IOS 6.1.2 Upgrade-  Battery Drainout, Apps Crashing, Battery Charging issue

After my iOS 6.1.2 upgrade Battery drains out very very fast and Apps Crashing on frequent basis. Called up apple but in vein... Any Workarounds here ?
Till iOS 6.1.1 it was perfectly fine.
The problem is more pathetic with the battery charging. Even though I chagre it for hours, it just drains out in the next couple of hours...

The same problem here.. its just goes on draing out and out...
I have tried several ways of downgrading it but failed..
Try contacting Apple Support in your country.... Else it seems we have no other way then to wait for the 6.1.3 upgrade..
Anyone with any workaround ?

i have an iphone 4 and i have upgraded to ios 5. but after upgrading all my apps disappeared and in the summary tab in itunes it jus shows as other data..! please help

When I went to reload my phone it gave the option of restoring with icloud or itunes so i chose itunes (assuming icloud would have many more bugs). Afterwards, I had no music and 6.6g of other.
What I did was go into itunes, clicked my iphone 4, and clicked on each of the top tabs (summery, info, apps, ringtones, music, etc.) and ensured I had them all clicked onto sync/selected playlist etc.As my phone restored, the 6.6g of other dropped to .99g of other.
Unfortunately, all my songs are gone but everything else seems to be in tact. I don't think there is any way around this issue for now with the new ios 5 update when syncing either an ipad or iphone. I have an ipad 2 but am going to hold off on updating it until apple gets the bugs sorted out because, I'm sure you will agree, getting the music back to where you want it to be is a total nightmare and takes ages to not only pick the right songs and artists to put on it, but also the ones that will fit correctly with the space, depending on the size you have.
    I hope that helps.

  • IOS 7.0.2 - iPhone 5 - calendar app crashing - HELP

iOS 7.0.2 - iPhone 5 - calendar app crashing - how to fix??
I installed iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 the day it was released. No problems. After learning tips/tricks am loving it. 27 Sept 2013 rec'd notification of an update iOS 7.0.2 (bug fixes etc), and did the update. But now every day the calendar app is crashing. I open it and it closes. The only way I can get into it is to search for an event, or when an event alert comes up, hit 'view'. Other wise I can't open the Calendar. Never ever had this problem before. I've tried turning it off/on, but still crashes. I've closed all running back ground apps and did a Restart, Pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake & Home buttons for a few seconds until it shuts down, then the Apple logo appears, and restarts. Calendar still crashes. How can I fix this? Help ... I use my calendar daily.

    Hello there Max,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting already. What I would do next is backup and restore your phone to iTunes.
iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Before you restore from your backup, I would first setup the phone as a new device, then test the calendar app to make sure it works the correct way. Then restore from your backup and verify the Calendar is still working.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • IPhone apps crashing & battery draining, why?

My iPhone apps seem to be crashing after a few seconds including Music, email, facebook, sleepcycle and internet. My battery also seems to be draining really quickly all of a sudden. Today, my battery only lasted 4 hours without me using my phone! Has anyone else experienced this and knows of a fix?

SuperSunT,  Thanks for posting this... as I'm having the same problem.
Both my partner and I have iPhone 4S bought on the day they came out.  We weren't having any problems till last month I noticed my phone had the "lock" icon in the center at the top of the home screen and any apps (this "lock" icon is NOT the rotation lock, it is the one that should normally only show up when the phone is locked).  I could not get rid of it, no matter how many times I locked and unlocked my phone.  When I went to go to the Settings app/page, it was blank.  It was just a light grey background with tiny pinstripes (the usual background of the Settings page).   I was also unsuccessful turning the phone off just using the lock/power button.
I finally had to hard-reset the phone as apps started to not work either.
I've only had the "lock" icon problem once, but I've had the Settings App/page blank several times, and each time I've then been unable to shut off the phone with just the lock/power button... then apps start to malfunction.
The other day it did it and I just let it sit locked for about 10 minutes and it resolved.
I have app crashes from time to time, but not anymore than before.
My partner's phone started having the Settings app/page being blank and being unable to shut off the phone wihtout a hard reset the other day as well!
I do not really want to do a clean install, and HATE when the Genius bar suggest this.  They don't ever suggest this for their Mac products, yet they're so nonchalant with this on the phone.  I know they're two VERY different products, but this is getting to be their "I don't know what's wrong.  Instead of me replacing your phone, you must drive back your hour drive, do this arbitrary thing which may or may not fix the problem, and when it doesn't, bring it back in so we can replace the phone and have it do the same thing again until an update comes out!"
Sorry, can you tell I've had a few too many problems where this is the case!
Anyway... I'm really curious about a few things.  I've not done a clean install since getting iOS 5 (even when I got the 4S I restored it from a 4 backup... but my partner just built his from scratch).  So, I know Game Center will take care of my games.  My e-mails are all stored on the server.  My notes are backed up to the Cloud.  I do have general Cloud backups turned off.  I know I'll need to transfer pictures.  But what other types of stuff do you suggest I should backup?  Basically, I'm asking what are the things you wished you had backed up that you forgot?
And what is this "some apps let you send backups by email" that you speak of?  I've not seen that, but I've also not gone looking for it?  It drives me nuts that some apps have settings within the app, and some have them in the Settings app/page... and even worse, some have both!
Sorry this post is so long, but I've been searching for other people having these problems for a month now... starting with the "lock" icon problem (I figured that was the one identifying thing).  Unfortunately, I just ended up with hundreds of people who couldn't figure out that they had turned on the rotation lock and couldn't turn it back off.
Thanks for your (or anyone else's) help in advance!
P.S.  I'm including pictures of the "lock" problem as well as the blank Settings page!
This first one shows the "lock" icon at the top.  Clearly I am on the "Home" screen and the phone is not locked.
This second one is while I'm in the Settings app.  This was taken the same day, and I just noticed that not only is the "lock" icon not showing, neither is the clock.  I have another screen shot from a different day where I wasn't getting the "lock" icon problem, but the clock was in the middle at the top as it should be.

  • Apps crashing and connectivity issues with 8.3

Has anyone else been experiencing these issues after updating to 8.3?
    - Multiple apps crashing upon startup of the app (according to release notes it was supposed to improve this but made it worse)
    - intermittent Bluetooth connectivity when playing music via Bluetooth in a vehicle
    - Touch ID intermittently working in app store
I made the switch back to Apple and am regretting it immensely. They put out numerous betas of this update before release and still couldn't get it right. They make millions but seems they need to invest in software engineers more than watch designers that are just imitating what's already been out. So much for innovation. Please get this fixed ASAP

Same here, I have an iPhone 6. After updating to 8.3 the phone started to lag, the battery consumption went crazy, the phone started to overheat and the games started to stutter and freeze for short periods of time. From what I've read on the internet this update is good for 5s or lower models but for 6 and 6+ it's a lot worse. This is unacceptable since Apple has only 5 phone models compatible with iOS 8 and they have all the resources and time to make the things bette.

  • IOS 5.1.1 upgrade: hot while usage and battery drain

Since iOS 5.0.1 I never had. Artery problem. I used my iPhone from 12.2011 without any battery issues. But after recent upgrade to 5.1.1 I found that while using usual apps, including very simple like card game, my iPhone became very, uncomfortable hot near sim slot location. I was tried to reinstall sim card several times - no effect. Battery drain now terrible in active mode, about 1 percent per one or couple of minutes.
In a sleeping mode all the same - less than 0.5% per hour, but if to start using any application, device became hot and drain starting.
Any similar thigs or ideas? I read a discussion when two recharge cycles solved this problem, but it doesn't help me.

here is a general description of the batteries. it is expected that sometimes the product will get warm, especially when charging. Another thing to look at is multi-tasking which could be the result of some battery drainage, bluetooth running in the backround, a high brightness setting, wi-fi ALWAYS enabled even when outside of a wi-fi zone especially because it will be constantly searching for networks. For information about multi-tasking, try this:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4211
Worst comes to worst, try transfering all of your information to the computer, and try a restore as new, than transfer your information back to the iphone in the event it could be a software issue. here are some helpful articles to help you with this.
By following these articles in order, you will be able to save content to your computer from the iOS device.

  • I purchased an upgrade for an app, but it charged me twice, how do I fix this?

It declined my card once, so I retried and it charged me again! It also has not upgraded and I have messaged the app producers.

If you've been overcharged and/or haven't received the item then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • 5s 7.0.3 upgrade apps crash now

    Upgraded last night:
    Apps crashing
    Rebooted -> still crashing
Turned off cell data and back on -> still crashing
Removed one of the apps and reinstalled, rebooted -> still crashing
    IDEAS requested?
    Thanks

The voicemail password has always been there. Try a reset on your phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If it still prompts for the password, you will need to contact your carrier for help, as voicemail is a carrier function.

  • Message app crashes a lot

Does any of you using iPhone 4 with iOS 5 installed and have the Message app crash daily? It crashes (not always) at the time I pick up a conversation and start typing Chinese using Pinyin input method. I think there is bug but not sure. I am just wondering how many of you out there having the same device and problem as I do and please feel free to leave a feedback.

Chinese handwriting input (simplified or traditional) crashes all over the places with multiple apps. The respones of displaying the list of selected words after the handwriting input is slower than 4.x but the main problem is that it causes the apps to crash when selecting some specific words, this makes my iPhone4 become useless. Pls fix it quick.
    I am using iPhone4 with iOS5 (9A334).

  • Battery drying up after IOS 6.0.1 upgrade in iPad 3

    Somebody please help...
My iPad 3 battery is drying up fast after the IOS 6.0.1 upgrade.
In a matter of half an hour the battery has gone down by 10% which is really surprising and sad. Mine is a wifi model and without even playing games or any other battery eating graphics, this is now acting crazy even if I do normal web browsing.
This iPad is just a day old...yes I took this one yesterday...and by now only Apple broke my heart...Apple should come up with a new update..
Is anyone out here got this same issues?

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • After upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 in my iPhone 4 the battery lasts less by a 30%, it´s only me?

After upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 the load of the battery lasts less by 30% with the same use it had before. So far I read the upgrade was to correct the battery duration flaw. So ¿What happened?

You only get one download of movies.
It is your responsibility to backup your purchases.

  • Ipad 2 with IOS 6 problems with apps and battery

Ok, I had updated my iPad the day of or day after the IOS 6 came out and at first I had no problems with it. Except now, for some reason I am starting to have problems with different apps and with the battery life.  First off within 15 minutes, it went down to almost 90% charge with it being a full charge and me hardly using any apps and closing the ones I wasn't using (which was just safari and Facebook open). But the problem I have been having is that I cannot chat with my friends on the Facebook app now because it will show its loading the chat box and then freeze up.  With pages and numbers, they seem to take longer than usual to load up which is around 10 seconds or so before I can do anything.  I had uninstalled and reinstalled the apps with no effect and tried restarting my iPad. It also seems like my iPad is taking longer to shut down and turn on than usual even though i make sure all the apps are closed before turning it off.  (the location services, bluetooth, notifications, FaceTime, messages, and limit ad tracking is all turned off to help with battery life and i don't use them.)Is there any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem?

am using iphone 3g and it is having currently IOS 4.1 version, till what IOS version can i upgrade ? please help me many of my apps are not working esp whatsapp.

iOS 4.2.1 is the latest version of iOS for the 3G.
Facebook and Whatsapp both require 4.3 or higher.
If you want to use those apps, either use the old version that should be in your iTunes library or upgrade the hardware to a 3GS or newer device.

Have you checked to see if the Apps have been placed in an App folder?
Try swiping down from the middle of the screen so the search bar appears. Type the name of the App and if the App appears it is indeed on your phone.
You could also try restarting your device by holding the power and home button until the Apple logo appears.
