Ios 6.1 bluetooth problems

Does anyone out there have an iPhone 4S and a Ford Focus where bluetooth through the stereo is working.  I cant pair the phone and stereo.  I thought that 6.1 was suppose to fix this. I have had 2 of these phones now and no luck.  Totally frustrated

I doubt Apple will do anything to fix their own mess. We just have to go out and buy new cars to suit our Iphones. I'm sure Apple have a list of cars they recommend we buy. LOL I'm also sure Samsung won't exploit the situation either.
In a galaxy a long long time ago, their was a company named Microsoft who earned a negative rep for providing rushed unstable product that required McGyver fixes...I'm thinking Apple needs to refocus on it's core ambitions.

  • IOS 5.1 bluetooth problem with LG HBS-700

After upgrading to iOS 5.1, my LG HBS-700 bluetooth headset still plays music from my iPhone, but the music controls no longer work (play/pause, next/last track).  The phone functionality (start/answer call) still works.  Is anyone else having these sorts of problems?  I 'forgot' the device and re-connected it, but that did not correct the problem.  I suspect its in one of the sub-functions of bluetooth signalling, but I'm not familiar enough with the standard to correctly designate it (I suspect someone in Apple knows it off the top of their head ._. )
    Thank you.

Oddly enough I didn't have any problems with the HBS-700 on my iPhone 4 running IOS 6. However I got an iPhone 5 recently and noticed today the exact same thing you describe. Call and volume controls work fine, but I have no control at all of any music playing. This totally *****, but I have no idea if its a problem that Apple needs to correct or a problem with the LG which would mean it can't be fixed. Totally frustrated.

  • How to Solve Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Problems on your iOS Device?

Do you have any problem with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iOS Device? Please read these steps carefully and follow it!
These Steps that I am sharing are TESTED by 10 iOS users what had problems with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or both and was successful
    - Please note that Resetting/Factory Resetting/Hard Resetting or Recovering or un-jailbreaking your device will not work at all -
To Solve Wi-Fi Problems Follow these steps (But before doing anything please restart your iOS Device and see if you still have network problems):
Step 1 Go to Settings > General > Reset > Rest Network Settings and Reset your Network Settings and wait until your device re-boots
Step 2 Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and see if you can connect to your Wi-Fi If you can't then go to next step
Step 3 Go to Settings > Airplane Mode and turn on Airplane Mode and shut down your device. Go to your network provider and ask to restart the Modem or do it your self (Just unplug power cord and plug it back in) You have to wait 30 seconds.
Step 4 Boot your device and go to Settings > Airplane Mode and this time turn if off and go to Wi-Fi and see if you can connect it again. If you can't then go to next step - Note: If you are going on to Step 5 it means that your device is experiencing Critical System Error that cannot be fixed easily -
Step 5 Go your laptop/desktop and open your browser then type this on the webpage search bar 192.168.0.1 and click enter. If it doesn't work then go and ask your network provider for an address for your modem/internet settings.
Step 6 Change your modem/internet settings to no password and make it "available/visible for everyone" and go to your iOS device and got to Settings > Wi-Fi and see if it works this time. If it still doesn't work go to next step - Note: If you are going on to the next step it means you are experiencing Critical System Error that had been cause by glitch/bug -
Step 7 Connect your iOS Device to iTunes on your laptop/desktop and update your iOS version -Note: this process if basically re-installing your operating system- If you can't update if because the new update if not available you have to wait for next update unfortunately
Step 8 After updating your iOS Device Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and see if it connects to your Wi-Fi. It normally fixes the problem but if it still doesn't, it means your device is experiencing hardware problem. Visit your local Apple Retail Store or reseller and ask them for complimentary/device-exchange/warranty help or go to Apple website for online support: www.apple.com/support/ for better support.
To Solve Bluetooth Problem all you need to do is resetting (not factory resetting) your device and see if it works, if it doesn't you will need to update your iOS or Google for more technical troubleshooting because it could be your pairing device's problem. Visit www.apple.com/support/ for better support.
If anyone of you had these experiences and was successful troubleshooting please do share your experience. I will also be avaliable to answer your questions if you have one! Please do share your openions about my post if you have one

If you don't mind, would you do that for me please?

  • IOS 8.1.1 bluetooth problem in Mazda persists

Since the launch of iOS 8, the bluetooth in my Mazda 3 does not auto connect to my iPhone 5 when placing a phone call.  Music stream, incoming calls, and any other audio work perfectly fine.  iOS 8.1 and 8.1.1 did not fix the problem.  Mazda points the finger at Apple, Apple points the finger at Mazda.  When is this issue going to be resolved since I know I am not the only one out there that experiences this issue.  Other manufactures are seeing the problem as well and is not isolated to just Mazda.  Bluetooth is a requirement in some states and on all federal installations, so clearly the bluetooth being partially broken is kinda redundant if you ask me.  Suggestions and an estimated time of releasing a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Except that most of us had no issue with ios7xx , can still connect those devices and had no issues until the last several ios8 updates
Irrelevant.  Whenever Apple prepares a new iOS update, all other related tech companies are advised, far in advance of the release (as in, like MONTHS ahead of time), what changes will be made.  That includes app developers, email providers, website managers, and Bluetooth accessory manufacturers, just to name a few.  And if they want their products/services to be compatible with iOS devices, then it is their responsibility to make the required adjustments.  If they fail to make required adjustments, then it's also their responsibility to advise their customers, even before the iOS release, that their products/services will not be compatible with the new iOS.
Technology changes.  That's how it works.
iOS 8 is different from iOS 7.  The way the Bluetooth interfaces is also different.  If the accessory is not updated to a firmware version (again, the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide that and the responsibility of the consumer to install or update it) that is compatible, then it will not work properly.

  • Bluetooth problem on iOS 6!

I have Beats Wireless, and since upgrading to iOS 6, has presented problems with the bluetooth connection. I was wondering if anyone has this problem and if Apple will make a new update to fix this problem.
    Thank You.

I have bluetooth problem with Creative Sound Blasteraxx SBX 20 when I upgraded iphone4, ipad2 and ipad3 to ios 6.
There seemed the bluetooth session is prone to some interruptions. The music stopped playing but the bluetooth session is inact. The sound blaster has blue led and iphone4 show " connected". I will to reset by turning off the bluetooth and reconnect again. Then only will the music from iphone4 is played at sound blasteraxx SBX20. I have to kept doing this again and again when the music stopped. This does not happen before the upgrade. I used Creative BT-D5 a bluetooth socket connector to iphone4 and paired it with Sound Blasteraxx SBX20. I played for hours without any session being lost. I have seen iphone wifi suddenly went from "connected" to " not connected" in iphone4 setting. Before upgrade the disconnection would never appear on its own. I suspect the ios bluetooth and wifi are prone to interruption and they cannot prrform automatically recovery. It needs manual reset to get bluetooth and wifi working.

  • Ios 8 bluetooth problem!!!!

    Good evening
i used to connect my iphone 5 with ios 7 to my car stereo (sony mex-bt4100u) via bluetooth, for play music, making and answering calls. After i installed the ios 8 this is not possible to be. Now everytime i connect it to the car stereo, it start playing a beep sound and it doesn't let me change function. I downgrade to ios 7 and the problem fixed, so now i'm sure that the problem is a bug to ios 8 with bluetooth.(the same happened with the ipad)

iOS 8.0.2 DO NOT solve the problem!

  • Since updating to iOS 5, my bluetooth and signal have been destroyed. Before the update, the phone worked perfectly, connecting to my bluetooth in car for both calls and music. Reception was also perfect. Now, my bluetooth doesnt work, and I cant be heard

Since I updated my iphone 4 software from 4.3.3/4.3.5 - bought brand new only 2 weeks before the update came out - to iOS 5, my bluetooth no longer works in me ford fiesta and when I ring people, they literally can not hear a word I say. It has nothing to do with poor signal areas as they are the same areas I was in with the same phone before the software update! i have even sent for a replacement phone and received a reconditioned phone (after paying excess charge - JOKE!) and the same problem occured when I updated again. I cannot believe there is no downgrade as this iOS 5 is a shambles and to be honest, I see very little difference in terms of apps and photos so i have no idea why apple are recommending this upgrade!
Is there anything I can do to improve the fact that nobody can hear me on the phone when I speak?!! Or are apple going to insist I keep a phone that is of no use to me if I can't actually use it as a PHONE!
    Please please help!

    Hi,
Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all??

  • After ios 5 update, bluetooth on ipod touch not funcioning-keynote app no longer pairing with ipad

Since the ios 5 update--bluetooth longer funcioning on ipod touch.  iPad no longer syncing with keynote remote app on ipod touch.  My iPad no longer sees the iPod touch.  The Bluetooth indicator does not come on or flash on the ipod touch.

I've got a fix, even for  those who don't have hotspot (like me) who want to get the ipad and iphone talking over bluetooth again.
First, I should say that I said when I got my 4s, the problem was solved. It was not. I was just connecting via wifi, but I wanted bluetooth back.
Here is how I got it back without hotspot.
    1. Launch keynote on one device and the remote on the other as you normall would.
    2. Find another app that bluetooth links ipad and iphone (I used 'pictransfer light'). Install on both devices and launch on both devices. Follow the promt to get a bluetooth sync.
    3. Double push the home button both devices to pull up the multi-tasking and open keynote and keynote remote on the relevant devices.
    4. In keynote, go to settings; advances; remote. You should now be able to get the remote to link (you may, on the device running the remote, need to hit settings and then 'new keynote link'.
Once I launched pictransfer, the bluetooth logo was blue on both devices the whole time I ran through the other steps. I suspect that that was also the point of using the hotspot service.
Also noteworthy: I am yet to try this 'in the field'. For all I know, this won't keep a connection for as long as one might need. I'll find out on Thursday when I rely on the remote for 90min. On the positive side, I was able to keep the connection even when I double clicked home and closed pictransfer while leaving keynote and keynote remote open...
This work-around worked -- I found that as long as I launched the "Pictransfer for iPad Lite" app just before the presentation that it seemed to work fine.  However, if Bluetooth gets turned off or you disconnect I think you will have to repeat the work-around -- nice find.
Apple really needs to fix this.  They even have a posted document describing how to link two devices by Bluetooth and the truth is that it just does not work as they say.  They need to add whatever code into the Keynote & Keynote Remote apps to initiate bluetooth to connect the devices.  It's fine if it prefers WiFi, but it should give you the bluetooth option as well.

  • IOS 8.3 bluetooth bug...ugh!!!

So, Apple has done it again with iOS 8.3. I am an aircraft pilot. EVERYTHING I do is on my iPad. I just recently updated to iOS 8.3. Well, I went to take a flight yesterday, and my bluetooth GPS antenna would not connect. (yes, I have paper charts...but it's no fun trying to fly that way.) After 3 reboots, several forget device/connect to device...I got nowhere. Well, I didn't fly that day. However I managed to waste a lot of time going out to the airport, preflighting the airplane, and driving back home that day. I know this sounds like "new world problems". But aren't apple products supposed to "just work"?
Well, I got back home last night and found warnings posted all over every aviation webpage/blog/forum about this bug. It has been confirmed by several companies techies and they have ALL stated that this is an Apple error. Apple has also confirmed this.
    sources...

    http://bad-elf.com/blogs/bad-elf/18013536-alert-compatibility-issue-with-apple-i os-8-3-and-external-gps-receivers
I am now looking for solutions.... Some have downgraded their iPads back to 8.2. I really don't want to have to do this. But many people have blogged that the iOS 8.4 Beta does not fix the issue either. Thanks Apple....
I have all Apple products, and have been an ALL Apple consumer for the past 10 years. But this is unacceptable. Oh , by the way, all the pilots with Android devices are still flying without issue. I never thought I would EVER say this...  But if this issue is not fixed VERY soon, I will be shopping for a new android device. I do NOT relish this thought, but every day with the iOS 8.3 bluetooth bug, is a day that I CAN'T FLY WITH GPS!!!!
I am sure other venues besides aviation are affected by this....       Any other solutions or rumors from the community are greatly appreciated.
    Frustrated pilot.

By the way, my BT is working just fine with 8.3

  • Iphone 4s ios 6.1.2 problems with 3G

    iphone 4s ios 6.1.2 problems with 3G
3G network is going to shutdown after voice call.

    Bad news guys.
    My stuff doesn't work anymore.
No WIFI and i don't for Bluetooth.
I've reinstaledl the 6.1.2 using iTunes with the 4S as new but that was not a good idea ... Maps of my coPilot can't be downloaded because no wifi.
Apple take a quick action to solve this issue ... iPhone is one of my professional tools ... If no solution by the end of next week ... Bye bye iOS and welcome Android ...
PS: no problem with 6.1.2 on my iPad 2 WIFI.

  • IOS 8 & Bose Bluetooth

I have an iPhone 5s & Bose Bluetooth headset. Before upgrading to iOS 8 & 8.0.2, I could answer a call on my headset by turning it on and the call would be routed to the headset. Now, in iOS 8.0.2, when I turn my headset on to answer, the call is answered, but routed to my phone. I actually have to go to the phone and choose the Bose headset. Once the headset is chosen, everything acts as expected. If I were to leave the headset on and take the call via the device, it also acts as expected.
This is obviously a bug. Any ideas if this is being addressed in the updates?

Same problem for me (using headset Jabra BT2050 with iPhone6 iOS 8) ... still present with iOS 8.1.3
It's not a bluetooth pairing issue and the only workaround I found is this below
    - Setting/General/Accessibility/Call Audio Routing (set Headset, instead of Automatic)
but in this way it uses headset (if connected) even if you answer sliding the iPhone
That's quite incredible from Apple, while using the state of the art for device and iOS (the best iOS and iPhone ever)
I've reported the same issue here
iOS 8 and bluetooth headset call answer issue

  • IOS 6 wifi connectivity problem with iPhone 4s

After recently updating both my iPad 3 and iPhone 4S to iOS 6, I began to have problems with my wifi connection on my iPhone. When trying to connect to my home wifi, the iPhone seems to connect but then brings up the "Log In" screen with an Apple website loaded saying the page cannot be found. However my iPad, again also recently updated to iOS 6, has no problem connecting to wifi. Has anyone else experienced this conflict and is Apple working to correct this? My router is a standard U-Verse "2 wire" device. I have performed all the quick fixes I could think of such as restarting the router, restarting my phone etc. please help!

I have a similar fault with my Lexus ct200h fsport, updated to ios 8.1.1 on my iphone4s 64, and the bluetooth sometimes disconnects during calls then re-connects again (by this time the person on the end has hung up)  .but bluetooth audio works fine. very frustrating!!

  • IOS 7 GM Bluetooth say connected but does not play.

I've been using iOS 7 and bluetooth stereo on my iPhone says connected to my Pioneer stereo, but nothing plays, The stereo also says not connected. Has anyone had this bug? I hope apple fixes this before official release because my Nexus 4 connects perfectly. It's an iOS issue.

Had the same problem connecteing with USB to my stereo.
it was suggested I do this by user lllaass
<Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.>
    And it worked for me.
