Ios 6.1.3 no widescreen video after update

so I updated my ipad 2 to the latest ios 6.1.3 last night and now none of my videos in itunes will play in widescreen when flipping the ipad around. I've checked settings and don't have the screen lock on, i've restarted.
this is a problem.

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • HT4623 I updated my ipad to iOS 6 yesterday and it worked immediately after update.  I left home for about 4 hours and when I returned I was uable to get my ipad to come up. I only have a black screen.  When I press the on off button nothing happens.

I updated my ipad to iOS 6 yesterday and it worked immediately after updating my ipad worked as it should.  I left and came back in about 4 hours and have a black screen.  When I press the on off button nothing happens.  Help.

Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep/on/off and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Has anyone suffered failure of video after updating to ios4.3.3

After updating the ios4.3.3 (8J3) cannot run movies or slideshow movies. Just get the message No Videos You can download videos from iTunes.
How do I get back to ios4.3.2?

I don't fully understand what's involved but I've found that a System Reset cures many ills.  It's easy, quick, harmless and it's not part of a Restore:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home  button  simultaneously  until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to  power off" text if  it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also,  you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide.  Pay special   attention to page 162.  Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1   with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the    hardware.

Finally,   the User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less    comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.

  • IOS 8.1.3 problems with email after update

Hi i have problems accessing my email accounts after update to iOS 8.3.1 , I tried to delete all accounts but I still have the same problems.

Hello, so, I was having the same issue including my memory showing 0 GB available. I tried all of these suggestions and couldn't make it work, here's what finally worked for me:
on your Iphone, Go to Settings > iCloud > Find My Iphone and Turn it OFF.
That worked for me and now shows the free GB I truly have left and no longer have issues with my email. Hope this helps if it does please let me know and pass it along.
    Thank you :-)

  • Can't access Video after updating to IOS 4.2.1

I have just updated my iPod Touch 2nd gen and now every time I try and go on the Videos I just get a blank white screen, and it returns to the Home Screen.
Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to get the Videos working?

    Update:
    - after they gave me a new iPod Touch 3rd gen on factory 3.1, I synced and everything worked fine as I stated above (with 5 movies, 15 TV shows and about 1000 music videos).
    - I upgraded to 4.2.1 and same thing happened, pressing music icon gives me white screen for roughly 10 seconds then back to home.
    - I can access videos through music icon however.
    - I then wiped everything and retored to factory on 4.2.1 and synced only Apps, movies, TVS shows... all worked well.
    - When I synced music videos, I did them about 200 at a time this time around. Each time upon completion going back and pressing music icon. As I added more videos the wait time on the white screen after pressing videos icon got noticeably longer, until I got up to about 700-800 music videos, then it would just white screen for 10 seconds and back to home.
    - I then started removing videos and the functionality came back, leading me to believe I have found a repeatable bug, which is what I will discuss with Apple shortly.
For those of you having the same issue, how many music videos do you have? Through trial and error I have found it to be around the 600-800 mark the video icon stops working.
Please try removing some of your music videos so you have about 200-400 and let me know if your functionality comes back.

  • Thunderbolt dock fails to initialize video after update

Yosemite continues to be the buggiest OS X upgrade I've used in quite some time, if not ever.
After this most recent update my 2560x1440 display does not come up when I get to the office and plug in my 2012 Macbook Pro Retina and Belkin's original Thunderbolt dock. I tried it with a newer dock (Elgato's Thunderbolt 2 dock) and experienced the same issue. Anytime I disconnect and reconnect I have to power cycle the entire dock to get my video back. I am using a mini displayport to display port cable plugged into the dock's free thunderbolt port.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

You do not need to use cleaning programs. They can destroy your computer operation as they may already have done.

After un-installing, run this program to make sure you got all the pieces.

  • 1280x720 mp4 videos stop playing video after update, only sound works

this is what appears in the inspector:
    h264, 1280QTKitMultiplicationSignWithSpaces720, Milhões
    AAC, Estéreo (L R), 48,000 kHz
Only sound, no video anymore. It worked fine until the 9.1 iTunes update. Now I can only see the video with the VLC player.
I have another one that works fine(both sound and video) :
    H.264, 960QTKitMultiplicationSignWithSpaces540, Milhões
    AAC, Estéreo (L R), 44,100 kHz

Any help ? Thank you in advance. This happened after iTunes update.

  • Playlist not playing all videos after update

I updated to 5.1, and my video playlists are no longer working correctly.  It will play the first video, then stop and the screen saver will turn on.  If I try to restart the video, I get the spinning circle that never goes away.  If I close iTunes and re-open it, I can start the video again, but it will again stop after the first one.  Everything was working fine until the last update to 5.1.
Any idea how I can either fix this, or go back to before the last update?
    Thanks in advance!

OK, so the second macs library is visible from the tv, you can navigate the videos in that library but when you try to play a video it won't. I'm still not clear whether this is all videos or just some, but meantime try this.
From itunes select a troublesome video, choose file/show in finder and note the location of the original file.
From itunes (not the finder) delete the file and choose keep files when prompted.
Drag the original file from the finder back into itunes.
    Does this help.

  • My touch screen is not responding while viewing a video after update OS 3.0

After upgrading to 3.0 I can't access the video controls by taping the screen while it's playing. I've tapped all over the screen and nothing. They appear just as the video plays but after they go away I can't get them back. If I want to stop playing the video I need to hit home and close the app. This happens in YouTube, videos and video podcasts. The touch screen works fine in all other apps.

Ok- after thinking about it and noticing another post about the touch screen being less responsive in 3.0, I wiped the screen down with my shirt and found that it started working better. So I cleaned the glass with glass cleaner and it works like before. I guess they made it a little harder to accidentally select something on the screen when you didn't mean to. So any buildup of dirt or oils from your fingers will interfere with the electrostatic touch screen. Hopefully problem solved.

  • Cant play video after update

Hi, First off sorry if this is posted somewhere else on how to fix this or what the issue is. I am not very computer friendly. I open iTunes and it said to update I did, well after I did update I cant play any video/movies of any kind. It pops up with a message saying the program isn't working and that Windows is shutting it down and will let me know when there is a soultion to my problem. Can some one please let me know what I can do to fix this? I have a HP Pavilion beyond that I have no idea if you need any other info. I do use windows. Thank you

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions..
Try uninstalling then reinstalling the latest version of Flash.
    Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
    Then repair disk permissions...
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • Problem loading videos after update

i recently update my phone to the iso 8.2 and now no videos online will load. I'm not sure what's going on.

I've seen a few threads on this and on some blogs.
Seems there are a few things you could try, before the nuclear approach.
    * Log out of the store and log back in
    * Or, download app to iTunes and sync to iTunes
    * Or, press and hold the power button until the slider shows, then shut it down. Restart.
This did happen to me with a different app (if it the same issue) and the restarting the device fixed it.

  • Lost music and video after updating podcasts

For some reason all the music and videos on my iPod have disappeared, or I should say become inaccessible as it says I have none but the space they were taking up
is still in use, so they are somewhere on my iPod.
I was downloading a few new podcasts via a wi-fi connection and afterwards it "updated" my library and then the music and videos were gone (podcasts remained)
    Help!

    Have you reset your iPod?
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doe snot work I would next try resyncing.
