IOS 6 and FaceBook Bithdays
I have turned on the FaceBook calendar option for my iPad with the new iOS6 but only events are showing up in the calendar and NOT birthdays. How do I get birthdays to show up in my calendar?
From what I understand, you need to sync your contacts with Facebook, which syncs the birthdays too. Then under the calendar app you should see them, if not, press the "Calendars" button (top-left), scroll down to "Others", and there should be a "Birthdays" calendar, just enable it. If this doesn't work or you don't want to sync the contacts, I guess you'll have to subscribe to the Facebook calendar by adding it yourself. A google search should help, else you can ask me, as that's what I'm doing.

I downloaded ios6 last night and now all the photos on my group pages are distorted. My timeline is fine and if I open Facebook in safari it is fine but when I open the Facebook app the group photos are huge and can only be viewed when individually opened.
I have uninstalled Facebook are reinstalled, I have done a soft start, called apple and notified Facebook, no resolve.

ValerieThank you randers4. Apparently you have to have the locations settings 'ON' on facebook and the iPhone for it all to work - simple really when you think about it.

I upgraded my new iPad (iPad 3) to IOS 6 and everything went well except Siri won’t launch apps. When asked say “launch Facebook” Siri responds with “it doesn’t look like you have an app named Facebook” and I get the same results when trying to launch any app. Siri works for everything else it just won’t launch apps. Any ideas? Thanks.
I have this same problem... Seems like nobody else does. Siri won't launch any apps for me, including native apps.

I just downloaded the new IOS 7 update, and noticed that in the top slid down menu. I lost my twitter and facebook status inputs. Where you could write status with out opening the apps. I would love this back !!
Tell Apple.
No one in these user to user technical support forums can make it magically happen.
Although if there's a setting to change it, that would be covered in the User's Guide. -

Every time I upload photos to Facebook it connects through an IOS folder and attaches to old comments etc, how do I stop this and just upload normally
If you read the user tip you will see that you do not access your photos from the finder but from the upload window in your browser when you log into Facebook and go to upload - in the upload window the media browser in the lawer left hand corner - media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

Hi. I just upgraded my iPad 2 to the new iOS 6, and now a website that I use all the time for school is crashing every time I open it to get to my classes and assignments. This is very frustrating since I use my iPad frequently during school. I've already tried rebooting my iPad and closing all applications, and clearing cookies in Safari, nothing has fixed this so far. I feel like it must be related to the update since this did not happen before yesterday when I updated. :( please help!
The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).
dont need to delete the facebook app! just delete your integrate account from settings

Facebook and Facebook Messenger message push notifications not working?
I have a 4th generation iPod touch running iOS 6.1.5 and an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4. On my iPod touch, Facebook and Facebook Messenger give me notifications for everything. On my iPhone, the Facebook app gives me every notification except for messages. Facebook Messenger, on the other hand, doesn't give me any kind of notification aside from the in-app notifications. I've been missing important messages on my iPhone because of this. I've set all notifications settings on my iPhone to "on." I turned on all the notifications settings in the notification center, the apps themselves, and even the Facebook integrated settings under Settings > Facebook. I also tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling, to hard booting, to logging in and out of the applications, and I even turned off Facebook platform on the computer. I was wondering if this has something to do with being online on both my iPod touch and my iPhone, but my mom has an iPad 3 (I think?) and an iPhone 5s and she never has notification problems. I've already tried Googling my problem up, but none of the solutions worked. I really hope you guys can help me. Thanks a ton in advance!
I've already tried reinstalling and restarting both devices. I now get comment notifications on my ipad but no chat and still nothing on my phone. I don't understand what happened. It was working 2 hours ago.

I have ios 7 and lately when i go to settings-cellular and try to turn off cellular data for some apps it doesnt work. As i turn off cellular data for one app immideately after i exit settings and re-enter settings cellular data for that same app goes back on again by itself. That happens for most of my apps and is reqlly annoying. Whats more annoying is that when i am not using wifi even though the settings for cellular data for safari or facebook or some other app are turned on (since i cant turn them off as i mentioned) i get the message that cellular data is turned off for this app and i cant use the internet at all on cellular data. I have reset to factory settings and restored from backup and the problem persists. Is there some help or tips you can offer me?
Did you get anywhere with this? I'm considering wiping it and setting it up as a new device.

i am not getting notification on most of my apps, e.g twitter and facebook...except i go to the app and refreshed manually. its an iphone 4 and running on ios5...i have gone through everything and its still the same..help please........
I seem to be having the same problem on my brand new iPhone 4S. Everything was working fine on the phone until I updated to iOS 5.1.1, but now I no longer receive push notifications for the native Mail app, Instagram, or the Facebook app. I still seem to be receiving SMS texts and iMessages via push, but the aforementioned apps need to be opened before I can receive missed notifications (having them open in the background seems to make no difference).

Unable to view google and facebook in safari
Unable to view google and facebook in safari on ios 7.0.3 on my ipad mini. The page is trying to reload repeatedly and chrome browser is written on the tab where google/Facebook should be.
I am not sure of the reasons but that is the normal
appearance in Safari, at least it is what I have seen. I think the
issue is how Safari handles things rather than what RoboHelp
produces.
In looking at other help products before going for RoboHelp,
did you download some trial versions of other products and have you
checked their output in Safari?
Maybe someone with more knowledge of Safari can comment?
For what it may be worth, only 1.3% of the visitors to my
site use Safari so that wouldn't upset me too much. Of course the
percentage may be different and more important for you. I suspect
Safari users are used to such things.
Right or wrong, IE and Firefox are the biggies. -
How come my iCloud, messages, twitter, and facebook settings will not let me select them?

ARe you provisioned by your cell provider to use MMS?
Last option is to contact your cell provider as MMS is a carrier feature. -
IPhone 3gs keeps crashing when using camera app and Facebook
My iPhone 3Gs is on its last legs, has been for a while, but I can't afford to upgrade just yet.
It keeps switching off, screen fades to black, when I use both the camera app and Facebook. I then have to reboot. It's not a battery issue, as it happens regardless of whether there's 90% or 9% battery life left, but just seems to happen randomly.
Today, it crashed when I pressed the shutter 'button' to take a photo, yesterday it was while I was selecting a focus point. Really frustrating, as I use the camera a lot. Facebook crashes the phone randomly, too.
This morning, I hung up on a call, then the phone died.
It's running ios5 now but has been doing it for a few months on previous versions of ios, too.
I've tried restoring to factory settings, but that has done nothing.
Any help you can give, much appreciated, thanks!its not your phone bud im having the same problem to keeps crashing and i know its not that the phone is old unless you call 2days old as got it from apple store buch st glasgow on the 14th dec 2011 its an ios issue im sure as my last 1 updated to ios 5 and it wouldnt read sims no longer after speaking to apple they agreed to replace my handset as they are aware that the ios is frying some 3gs model mines was left a brick ie paper weight so if mines is crashing ect i cant even use the camera as it sticks then switches off apple need to sort this ios 5 out
