IOS 6 weak wifi & push notification problems..

After upgrading my iphone 4G to IOS 6.1.2 , I do not recieve any push notifications from mail app and also from all other apps that I configured to use push notification service when my iphone is connected to any wifi network even my home wifi network but I noticed that when I connect iphone to 3G network, it recieve all push notifications without any problem nor delay and also noticed that iphone show weaker wifi signal when connected to my home wifi network compare to what it used to show when it was in IOS 5.. so why my iphone refuse to recieve push notifications when it is connected to wifi network and why recieving of wifi signal became weak ??
and u should know that these problems occured only after upgrading to IOS 6 and I tried to reset network settings and even do full restore to iphone many times but these problems still persist

I wish I could help you but unfortunately I can not even help myself & I think that IOS 6 is the worest firmware Apple released till now as it full of bugs affecting Maps,WiFi,3G,Push notifications,Lock screen,Music app and Battery life make me feel that I am using android device not iphone ..what is wrong with you Apple?

I tried to solve the "connect to iTunes to receive push notifications"-problem by resetting my network settings, but it only caused me to lose my internet connection when using 3G. Now I can't do anything with this stupid phone. How do I fix it? I don't want to reset anything anymore, I'm sick of this new iOs update, it seriously messed up my phone and I can't do anything properly anymore. Any help?
And btw, I would also like to get the push notifications back on. Connecting to iTunes did absolutely nothing. Resetting the network settings only made my situation worse. Help please!

Ahh The iPhone isn't "stupid" it's been called "stupid" because you are frustrated at the situation , but try
Load iTunes. Backup your phone. Make sure it is backed up !! Run restore. This will get rid of the error! And please what ever you do , do not skip the back up!

Push notification problems in ios 8.1 for outlook and hotmail imap accounts

I am having issues with push notifications ios 8.1 on my iPhone 6 for my Hotmail.com and outlook.com accounts.
No problem at all with my icloud email.
I get notifications off and on but not all the time. Push has become very unreliable and I constantly have to check my emails. The emails do sync correctly as they are in the mail app, however most of the time I don’t receive the push notifications unless I'm in the mail app. I have tried all of the below suggested "fixes", but none of them solve the problem:
- Reset Network settings - Deleted accounts/rebooted phone/added accounts again - Changed password - Changed from push to fetch and back again - Checked all push settings which are set to push on lock screen - Cellular data is enabled for mail.

Hello, I had the same issue since a few days.... really annoying. In fact I received the "badge", the label indicating I received new mails but it wasn't able to load them. I also tried everything you mentionned but now i gave up and deleted my hotmail mailbox on my iphone and reset it as exchange mailbox. ( in the screen where you can choose which type of mailbox you want to install eg. outlook/yahoo/.... you can choose the option exchange). sadly enough you can only see the mails of max 1 month old (manually to adapt 1 day / 5 days/ etc) and you can't really browse through your mail archives. But at least I receive my mails again!

Push notification problems on IOS 7?

Since updating to IOS7 i will open an app and it tells me to connect to itunes for push notifications. what do i need to do to fix this? and my imesaage and facetime? i dont understand why tehy would release a new software with these major problems.

Do the not sync?
Do they sync but not play on the iPod?
Do the play in iTunes on the computer?
Does any media now sync and play to the iPod via wifi?

Push Notification Problems on 3GS with IOS Update

I recently updated my iPhone 3GS with IOS 5. Since then I've found my phone is very slow, but also that my What's App Messenger and Facebook apps do not give me push notifications. Everytime I open the apps, it tells me to connect with iTunes to use push notifications. I've done this a few times, but it makes no difference. I don't know if I'm suppose to change any settings on iTunes, but cant find anything to change. All my Whatsapp notification settings are on. I also don't want to re-install WhatsApp because I'm scared I will lose all my messages.
I found with previous software updates that my phone slowed down, but Apple fixed it quickly. I really hope they will fix this soon. I dont understand why they don't warn users about the possible problems the new software can cause. I've read on a few sites that you cannot restore your iPhone or iPad 1 to previous software.
Hope someone can help me with my push notification settings.

Is there a fix for the iTunes push notification problem with Dropbox on iPhone ios 7.0.4

After updating to IOS 7.0.4 iPhone (which I now regret), when I open the Dropbox App, I get a warning "Connect to iTunes to use Push Notifications". When I push OK, it pops up again, constantly, so I can't even close Dropbox. Is there a fix for this? I've uninstalled and re-instaled Dropbox and checked for updates, but nothing helps. Any ideas?

You would need to sync with iTunes to get that process to work for you. Check out the article below for more information on how to resolve that issue to get the proper token to use Push Notifications again.

Sony Xperia Z1 push notifications problems

I've had my Xperia for about 2 months now and as of about 3 days ago my push notifications stopped coming through when I'm using mobile data. When I reconnect to my home wifi they all come through, but when I am out I have to go into apps (such as facebook, messenger, snapchat, gmail) to be able to see that I have notifications.
Additionally, I was going to try to uninstall and reinstall the apps but now the Play Store will not let me in. It tells me that I have to enable background data (which I do have enabled) and then when I click on the enable button that it pops up with it opens sync options.
Does anyone have a way to fix either of these problems? The push notifications is my biggest annoyance.

Then you likely have slightly more recent software and this menu has been changed to "Xperia Connectivity" in which case the Internet Settings option will be found under the "More" option in settings.

Push notifications problem, please help!

Hi,
I own a factory unlocked iPhone 4 bought at my local Apple Store. My devices runs iOS 4.2.1.
My problem is that I can't get any push notifications from apps like Facebook and Echofon Pro. I checked many times and everything is O.K. in the settings. I should receive push notifications from Facebook notifications and from people who are replying me in Twitter since I am using Echofon Pro and this app support Push Notifications for mentions.
I am also a MobileMe subscriber and I use my @me.com mail as my primary mail service so my account is registered in my iPhone 4 and I receive push notifications from new mails that I receive.
I really don't understand this problem... I have my mail push notifications but not my Echofon Pro or my Facebooks notifications...
Please, if someone would help me, I would really appreciate...

Push notifications problem; No Sim?

Hey guys, I have my old iPhone 3Gs I've been using as an iPod. It has no Sim card and now ever since taking out that sim card, I do not receive push notifications over wifi.
I was thinking it may be a firmware problem or the push notifications server not responding to apples servers.
I have restored my device numerous times to try and fix.

IOS 7 Issue -Push Notifications

Good Evening All,
I am having an issue with the recent iOS7 update.
My wife & I both have iPhone 4s (same apple IDs), I recently updated our phones to iOS7, mine worked without issue, however, my wifes phone keeps getting the message "Connect to iTunes to use Push Notifications"
I have viewed the other forums and tried to do backup & restore the iphone, however, it wont let me do this as its saying I need to "turn off find my iphone" before i can do this, unfortunatley, when i try to turn this off in the actual iPhone it keeps asking for the password to our old Apple ID, which I can not reset !
On her phone under settings, itunes & app store it is set up with the correct applie ID.
Does anyone know how I may be able to resolve this issue ??

Believe me, you almost have to have the SLS machine sitting on a public IP for everything to work correctly, but it does appear to work for us (20+ iPhone/iPod/iPad users, 50+ laptop/desktop clients). SSL is an absolute requirement for all services, and you must use the FQDN for all services when configuring the clients. Users should be shortname@FQDN when configuring services on the clients. Reverse DNS must match forward DNS (FQDN) for the server, and the SSL certificate also must match the FQDN of the server. Aliases make a huge mess of things (IMHO), so I don't use them.
Everything still works on the iPhones and iPods running iOS 4, but it seems the push notifications are a bit slower for some reason in iCal. I was messing with the iPod this morning using iCal, and noticed an update made to a calendar from a desktop took a couple minutes to appear on the iPod. Still much faster than the 30 minute "pull" interval configured on the iPod for services that do not support push.

Nokia lumia 520 push notification problem with wha...

I have a Lumia 520, and i find that i do not receive push notifications for my whatsapp messages. I have to open the application before the messages come through. I would like to know how to correct this. I have checked all my settings.

On a HTC-forum I saw the next solution, and it works also for Nokia Lumia! That means it is a Microsoft Issue!
1) Unpin Windows store from start
2) ERASE Internet Explorer History
3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings-->keyboard-->add keyboards
(CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT REQUIRE DOWNLOAD)
4) When downloading is finished, it will ask to restart and install
5) After installation and restart do the following;
A) UNINSTALL WHATSAPP
B) REINSTALL WHATSAPP (you can get conversation history back when asked, so no problem)
After this the push function works, but there is still a delay up to 10 minutes! So when you test, be patient.
NO BETTER PRESSURE MEDIUM THAN ANTI ADVERTISING SO AFTER THIS EXPEDITION PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STATUS TEXT TO:
USING WINDOWS; THAT MEANS DELAY UP TO 10 MINUTES

Push Notification Problems in new Update dont work

If some push notification apps do produce sounds and badges, and other apps don't, this is due to the particular app server, not the phone. Not all apps actually have sounds and badges, even though they have settings for them.
If you know that a particular app does use these (i.e. they work on another iPhone), you can try deleting and reinstalling the apps, reseting your phone, reseting all settings, restoring from a backup and restoring as a new iphone.

Push notification problems with 4s.

Recently I have been having problems with my whatsapp application, it keeps prompting "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications" how to solve this very annoying problem? Please help. Never jailbreak before.

You'll need to address your problem to the Whatsapp developer. This has nothing to do with the Iphone but the apps itself.
Try reading the app review and see if other users are having the same problem and if there is a resolution.
