IOS 6 is not downloading past the firmware update. Now phone is stuck in restore mode
Any help at all would be great
Disconnect your iPhone
Hold down the Home and Power button until it shuts off if necessary
Hold down the Home button for 20 seconds
Connect it to your computer after 20 seconds but continue to hold down the Home button
Wait for iTunes to show up and acknowledge you are in recovery mode
Restore your iPhone

If a firmware update has failed during installation and the firmware becomes damaged as a result then there is a way to restore the computer's original firmware.
It's necessary to download certain software from Apple and burn it to CD. Of course this means another Mac (in working order) is required.

I tried to update my iPad 2 with the iOS 6.0. Now I am stuck in restore mode. I get "unknown" errors 3014 and sometimes -1. Any ideas?
Try a hard reset: hold the power and home buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

while attempting the first download the error 8006 was displayed, i reset and was able to download the software update.

I have had problems with the internet connection with my IPhone 5. I have tried to restore the software to see if that would make a difference.
I have tried now for at least 10 times to restore the software. The phone is locked now in restore mode, and when I get to the end of the restore to verify with the server, i get a consistent unknown error message. Sometimes is says my phone cannot be found.
The phone has the connect to Itunes on the screen and cannot be used.
I am running out of patience now....need urgent help!!
What to do?Contact Apple support for warranty service.

After i do the run and you install something i forget what you call it a little box appears saying shall the computer user or the administrator have access. Nothing happens after that box appears and a selection is made
Save the file to the desktop instead of using the Run option.<br />
Start the installation after the download has finished with a double click on that file. -
Interrupted my iphone during the new update, now phone is messsed up.
I was trying to update my Iphone 4 to the ios7, I was getting impatient and interrupted the update. My phone was showing a usb port needding to be plugged into itunes, so i tried that and nothing worked. I am still getting that screen. I even tried calling Verizon and gave me no help except said that recieved many calls about this issue. I tried turning my phone off and noting is working, i need help.
You have to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change within an existing Operating System. Such as the .8 added to 10.5.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
10.5 code was written to be able to run on both Power PC and Intel. 10.6 has completely rewritten code and only runs on Intel Macs.
You have to upgrade to 10.6.8 to be able to download iTunes 10.7. The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available at this time from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If you wait to long and they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

Downloaded App Store / 2.0, now i'm stuck in recovery mode
I tried all the ways I could to get it out of recovery, tried pressing the Power and Home buttons at the same time, when plugged in and not plugged in. Whenever I connect to my PC, it says iTunes must check for updates or something. I press Check, and another box says "iPod software update server could not be contacted." But if I press cancel, the iPod won't show up in iTunes at all. I have internet access and I can get to the iTunes store, I don't know what's wrong. I even erased everything Apple-related and re-downloaded, but nothing works. Any ideas? Can Apple replace it without cost to me?

Apple releases MacBook Pro hard drive firmware update
A new firmware fix for some MacBook Pro hard drives aims to stop random noises, perhaps bringing relief to some who have been plagued by clicking and beeping internal drives.
Hard Drive Firmware Update 2.0 was released Wednesday for some 7200rpm drives. It is intended for June 2009 model MacBook Pro systems. The 3.71MB update requires Mac OS X 10.5.7 and will update the drive firmware to 0007APM2. It can be downloaded direct from Apple.
Apple says the update "reduces certain infrequent noises" made by the drives. Last week, the Mac maker officially acknowledged noisy hard drives that have been plaguing some MacBook Pro owners for months. Prior to the public confirmation, some AppleCare representatives had told individual customers that the company was working on a fix.

I updated my IOS on my iPhone 4S and it locked up. I had to restore my phone and now iTunes will not go past the setup your phone screen even though the phone as been restored. How do I get iTunes to go past this screen so I can sync my phone again?
Depending on what iPhone you have when you get to the connect to wifi you should be able to activate your device over cellular data. Try doing a hard reset by holding the home circle button an power button until an apple pops up and the go through the setup again and when you get to the wifi part a option should be setup with cellular data iPhone 4 and above should give this option sometimes doesn't like showing up that's why u have to do a hard reset first

Restart your phone and if that doesn't help, reboot the device.
Restart the iPhone by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

While updating the firmware Update, i disrubted the download and now my macbook won't start up! Any suggestions on how to fix it? i only see a black screen and when i press the power button i hear the noise that it would make if it was going to start up. But i only see black.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ibook g4 took a install from apple update . Why is it not going past the screen where is shows Mac OS X
Did you verify the hard drive before installing the update? You could have had hard drive corruption where the computer did not know where all the files are and something didn't get installed correctly.
Did you repair permissions? The installer may not have been able to overwrite a file if the permissions on files were not set correctly.
Frankly, the easiest thing will be to re-install the operating system from the installer disc. While booted to the disc make sure you run Disk Utility First Aid to repair the drive and permissions, then install. Many of us prefer to download updates from Apple rather than rely upon Software update. we use SU to tell us what we need but we download them separately.
For which operating system was this update? Apple hasn't brought out a new system update for G4s in quite a while.
