Ios 6 showtimes not local

When I ask Siri for local movie theaters or showtimes, it shows me Theaters that are 20+ miles away. Safari and Siri have location services turned on, and i would have thought that would do it. Why won't it find anything close by? Where is it pulling this information from anyway?

If the Mail app is frozen then try closing it app via the taskbar and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Problem with ios certificate server not updating the CRL

The background is that i'm currently setting up a DMVPN solution with the ipsec tunnels between the spokes created using certificates.
I'm using a cisco 877 as the CA server (its running 12.4(6)T5) to provide the certificates to the spoke routers. This part is working fine - the spokes can request a certificate and get one issue all well and good.
The problem is on the CA, the CRL lifetime is set to 24 hours but the CA is not updating the CRL so when the spokes look for the revocation list (as set in their trustpoint) they are reporting an error that the CRL is out of date and won't connect.
If is do a '#sh crypto pki server' it lists a 'CRL NextUpdate timer. this has a timestamp that is 24 hours after the last certificate was revocked. The only way i can get the CRL to be re-generated is to revoke a certificate.
So, my question is, have i missed something here? I thought the CA would automatically generat a new CRL file every 24hours.

However it does not mention if 12.4(6)T5 is affected, only that it was found in 12.4(15)T3 and resolved in 12.4(15)T10 and other more recent releases.
I would suggest trying the latest 12.4(15)Tx, 15.0(1)Mx or 15.1(4)Mx release if you can.
I supposed you've though of it, but just in case: as a workaround you can disable the CRL check on all the DMVPN routers, obviously they will still allow connections from routers with a revoked spoke.
As a (temporary?) replacement for a CRL, you could use a "certificate ACL" with which you can kind of create a "manual local CRL" :
crypto pki certificate map certACL 10
   serial-number ne
   serial-number ne
   etc.
crypto pki trustpoint myTP
   match certificate certACL
(note the "ne" stands for "not equal" so you are permitting any certificate whose serial number is not listed)
Obviously you would have to configure (and maintain!) this on each router participating in the DMVPN so this is cumbersome, but I suppose if you don't often revoke certs it might be an option.

For those of you with a Windows computer and the iOS device is not syncing or showing up in iTunes. here is a known solution that has been working for tech support!

I know this seems to be an emerging issue ever since the update to iTunes 11.1.4, some iPhones or other iOS devices are not showing up in iTunes or syncing. I'm not sure if Apple really knowns of this issue, but tech support has a (mostly) sure fire way of resolcing this issue. It's only for Windows computers though.
Go to the article http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538 and follow the Section 5 Verify Apple Mobile Device USB driver is installed. When you clik on that section, go to your version of Windows (it seems to be happening mostly across Windows 8) . And then to the section: If Apple iPod, Aple iPhone, or Apple iPad is listed.
The gist of what you need to do:
Windows 8 (since it seems to be the most affected) move your cursor to the upper ight corner of your screen) and click on the Magnifying glass. Type in devmgmt.msc and this should bring up the Device Manager. Onc eyou are in the device manager, look for the "Portable device" or "Universial Serial bus Controller" list, and you should see the "Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod" listed. Onc eyou see it, right click it, choose "Update software driver." Now, IT WILL SAY THE DRIVER IS UPDATED. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Select "Browse my computer for driver software." Onc eyou choose that, select "Let me pick from a lsit of drivers on my computer." You should see the option "Have Disk." Choose that. Again, I KNOW you do not have a physical disk, but the file we need is already on your computer. After Hard Disk, choose Browse again. Follow this file path to the file we need: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.. In the Driver's folder, you should see the "usbaaple" or "usbappl64" (if you have the 64 bit for Windows). Double click on that file, and hit OK. The file should install, and once it's finished check your iTunes!!! You may want to unplug your device and plug it back it before doing all of this. I REALLY hope this works for you all as well!

How can I change my file extension from m4p to something else? I have had no success being able to play or burn my purchased music. I keep getting error 2122. If I can change the format I should be able to move it to another player or at least burn it in Nero. Thanks.

Just had this issue. I turned WIFI off and it connected fine. Then turned WIFI back on and working as always.
It had something to do with the WIFI conflicting with the exchange server.

No, since the iPad 2 is iOS 8 compatible it can only be updated to iOS 8. Apple does not support upgrading to interim iOS versions, and removes those files from the servers when a new version is released. The only path for that iPad 2 is iOS 8.0.2.

iOS 7 will not alow podcasts lists in the music app so we have to use the podcast app
but iTunes 11.1 and / or the Podcast app on iOS 7 will not show podcast play lists created in iTunes (well maybe it does but clicking on the podcasts app causes iTunes to freeze so can not select)
sometime some folders created in iTunes have appeared with the Podcast app but others not.

Agree about the disaster part. I haven't found a fix within iTunes.
I gave up and switched to downcast 2 days ago. Even though it was a hassle to re-subscribe to all my podcasts, im so much happier.
To make switching easier, I found that in iTunes you can "get info" on the podcast and copy the RSS address to the clipboard. Put all of these in a message note. When iCloud syncs the note to your phone, you can copy and paste the urls into downcast one at a time to subscribe.
Downcast has crashed on me occassionally when I'm subscribing to feeds, but so far it has recovered gracefully each time and no data was lost.

Why is iOS 8.2 not updating on iPhone 5S? It got the user to Agree to the Terms and Conditions but nothing happens. The user is doing the update via a Wifi connection. Current OS version on the device is 8.1.3. User did a hard reboot of the device and still the same result. Not tried using iTunes as a workaround as we want to know why it's not updating via a Wifi connection. Storage space available is 9G.
If you know of someone who is experiencing the same issue, please let me know the fix. Thank you.

1. I do not know if this will help you or not. In researching this issue with my wife's iPhone 5c 8GB, the most common answer you will get is to adjust this or that setting, and disable this or that App. These at best are only a band-aide solution at all. The best reply I got was from a Verizon Rep that stated "By design, iPhones do turn off WiFi when they go dormant. So if a download is in progress, or information is being back-up wirelessly and the phone goes dormant, it will switch to use cellular data if it is left on". Afterwards, I discovered the exact same information here on the Apple Support Forum to support this statement.
2. Later onward, I read that if you keep your iPhone connected to a power source, it will prevent it from going dormant. In which case, this will prevent the iPhone from turning off the WiFi, and keep it connected to the WiFi. So far, this has help the most in controlling the amount of data usage being used, by my wife's iPhone.

Yes. I am "STUCK" with 2, 1st-gen iPads (16gb and a 64gb).
Everyone uses their iPad for different purposes, and for basic use it is great.
For a 56-year-old who uses it for email and surfing the web, its perfect! Much faster than booting up a laptop.
For more advanced users who want more intensive apps, the first-gen iPad has been left in the dust. I was upset when Photoshop Touch was released and supported only iPad2+. More and more apps are following this lead, so YES, the iPad is "stuck".
The point IS that iOS6 is available as a scaled down version for the iPhone3GS. The iPad 1 system specs are essentially the same as an iPhone 4. The lifespan of OS updates is being artificially shortened for the 1st gen iPad.

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
Working now !!!!!

I just upgraded to IOS 8 on my iPad 3 retina display and when I try to upload pictures in safari for facebook, the picture upload just stalls and never completes. This happens in other sites as well. How can I fix this? Is anyone also experiencing this issue???

This may not be the best place to post such a solution but maybe some users will find it. If it turns out to be a major problem with a simple solution maybe we will manage to document it somewhere.
Are you able to provide more details please:
* exactly what software and software versions is the problem with ? You appear to be a Windows 8 user, but presumably the Kaspersky software may be applicable to other Windows versions, which Kaspersky software is this tested with ?
* What is he exact error message or warning that Kaspersky generates in this situation ?
* is the problem documented elsewhere, preferably in a public open site, if so maybe you could provide a link
* can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.
