i am writing an SMS, and when i press send, it doesnt send it for many seconds... and the iphone kind of stops completely for many seconds when i am doing what the phone is meant to do. This phone is not jailbroken of course. What should I do? Should I send it in to apple? Does the guarantee count when this happends? I do not have insurance. Everything i do reacts slow, even just unlocking the phone!!!

Delete apps from background and Reset. Press home button twice quickly, in new row of icons at screen bottom, hold on an icon until Red Minus Sign appears, tap all the Red Minus Signs. Then Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.

Cover Flow sorting is wacky (not a compilations issue).

I just purchased a 120GB Classic with the hope that I'd be able to browse my collection of music by album artist. After all but giving up hope, it looks like Cover Flow is almost doing it (on purpose or not, I don't know).
Here's the issue: I tag my .mp3s so that on tracks with multiple artists, they're separated by a "/" -- so, for example, on my Aesop Rock album, "None Shall Pass", track 6 has an artist field of, "Aesop Rock/Breeze Brewin/Cage". I always include the artist in the artist field before I put any of the guest artists.
When I sync this to my iPod, the Cover Flow only shows this as one album (there are four tracks scattered throughout the album with different artists). If Cover Flow was sorting purely by artist, it would have multiple covers. So I'm thinking that I figured out a way to get what I want.
Except the iPod seems to randomly decide which albums it wants to treat this way -- some, such as the Kid Rock album "Cocky" (the one with "Picture" with Sheryl Crow"), are shown as two separate albums in Cover Flow. This doesn't make any sense to me.
All the "sort" fields are blank for all the files, so that can't be what's doing it. If I go under the Artist menu, it shows all the artists just as they're written in the tags.
So what's the deal here? How does Cover Flow really work?
[EDIT] Nevermind, I figured it out. Apparently when you sort by artist, it will give me all the songs with just the artist, and then give me the songs with that artist and any other artist (the slash comes after all the letters alphabetically). So if the artist has more than one album, it doesn't group them together by album.
I guess the "sort field" is the only way to fix it for now.

Using the sort field to try to force things together doesn't quite work, and certainly not when the album artist has more than one album with guests. I think you'll also find there are some enumeration issues in the album menu which may cause the wrong cover to be displayed as you progress through the library. See my recent post on Grouping Tracks Into Albums for a somewhat long, but hopefully comprehensive, exposition of the issues.

Cover flow - Sort by Album/Year?

I love the cover flow feature on my iPhone but I am disappointed that it sorts based on Artist name. Is there a setting to make Cover flow - Sort by Album/Year?

Cover flow for playlists

While listening to playlists in cover flow mode on the iPhone, it actually shows the album artwork of all the music on the iPhone rather than only those from the playlist. I was expecting to see only the album artwork of the albums/songs in the playlist similar to what iTunes does on the mac. Is there any setting on the iPhone to configure it to show only the playlist artwork in cover flow mode? Thanks.

I just submitted a suggestion to Apple for a 'smart' Cover Flow which would restrict the displayed albums to the artist/genre/playlist being browsed when the iPhone/Touch is turned landscape.

ok so apple releases an 'ipod classic' with cover flow. really cool. but will the coverflow technology be available in an update for the last version of ipods before the 'classic' (i'm pretty sure i've got the 6th gen). it would really really suck if it wont be...

It's highly unlikely, in fact well nigh impossible that you have an iPod 6 gen as the 6 Generation iPods were just announced today.
Based on the fact when the late 2006 5th gen iPods (also called 5.5) were released with the new search feature, that feature was not made available to the earlier iPods, I say that CoverFlow won't be available for existing iPods.

Problems with iTunes Cover Flow and Windows Vista

I just recently upgraded my computer to Windows Vista Home Premium (32-Bit). I preformed a clean install and every program I have tried so far (Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Age of Empires 3, Halo: Combat Evolved, Microsoft Office XP, etc.) have worked fine, however, iTunes is having some problems (7.4.1.2). First, cover flow does not work right. It can get it to run, but it is super slow. It ran very smoothly on Windows XP, now on Vista it skips every over album cover and is very choppy. It seems like it is running at 3 FPS. Also, none of my videos will play in Quictime or iTunes. The strange thing is I can play the same videos in VLC and GOM and they work great. I just went to nVidia's web site and installed the latest drivers and my games runs fine so I don't think it is a driver issue but I am not sure.
Any advice I would appreciate,

Well - you're not alone. I've got a very high-end video card (nVidia 8600 GTS OC), and am running Windows Vista Ultimate. Every aspect of 3D acceleration works great with my machine (World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2142, Half Life 2, Counterstrike: Source, etc.), except iTunes/Quicktime. I pretty much have the same issues: videos (all - .mov, .mp4) play absolutely horribly in both applications, and cover flow is slow/choppy at best. I think it's an iTunes/Vista issue that Apple has yet to touch, so I'm just waiting for January (I'll buy my first mac, a macbook pro, then), because for the first time in my life, I'll have an installation of iTunes that functions properly. I love iTunes. Just not on Windows machines. It leaves something to be desired.
