IOS 6 RSS feed aggregator that un-truncates incomplete feeds like Google Super Reader does?

Hello!
I would love to have an app that can take the incomplete RSS feeds typically provided on websites and expand them out to the whole post, including only photos and text (no formatting etc). Google Super Reader (an extension for Google Chrome) does this beautifully. Does such an app exist?
Thanks!

  • Is there a way to set up RSS feeds like IE to get photos instead of links

On Internet Explorer when you pull up an RSS feed for photobucket it shows you a scroll down list of the photo's. Firefox gives you links that take you to the person's page. In the time it takes me to follow one link I can scroll thru 25 pictures on IE.
Is there a way to fix this??
    Thanks,
    Michelle

Look through these extensions for an extension with the features that you want to add to Firefox.

  • Which app is asking for permission when iOS 7 shows a notification that says: "exited?" would like access to twitter accounts

Is this notification coming from geofencing? Why would it need access to my twitter accounts?

I have both this and a slightly different question. I have multiple Twitter accounts on both my iOS5 and iOS6 (test) devices. i like to post tweets from various apps like the Wall Street Journal, etc. In my case, the built-in functionality simply seems to pick the first of my Twitter accounts in my list of accounts in the Settings panel, and post to that one. It would seem to make sense that there should be a user-selectable option for which account(s) should process a tweet, and it probably ought to be system-wide. No?

  • I was on safari and the bar at the top that lets me seach thing like google and a URL is gone how do you get it back?

    How do i fix it!?!?!?!?

Choose Show Toolbar or Customize Toolbar from the View menu and put it back.

  • ITunes continues to give me a message that it cannot download my podcast from podomatic -- what am I doing wrong? I am following the instructions exactly and copying and pasting the rss feed.

Help! I've watched two tutorials and it appears that this should be so simple, but iTunes will not download my podcast that I host on podomatic.com. I've copied and pasted the RSS feed. What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you!

The feed itself seems OK and can be subscribed to manually in iTunes, and the latest episode downloaded OK.
However, on checking the URL of the latest episode's media file in Safari resulted in a download: it should play in the browser. Though forcing a download doesn't seem to upset the iTunes application, the Store doesn't like it since it needs to be able to stream the file to play it in the Store page.
It's also a requirement that the server can handle 'byte range requests' (where only part of the file is requested at a time instead of the whole thing) because this is the method used by iTunes. It was testing for this that showed there was a problem because I got a 'forbidden' error (in other words, because a download is forced it's not possible to request only part of the file).
It must be possible to get this straight on Podomatic since they handle a lot of podcasts, but you will need to take it up with them and check that it's been corrected.
The first test is to paste the media file URL into Safari's address bar and hit return: after a short delay it should play in the browser window. If it downloads you still have a problem.

  • IWeb 08 and RSS feeds on godaddy

Hello friends - I am setting up a website to be hosted on godaddy. I had no problems uploading the site using easyiwebpublisher. However, I want to use the blog function. I set up the blob on iweb and I can read them on the site, but when I click the "subscribe to RSS" link on my page it says:
"The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:
You are the owner of this web site and you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.
The URL that you have entered in your browser is incorrect. Please re-enter the URL and try again.
The Link that you clicked on incorrectly points to this page. Please contact the owner of this web site to inform them of this situation."
Any help on how to get the RSS feed to work w/o mobileme?
I understand it may not work without MobileME but I wanted to know if anyone has a workaround.
    One more bit of data:
When I publish to folder the pop-up has me enter the URL for my site because "iWeb uses the URL to provide an RSS feed for your blog."
Does that mean I put http://www.weirdfantasy.com/ or should I put the URL for my RSS feed page? http://www.weirdfantasy.com/WeirdFantasy/News/rss.xml
I put http://www.weirdfantasy.com/ and I get the error message.
    Jawko -out...

If I upload the index.html that isn't in the sitefolder, won't it just overwrite the one in the sitefolder?
No. You can't overwrite something inside a folder with something you put outside the folder. It is normal for there to be an index.html in both places in an iWeb site.
I just did that using the godaddy FTP uploader and now I can't get to my homepage. Says it can't be found.
I recommend that you never use the uploader provided by a host, as they often result in things not being uploaded correctly. Instead use a real ftp app.

  • Is there any way to connect a RSS feed?

    Hello,
    This is something experimental!
I am trying to add a Data Server and source as a RSS feed like: http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml
Is it possible or am I trying in vain?
    Thanks.

the auto generated ddt contain some defintions about atom:link, if removed them, test connection works well.
    <!ELEMENT atom:link EMPTY>
    <!ATTLIST atom:link href CDATA #IMPLIED>
    <!ATTLIST atom:link rel NMTOKEN #IMPLIED>
    <!ATTLIST atom:link type CDATA #IMPLIED>
so whether it means that dtd does not support multiple naming spaces?

  • RSS feed reader stopped working

    Hi,
I have an RSS feed reading function that worked just fine until yesterday.  I grab an RSS feed from google news using cfhttp and then parse it using XMLParse.  I am attaching the code below.
Does anyone know if anything changed at Google or somewhere else that would cause my code to stop working?  Instead of the expected results, I see the browser saying the page is loading but never get any results.
Perhaps there is a parameter I never set in the CFHTTP line and skated by without it for all this time.  It is definitely hanging up on the CFHTTP call.
    Thanks for the help.

  • RSS Feed Problem with RDF files

    Hi everyone,
I created a RSS feed like it is described in this weblog: Implementing A RSS Feed Reader In The Portal
Some RSS URLs work perfectly some don't work.
An example are RSS feeds like http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise.rdf
Are .rdf files different from other RSS feeds?
How can I reference them from the portal?
    Thanks,
    Olaf

    HI Keith,
Go to ~/LIbrary/Preferences and move the com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist file to the Trash then relaunch Safari.
See if that makes a difference. If not, from the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Empty Cache. Relaunch Safari.

  • Adding google reader RSS feeds to mail

I have a gmail account for my email and RSS feeds which all syncs nicely with my phone (using google reader and email client)
I also use "mail" on the imac which is set up with the gmail email account. i expected that because the RSS feeds in google reader are linked to the same gmail account that they would also sync onto "mail" but they don't. At the moment there are no RSS feeds.
Is there anyway of syncing the google reader RSS feeds into "mail", so that if i read or add an RSS feed on the web it will also appear in "mail"
    Thanks in advance

I have a manual way that will work. It will take a few steps but you can import in whole or in batches. If you have many feeds you may want to do in batches so as not to mix them up.
This will work with Vienna. It may just work with other readers too.
    1) open Safari, and get to the bookmark manager (menu bar/bookmarks/show all bookmarks)
    2) create a temp folder we can use to import the feeds. (*1)
    3) open vienna & select a single feed or a range of feeds. (*2)
    4) drag & drop the feeds in to the temp folder in safari you created in step 2.
    5) open mail, got to (menu bar/file/add rss feed). Select the temp folder (*3)
    6) click the all the check boxes and click add and your feeds have been imported. (*4)
If you had to do it manually this worked for me. Beats cut/paste links or manually typing. There is probably other ways to do it. Hope Apple patches this RSS feature soon. I dont want to wait for OSX 10.6 to see an improvement.
    Notes:
*1 - Create a temp folder for each sub folder in your news reader. This will speed things up.
*2 - Unfortunately it does not drag and drop the folders you physically have to select the range of feeds. If your selection does include the folder (eg. your selection strattled 2 folders it will still process your selection. In other words it ignores the folder and drags your selection.
*3 - If you did create a temp folder for each folder group you had in your RSS feeder this is a step you would repeat at selecting the various temp folders. But read not 4 before you do.
*4 - Yes you have to individually click each box. Another grip is that even though you highlighted a folder in Mail it will import the feeds to the RSS main folder. This means you have to select & drag/drop into the sub-folder.

  • How to get an rss feed of all articles I have made on technet wiki?

I wonder if all of my TechNet wiki articles can be viewed in an rss feed? I wanted to rss them together in-case I have a lot in the future and so I can maybe link them to my personal blog.

Go to the TNWiki site, and search for:
    site:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/ "First published by <your user name>"
Then you'll see a RSS link, that you can use to read the RSS feed.
Another option: tag your articles with a specific tag and use the feed, like
Another option is to use bing for it, searching the source site (TNWIKI) and your name.Let me provide you with some examples, which you can customize very easily to fullfil your needs.
Search Technet Wiki with my name (only the originally authored articles)

For example, searching with my tag: pgtag
    Result:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/tags/pgtag/default.aspx
    Alternatively using Bing:
Search for : site:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/ "First published by Peter Geelen"
    Result:

  • Combining several RSS feed in one.

    Hi,
I recently read this entry to combine multiple rss feeds in one through Yahoo Pipes.
[Combining several RSS Feed in one|http://www.watblog.com/2008/06/06/how-to-combine-multiple-rss-feeds-into-one/]
I tried doing the same for several SDN forum categories but I could not do that.
    Can anybody please help me?
    Regards,
    Sudhir

I think this is a real limitation in Yahoo Pipes. Indeed, there have been several postings asking Yahoo to include this functionality but so far this has not happened. I also wanted to create some customised pipes to monitor key words within the forums and could not. I tried to disguise the https feeds into normal http feeds and then use these in pipes, but could not get it to work.
It would be fantastic if you could resolve this Craig.

  • Annoying RSS feed bug

There is a REALLY ANNOYING bug where iWeb inserts the site name in the RSS feed like this
    http://www.site.com/site/blog/rss.xml
when it should be like this
    http://www.site.com/blog/rss.xml
I find I have to edit all the files manually in something like Komodo to fix this or my RSS feeds simply do not work.
There is another REALLY ANNOYING bug where a mobile me script for search is inserted in the blog page html even when search is not enabled on the page
    e.g.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.me.com/1/up/comments/scripts/search.js"></script>
This causes a massive delay in the page loading
I find I have to edit the blog html page manually deleting this line.  Then that page loads nice and fast.
Question is how to fix these permanently so I never have to edit all these fies every time I add or change a blog entry.

Why do you think it's a bug and why "should it be."
    And on whose orders?
    But let me guess.
You elected to put the content of the site folder in the root of the server?
If you did, you broke links.
    Any way, read this :

  • How can I get my RSS feeds to show up on my iOS devices from iCloud?

How can I get my RSS feeds to show up on my iOS devices from iCloud?  The RSS feeds now show up just fine on my iMac.
On my iMac the appear in a category at the same level as In Box, Sent, etc.  However the term RSS is in lighter grey like Mailboxes, On My Mac, Reminders.  I use Snow Leopard 10.7.5.  Any help will be appreciated as I'd like to read the feeds on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5 when I'm away from home.
    Thank you.

This is helpful, but how do you get both devices to communicate to this single calendar via the iCloud?...
You did not mention that it must be through iCloud.  But then, it can't really do so if you want to maintain separate Apple IDs.
So you just set up an additional calendar on your devices.
iPads, iPhone, Macs can show multiple calendars simultaneously.  I have my work calendar and several personal calendars all showing simultaneously on my iPad, Mac Mini and Macbook Pro.   In the case of my client, they didn't need multiple calendars.  They just were going to use the one shared calendar.  But I did setup the shared Google calendar and separate personal caldendars on their iPhones.  (e.g.: Husband's iPhone = husband's personal Mac Cal + shared Google Calendar.  Wife's iPhone = wife's personal Outlook for Windows Cal + shared Google Calendar.)
