IOS 5 software update problems
I updated my iPhone 4S yesterday using an avavilable wi-fi signal, and now, pretty much the only problem I'm having is that when I go into my text messages, it is only showing me #'s as if the person has not been added to my contact list yet. When clicking on the contacts button, I still have all of them, but for whatever reason, wont show up when/if someone sends me a text. I've spoken with Apple care, and they were supposed to call me right back yesterday but never did...I've been trying to mess with it in every which way possible to try and get it resolved, but nothing is working...if anyone else had this problem and figured out a way to resolve it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me, this is so incredibly frustrating, especially considering I use my phone significantly for text messaging.

I bought a new 5s and its front and back camera are not working, showing black image. My phone is IOS 7.1.2 updated, and some one insisted that its is software updation problem, and can be resolved by updating to IOS 8. Kindly suggest.
I have the same issue on my iPhone 5s
I've closed the app and re-booted the phone several times but it did not resolve the issue.
Upgrading to iOS 8.0.2 did not resolve it either.
Erasing the iPhone and restoring from a backup did not resolve it.
I'm not sure what else to do. -

How do I install The IOS 6 Software update on my IPad 3G? Itunes is saying it is up to date but it is not. It says it 5.1.1.
Double tap the home button and bring up the multi-task bar. Hold down on one the apps until they all start to wiggle and display a minus sign. Tap the minus sign and close all of the apps. Tap the home button and close the multi-task bar. Reset the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if you see the same behavior. If you do, the next step to restore from a backup. If that doesn't help, then restore as a new device. If you have to go all the way through restore as a new device and it does not work, then it could be a hardware issue. I've not seen any other posts about screen issues after updates, so one of these should fix it unless there is a problem with the screen. -
How can I update iOS 4.2.1 to the latest iOS if "software update" option is not showing on the page "General"? On my Iphone, it only show "About" and "Usage" . Please help.

I performed an iOS 7 software update on my iPhone yesterday, and now the phone is not working at all. The iPhone screen shows to connect to iTunes to restore. I've have done this, and still the iPhone is not working. What going on?
I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -
Itunes wont detect IOS 5 software update for ipad 2

I am trying to update my ipad to the new IOS 5 software update. However - after i have synced my update and click 'check for update' it states 'This version of the iPad software (4.3.5) is the current version.'
It seems that my itunes does not recognise the new update on the server.

I have a iphone 4s.
I was trying to download ios 6 software update.
Put in a wifi network and plugged in before starting download.
Soon after I hit download it paused and said to choose wifi network before continuing.
It had knocked out my wifi connection.
When I turn the wifi back on and ask it to choose a network it can't find it anymore.
Meanwhile I can't get it to continue to download the ios 6 update.Instead of trying to update OTA connect your phone to your computer with USB abd have the latest itunes open and do it that way. If it says you are not connected click cancel and see if the download continues. iOS 6.1.3 is now the latest so that is what you will be updating to

What's going on? and How to fix it my Leopard Software Update Problem(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

I have an iPhone 3GS and I cannot sync my calendar on the phone with my iCloud calendar. Is this a result of the iOS 7 software updates?
Have you logged into icloud on the iphone? Have you turned on Calendar in settings>icloud? Are you able to connect the iphone with other services on icloud, like contacts?

Having issues opening Safari (Browser) and opening a Google Search, but works intermittently
App store issues, where any app updates freezes and cancels
Connectivity issues, again intermittent.
These issues have been evident since the new Apple 5.1.1 iOS update.
Was wondering if anyone had any Tips to overcome this or whether Apple iOS planned to release another update to fix the items that need fixing on the iPhone 4S.
P.S - Does anyone know the new way of hiding the bookstand as since the prior 5.1 release I am unable to prize the Bookstand in a folder on its own, so again tips and workarounds welcome.

ImtiI encountered problems with the volume of my Ipad 3.
1) Except when I use skype and "Talking Babies", there is no sound coming out of speakers in all applications specially video and music.
2) There is sound when I use the ear phones but will malfunction after a few minutes.
I think this is really a software problem because if it is a hardware issue then the speakers would not work at all. Am I correct?
I hope Apple will have an option to revert back to the old IOS in case the updated software is more of a problem than a solution.
We should be enjoying the New Ipad and not wanting to smash it to the wall!
