IOS 6 - stock Weather app corrupts hourly temperature values when opening from Notification Center

Just noticed this strange occurrence happening for the past several days...
When you open the Weather app by accessing from Notification Center, the city whose weather is currently set will display distorted hourly temperature values as follows:
Deleting the city and re-adding to the list will correct these hourly values, so Yahoo is refreshing the correct temperatures to the app.  However, this will be negated once again when quitting the Weather app (icon wiggle and "X"), accessing Notification Center and selecting the weather again in this same fashion.
The reason I am leaning toward this being an iOS 6 bug (as opposed to a Yahoo! issue) is that my iPod Touch is still on 5.1.1 - this issue does not occur here.  Hourly temperatures display normally by accessing Weather in this manner.
Does anyone know whether there is a specific, non-developer email address to submit bug reports for iOS issues?
Thanks,
Steve

Straight to the point...... How do I get rid of the stock weather app widget from notifications. Kind of pointless to have other weather widgets if i have 2 to look at. I like to keep it simple...... Less is more!

Slide the notifications window down. Today>>At the bottom of the window EDIT. Activate/deactivate what you want to show/not show.

You should always have your apps on your computer.  If you have failed to keep a copy of the old app versions, then you cannot get them back at all.
    Sorry.
Many app makers no longer support the old ios and ipod models

  • 3rd party app alerts no longer show up in the notification center

I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS7 last week and ever since alerts for 3rd party apps (like gmail and others) haven't been showing up in the notification center.  I've checked my settings for both the notification center and for my individual apps to make sure they weren't reset, made sure my apps were up to date (not all of them have had updates since iOS7 was released but some definitely have), tried toggling them on and off and rebooting, but so far nothing has helped.  The banner alerts work, but nothing pops up in the notifications.  Has anyone else experienced this or have any other ideas how to fix it?
I've generally been pretty pleased with the new version of iOS, but I'm hating everything about the changes made to the notification center.  Even if I do get my notifications to work again, I hate that we're forced to have that "Today" tab even if you switch the summaries off!  I like the unified page from iOS6 much better.

    Hi cyn999!
I have an article that can help address this question:
    iOS: Understanding notifications
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3576
As you can see in the screenshot, the weather does show up in the notification center, but it is in text form instead of icon form in iOS 7. Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

  • How to clear apps from notification center?

Is there a way to reset/clear apps from notification center? My facebook notification ain't working and i want to reset notification center.

    Yes, it does.
Tips for clearing that unread message... try them in order.
If you have a rogue New Message icon on your Homescreen, or a negative count (-1), any one of these solutions could clear it, or reset it to zero:
    Try these options:
    * Hard Reset the BlackBerry by holding ALT, CAP (right Shift key), and DEL (or with the BlackBerry powered ON, remove the battery and reinserting the battery)
    * View Messages > Saved Messages
    * View Messages > View Folders, check each folder (missed calls, SMS in and out boxes, MMS in and out boxes, Saved, browser, phone logs etc)
    * Scroll to top of message folder, over the date heading, click or press menu to MARK PRIOR OPEN
    * Change your theme and see if it persists, and change back to your desired theme. (Options > Theme > select.)
    * Wipe and reload your OS.

After migrating to a new MacBook Air from an older MacBook, iPhoto gets stuck on "uploading cache", it just "spins" forever. I downloaded a new iPhoto app and replaced it, but when opened it just does the same thing? What is going on? Where are my photos now? How can I upload photos from my camera without iPhoto?

Take the system to an Apple store to be fixed or replaced as the one you have has defective hardware.

  • IOS 8.1 Weather App/Notification Center

I'm currently using iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 5c and since i have upgraded i have noticed that, randomly, the native weather app looses its detailed information. Sometimes i can view the details (sunrise, sunset, chance of rain, humidity, etc..) other times it disappears... further, once its disappeared i have noticed the notification center weather update is also missing... very frustrating... I have reset the phone a few times and it seems to solve the problem for a short time, but the issue returns. All the appropriate location settings are on and in place... its almost like the data the phone retrieves from "The Weather Channel" is not avail at times... and other times it is... anyone with any ideas... or am i to wait for iOS 8.1.1 release hopefully with a fix?

I'm in the same boat as you. One day it just stopped working. I've tried all the tricks, and am very hesitant to try and restore just to get that blurb back.
The problem is, it was incredibly convenient and simple. That's what other app makers just don't get, I don't need a map, I don't need a huge blurb about the weather. I SURE as heck don't want to check out videos from my drop down.
    I JUST WANT THE WEATHER.
I can't seem to find anyone really reporting on this issue, not to any serious degree. I hate that it worked and then, poof, just stopped. I can only hope this is an 8.1 bug and that another release is around the corner that will fix it, because I'm getting pretty darn fed up.

  • After upgrading to iOS 8, the weather app does not show up results for any of the Indian States/cities

After upgrading to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5, the weather app does not show up results for any of the Indian States/cities. Can Apple look into this or does anyone have a solution to this.

Swipe from bottom of days listed ("Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, etc")  upwards.  I thought it was gone too but it's still there~just takes different way to access it.

  • Iphone 5, iOS 7. Weather app won't add new city!!!

I want to add weather for cities that I will be visiting soon. When searching for city in the weather app, it states "no results found". Thought maybe it was because it was an obscure town. But I get the same result when searching for New York, or Chicago...  Yes I have even attempted to search by zip codes...
I tried turning off location in the weather app then searching for new city.  My current city will "auto complete" and show up in search results, but other cities still come back as "no results found"...
A quick google search didn't seem to find anyone else having this same issue....

    Hello
I live in kampala,Uganda. Previously I moved around the country and whenever I checked my weather app it was accurate; I'am using an iPhone 5s,iOS 7.04. There came a moment where my internet connection was lost and my weather location became fixed on a completely different town where the connection was lost. It is also on the wrong date. I cannot find kampala. What should I do?

  • Just downloaded the new IOS.  LOST Weather app

How do I get it back?

If you had no apps at all, the IOS would still provide you with, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Maps, Weather....and other things.  That is what I am talking about.
Apple has never included a Weather app on the iPad. There are lots of them in the App Store, though. Perhaps one will meet your needs.
    Best of luck.

  • TS1919 Stock weather app will not track my location

My weather app and widget will not show any thing when I turn on location services just blnk app page and nothing in the widget,it just started recently.....is this a software issue or an apple issue or a yahoo issue as they are sposed to supply the data??? Is there any know fixes for it??

Location Services enabled in general, and in particular for the Weather app? Mine needed that in order to discover where I live, but having done that and establishing said location as its home, will update thru whatever it finds up, Wi-Fi or cellular.
However and after participating in several other threads regarding Weather, it would seem that different buyers get a different Weather app instead of a single standard one, maybe depending upon carrier whim. Mine's main screen looks like this:

  • How to completely delete an app from notification center in IOS not just turn it off

By mistake NDTV was added as a notification in my notification center. I went to preferences/notifications and I was able to turn it off but I want it completely gone which doesn't seem to be possible. Is it just poor programing or am I missing something. Any ideas?

If you're referring to the Notification on Mac OS (iMac), then you can take it out of the Notification Center:
Go to System Preferences > Notifications and drag the app from the top part of the left column down to "not in Notification center". Also make sure you choose 'none' on the right and UNcheck every choice offered. That will stop notifications for that app.
If you are referring to iOS, someone else will need to chime in.

  • Why doesn't my iPad have the apple weather app and how do I get it from app store ?

Cannot believe that apple would release a product without loading the standard apps that are preloaded on my iPhone. How do I get them fron apple? Why can't apple put them on app store so I can download them ? Don't want to jailbreak devie to get these apps

There are plenty free weather apps in the App Store.

  • App Tabs don't refresh when opening Firefox

I have an app tab set for local weather and an app tab for Gmail. When I open Firefox 4.0, the both weather data and the Gmail page are from the last time I manually refreshed it. The main tabs refresh to current data every time you open Firefox, but not the app tabs. I have to open each one and manually refresh them to get current data.

In order for the javascript modified content on a webpage to be refreshed on re-opening firefox (if you are either using the
"Show my windows from last time" option, or you are using pinned app tabs) the webpage needs to refresh it's content on loading.
For users with this problem: let the website developer know you have this problem.
    For web developers:
You simply need to include an onLoad in your body:
    <body onload='refresh_AJAX()'>
and write a javascript function "refresh_AJAX()", which updates all the relevant content.

  • Peel off hourly output value and subtract from previous hours (then write to file)

Here is another problem I have been working with and what I have tried so far.  Right now, my current VI is writing data to an excel file at a point every second.  I would LIKE peel off a point from this datastream once every hour and subtract it from the previous hour's value and write an hourly value to an excel file (same file or different file is ok).  I was working with a guy here at my university who had some ideas to use the Elapsed time function.  I have included a screenshot of the part of the VI containing the function we were working on.  We never could get it to work quite right.  We were having some problems getting the shift registers to work (used to subtract the current hour's value from the previous hour's value).  Let me know if you have any ideas, if maybe we are on a good pathy, or maybe I should try something altogether different.  I'm just looking for a simple solution at this point.
    Thanks,
    Jeremy
The local variable "Total Consumption" is the data stream off of the hourly values are being taken.  Currently (not shown in this screen shot), the value of "Total Consumption" is combined with the other channels into one signal that is fed into the "Write to Measurement File" VI (shown at the right).

You have a true constant wired to your stop button for the loop, which means the loop will only run once.
You may want to consider the positions of the previous and current indicators inside that loop.  It's not clear how you want them to function.  The previous indicator doesn't get updated until right as the elapsed time occurs.  The case structure gets executed, and you will immediately have a new previous value calculated, but you won't see that again until the end of the next hour.  Not sure if you are updating the current value in the false case as well.  Otherwise that would look like stale data for an hour.  If you are updating it in the other case, than you should move the local variable and the indicator completely out of the case structure and only pass in the wire to the subtraction function.
